Suboptimal to be honest. One of the worst Ross' I've been to. The security was friendly and made sure to greet me when I entered. However the floors were barren. There was barely any merchandise in the store. I picked through what I could only to feel a sharp pain in my foot. One of the security tags had been left in the aisle needle side up and had pierced through my shoe and into my arch. Great. I left security know, and he just said sorry. Yeah. No. Not going to cut it. I had to request assistance elsewhere, which meant waiting in check out line until I got to the front to then ask for someone to unlock a bathroom for me and give me a band aid for my bleeding foot. I do appreciate they were able to do that. But overall not a great experience. read more

Wow! This is the most organize, and cleanest Ross I have gone to. I had no issue looking for the things I needed. Well stock of good items not just some random things like other stores. Items weren't on top of each other. You can well see items. I also found a North Face jacket such a good price. They have good selection of hats for man. Great prices on sandals and shoes. This Ross is next to Target and Big Lots - all overlap as competitors in one place or another. I could see how this place has the most customers hooked though with their "we get new stuff every day" spiel. My aunt is a Ross junkie. I think its her favorite pass time. Things are reasonably priced so I guess you could have worse habits like drugs or alcohol. She goes in and buys all this stuff but after my uncle saw what she paid for it all he couldn't even get angry. I'm more about style than trends and Ross is all about trends - so that is why I rate it at 4 stars. Trends come and go but style is forever. Think a classic Mercedes versus a flashy new Hyundai with lines that will look ridiculous within a few years. Ross Dress For Less is one those retailers that is a hit and miss. It's a store chain that caters more to women's fashion and small household goods. Most Ross stores that I have visited have a smaller section for men's shoe and apparel. So know once my wife says lets go to Ross, it all about patience on my behalf. Once in a while I'll find something for myself. This location seems to be always neat, well merchandised and organized! And you have to understand that Ross, as do most retailers do...they cater to the surrounding demographics! The Dublin location by far has some of the most upscale products stocked. i guess that why it is probably my favorite Ross location. When you walk inside, they have an enormous amount of clothes; all at very affordable price. Most of which UNDER $20. Whenever I need new clothes for work or a new sundress for a date, I always go to Ross because their selection will never disappoint; they have a vast selection of sizes and types that you are almost guaranteed to find what you are looking for. Especially since everything is neatly labeled and easy to find. The staff is friendly and helpful and always seems genuine when I converse with them while they ring up my items, or if I have a question on the whereabouts of a particular item. One day while in Ross, I hear my friends voice come out of no where and say, "How did I know I would find you here?" Yep. I'm there quite a bit. They have great stuff. I love finding cheap treasures and they have the best selection all the time. Except for maybe shoes. I can never find shoes lately. Maybe I am just too picky. The staff is great. The store is clean. I needed some summer dresses. Nice large selections with good bang for the buck. Store is kinda clean and bright . Not too crowded. My two complaints are: One: dressing room attendant, Very Rude. You have to put the clothes on the hanger. Mind you I do that already, but, the tone and her demeanor. I almost asked, What happens if I don't? Two: What happened to the womens shoe selection. I use to love Ross, but now it seems the only thing I buy here are the occasional shower curtain and I can purchase that anywhere. I an so disappointed every time I shop here. Tonight was no different. We arrived at the store about 7:30 pm and managed to find a few items to try on. Too bad the fitting room was closed on a Saturday night (6/18/16) with a store full of customers. There was a line for the 2 temporary fitting stalls. Horrible customer service to waste perfectly good fitting rooms that were just recently renovated and force customers to wait to use temporary fitting stalls.. Similar things to the TJ Maxx next door, but much better selection. I saw the cutest shoes here, and they were very reasonably priced. Their home stuff is adorable! I think TJ Maxx caters to older women with teen girls, whereas Ross is more geared towards young, single, college-age women. It's more consistently trendy. (I don't know why stores seem to think that older women have to dress in tacky clothes -- please stop providing hideous animal print and Lycra; it is a temptation forty-year-olds everywhere seem unable to resist.) Their bags are pretty expensive, but they seem to have sales pretty regularly. I'm definitely coming back here for furnishings when I get my new apartment. read more

This Ross is pretty cool, but what made it really cool was the lady that helped me. Her name was Karly and she was a really cool cat. I'd go as far to say "Associate of the month" type of cool. I've always loved this store. I got my money saving genes from my mom, so I have memories of coming here when we first moved to California when I was eight. The clothes in this Ross are really hit or miss. Some of them are really ghetto, like hood style. Since satin hoodies that only cover half my torso are not my style, I usually browse an entire rack and only find a few things suitable for me. The dressing room is another draw back. I think they find the person in the worst mood on staff that day and say, "you're on dressing room". All in all, Ross is cool though. I come here for more than clothes. The dressing rooms are never open when I visit the store. Instead of allowing customers to try on clothes in their spacious well lit fitting rooms, they show you to these unlit boxes at the front of the store that you can barely turn around in, much less see yourself in the mirror. It's absurd, demeaning and counterproductive. Whereas I used to shop there frequently and buy the majority of my clothes there, I refuse to buy clothes there now. They need to figure out a better system of loss prevention for their store, because customers like myself, who want to be treated with respect and dignity will simply go two doors down to T.J. Maxx to do their shopping. Oh and by the way... T.J. Maxx doesn't padlock their shoes together to make it impossible to try them on like Ross does. I visited this location yesterday looking to buy an outfit for an event I was attending; not expecting to leave with a frown of disappointment. I walked into the store with a smile and left feeling angry from the level of service I received. One of the workers by the name of Tiffany displayed some of the worst work ethic, I have ever encountered in the Livermore area. She was ruined and apologetic about her action even while her store manager was present. She took it a step further and turned her back to the customers she was serving and talked about me while rolling her eyes. I left in disbelief of how could someone hire a person who does not have any regards for the customer feelings. I purchased my items which totaled roughly 50 something with the intent of never returning again. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. I went in the store with my sister-in-law to shop for dress shirts. We were greeted at the door as soon as we walked in and we went straight to shopping, as we were happily going to check out an elderly woman came in with an oxygen tank attached to her and placed in a target shopping cart. Our cashier "Associate number: 807682" told an employee to not let her come in with that shopping cart. I'm not sure what the employee responded back but our cashier started to raise her voice telling the employee and the customer "tell her she can't bring that cart in here!" "You can't bring that cart in here!" " You can't bring that cart in here!" " You shop here all the time?!" "Someone give her a cart, don't let her bring that cart in here!" The elderly lady responded "ok well can someone help me?! I have an oxygen tank!" An employee that was standing next to her the whole time started to finally give her a cart after i walked over to give the lady a ross shopping cart. I transferred her bag to the next cart and the employee that was standing their tells me to stop. Very rude. I love your prices and your store but regardless of who the customer is everyone deserves respect. Needless to say this ruined my shopping experience. Went here two days ago and wow it's totally different. The men's section has 25% of it is used to have. Barely any shoes or shirts. Men's section has gotten so small and they only have a little option. They used to have a ton of tanks and boxers but now just 2 brands and few of each size. Really disappointed. I find myself in here at least once a week. This is by far the cleanest Ross with the friendliest employees I have ever been to. It is always well stocked, I almost never leave here without buying something. This is my go to place for clothing for my family, accessories, housewares, everything! Great prices and never crowded! I like that ALL of the clothing has security tags and a visible security person present at the front door, I think this is what keeps the riff raff out and keeps this place an enjoyable store to shop in! :) read more

Ok I was very hesitant to go in here. They don't have a good selection on clothing but when it comes to home good they do! I recently moved in with my boyfriend and wanted to pick up a few item like towels, organizers and towels. Ross had everything i needed in the styles and colors I like for less that half the price it would have been in the department store. I was really impressed with the selection and the savings. I would still never buy clothing here but I did find a new place for the home. Granted they don't offer everything but I would suggest dropping by to see if you can check anything off you list. In a shopping complex, so there's lots of parking with shade trees. Good sized store, relatively neat. We found a matching set of Samsonite luggage here, good deal for the new spinner type.
