This place is getting 3 stars because of the manager dustin. Otherwise it would be one star. Car broke down and was towed to this parking lot. There are thieves in this neighborhood so be careful leaving a window cracked or door unlocked. Dustin was helpful and provided me with some numbers to contact a local mechanic. It being sunday everything was closed. I had to return to socal the next day for work and when i called to check on the car the asst manager - some foriegn dude.. and a lady were very rude over the phone when i asked if they could see if the car was still there or if i could get a number to a towing company that tows from there. This Wal-Mart is slightly ran down though less so now that it has been remodeled. Still better than the rest. I come here specifically to buy those items that are more eslsewhere such as meds, makeup, things like that. As far as their brand, equate? I prefer Target's store brand when it comes to that stuff. Come home at 11:30pm to find a leak due to this beautiful storm. Completely caught off guard and somewhat unprepared. Mind you no large contractor style businesses are open and I need to buy a mop, bucket, and some blackjack/caulking substance. Immediately race over to Walmart. At this point it is 11:55pm and they are nearly closed. Instead of turning me away, a very sweet customer service rep named Linda ushers me to the right aisle, advises me on the correct products, and wishes me best of luck. All in all, I ended up finishing well past their closing time but that did not stop anyone from giving me their complete time. I ordered a bike through their online, pick up in store. Terrible experience. First when I called to pick up the order, it took three tries. They transfered me to electronics before they got me to the right department. When I asked about my order they told me it got refunded. I told her I never got a confirmation email, after checking my junk mail and everything. I even had gone on my walmart account but when I tried to check that particular purchase, the site would say, please wait a moment and try again, there are problems with your request. Well, she went and asked her manager and I heard him said in a voice, people said that all the time in an annoyed tone. I got mad and hung up the phone. i got a flat tire and was towed Livermore Walmart. My cell phone was dead and i left it in the car next to my banana. When I got back in car there was no cell only a banana. When I spoke with the manager they looked around and ACTED like they cared she said she would call me later after looking at the cameras in the store. When they didn't call i called back she said "o... i can't help you, you need to call the police" This "manager" lied to me to get me to leave the store. I just got my oil changed the other day. The guy who wrote me up's name was Brian and I was also assisted in selecting the correct oil for my truck by a guy named Chao. These guys then changed my oil, oil filter, checked all my lights, wiper blades, cleaned the wind shield, properly inflated my tires, and even vacuumed my ridiculously dirty floor to clean! These two individuals were fantastic! I will be back to Walmart and specifically this T.L.E. just because of them and only they are doing my oil change because they do a fantastic job and go above and beyond. Do not buy electronics at this store, especially a television. I purchased a big expensive tv and it didn't even last me two years. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty, so I thought. Extended warranty company did replace the tv however they gave me a refurbished tv and again did not last me two years. Don't care about time&money of customers. Yesterday, Sunday evening, July 14th, 2013 in Livermore Walmart I have experienced what I never experience in my 18 years of in USA. They ask me to come back for a return even they were open till 10 i guess but still so when store don't have an item it does make sense they would say in two or more days item will be available please come again but for return asking that and what if 15 days (for computers & camcorders) or 90 day will be passed by tomorrow? I was there to return a Camera this Sunday evening. On return desk blond lady was nice willing to help me with return but saying with apologetic tone since camera is exclusive we need some one to come and see this from Photo department. Now a sokha sara (slim like a blind man's white stick)white guy came I thought looking at him may be he is that some one however; they said no one is available in photo department today is Sunday and photos are closed from 7PM now 8:15. I was late to attend after party I was going to Dublin my friend's home in a new area which is not in my gps system I asked blond customer service representative if no one is here do I need to come tomorrow? She said no no they will send some one. but that guy came again saying we are sorry but no one is in photo department and this camera is very expensive we can not return like this. you have to come again tomorrow morning they will be here at 9. Now In Milpitas from 20 years I am returning different stuff, i know for laptops they ask some one from tech department if no one is available the person on desk will see what's inside never ever they asked me to to go back and come again next day for return. I am 100% sure if there would be a white guy or girl or I would be wearing western dress he not gonna say that. Livermore Walmart smells racist. I know most people probably don't look on Yelp before they go to Walmart. but if you happen to please take your time and go to the Tracy Walmart instead of this one! They have the worst service that I have ever experienced from any grocery store. the prices are more than expensive than everyone else in the area. I only come here if I'm desperately in need of something and I think that it's going to be the only place that has it. if I'm able to go to Target that's going to be my choice every time. Do not expect to buy anything on walmart.com and be able to return here. I spent close to an hour trying to return several items that I had bought on walmart.com The items all had tags on them and I had the full receipt. They still couldn't figure out how to return anything and held up the line for a full half an hour while they called others in the store and finally the manager. Then they told me to just come back in three hours when someone would be there that would know how to return dot.com orders. Felt sorry for the lady working there - just really bad training to put people in the return dept that cannot return. How difficult can it be? I go to Kohls, Penneys, Macy's and it takes then about 2 minutes to process a return. Can't tell if it is the people working there - or the systems - ut definitely the management is an issue. They don't even apologize for the inconvenience and act as though they are doing you a favor. I am going to promise myself never to order on walmart.com again - too painful! read more

I always have a terrible experience here. The customer service is horrible. Last time I needed to find out if they had water shoes in my size so after not being able to find anyone in the shoe department to help I walked over to the front to customer service to be told that she couldn't do anything to look it up. She pointed me to jewelry (could have just called them herself but too lazy to). I then proceeded to jewelry to find that nobody was in sight... (surprise surprise). So i went to electronics where I stood for about 5 minutes while all of the employees ignored me. Finally got someone's attention. She had to call the jewelry employee who finally came over and I was told by her that what she had was out. Thanks. read more

Awful customer service! I took my car in for a $50 oil change and they proceeded to wreck the car to the tune of $8000!! At first, they wouldn't acknowledge culpability, saying they had to "investigate" the incident first. When I mentioned having the local authorities read in on this, they quickly put me in touch with their insurer, CMI inc. What a joke! After much quibbling, they agreed to provide a rental car and cover repair to my vehicle. When I also asked for compensation for time off work, out of pocket expenses and diminished value to my vehicle, they said, no way, and have not returned my calls or responded to my letters. When I explained my experience with their so-called insurer, Walmart management advised their "policy" was to have their insurer deal with the complaint. Talk about a run-around! Obviously no one in Walmart management reads these reviews because I got the "bag lady" again today in the patio/garden check out area....obviously she hasn't had any type of "talking to" because she did it AGAIN! I started unloading all my stuff onto the counter and about midway through loading my stuff up to be rang up, she asked me if I had any bags to which I replied "no". She then asked me if I wanted any and I said "yes". And then she stops what she's doing to laugh and roll her eyes AGAIN and then went on to accost me about how I should have asked for some and how she's not "psychic" and said "I can't give you any bags if you don't ask for them honey" WTF!?!? I was going to ask!!! I was still loading all my things onto the counter!!! Jeez!!! Why do I keep going back!? I have no idea! i had 2 return something,but i had lost the reciept, and i lost my wallet--so i didnt have my I.D. on me.So i went back to my car and brought my passport the walmart manager didnot consider my passport as my I.D so now i go back and bring my citizenship certificate even that they wouldnt except as my I.D How stupid can a store manager and employees be that they donot want to except a U.S passport as an I.D The only purpose of an I.D is to see that i am the person in the picture. I had the best experience at this Walmart! It was on Black Friday, if you can believe that! The assistant manager went out of his way to help me, even though I knew how tire he was. He was positive, helpful, and very kind. A few of the other employees there wished us all happy holidays and smiled and chatted with us when we were in line. I have always had a good experience at this Walmart, but knowing they have the same dedication on Black Friday, just made it that much better! read more

i dont agree with wal-marts practices but i am judging them on the times i've been in their store. I've found some isles thrashed, When i do find a worker they aren't helpful. I went to Walmart in Livermore California today to return some items as well as pick up some items that I had orders online. I first went to the service desk to do my return and there was an employee by the name of Megan complaining about her job that she didn't like that. She was complaining that they were making her work on the 22nd which was her mother's wedding day and she had requested it off. She was talking to another associate that was handling my transaction. She was storming around and throwing a tantrum. I really didn't pay it any mind because she was not the one helping me; yeah it was annoying and extremely unprofessional. So I complete my transaction ago back to the spot in the back of the store to pick up the items I had purchased online. One of the items I had purchased was not what I had expected so I had to return to the service desk to return this item. When I got there Megan was the one at the counter. There was a man that was sort of in line talking on the phone in front of me and I hear Megan state "can I help the next person in line" we made eye contact, but being that there was a man in front of me in the waiting line I wanted to ensure he was not waiting for help. So I asked him. He gesture for me to go ahead and as I started to maneuver to the counter I hear Megan's voice again " I SAID... CAN...I... HELP... YOU.." She was looking straight at me. Really was this lady speaking to me with such disrespect and like I was a 2 year old of which she was so completely irritated with because apparently I was not moving fast enough for her. Excuse me for wanting to make sure I was not cutting in front of anyone in line. I got to the counter and asked this woman why she felt it was okay to speak to someone that way. All of a sudden the once flying off with the tongue lady turned into a cowardly little girl, she stated she really didn't mean it and she apologized. I asked her if Walmart gives training for her to speak to customers in that manner. She stated no. I am so irritated with this place, I have shopped at Walmart stores all over, and never have been treated the way I have been treated at this one particular location. This is the second bad interaction I have had and I have only been to this location a handful of times. Typically if I want to go to Walmart I will go out of my way to another city. I am not expecting to have the red carpet rolled out in front of me as I do when I shop at stores like Nordstoms or Neiman's but I certainly should not have to take this crap from their "customer service" reps. I have been shopping at this walmart for about 5 years and this was the last straw. Like everyone else said in all the other reviews about this store it has gone from "customers are our number one priority" to "There's nothing I can do, its Corporate's fault" quoted Robert the department manager in electronics. I received for my birthday a 50.00 gift certificate for walmart. I was actually excited, until I went in search of some music CD's I wanted. Come on now, does any one there know how to read? It looked like some little bombs had gone off and it is a really small selection. I ask for the manager and Robert comes by and I ask him, "Can you explain to me why this is so dis-organized? He said that a vendor comes by and takes care of it. I asked well, dont your staff recover ever so often this particular section to keep it organized? He said that all he knows is that the vendor is suppose to take care of it. Really!? I said, " What about the hair clips, combs and sticky note pads that are laying around? Who takes care of that? And why is KISS and ZZTOP in the Latin section? Why isn't anything in its proper place?" He said that he was sorry but the Vendor took care of that. Now come on! If I wanted to scrounge around I would go to a garage sale and dig around... I could not find a single artist in its proper section. I wish I could cash in my Gift card and never go back there again. I am done with this Walmart store here in Livermore.....Oh! and Robert, that vendor that "Corporate" contracted to take care of the music section of your department...sucks. And word of warning to people who are considering writing to corporate about any complaints, dont waist your time. I've been going to the Livermore Walmart ever since I moved here 20 years ago and have never been disappointed. I wake up early so am usually at the store by 7 am, opening time. I can always find what I need, the staff all know me and greet me by name, making me feel like part of their family. There is one cashier that I will wait in line for. Elliot makes me feel special, like I'm the only one that matters. The products that I have purchase, including clothing have never disappointed me. The clothing fits and lasts....in addition, if you pay $10 for an item, do you expect it to wear like a $40 item. I don't think so. My advice to those who have complained...if you don't like it, don't buy it...but don't rag on the quality when you are only paying less than $20. I purchased a coat there about 6 years ago and it is still wearing as well as when I first purchased it. To all those whiners...put things in perspective. I will continue to shop at Walmart. The Target down the street is over priced. When I see the exact same item at Target for $10 more, there is something wrong. read more
