In the past, I haven't been a fan of "outdoor" malls. Probably because the designs never have appealed to me. Parking has been a problem at older multiuse shopping centers, as well as congestion. That has all changed here. Combining office buildings,restaurants, apartments, townhomes, and parking garages, they hit a home run with Shops at Legacy. A combination of upscale shops, gift boutiques, spas and superb restaurants, makes this the lastest go too in North Dallas I've shopped at the shops and eaten at several of the restaurants and never been disappointed. Even during the pandemic, the place is busy and mostly safe. The parking garages make for an easy and convenient in and out. I say go! read more

I enjoyed my time walking through the shops. I think there was a bit of congestion at times but nothing insane. What I did notice which was a bit of a turn off was in some of the shops there were a lot of employees loitering in front. I found this a bit tacky. The only shop/store that got way too busy and they should have limited the amount of people in it, was Starbucks Reserve. That place was insane. Hard pass for that. I loved the fountains. My daughter enjoyed the water shows lol. read more

This place has grown. It has something for everyone. Especially during the holidays, it's all decked out in lights. Check out warby parker, sprinkles cupcakes, and Bob's chophouse. They have Lululemon, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton along with other high-end stores. read more

I have lived near here since it opened and I am looking forward to Truluck's opening I think that Bob's and Cap Grille need some competition. Right now they are under construction which tells you they are innovative with a vision so some of the places have moved to new locations. I just want to restaruants to offer GREAT food not ***. Especially when you have Legacy West I prefer this simple place as their is a lake, ice cream shop with chocolates Kilwin's, trees and places to relax and walk your dog. I am so glad somone opened a franchaise for Kilwins otherwise I would go to Delray, FL or New Jersey. It is my fav in the country. The Shops At Legacy, outdoor shopping plaza, has 2 sides of shopping (that you will have to cross the street for). I appreciate that this shopping center is dog friendly with some dog friendly restaurants. My husband and our little girl dog came by here the Thursday after Christmas since we were having lunch with some friends at Kenny's Smoke House (this restaurant is not dog friendly). We originally arrived at 11:40 am to find parking for our 12 pm lunch reservation. I wanted to come early because I had read from other Yelpers that the parking here can be challenging (thank you Yelpers for your informative reviews). Because it was early and a weekday, we were able to find a few spots still open (but was surprised to see how many spots were already taken). There is a parking structure around the corner from Kenny's though in case you are unsuccessful at finding a spot outside. Walking around this place, you notice right away that there are a ton of restaurants here and would highly recommend making plans to meet you friends here if you don't know where to eat for your next meal. Then just decide among the choices offered here (what does your stomach tell you when you arrive?). There are also a good amount of shops here, but most of these shops are not what you would expect to find in your typical mall, like North Park Center (my favorite mall in Dallas). As we walked around, we saw a nice Christmas tree display and took some photos. I would imagine that this place would be beautiful during the holidays at night. If you are in this area, it may be worth a visit (just have patience when trying to find a parking spot). read more

Kudos to the shops of legacy for going all out for their tree lighting. We arrived there kind of late around 6 and the activities started around 4. However it was still filled with lots of people at that time. The tree looked amazing! There was music and lots of little tents of different businesses. It was a family night. We enjoyed walking around and enjoyed the Christmas spirit! That street was closed so it made it safe for the little ones to walk with their families. There was even a band performing some popular hits. Some people were dining in the many restaurants options that area has and others just walking and taking everything in like we did. They had face painting, Santa, balloons and sweets samples. It definitely was a great way to start my thanksgiving break! read more

This shopping center has been around for a while. Some staples of the area are Jamba Juice, Starbucks, my personal favorite Mexican Sugar, and there are tons of restaurants in the area. Head across the highway to visit legacy west, and you will feel like you have transported to a different city completely. Luxury hotels, restaurants, clothing stores, etc. Both areas are nice, the only thing to complain about is the amount of smokers in this area. If you're a non-smoker I would suggest to not move here. Often times I'm trying to go into a restaurant we will pass by a couple smokers. Mi Cocina is good as well. read more

I love this outdoor hang-out mall/restaurant/whatchamacallit place. It's definitely one of the best places to spend an evening or a lazy Sunday brunch. I really like coming her on Holidays too (like New Year's Eve dinner). It's bustling enough to be a little celebration, but not quite overwhelming as some place downtown. They have some of the most amazing restaurants here. The service and food might not always be up to par, but they location is simply great. I love spending a summer afternoon out on the patio enjoying the beautiful day. The best part is walking around before or after brunch, checking out a few cute shops. It's also a great place for photo-opps. Definitely recommend it for some homecoming/prom pictures, engagement photos, and just a we need some cute photos so I can instagram/facebook/tumblr/etc. them. Parking is the only downside. I can never remember where I parked in such a big complex. But if you find a garage and can manage to remember where you left your car, you're good to go. :) read more

Mostly good things to say about The Shops. Mostly. Tons of restaurants. Tons of variety. Some shops sprinkled in, most of which don't interest me and, dare I say, are geared towards the Dallas female. :) I'd say I never shop here, but I did have good luck at Solitaires getting a custom ring done for Wifey for Christmas. :D Other people focus on shopping, but I see The Shops as more about eating and imbibing. Add in some bars - many good and some meh - and you've got a pretty nice area. You can walk all over the shops, making bar hopping or date night easy and convenient. Before dinner drink. Nice dinner. After dinner drink - and / or dessert. The fountain in front of the Marriott is great and has a nice path around it with benches. Definitely a nice stop for date night. Parking sucks. It just suuuuucks. You might get lucky and get a street spot, but valet rules much of that and 20-min parking takes out most of the rest. Parking garages are tight and just plain suck. Whoever designed them needs a swift kick in the juevos. Be careful, watch out around corners, and park next to nice cars - the spaces aren't very wide. Parking aside, The Shops have a lot to offer. The Shops at Legacy easily was the game-changing development in Plano in the late 1990s. All elements feel very natural, from housing to hotels, shops to restaurants. It's walkable, fun and has a bit of everything for everyone. I love being able to park and walk from shop to shop, and grab a bite to eat or a coffee to stay properly fueled. The best place to shop and dining on the weekend. There are a lot of good brand name stores as Sephora, Mac, J.Crew, FrontGate, Madewell, Bonobos...They also have many incredible discounts for Christmas and New Year. There is a Legacy Hall food court with many great fast food stores as knife burger, press waffle co, roots chicken shak, sharwarma bar and so on. Should enjoy your free time here on the weekend. They also have a new year's eve event on Dec 31st. Check it out. However, they need to improve the parking garage. It is so difficult to find a lot on the weekend. Too many spaces are reserved for VIP and private parking. read more

Do you want to see a movie? Go to brunch? Have a cup of coffee with a friend? Buy some workout clothes...you can do all of that and more here. They have a few little boutiques, an Urban Outfitters, a MiCocina (or Taco Diner) and also some non chain type places. You can walk around the area, sit outside, and sometimes they will do live music outdoors on the weekends. There's plenty of free parking and lots of things to do in the area any time of year. Overall I like it and will always find an excuse to make my way out here! You can never go wrong with the shops! They have everything from high end to low end (price wise) restaurants, bars, and boutiques. There is something for everyone. Parking can be a bit frustrating here, but most of the places offer free valet. That's one thing people don't know. I discovered that not too long ago and my trips to the shops have been a lot easier. Once you are done with eating, drinking, and shopping, you can walk around and enjoy the scenery. This is a great place to visit for people visiting from out of town. Imagine all the stores that are available at an indoor mall, and they are then placed outside in a small downtown-like setting. Wonderful outdoor sitting areas and public places. Hear music in the streets. This setting takes full advantage of the warm Texas weather, especially at night, when it is more comfortable. Shops at Legacy has always been just alright. Because there is nothing else in the area, some of the places here can get away with higher prices. In the next few years, there's going to be a lot more competition. The shops are nice and I always like the decorations in the winter. I always bring my out of town friends here, but they're never impressed. The shops, restaurants and bars look better than they actually are. I think they'll be forced to step it up when the Omni gets built :) read more

Great area for a night out! At the Shops at Legacy, there is such a variety of things you can do whether it's shopping, eating at a restaurant, staying at a hotel, even going to get some ice cream and more. Most of the restaurants in this area can be pretty expensive, but they are are all delicious! The Shops at Legacy is a place you can take family, boyfriend/girlfriend, and coworkers. This is definitely a area I would recommend to anyone if they haven't visited before! The only disadvantages are that it usually is a pretty busy area so it can be crowded, and most of the places are expensive. If you haven't been in this area, I would highly recommend you go try it out sometime! read more

Really cute area with an assortment of restaurants and shops. I was expecting a mall but was totally wrong. It is similar to the layout at Park Lane near NorthPark. You can park the car and just wander as everything is located close together and the planner had in mind a walking experience. I had not been here before and it is quite far for us to drive but I was favorably impressed with the selection of shopping and eating. I saw lots of chain restaurants--Half Shells, Zoe's, Mi Cocina, Chipotle, lots of others--and some places that do not appear to be chains. Angelika is there if you want a movie. Lots of free public parking which is great. We went to Kenny's Smokehouse and it is great. The Shops seem like a really great way to spend a day and relax with eating and shopping. read more

It's always the first place I bring my guests from out of town, it's the best place to be during Christmas time with all the lights, and there's really something for everyone (there's even a cemetery in the middle of all the lights and chaos!) OK I actually LOVE the Shop at Legacy and all my favorite bars and restaurants around here! I have been coming here for at least three years. Pretty good spot and nice area in Plano to hang out and have dinner with family and friends, or even a good choice for a date. There are a lot of good high-end bars and restaurants, like season 52, Fireside Pies, Kenny's Smokehouse, Henry's Tavern, etc. Or even Chipotle and Greek restaurant. The place is very nice, clean, and maintained well. There is a parking building behind all restaurants, which is nice. It is quiet and relaxing enough to pull out a book and start reading, or just take a relaxing walk. It can get crowded, but not too busy and loud. So check this out pals :) read more

The shops of legacy is either a hit or miss depending on your style and the occasion. If you are looking for a low key date night this place is a 5 star. You can get great mambo taxi's a taco diner and usually catch some music somewhere down the block. You can then end the night catching a movie. Now if you are ready to go clubbin and want to dress to impress this may not be the place. There are a few bars but I can't say i would drive here (i would go to uptown) I live close by so i do enjoy the shops and restaurants. read more

Don't read the rave reviews from 2018 to cover up the mess of last night. What a debacle. This center has gone downhill. How can you schedule an event with no traffic control, bathrooms accessible for emergencies for a 2 block area. 3 hour wait to get through and trapped and could not escape the line for emergency. Safety was not their top concern more about people coming to a center that did not even have stores open to help you out. Don't remove this post people need to know what is happening at The Shops South mess we didn't even make it to the North Side given the bad layout. My son thought it was lame and we were trapped in traffic with no exit..hardly safe. I guess you could not afford to pay the police to help direct traffic and keep things moving. read more
