Oilstop Drive Thru Oil Change

Oilstop Drive Thru Oil Change

(4 reviews)

I was a long time customer of pit stop, and was surprised when it changed last time I was in…read more It does seem cleaner and I don't have to touch the oil soaked clipboard which is great. The service is good, staff is friendly and seem competent and they are efficient. I had one of the employees come explain something they saw while doing my oil change, and I really liked that they took the time to do that. It does seem a little on the pricier side for synthetic vs pit stop was, but it's convenient and not excessively expensive. They offer a drink while you wait, which is nice too. I don't love the upsells. I'm sure it's part of what they are told to do. But from additives to additional services, they upsell a lot. They also don't hard sell, and if you say no there is no pressure. Overall, I've been happy with the service here and will continue to return for future oil changes,

It looks like I'm the first to review what used to be Pit Stop USA, at 1995 West 11th in Eugene,…read morebut was sold a while back. That is sad. Heres another oil change business with 4 (four) turn-over employees dedicated to my car who pretend they are in some type of pseudo boot camp yelling all sorts of technical stuff to their "Sargent" about my car. My receipt shows I had a Service Coordinator, a Service Writer, the guy who types stuff on a tablet, a Lube Technician, probably the guy in the pit, and a manager...probably the "Sargent." I'm not sure what the Service Coordinator did, but honestly I really don't care. Does this comedy impress customers in 2025? Sure...30 years ago it was a thing, but today? The lowest standard charge for an oil change is 54.99. If you want synthetic it's well over $100. How about that "waste disposal fee" of $4.50 without telling the customer in advance, that the real charge will be $54.99 plus $4.50? Maybe next time they will give me the option of filling the dirty oil in a jar so I can take it home and of course, properly dispose of it right? In my case, I told the person I was quoted 54.99 and nothing was mentioned about any "waste disposal fee." In a heartbeat, the guy removed the charge. See how this business operates? Like bacon bits, butter and sour cream on a potato, up-sell the customer at every opportunity. The only thing missing at Oilstop is a employee tip jar. This one will also up-sell you for additives to the engine. Heres another one I have never heard of. They check the interior car cabin filter. It took several minutes for the guy crawl under the glove box and remove it. Mine was filthy but for $40? Forget it. I'll buy one at an auto parts store for $15, watch Youtube (its easy) and install it myself. I'm not sure why I should have any desire for them to bring me samples of all the car fluids for me to inspect unless they notice something is wrong. I don't even know what colors they should be if everything is good. This maneuver is not impressing me. Surprisingly , they did not check any exterior lights, brake lights, turn signal lights etc. It's ok. I'll have my real mechanic check them next time. A real mechanic. Find one you can trust even for these mundane and routine occasional car checks. Trustworthy mechanics are scarce but still out there. You might have to wait a bit longer, but based on what I experienced today, the wait is justified. The car wash at this location is still broken down, but they give you a card for a free one at Happys. Let me save the managers reply here as I'm sure he is super busy coordinating all those new recruits running around and shouting things about my car. Yes, I realize I can decline all the up-sells you offer. I came for a simple basic oil change and nothing else. Sleaze tactics such as a "waste disposal" fee without a small disclaimer in your rates means I won't come back.

I got my oil changed here today after receiving a coupon in the mail. I was looking for a cheap…read moreplace with good ratings and that coupon showed up at the right time. I called yesterday to see if they take walk-ins - they do but they take longer to complete since they are squeezed in between appointments. I decided to make an appointment for today instead. I dropped my car off at 1pm and Donovan checked it in for me. He was super nice and fast and didn't need much info from me. I told him I had the coupon in my glovebox and he honored the price without needing to take it. Donovan called me around 4pm to tell me my car was ready to go and I went and picked it up immediately. He checked me out and took my payment quickly, allowing me to get home super quickly. My car is driving great and the inspection sheet they put together is thorough and gives me an idea of what else needs to be done soon. The building is easy to find and park in front of. They have a secured fence to protect vehicles overnight. There are a couple of chairs in the lobby for you to sit in if you choose to wait while the work on your car, which I didn't do since it was going to take a couple of hours for my oil change. The prices are very reasonable and Donovan didn't try to upcharge me or push me into getting more work done than I asked for. I paid $50.59 for a full synthetic oil change, significantly less than I've paid for my past oil changes. I will definitely be getting my oil changed here exclusively going forward!

This team is comprised of some seriously fantastic people, and I can't recommend them enough…read more I came in recently for the first time for a 360 diagnosis, which they offer to give you a good idea of the overall condition of a vehicle. They Lyfted me home for free, and I got dropped back off later by my partner to pick up my vehicle. I did not have the correct card with me to make my payment, and had to reach out to my partner to bring my other card from the house. It was already nearly the end of the workday. When I finally got through to her, I had found out she had been in an accident. Upon realizing I was dealing with an emergency situation, Mike offered me my car keys and told to me to come back and pay tomorrow. This kindness, this willingess to take a chance on someone they had no prior relationship with, allowed me to arrive on scene of the accident and be there for my partner during a very difficult time. I was happy to return the next day to shake their hands and thank them, and of course pay them! They then worked hard to help me strategize the best approach to tackling the issues they had uncovered, which ones were most important to prioritize, the costs of each of those solutions, full on top notch customer service and transparency. Mike, Cody, Lindsey, and the rest of the team at Prairie Rd Automotive, thank you all very much for going above and beyond for a first time customer, you have made me a life long customer!
