The Luau at Grandscape was disappointing. They started out with dancers in cellophane skirts and coconut bras who were very entertaining. After the 1st round of dancing, they had their first hula lesson. Yes, hard to believe that they had 2 hula lessons. After the lesson, the dancers took a 30 minute break while the band serenaded us. Unfortunately, the band quickly ran out of Island songs. There were 3 guys playing. The singer played the ukulele but the bass player and drummer only played sometimes. Lots of people went home during the serenade. Hawaiian Bros had the only food booth (there were supposed to be lots of others). The line wasn't too long, maybe 30 people, but it did not move. No idea why, since their grinds were pre-made and just needed to be scooped into really small bowls. We've eaten at their restaurants so we knew they usually serve bigger helpings. Tahiti style dancing was much better. Their costumes looked authentic. Yes, we've been to many luaus. We reached the time for lively drumbeating but they spent too much time giving their drum "backstories" and a long "drum solo" without dancers. Finally, there was more dancing from Tahiti that was very good. The dancers knew their moves. We left when the 2nd break for the dancers started and the band serenaded us again. This was supposed to last 30 minutes and then we would get to see the dance with the LED lighted poi balls. This is one of the very few times we've left a show early at Grandscape. read more

Lots of fun places.... But the parking is hard and signage is terrible. We went once and parked underground near the Thirsty Lion. Tried following signs to meet friends at the putting place, but all the signs had us walking in circles. Second visit, parked the deck behind Scheels. . We were going to Cosm. Instead of signs pointing us to the easiest walk, signs routed all the was around the complex's other building. This more than doubled my walk as a disabled person. No signage for restrooms. Not enough handicap parking. You take your life in your hands trying to cross streets,, as few people pay attention to cross walks. read more

Who does not like Grandscape? Atmosphere/Ambiance - 5/5 -The place is HUGE with so many businesses. The area has every type of cuisine that you can think of. I am so glad it is close by. Staff - 5/5 - Every place we go to, everyone is friendly and helpful. Even the officers that patrol the area are nice and courteous. Food/Drink - I will have to switch it up as this is more of an area versus a single restaurant. So if you have never been to this area, you are missing out. They have the following: - Andretti's Racing (think of Dave n Buster's with Go Carts) - Indoor Golf (Puttery) and Outdoor Golf (Popstroke). Fun fact, but popstroke has a hidden playground for kids in the back. - Turf area for kids to play and mini concerts. - Scheels - Ferris Wheel - Underground area with a speakeasy type bar. I visited several businesses to see which I was coming back to see. There was a lot to see and do. The crowd of people was very diverse. The environment was family oriented, date night and group meetup, basically, everyone is welcome. I recommend this place. This Place is not a good place to live if you are wanting great HOA in terms of parking and loud music. It is almost impossible to contact the HOA and they do absolutely nothing to improve neighborhood. Also if you are considering moving your property value will decrease not increase. And last but not least once you purchase there is absolutely ZERO communication from management and worst problem is LOUD MUSIC and absolutely no one uses their garages. read more

Great place to walk around with the family, especially if you have young kids and/or pets. There's a large grassy area in the back where people were throwing around a football or picnicking with their family. Then you end the end with dinner at one of their many restaurants. Lots of things to do here and really neat design. Sadly, most places are closed on a Monday. The place was practically dead and all we really got to do was see a few places, but mostly just walk around. I was really looking forward to the ferris wheel, but it isn't operational on Mondays. Even the fountain in the middle of the place wasn't working. It was pretty depressing. This place is most happening place in the area! We stopped by sunday evening for walk through restaurant area and to spend time in the kids play area. Little did we know there was some event and location was packed. Took us a while to find parking spot. Interesting big shopping and entertainment complex between Dallas and Oklahoma. It is a mashup of Mall of America and Irvine Center with a little Dubai sprinkled on top. Lots of indoor activity places (cricket, race cars, etc.) to combat the oppressive heat and chilly prairie winds. I think it's a great idea to have some sort of destination amidst all the new housing developments being built. Definitely a people watching opportunity l; Scheels is a great store. read more

We went here to see the Jurassic World exhibition (which was great) and really enjoyed ourselves. The exhibition was very well done and the dinosaurs (especially the T-Rex) were very realistic. The little one loved it and said afterward that we saw the dinosaurs that did not die long ago. It was cute. As others have noted, it's a whole shopping community with stores, numerous restaurants, and a movie theater. Parking is plentiful and free. It's a bit of a drive for us just to go shopping or to eat, but we plan to return when they have a new exhibit read more

The Colony/Grandscape area is a vastly growing part of DFW, and it is one that I've been meaning to explore for quite some time now. I finally had the chance to go and enjoy some music on the lawn! Apparently they do events out here on certain evenings. My friend found out about this one from a social media post. They had a 90s night along with a silent disco which was super cool! The Colony wine bar/patio was also open and they had a little concession stand area. I felt like I was at the state fair and it got me excited for that this fall. The ferris wheel is also pretty awesome and looks lovely at night! Lots to do in the area, ample free parking in the garage and you could really make a day (or night) of it out here. We visited in the morning before 11:00am. Most of the places weren't open. This was on a Saturday no less so seems odd that places don't open yet. It was super hot too so we could only park ourselves inside the Andretti game venue and waste our money there. The Ferris wheel had an extremely small booth that nobody can notice unless you're looking for it and go close. It seems that area is constantly under construction too. The Ferris wheel ride is nice and the fact that it's air conditioned inside the gondola is definitely a plus. But anyway besides the fact that the view is quite underwhelming, we enjoyed the ride. Went at least 7-8 revolutions. I expected just 4-5 and I'm not sure why I expected that. I had thought I read that somewhere upon entry. And yeah, had to park quite far cause most of the spots were reserved for valet. There's really no reason to do valet here short of a money grab. We're Texans, everyone drives and can park cars. In the main square, it almost feels like they wasted a lot of space for no good reason. There's some structures that looks like just a waste of space where more benches or even greenery would've been more efficient. read more

My family played a few virtual games and then went to the indoor arcade and game room. Parking garage is free and a little confusing to figure out where to park. Lots of nice shops, 26 restaurants, and green space allow for concerts and entertainment. Anchor stores seem to be Scheels Sports and Nebraska Furniture Mart. New construction is still going on. Look for Parry's Pizza, Davio's, Windmills, and a large Ferris wheel to ride. The unique Truck Yard restaurant is nearby. This shopping area is grand, and on this Saturday the area was packed. Fortunately, there are huge free parking lots. Sidewalks and a tunnel allow bicycles and walkers/joggers to be safe. Lots of walking here. Restrooms are near the green space. read more

Been coming to the grandscape for a few years. It's always been a fun experience and a great time. Tonight was a bit of an issue: with my kids, wife and friends here from Australia - we waited at the crosswalk near PF Change to head towards the parking lot. One of the crossing traffic security guys (white and blonde or lighter hair) was waving cars through - but proceeded to yell and lose it on a car that he was not happy with their speed through the intersection. It was not only uncalled for, but highly unprofessional and even scared our kids and guests. To get that large and on that big of a power trip is uncalled for and there was no reason for it. We all were happy to wait our turn and he needed zero show of aggression. Security guys I am sure get little respect at times, but that was not close to appropriate from this guard. The car was not in anyways at fault and even if he was, deserved zero of the treatment this "officer" exhibited. read more

Nice selection of activities and eateries. However, I was greatly disappointed that a lot of the businesses near the back didn't have paved entryways. It's like they just stopped paving the rest of the area, unless you were going to the outdoor putting area. I went after it had rained and didn't like the idea of getting my shoes that dirty.
