We come maybe a few times a year. Mainly to burn energy at the playground. Read some of the reviews and just wanted to comment on those. To the reviewer who was upset about getting a tow away notice. I'd be upset too. In fact, if it was me.. I'd try to track down the people who left that note and reported in the first place. Security persons should take ownership too absolutely especially after they got the report and supposedly inspected your vehicle themselves. Unless your placard wasn't visible, that's just not right. I also saw a reviewer mentioning about 2 annoying kids clogging up the slide going up the wrong way. You were way too nice. I would've slid down myself after several verbal warnings. Shame on those kids' parents (if you can call them parents) for not watching their brats. I've seen this at times too and usually a verbal warning and rebuke from me was enough to straighten out the pests who abuse the playground like that. I mean obviously this should, in no way, reflect the rating of Watters Creek area since it's not their fault there are selfish kids/parents who visit there. But I still appreciated reading the review because I can empathize. Next time, don't hesitate to just use the slide as it's intended. read more

I am very upset and disappointed in the security of watters creek. We were given a tow away sticker and a nasty note because my seemly healthy husband parked in handicap, where he legally can, due to healthy issues with a visibly placed placard! I called and spoke to security and the supervisor brushed it off, stating some angry man pointed it out so because of that, they posted the sticker. Bottom line, look better when about to post a tow away sticker..next time I won't be so kind over my dying husband. read more

Beautiful outdoor shopping center with a courtyard. Additionally, it's a great place to dine, shop, and spend time with your family. Excellent dining and shopping alternatives are available here. There are plenty of parking spots, very clean, and pet-friendly, and a great lively atmosphere. There is a play area there for kids, and my son loves it. Explore this area to see many gorgeous sights, including waterfalls, bridges, statues, trivia, pleasant vistas, entertainment, and more! It essentially serves as a one-stop shop for a full family! This picturesque area is a wonderful place to hang out. Whether you are shopping for clothing, getting a facial, enjoying a cup of coffee, craving a sweet treat from a candy store, having a drink at the bar, taking the kids to feed the ducks, or eating a meal all'aperto there is always something to do. The open green area is surrounded by restaurants with patio seating and has a small split-level play area for kids. On chilly nights there is a large fireplace right at the entrance of The Lion and Crown to keep you warm. You can choose to park your car curbside if it is available or utilize one of the parking garages if street parking is full. If you enter on the Market Street side there is a nice walking trail to burn off some calories from all the delicious meals. Finding a parking spot wasn't as difficult as I initially expected, but I mainly visit during the week, so it's probably easier on a weekday than a weekend. There are parking meters, but don't be alarmed the meters are voluntary and the money goes to a charity which I thought was pretty cool! read more

My new favorite place to shop and get my steps in. Watters Creek shopping plaza is just too cute. It has various different nice stores like Sephora, Vera Bradley, Victoria's Secret, Gymboree, Anthropologie, Z Gallery, Loft, Bath and Body works, DSW, Michaels etc. There are some unique boutiques, cafes and bakeries too. My favorite is the small pond area (picture added) and the all year round decorations. It's very enjoyable when you walk around the scenic views, shop at all the cool stores and get to listen to the music through the speakers everywhere. Then if you want to get something to eat there are all the restaurants like The Blue Fish, Cheesecake Factory, P.F Chang's, Brio, Panera and few others. And if that's not enough, you can always get some groceries or fresh food from Market Street which is right there. Love that I live so close to this super chic plaza. read more

"Light the Night" Event, Saturday, November 18, 2017 This was the first time we participated in any Christmas tree lighting event so we don't really have anything to compare it too. I can say it was beautifully decorated, thousands of lights, the energy was exciting, there were Christmas events on every corner and patrons were surprisingly patient. Nicely printed brochures were handed out to help navigate the place. Events included: horse drawn carriage rides, balloon artists, caricaturists, face painters, hot cider & cookies, ALL FREE (tip is appreciated but optional). The Allen Symphony Chorus was wonderful. KISS FM Radio had a cute photo booth set up with Billy the Kid. Pet friendly. And there was League of Animals pet adoption set up. The evening was scheduled to end with Santa arriving, along side a tree lighting ceremony, Nut Cracker dancers & fireworks. Highly recommend this event for all ages. Minimum places to sit for those who need it. So, why ** Four Stars? ** The event was from 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm. We got in a long long long line for the carriage ride. Didn't see any carriages pulling in or out. So my husband walked to the front of the line to see what was going on. By this time it was 5:30 -- the carriages were just setting up. One lovely white carriage (seated 4-6) and the hay ride type (seated approx 12-15). We figured we waited this long, so why not wait a little longer. We felt so much anxiety about this ride, felt like we would be next, within two rounds, but then we'd still be standing there. Rides were averaging between 7 - 15 minutes depending on the traffic the carriages had to work around. An hour later we were still waiting. Then we heard the fireworks!! We realized at that moment that Santa had arrived, the tree lighting ceremony started and the fireworks was done. So many parents around us with small children also realized they had missed the show and were ... irate! In perspective, the carriage rides take place on the far South end of Watters Creek over by DSW shoes. You are so isolated and removed from the actual event (an easy 10 minute walk to get back to the main area) that you loose the sensation about what is going on. Unless you had a schedule in hand, most didn't, you wouldn't know. There really should have been some sort of "Ho Ho Ho" over the microphone around 6 pm, a prelude Christmas song like "Here Come's Santa Clause" or a simple announcement like "Santa will be arriving soon!" but there wasn't anything to bring you back into what was going on. This would have given people the opportunity to decide to go or stay in line. This is my biggest heads up from me to you ~ There were so many sad sad faces when the fireworks went off!! That was the clue that the Santa event was over. So many little ones missed out on Santa's arrival and that shouldn't have happened. People were so tired standing in that long line, children whinny, crying. plopping on the ground and inpatient. There should have been something all along that wall to entertain those kiddos. Us adults weren't as disappointed as the little ones, but I have to admit it ruined our night, after all we were there for the tree lighting, Nut Cracker Ballet, fireworks and of course Santa too. We missed all of it!! Thus, four stars. Maybe it should be three. We'd go again next year ... no carriage ride next year! read more

A cute outdoor shopping center so close to home! It has Sephora, Antropologie, DSW and Michaels! There's lots of restaurants too - Fish City Grill, The Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang's. Some restaurants have outdoor dining overlooking the green. There's a playground for the kiddos and I see lots of children playing on the green. There's a couple parking structures and if you're lucky there's some parking spots near the store/restaurant you plan on going to. It's so pretty on a nice day! read more

I'm writing this review not for Watters Creek but for the parents who let their kids play on the slide: PLEASE TELL YOUR KIDS TO NOT CLIMB UP THE SLIDE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. EVERYONE needs a turn. My niece and I were there today and she really wanted to use the slide but was very upset when she didn't get as many turns because there were 2 boys who kept climbing up the slide. When I was on the treehouse watching my niece, she barely had 2 turns because these 2 boys were just not letting anyone use the slide. I COULD NOT RISK LETTING MY NIECE NOR THE OTHER KIDS TO USE THE SLIDE FOR FEAR OF EVERYONE GETTING INJURED. TO THE PARENTS OF THESE TWO BOYS: THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Even after me and another upset parent told these two boys several times to not climb up the slide, they still did not listen. I realize that kids will be kids but this has really crossed the line. There was even a long line of kids who were waiting to use the slide but they were unable to because of these two boys. I've already notified Watters Creek management so they can send a security guard to keep a closer eye on this issue because this is NOT something that should be taken lightly. read more

This was one of the first places I visited in Dallas before we moved and luckily its just a few miles from where we live now. Its a great place to go hang out, have a meal and just take a stroll if thats what you want to do. It has a decent selection of shops if you want to go shopping. Some of my favorites are VS, Charming Charlie, DSW and Sephora. Lots of restaurant options to choose from as well. They have fun outdoor activities when the weather is good like live bands. There's a small play area for kids and lots of outdoor seating. You can easily make an afternoon or evening out of a trip here. read more

Watters Creek is a great place to shop and spend an afternoon walking around. The surroundings are gorgeous and everything is very family friendly. There are many restaurants to choose from (Mi Cocina, Grimaldi's, PF Changs, Brio, Cheesecake Factory, Village Burger Bar, Pot Bellys, Terra, Nestle, Londoner, Naan, and I'm sure I'm missing some). There are many boutique shops, mainly for the 20 something year olds, not too much for men to look at. One complaint is the parking. I love to go to this area for lunch but parking is no fun and it always adds an additional 15 minutes to find a spot or to walk to any of the stores. There are "metered" parking. You won't get fined if you don't pay the meter. It all goes to charity. (Side note: I'm not saying to not pay, just in case you are low on change that day) read more

Nice little shopping center with something for everyone. There are lots of big brand stores like Victoria Secret, DSW, Bath and Body Works, and others. There are also more boutique stores like Kendra Scott, Francesca's, Altar's State, and some even smaller more local boutique stores. Some new shops are popping up, that remind me a lot of the smaller antique type shops on the McKinney square. The ACO even has a boutique store with the nicer donated items they get! There are plenty of restaurants, and dessert places to choose from. Also a great place for kids. Here is a big grassy area to sit and relax, that is right next to a really neat playground for children. It's a great area for families, shopping, & eating. Parking can be a hassle, expect to park in one of their farther lots, or garages. They also do events like Oktoberfest, and Art Fairs, so check for these! They are a ton of fun, but it's best to use a ride share during those events, as parking is even worse. read more

The location and the structure of this shopping center kind of reminds me of like Atlantic Station in Atlanta OR a shopping center in California. It's so hilly and spaced out and the architecture of the buildings is so different from what I've see in DFW. A great place for pretty much anything. A date, a special occasion gathering, to take pictures, a birthday dinner, happy hour...ANYTHING. The sidewalks are spacious and enough room for everything to walk on and be comfortable. This by far is my favorite shopping complex in the Plano area. I love coming here with friends for dinner and then strolling around the streets when I've got a bit of free time. It's simply stunning. There are quite a few photo opportunities to get gorgeous pictures right behind the Cheesecake factory and Brio's. One of my favorite things to do on a summer night here is to get a reservation on their patio overlooking the creek. I love that even during peak holiday times (I'm talking day before Christmas people!!!) it isn't crowded. It's probably not the first place you want to go if you're doing some massive shopping, but it does have a good chunk of all my favorite stores! DSW, Bath and Body Works, Charming Charlie's, Michael's, White House Black Market, Sephora. What else could you ask for? OH yeah! Awesome food. Don't forget to check out these amazing places. Frogg Coffee Bar and Creperie, Grimaldi's, Pacuigo, Sublime Chocolate Bar. Definitely don't forget to stop by some of these unique restaurants. I really love coming to Watters Creek! I don't come often because it's not really in the side of town I frequent, but when I do make the trip out here, it's always a good one. I prefer to come on the weeknights because it's empty and you can find parking easily. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, even a Market Street. What I really like about Watters Creek is that they always have fun family events going on that are usually free to enjoy. The setting of the place is nice and the little waterway and grassy area make it an enjoyable place to hang out. It's conveniently located right off of the Bethany exit off 75. Some of my favorite restaurants are Brio and Cheesecake Factory. This place is a great alternative to a mall, especially if the weather is nice. read more

Update: issue resolved by Regional Manager after multiple calls with multiple people. I appreciate the resolution, but the experience wasn't a fun one, although the Regional Manager took ownership to put things right. This review is for the Santa place and Santa Pics only. They took almost $100 and still no digital pics!! I took the kids up there yesterday to get Santa pics. We arrived early and were first in. The people were friendly and the Santa was great. Ended up buying 2 prints, all-pics digital hi-res download and a couple of nice frames. Pics were good and the frames were nice. Having said that, it's been over 24 hours and I still haven't gotten an email with a link to download the hi-res pics. During the check-out the employees said I would either get an email link right away or within 24 hours. It's been way over 24 hours and no link. I've called up there twice. After the first time, the employee seemed annoyed but said he would call me back within the hour. Two hours later he hadn't called, so I called back. He seemed annoyed that I called, he interrupted me and immediately started saying that they were very busy, (basically it seems like he hadn't got around to it) his regional manager was there and she would call me back. If they are busy, they are busy with people who haven't paid them a dime yet. I've paid, they took my money, haven't given me the goods that I paid for, they aren't helping me and they aren't calling me back. So much for memories with the kids. The employee wouldn't give me a time when the regional manager would call. I've been waiting and waiting for a call. Never heard back from the regional manager. I've tried calling back multiple times and haven't gotten a response at all. At this point, I feel like they have taken my money and did a runner. So disappointed!! read more

We were on our way home from a friends house in Allen needed to stop somewhere convenient on the way home, so we pulled in on a whim. This place is hopping. Packed wall-to-wall (or store-to-store) with people on a breezy evening, with kids running and playing, families laying on blankets having picnics. Boutiques, chain stores lots of restaurants line the streets. So, why the 1 star? Here's why: I thought at some point that everyones skin was going to come off and they were going to be cyborgs underneath. And I kept thinking something was weird about the whole place (the same feeling I got in Southlake), and I couldn't put my finger on it. Then, my husband said, "Does it feel like we're on a movie set?" Yes! That's it! Or in Shopping Land at Disney! No trash, no shabby looking people, and I'm pretty sure there were no bugs. Everyone on the lawn was looking in the same direction, as if there were a band playing or a movie being shown...but there wasn't. (queue creepy stepford music). The whole place creeped me out. I know people love these places, these little urbanized playgrounds in the heart of the suburbs for the lack of all of the things that real cities have: crime. dirt. smells. But they also lack the character, archetecture, and community feel that a true neighborhood has. read more

I love the variety of stores and restaurants they have here. They have such a great ambiance. Music is even played in the garage parking to instantly set the classy shopping vibe going. It is a great place to shop and dine. There is a park located at the center of Watters Creek with a nice play area for the children. They have a massive open grass area where you can have picnics and watch the kids play on the "Tree House" playground. My kids always have a blast playing here. During the Summer they have live bands on the weekends and movie nights. Its a very festive shopping center. Lots of activities going on. Sometimes they even have craft fairs. Its a nice place to stroll on the weekends. They built this shopping center with lots of quality and care. I also use to live at the apartments on top of this shopping center. Its a very convenient place to live because I would just walk downstairs and everything is right there! They even have a grocery store at Watters Creek. So you have everything at your fingertips. Some of the stores and restaurants even provide resident discounts. Parking is fairly easy. There are two garage parking structures and parking available on the street next to the stores. Weekend nights they provide free valet parking. They have meters at some of the stalls but they are donation only. Some of restaurants and stores I enjoy are Bonnie Ruths, Blue Fish, Village Burger, Sephora, Bath and Body Works, and Z Gallery. There is something for everyone at this shopping center from Bars to restaurants to furnisher stores to clothing to salons and shoe stores. The list goes on and on. OH and on Christmas they light the whole complex up with a huge Christmas Tree. Very festive. They even provide carriage rides with real horse! I sure do love Watters Creek!! read more

Love this outdoor shopping center!! It doesn't hurt that it is 2 miles from my house ;-). We probably visit something inside this shopping village once a week. Either Village Burger Bar, Sephora, Market Street for some groceries, DSW, Anthropologie, and my favorite accessories store - Francesca's. The best part about this place are the events they do - almost every weekend during the spring/summer/fall there is something kid friendly and FREE to do on their beautiful grounds. The kiddo's run around and play near the creek and torment the poor ducks, there is typically live music and so many delicious restaurants it can be hard to pick. We spent our Halloween at their trick-or-treat event and it was awesome. Love it! So just put in a Banana Republic and I'll never need a mall again ;-). read more

This outdoor mall is a bit more upscale than Firewheel. It's clean and very well kept. We valet parked last Saturday while dining for dinner and somebody broke my husband's driver side exterior mirror. It was obvious they hit it with a fist so it left us defeated. Love this shopping center that is so close to my home! They have free concerts down by the creek during the summer and horse and buggy rides during the holidays. There is also a running trail on the west side near Village Burger. It's so relaxing to just stroll down the sidewalks and visit the many businesses along the way. I absolutely adore this shopping center! It is so cool to be out here on weeknights where there is usually a live band performing and everyone's kiddos run around playing in the stream, watching the ducks, or playing on the bronze statues. It just has a very nice, homey vibe to it. So glad I have a place like this in my neighborhood to shop, eat, and hang out in. My favorite season of Watters Creek is of course, Christmas! There's beautiful lights wrapped around every tree and words can not describe the "Big White Tree." I'm sure different people call it different things, but I get so excited during this time of year because my family and friends go eat at MiCocina and always like to get a table at the rear of the restaurant with a view of this gorgeous tree! There are lights, literally, wrapped around every branch. Then there's these LED icicle lights that are so beautiful! I'm a nerd for Christmas lights, they just bring me joy. I specifically love Blue Fish and the wine bars that are here, they also have a beautiful Victoria Secret location and Sephora!
