The service level at this store has gone from bad to worse. For the second time in a row, I purchased flavored waters and had one explode all over our computer. The fact that the checkers seem to feel the need to flip the bottles as they are ringing them up does not help. I called to speak to a supervisor and the clerk, Nancy, hung up on me. When I called back she argued that she was speaking to me. Apparently either I don't know the difference between a human and a dial tone, or she goes into modes where she sounds just like a dial tone. I guess you get what you pay for... crappy salaries get crappy employees. This store was nice when it opened, but the competent staff people have been replaced by by staff like Nancy and the lady in the garden department that likes to flip carbonated drinks around. The store is disgustingly dirty to boot. Joseph B. says to drive to Tracy and he is absolutely right. If you need WalMart, it is worth the drive and a far more enjoyable experience than both the Livermore and Pleasanton stores. I came to the auto service department after work to get my oil changed expecting to pay the usual $65-$80 I normally get charged for synthetic oil other places and to have a long wait. Little did I know I only paid $47 and only had to wait 30 minutes! Not to mention the service was SO GREAT. They vacuumed my car, cleaned my windshield and the employees were incredibly nice. Totally changed how I feel about Walmart! I'll be back for tires and my next oil change for SURE. read more

I ordered a video game on Walmart.com to pickup at the Livermore Walmart store. I was supposed to pick up the item on Nov 30 and I did not get the chance to pick up the item so it should have been returned and refunded back to me. I check two weeks later and there's no refund. I contact Walmart and they tell me to wait another week since apparently it takes more than 2 weeks. 3 weeks later and I still don't have a refund and they tell me they escalated the issue to the Livermore store for the manager to review why the refund did not occur. A week later, I still don't have my fund. It's been 4 weeks now and I don't have my money. If I didn't even check my credit card account, they would have kept my money but now it is being disputed with my credit card company. Walmart is a JOKE!!! Buy somewhere else!! read more

Love the walmart, have for many moons. This walmart has the BEST greeter ever Jesse!! He is ALWays so friendly and has a smile on his face. Walmart has great prices on everything from formula to skin care to yeast to baking bred. LOVE the walmart. This one is usually clean except during holiday time and parking is usually good too. This walmart has a oil/ tire center, a subway, and optomitrist. The casheirs are all too friendly to me and the boys. I came to purchase a made in the USA flag for myself and couldn't seem to find anywhere in the store. This is close to 9-11-11. So walking around and the walmart folks are busy yapping and complaining about personal issues on the floor. I don't interrupt because she looks like a crack head. Finally found the flags at the rear of the stationary aisle. I'm scratching my head since this is the tenth anniversary of 9-11-2011. I get home and call the store to complain of my shopping experience. I talk to Ed (store Manager) of both of my issues with his store. He told me I will have the flags moved. Okay, good. Also, he will talk to Walmart staff to keep personal issues in the breakroom. Good. Getting points Ed, and I believe you. Well on 9-10-2011 went to get household items and I'm paying at the auto area and over those walkies a customer is looking for flags. Guess what Ed let me down. HE NEVER MOVED THEM. Very Unpatriotic. I have always really liked this store. But in recent months, due to the homeless encampment on the other side of the parking lot, I don't feel safe there at times. There are drugged out people in the parking lot, and sometimes laying down in the aisles in the store. Which is probably why the bathroom is horrible. I'll be shopping at Target from now on, until they figure out that situation. read more

I dropped off my vehicle for an oil change at this walmart. When I picked it up, there was a huge dent in my vehicle. The walmart somehow does not want to take responsibility !!!! They are wiggling out saying some other customer made the dent. My vehicle was under the care of walmart technicians for an oil change, and it was their negligence that had caused it. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR VEHICLE. I used to go to this walmart at least 2 times a week. Now I have decided never to go there. they have caused me $5000 for no fault of mine !!!! read more

I called a couple places over the phone to get a quote on an oil change. At Wal-Mart, an oil change with my own oil and filter was quoted over the phone to be about $25 using the basic tech service. When I came to pick up my car the employee Dawn said the charge was for $34 for a synthetic oil change. I asked why wasn't I being charged for the quoted price and eventually she grabbed her supervisor. It turns out the supervisor (I didn't get her name) was the one who quoted the price earlier and she said that because my car required synthetic oil, the more expensive price for a synthetic oil change was used, and I was credited for my material from that price. There is no difference in labor between using traditional oil vs full synthetic and seeing how I provided my own materials, I should be charged for labor only. so I explained that, and reminded her of her earlier quote and how it was a mistake on her part. I also told her I would have gotten a better deal at a non-Walmart location and I came here based on her quote. She told me there was nothing she could do and told me to call the 1-800 number and to take it up with corporate. Before I left I checked the oil level on my car and noticed that they had spilled a fair amount of oil on my engine cover and instead of cleaning it up properly, smeared the oil over most of the cover, leaving oil residue everywhere. Inside the car on the passenger seat was an oil soaked rag which I assume was what was used to "clean" their mess. The finishing touch was a reminder label applied onto the corner of my window shield in a obviously lazy manner. There is obviously a lack of pride and accountability at this Wal-Mart location from their techs and even the management. I am going to keep a close eye on my car for the next couple of weeks in case theres anything else I didn't notice. I would give 0 stars if I could, and will not be coming back for anything. First off I must say that this is the cleanest Walmart I have ever been too and I have had my fair share of them!! I travel from Pleasanton to go the Livermore store for all my shopping and especially my oil change/tires services, THIS ONE beats them all for so many reasons. I just came in this last Saturday to get my tires rotated and an oil change. The service manager there named Joel helped me he was very knowledgeable and professional when helping me and other customers. I dislike Walmart with a passion, and this location reassures the way I feel every time I drop in for something I couldn't find at Target. My last experience here was around the Christmas time. I was shopping for mini stockings to decorate and fill with candy, and thought i would be able to find them here since no one else carried them. The associate that I asked to direct me to the correct aisle simply pointed in one direction (no specific aisle, just a direction) and said just walk that way. Now if you've ever been to a Walmart, they're HUGE! I passed every aisle in "that direction" and did not see anything that even related to what I was looking for. This Walmart is a JOKE!!!! The CSM's (managers) do NOT know their own Coupon or Store Price Match Policies which happen to be posted at each register! They WILL NOT follow their own TV ad's of no questions asked! They will argue with you and make you out to be the bad guy in front of people. This store will not be getting business from us again. And we did call their corporate offices and complained. They told us we were right, but then said they would only send a priority ticket to the store manager notifying them of the corporate policies as to coupons and price matching, but refused to call the store and correct the manager's wrong doing while we were waiting there. I love Wal-Mart and it's my first choice when I want to buy clothes, shoes, groceries, etc...however, this particular Wal-Mart sucks beyond what I can even come up with words!!! I have shopped here MANY times and when I have bought items that were in boxes, the items 9 times out of 10 were broken! I can't count on my fingers how many times I have bought something from this store and it happened to be an item on the shelf that was returned by another customer...DAMAGED!!! I tried to give this store the benefit of the doubt, but they really suck! I started going to the Tracy Wal-Mart, and believe you me, it's worth the time and gas money! If you want quality...and you want to save money...go to the Tracy Wal-Mart! Also to add, the management at Wal-Mart are very abusive to their employees. I have gotten my oil changed in my car and my tires changed at the oil and tire center at the Livermore Walmart and have always had a great experience. Anytime I am in need of help with my car, they have always had someone eager to help me out and I've never had a problem. This prices are always reasonable as well. read more

I love Livermore for being a clean town overall. I expect the chain stores in Livermore to be better than those in like San Leandro and Hayward. My daughter and I went to check out through the nursery area. There were 3 people in line with large amounts in their baskets and only 1 checker. That wasn't the main problem. They had this older, heavy set dark haired scary looking grouchy woman (An employee) walking around like a zombie, giving nasty stares and not doing anything while the poor checker worked her ass off. Not good customer service, and not a morale booster for the employees working hard for a living either. Just another Walmart like everywhere else, nothing special. read more

In a lot of my reviews I find myself saying this: you get what you pay for. With Walmart, this is definitely true. Low prices are helpful for those of us on tight budgets, but don't be looking for anything special. I'll try to keep this review especially focused on this store and not on the Walmart brand itself. I have frequented this store since it was built, being a lifelong Livermore resident, probably been inside hundreds of times, so I should have a pretty good understanding of how it goes. This location is best accessed from the freeway by the N. Livermore exit - from inside town it can be reached from both the east or west ends of Las Positas. There is ample parking in the private lot, but beware the crazy drivers who don't seem to follow common courtesy and the pedestrians who apparently can't see or hear vehicles coming their way. There is an entrance at the garden center, along the western front of the building, but beware that sometimes those parking lot rows are dead-ended to store surplus inventory. There is also a bus stop along the eastern side of the building. Upon approaching the main entry there is nearly always some form of beggaring underway, sometimes at the entrance and assuredly ALWAYS at the exit - they'll leave you alone for the most part. The interior has been recently renovated but to look you couldn't tell. It's still the same hospital white tiling and lighting with the blue accents everywhere. The product layout constantly changes, especially the middle section with the clothes. Lately I've noticed smack dab in the middle of women's clothing they will place whatever seasonal items they think will catch the eye. Kind of annoying but search diligently and you will be able to find whatever you were looking for! Fitting rooms are currently located exactly in the middle of the store, but this changes a lot. This Walmart has recently began carrying more and more food items. Pricewise, it isn't always the cheapest option in town. As a matter of fact I have found that buying in bulk in other stores is more affordable... too bad, because Walmart used to be known for having the lowest prices around AND the low prices are one of the main reasons I still frequent the place! The staff is, well, Walmart staff. Some have worked there for a very long time, others are new faces. Most seem bored and unhelpful. Sorry guys, that's just how you all come across! I guess if I worked there I might get that way too. Perks: -This Walmart has the immediate photo prints and can read your photos off any means you could imagine... one of the only photo places in town that can read flash drives that I'm aware of. -There is a new health clinic located in the front of the store, a partnership with Valley Care Hospital. They will take walk-in patients and take cash payment. This is a great service for those of us who are strapped for finances and can't afford insurance. -Subway located inside: if you're hungry, it's a nicer choice then the McDonalds that used to be there. Cons: -Garden section is lacking and a lot of the plants seem dead. -Subway located inside: it smells up the entire store of onions and meat.. also they charge 49 cents for a refill! (who does that?) MAJOR CON: My AT&T cell phone will not work once I set foot in the building. I don't know if it's just a dead zone for AT&T or if Walmart is blocking, but I don't even get calls or reception, let alone Internet. Very frustrating since I like to call and text people while shopping so I can share my finds with them.. read more

They are remodeling the store and I refuse to shop here anymore. It is crazy and hectic whenever I go. I'd much rather spend a little more money and go to target down the street. The store itself is fine, however their automotive department is HORRIBLE. I just took my Rav4 in for an oil change and the next day started smelling fumes through my air vents. I took it to the Toyota dealer a few days later to find that Walmart had not replaced the oil cap (it was laying upside down on top of the reservoir) and oil was everywhere! I had to pay over $300 to have it cleaned and fixed! Of course, Walmart is going to pay for it but the damage could have been so much worse if I hadn't noticed it. Never going there again. read more

Their customer service is trash and they are unhelpful. I called to ask about if they had a space heater in stock that I saw online. They didn't have it which I totally understand. But when I tried to get help with finding another heater in the same price range, they lady over the phone made it seem like it was too much of a hassle. She said "well I have to let you go now. if you see another heater online you can call us back and we'll check". After being on hold forever I wasn't helped at all. I understand the heater are in the back of the store, but it's not a super center and it's your job to do so. Usually this store is great but today is not one of those times. read more

Just received the worst customer serviré ever at my Livermore store. Cashier did not know what he was doing. Had me run my debit card through 3 times after he told me that his register was timed-out and Then frozen. To add more time and insult to injury he asked me " Do you have money in that account"!!! I was so embarrassed and pissed off. What right does this Walmart cashier have to judge and embarrass me.Teach your employees Better Walmart. Im taking my shopping and anyone elses away. Compared to most Wal-Marts in the bay area, this one is not half bad. The floors are generally free of bodily fluids and the staff puts forth a reasonable amount of effort. I prefer this over all the Wal-Marts in the south bay or peninsula, for sure. They keep up on their stock better than other locations and their grocery prices are much lower than Safeway-type stores. All around, worth trudging through the masses to save a buck if your budget's tight. read more

The parking lot here seems dark and sketchy, maybe it's because of all the trees (blocking the light from the street lamps) or maybe it's all the huge RV's parked in the lot. Yeah, Sam Walton says it's okay to park your RV at any Walmart but it makes it look like a trailer park or RV show. This WM is much older than the Pleasanton one, and it looks like it. It's a little more cluttered, a little less as neat. Same old stuff here as in P-town, except the pet section here carries stuff for horses and other farm animals (Purina Goat Chow?). And because of that, I'll come and check you out. My latest visit was on a Sunday. Big mistake. The entire city of Livermore seemed to be visiting the store today. But I knew what I wanted and I went in, grabbed it, and headed out. In and out in under 10 minutes. Pretty impressive for a Sunday afternoon. Oh WalMart. Started my experience today at the customer service desk, a guy named DEX helped me....he was rude and doesn't enjoy his job! As I ventured from there to the electronics dept at least that gentleman was helpful and friendly... But good Luck if DEX ever assists you. He needs a lesson in customer service. I stopped by here last night and went to the express check-out lanes, both lights were on. The first register had a customer with about thirty items on the counter. So I went to the one in front of it. No clerk was there but the light was on, so I thought someone would see me and come ring me up. I had passed a clerk across the aisle stocking (who looked right at me) and I thought she'd be over to help me. After unloading my eight items no clerk came, so I put the items back in the cart and got behind the customer in the wrong lane. I then loaded my items on the counter behind the person with thirty items. After doing so, the woman who saw me earlier at her register walked up and said she could help me over here. I said no, my items are on the belt I can wait, I don't want to go back over where I just came from . Five of the items were gallon bottle of water. After I said no, she started reaching for my items to move them for me. I was very upset, I said No I am fine waiting here. I then walked out. I can buy water from ANY store. Why is a register light on with no clerk available at that station? I don't except a store to be fully stocked at 10:30pm at night, but I do except express lanes to be just that. Worst service or lack there of. I won't be going back. Me leaving was the nicest way I could have handled that situation. read more

Today I visited the store to pick up a new TV for my sister for her birthday. A unique situation occurred with the TV I was looking for and the associate was unable to help me with. This review is for CYNTHIA in the vision center. Ive been there twice so far for contact lenses and she by far has given me the best customer service ever in a walmart. She is always happy to help and has a 10 foot attitude.
