Sad Robot because the mall is almost vacant?
    Guy H.

Another missing review!? This mall was opened around the time of 911. there was a brand new mall about 3 miles away and another established 20-year-old mall to the south. The entire concept was flawed from the beginning I thought. It struggled for years then got a little traction about 15 years ago then bam! the financial crisis of 2008 and the rest is history. The regional mall with few exceptions is dying and this is a prime example. It's a great design with beautiful common spaces but the anchor tenants with the exception of Macy's and Neiman Marcus have moved out leaving a strange mix of other retailers. If you are new to the area and looking at this review to determine what mall to go to...skip ahead to the next one. You probably wont be happy here.

Walked into this mall because it's much less congested on a regular basis. My daughter wanted to go to a few shops but we found out that this particular mall closes pretty earlier than normal malls do. Fridays 11a.m. -8p.m. So we ended up just going to one our favorite restaurants California Pizza Kitchen. We prayed over our food as usual and after two bites my daughter found hair in her pasta. It may've already been wrapped up in the reusable silverware that's why I normally ask for plastic utensils. We asked for the manager his name was Philippe my daughter reminded him that this wasn't the first time this had occurred. She explained to him that he was the manager the first time she came in a few months ago and he handled that particular situation. He did vaguely recall the time. He apologized, remade her Shrimp Alfredo pasta a second time and everything was fine. Philippe was very nice he even removed the pasta off of her ticket. Our server Angel, was kind of shy but decent. Hopefully she becomes more of a social butterfly soon because working as a server that's the only way you'll be tipped for great servicing. Food For Thought.

Such a great space for anyone or any family. Clean. Air conditioner. Beautiful lighting. Not much stores. But they will be soon be under construction to add hotels & apartments so I know a lot of store are moving. They have nice clean bathrooms with changing tables for children and a sink included next to the changing table. Changing stations everyone around the mall all you need is to have your charger with you. Only three food options in the food court. Many restaurants outside in the district area provided all open on their own hours.

This mall is honestly kind of sad. I was at Willow Bend on a Saturday at noon, and there were 2 people eating at the food court. The rest of the mall was empty. This was proven by the fact that the kids train driver was on his phone watching a movie. I would do the same if the mall was a ghost town. People are trying to sell you stuff left and right because they probably barely make a sale. It was a nice mall, and had charm to it, with a good selection of stores, but empty. We went to StoneBriar an hour later, and it was absolutely packed. Why don't people come to Willow Bend? That is the question.

Cute mall with all kinds of fun shops! Love the Crayola store! Would be cool to see some vegan options in the mall. Bit of a ghost town in the food court and I couldn't find anything vegan unfortunately.

I was in awe as soon as I walked in. The last time I saw a shopping mall so beautiful was in Qatar. The mall had beautiful high ceilings upon entering that opened up to such elaborate designs and architecture. It's a great place to just sit and relax with a cup of coffee while the family enjoys their shopping or some entertainment. Lots of food and things to do for people of all walks of life.

When the wind blows very hard - like hurricane or tornado type stuff - the Shops at Willow can take it. They never break. The Shops At Willow Bend... but they never, ever break. Willow Bend is an absolutely massive monstrosity of a Mall in Plano in the Dallas suburbs, located out in the West End of Plano near Frisco. It's pretty fancy and well put-together and looks like it was recently renovated, but funnily enough it is now getting renovated again. Good times. We liked hanging out here and Barbie looked exceptionally spectacular when we were here but then she always does. We probably went in about three-quarters of the stores in the whole mall and spent half a day here so we know this mall better than almost anybody. Except maybe the janitors. Not to be confused with taking tourest snaps of Miss Jackson's home (Janet Tours). I'm interested to see what it looks like after they finish it because it's already pretty big and it's already pretty fancy. Parking can be severely problematic though. Like a really bad loft (a problem attic).

The mall is pretty empty. Lots of stores closed. Most stores charge mall prices 30% above market.

It was alright but it's kinda dead. A bunch of empty stores and selection wasn't that big tbh.

Ask the Community - The Shops at Willow Bend

What time does the mall open for walkers?

5:00am. But maybe call to confirm.

Is the apple store still there?

No they closed down. Apple Willow Bend and its nearby neighbor in Frisco, Apple Stonebriar, have closed their doors. In their places comes a new store -- Apple Galleria Dallas --

Does anyone know if the kids indoor playground is back open yet?

Yes. I walk the mall several times a week. It's open and kids are in there playing.

They have everything you need for Korean anything. Love all the options of Korean side dishes you can buy. There are also lots of little restaurants inside it. In the strips there are a few gift shops where you can buy accessories, kpop stuff like CDs and posters, anime stuff, beauty stuff. They also have a Missha store for Missha kbeauty items. Overall lots of good shops to visit, we would recommend it.

I was stunned and in love since I first discovered this plaza, a few years ago - and honestly it's one of the most amazing plazas anywhere in the country. It reminds me of Dun Huang in Houston and it's just so busy from one end to the other. So much traffic, nowhere near enough parking spots, and what seems like about a hundred different popular ethnic businesses of the East Asian variety. Absolutely amazing Plaza with so many things in it that I can't even get started. And there are lots of different sections to it. Explore it and you will be in Paradise. Easily the best Plaza in Carrollton and arguably the best in DFW. Some of the Boba highlights are the Sharetea here, which is great - get Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea, and Whole Lemon Black Tea. Give Cocohodo a try, which has really great Custard Fish (not actual fish). The Walnut pastries are overrated. Sweet Lab is great, and has puffle egg waffles too. The BF Bakery inside 99 Ranch has great Egg Custard Tarts too. For food, Dumpling inside H-Mart has the best Dumplings I've ever had, anywhere, or thereabouts.
