My car was due for an oil change and I had a coupon for this Valvoline store. There was no wait today and I was able to pull right into one of their bays to have my oil change done. All the service staff were professional and friendly. Since it was my first time at a Valvoline store, they explained step-by-step, everything that they check on your vehicle, which is included in the oil change price Per service people came up with a couple of minor items that needed to be repaired or replaced on my vehicle and informed me what they were and did not pressure me into purchasing extra services. I appreciated that. I will definitely be a return customer the next time I need an oil change. Thank you service staff. read more

Terrible service. They put my air filter in backwards, on a diesel no less! Got the oil changed, drove half mile to work, worked all day, got in my truck to a check engine light and no power. Absolutely unacceptable service to customers. I left work with no power on acceleration, no way to even make it past 40 mph. Their "fix" was just to reset check engine light. No other fix or implication they would warranty anything. Would never recommend to anyone. read more

Had to take Valvoline Instant Oil change to court to get my transmission fixed after they drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil. The manager, Troy, continued to insist that they could just replace my transmission with a used one. The court didn't agree and they paid for the rebuild of my transmission. Don't go here. They don't know how to change oil and it's all they do. Then after they make a mistake, they force you to sue them to get the correct repair done. These guys drained my transmission fluid instead of the oil from my Subaru Forester and double filled my Oil. They said they have video of draining my transmission fluid but are refusing to fix my transmission. I drove my vehicle home and destroyed my transmission, but the manager Said they'd "buy me a used transmission" to replace my perfectly Good transmission that they destroyed. Don't go here. If they make a mistake, they don't make it right. Also, they don't know how to change oil....and they're an oil change place... like really...you've got one job, this is an oil change place that doesn't know how to change oil. My son took his car there and they said they checked his brake fluid, tire pressure and everything else. He calls me and said his brakes fill loose so I checked and his brake fluid was empty never filled so I filled that for him and they never checked the tires cause he had one that was low and Les Schwab filled it for me. They ended up charging him $116.96 for a shitty job. I wouldn't recommend this place at all they are robbing customers of there service so if I was you I'd go somewhere else cause the don't care about there customers read more

I normally don't write reviews, but after today's experience, it only felt right to share. As I arrived, all 3 bays were full, meaning I was next in line for whatever bay opened up, (as they even came to tell me) so I waited patiently for someone to guide me in whatever bay was next. There was some miscommunication, I had one person telling me to go to bay 3 and another telling me to stay in line at bay 2 because they were supposed to be out of there next. Well about 15-20 minutes go by. I'm still waiting. Bay 3 opens up. And a truck that had just pulled up way after me, pulls into bay 3 while I'm still waiting. (That should've been me but they didn't wave me in like they said they would) Another car pulls up in line waiting at bay 1, where the original car in bay 1 was finished and the guy told the car waiting in bay 1 to back up and let me go since I was waiting.. well they should've done that the first time and let me go to bay 3 when it had opened up since I was next in line but they didn't. So at that point I was pretty upset. I had 2 upset babies in the car and was hoping to be done in the time that it normally takes. The 2 cars that came after me were pulled into the bays and were done and out of there before me, when i just came for a simple oil change on my newer car. It shouldn't have taken that long. I felt like there were moments when I had no one around my car just kinda letting me hangout for nothing with my two upset babies in the car. I came in at 1:58pm and left at 2:50 pm. Almost a whole entire hour waiting total. Ridiculous. I normally come here because I usually have the opposite experience but after today's experience I think I'll head somewhere else! read more

Ok so this should be my second review, but i forgot to write an initial review the first time I came here. Visit #1: I drove in from Vegas, and Valvoline was the closest shop. Kristian, William (who is actually Dillan, in Williams uniform :), Jacob and Alex on the bottom. Amazing customer service! I was in a rush, they welcomed me w/ big smiles and promised me a speedy, thorough service. They welcomed me to Eugene and amidst the auto recommendations, also had great recommendations for hikes and local attractions that I actually visited and loved! That experience alone led me to come back for my next oil change 3mos later... Visit #2: This time greeted again by Jacob, Dillan (formerly known as William, but now has his own, snazzy new uniform) Connor and Michael on the bottom. Same 5-star service, and I needed a few more services before a long drive to AZ. Love how these guys are always willing to quote extra services that they foresee you may need, and I didn't feel pressured at all (unlike some places that try to make you feel like you'll crash and die it you don't take their recommendations). In my case, transmission fluid looked like chocolate raspberry sauce, and I knew I needed a flush as well as the oil change. They ran a few more diagnostics and made a couple more suggestions before I jet off to AZ. I'll totally be coming back to do those before I go. This operation reminds me of a well-run, restaurant kitchen crew. If you've ever worked in a kitchen, it can get hectic. But everyone knows their role and amidst the all the activity, to the guest it's a seamless operation that produces amazing, delicious food that keeps you coming back. Great visit over all - I waited in line less than 5 minutes and I was greeted by someone who did my light checks super fast. He was friendly and joked with me while I waited. I was there for an oil change and ended up having my cabin air filter changed as well. Also had a $7 off coupon and overall spent a little over $100 for both, synthetic blend oil for high mileage cars. I worked with both Danny and Michael and they were fantastic, friendly, and fast. I appreciated their interaction, speed, and just general positive attitudes. I was done with everything in just about 10 minutes and got out, which was great because I was running to another appointment and didn't have time to stay a long time. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I paid $34 for a cabin air filter. I didn't know any better, but apparently you can buy these at AutoZone for $16.99. My husband schooled me when I got home, and I feel dupped by AutoZone as a company - that price is outrageous. I went in towards the end of the day for an oil change on my full-size truck. Felt kind of bad going in 30 minutes before closing but I couldn't believe how friendly Michael and the rest of the crew were. Everybody was having a good time and doing a great job taking care of all the customers there. As far as the vehicle maintenance everything was on point that they offered there was no high-pressure sales tactics and everything was done correctly. I've had nothing but good experiences here. At my oil change they told me the skid plate that protects the oil filter and pan was missing. I bought a new skid plate and stopped by and they installed it for me at no cost. Kristian was who I talked to and he was extremely helpful and nice, and so were the rest of the crew. Only giving one star because I can't give zero, or negative stars. I took my car in for an oil change, and when I left, my car started bucking and making all sorts of weird noises, and my check engine light came on. I took it back and they said they'd unplugged my O2 sensor, and that the reading that my car was giving was showing that I had a cylinder misfiring. None of this was happening when I brought it in. I then took it to a shop the next day (this was a Sunday, and the shop I go to was closed). A little over $200 later, they have my car fixed for me, and tell me to take my bill to Valvoline to get reimbursed. I do so today, because it's the first time I've had time to get in, and the exact words said to me, when showing the guy my receipt and saying I want them to reimburse me because this wasn't an issue before bringing it in were, "I don't know what you expect me to do with this." Who says that to someone? Especially someone whose car you people broke. This kid then said he was going to "talk to the manager to see what he could do". Except that he was gone all of a minute before coming back and saying it wasn't their problem. So, now I'm not only out the money for the oil change, which is fine. That's what I was going in for. But I'm also out another $200+ because they won't own their goddamn mistakes. I will never be bringing my car into one of these places again, and I will be actively warning others to do the same so they don't have to go through this. (Also, hearing the workers talking about how they're not actual mechanics, and how they shouldn't say certain things regarding vehicles in front of customers, all while in front of customers, is pretty damn sketchy. This is the only place I take my SUV, I drive all the way from West Eugene to come here due to there service. They are friendly and they let me know what they are doing each step of the way. They also make sure that my car is safe to drive by checking all the fluids, lights and my air filters, including my inside cabin filter (I have severe asthma). Most of the time I am in and out in quickly. However, if they are bussy I have to wait a bit. I don't mind because I know that I will get the best service, just like the people before me, it's all worth the wait. This place is the champion of all oil changes ever!! I was on a road trip with by kids and my oil light went on. It was 6:30pm! I'm on my way to the Bay Area Ca. I checked online for the nearest oil change places and most were closed already. I found this place. As I pulled in I was nervous that we were coming at closing time and they may refuse to change the oil. Did I mention it was a Friday night? I pulled in a very charismatic man helped me bring my car in. He was dancing and smiling. This brought all my stress away. A man named Dom approached my car. I told him about my oil. I also told him the place I went to (Jiffy Lube) put in the wrong filter in my car and to make sure the right one goes in. Dom quickly assured me that he has the same engine and it will be done right. These guys are the most happiest mechanics I've ever seen. Dom has great customer service!! I'm old school and have been in customer service for over 15 years. This guy was born to be around people. I had a great chat as the men working quickly and efficiently changed my oil. I safely got to where I was going and came home safely and I'm so greatful I came in here. I will try a Valvoline in my town because of Dom and the team at this place. Thank you so much! read more

I have used their service twice now. Total wait time to completing on first visit was 45 minutes. I had a promo discount coupon, so figured they were experiencing above normal volume of customers. The second time I went I waited 50 minutes from pulling in line to completion. The rep recommend other services , air filter and so on. I declined the air filter, I had just replaced it 4,000 mile before. I did not think much about it at the time, but the rep struggled to re install the air filter. 5 weeks later my car suddenly lost power when passing on the freeway. My car tripped a check code. I managed to get it a shop, code checked revealed Mass air flow sensor error. I pulled the sensor and it had road debris in it. I pulled the air filter and immediately noticed it was put in backwards. I contacted customer support by E mail , no response. I will never use their services again. Beware read more

When it was Oil Can Henrys it would have been a 4-star rating but I took my new car in for an oil change and noticed some big differences. They did put the soft padding mats on the car libel they usual do and those hose they use put oil in left a bunch of small scratches in the cars paint. This Is extremely Frustrating. Next they didn't rinse off the bottom of the engine bay as they had always done in the past. And lastly they didn't show me any on my fluids as they had always done in the past. I know my car is new but it seems like they should still stay thorough. For a $50 regular oil change I expect a much more thorough and thoughtful job. read more

Such a terrible organization I I am part of the community that does it so no oil changes and they denied me to give them used oil. Whoever was talking to me was talk to me way too close and was trying to intimidate me and I'm not one that usually intimidated. I felt the way they were handling it was very unprofessional and they should except other peoples oil regardless of where it comes from. I will not support any organization that does this to anybody from the general public. I take my oil to Jiffy Lube and they have no problem. I do care about the environment and I do not want to dump the oil that will lead to the groundwater and that will kill plants animals and contaminate our water supply. This place doesn't even deserve one star. My husband went in for an oil change and fluid check (front and rear differential and transmission). Once he left, the vehicle started profusely leaking transmission fluid out of the transfer case due to overfilling of fluid which blew out a seal in the transfer case. Calling Valvoline corporate for 4 days with no return call from manager after being promised he'd get one. This is his business vehicle and money is being lost. He's been to three certified mechanics who state the vehicle was over filled with transmission fluid which blew the seal. He has spent more time trying to get this rectified than working. We are business owners of a large contracting company in Oregon and we would never falsely accuse and have integrity. This has been hell and nobody cares about the mistake made. All we asked was it be repaired. My husband has been treated awful and less than. Do not take your vehicle here. You'd get better results from a monkey with a wrench and the higher leadership is insulting and all about money. No integrity built into such a place. Please see the proof of the dipstick overfilled and all the transmission fluid all over the vehicle and on the ground. Social media will be notified of this all. read more

This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. They lie and mislead and their work is a rip-off. I wasted four hours there because we had to take our car out of town early Monday and they were the only shop open on Sunday. The guys drained the transmission instead of the oil pan and it just got worse from there. Manager came in and told me he would rather be home watching a movie. I asked home to get a tow truck to take the car to the dealership to refill the transmission and it took him well over an hour because he said he would only pay $75!and all the tow companies wanted $100. I'm from Springfield and visit family here often. Been going to this location since it was an Oil Can Henry's, for 16 years, when I come to town. I've had hit or miss experiences there, but generally good. My location in Portland, I've always had amazing, comfortable experiences. Here, I always feel a little vulnerable going alone, as a woman that doesn't have an extensive mechanic education, and I have seen a marked difference in the amount of up-selling attempts that happen when I go alone vs with a male. Yesterday was the worst though. It started with the employee up-selling me on the type of oil I needed. For years I've gotten Conventional in this car, and when I asked, he confirmed that was in fact in my records with them. He then proceeded to talk as fast as humanly possible, about how my car comes out of the factory meant to have synthetic blend, and the small bits and parts need that to function. Essentially tells me that my use of Conventional in the past has been putting it in an early grave. I reluctantly agreed to upgrade it this one time, but planned to consult my dad (a gearhead) after. At home Dad confirmed that the engine my car has is fine with conventional oil, vs his truck that needs thinner oil, and he went over the technical aspects that always go over my head. The employee then also tries to sell me a new air filter, saying he could barely see the white while holding it up to the light. I could see lots of white all the way from inside my car, so I declined the $24.99 filter at this time. He then continued to bully me, saying that the filter is the "lungs of the engine", and "this one has COPD", telling me I was ruining my gas mileage. At home Dad again confirmed that on the newer vehicles like mine, the air filter doesn't increase or decrease mileage like that guy was selling, and when I needed a new one they were $2-3. I also got my last set of wipers there last year. They were sold to me as "lifetime" wipers, which I didn't believe for a second, but my dad agreed to pay for them (he came with that time) so why not. The drivers side wiper never worked right (something I didn't know til the rains started weeks later), and I'd been needing to replace it since. While waiting in line, the menu had wipers listed at $15 ea. I contemplated replacing the driver side one, since it would be convenient, but remembered the shitty wiper had come from there in the first place. After bullying me about oil and filters and whatever else, the guy goes "looks like these wipers aren't doing much" while holding the driver side one. I said "yeah, that one has never really worked". I assumed he realized they were their brand, because he offered to switch it out and "I'll give you a $20 discount so it'll pay for itself". I agreed. TO THE ONE WIPER. Next time I look up from my phone while waiting for my oil change to finish, there are two wipers going on my car. I regret that I didn't stand up for myself and say no I only wanted ONE. But I figured with the promised discount of $20 making the other only $10, I'd allow it since I probably needed them both changed anyway. Suddenly he's telling me (after the fact) that he can't apply the $20 discount, "the computer" will only let him do $15. He says my total is $82.09. Considering I came in for a $45 dollar oil change with my $7 coupon in hand, I wasn't stoked. I start pulling my cash and he says, "oh good news I got it to work! I can do the 20", so I'm assuming it'll be less. He then says "that'll be $97". Caught off guard I blurted, "I thought you just said $82", and he explains, "Oh I had the wrong wipers in, these are more since they're the only ones we could do on your car". Whatever that means. Basically he tricked me into agreeing to wipers advertised at 15 ea, and never thought to mention that my car needed $25 ea wipers!! He was lucky he caught me after being stuck in freeway traffic coming down from Portland for 3.5 hours with a stomach ache, cuz I just wanted out of there and out of my car. I was confused, overwhelmed, and felt EXTREMELY bait and switched. At one point I had looked to my left and noticed the other car in the bay was also driven by a young woman, but she had a male in the passenger seat. I wondered if they were taking her for a ride too, or if she was spared by that male presence. I'll stick to my Portland location from now on. read more
