All the mechanics are super friendly, but Michael especially used to have one and is a blast to talk with about cool things you can do to make your truck perform better or save you a headache down the line. I've been here a couple times now for oil changes, I've had nothing but great customer service! The employees are always very kind, not pushy at all. They will make suggestions but they don't try to upsell you or sell extra services that are not needed. I know a lot of women worry about this when going to get an oil change alone. As a young women who probably looks like she knows nothing about cars, I'm usually afraid of getting swindled or pushed around at car dealerships or service centers. At Jiffy Lube though, I've only had great experiences! The team here are always so nice and helpful and treat me with respect. I wouldn't have taken my car in here, or even thought about it if my husband hadn't told me to. The engine in his car had started to overheat the last couple days while he was working. That's a big problem. Which he left me to deal with. Happy day. So I called to find out how much a coolant flush would cost me and if I could make an appointment. $75 and no appointments. First come, first serve. I showed up around 4, and they were busy! They get to my car, tech comes in to say I didn't need a coolant flush, it was just incredibly low. I thought we had put enough in, because it seemed like an entire bottle, plus copious amounts of water. They did recommend a fuel filter and injectors be replaced. Which wasn't more than the coolant flush, so still within budget. I had them do that and replace the windshield wipers as well. They started the car again, and it overheated, causing coolant to explode everywhere, blew the radiator cap off, everything. They let it cool down, which felt like forever, and told me the thermostat was bad. I had suspected this prior to this, so it didn't surprise me. I asked if I needed it towed or I could drive it. I only needed to go about 2-3 miles. They said they would make it drivable. Awesome. I went out to visit with the tech working on it. He showed me the thermostat he had taken apart and how it had totally seized up. He explained things to me, answered questions, etc. I made the offhand comment of, if someone would go get the part, we could do it right here since you've got it all apart already. He was thinking the same thing. Now, this is after 6, and the business is closed. These guys had every right in the world to kick me out and say have a great day and be done. They are on their own free time doing this. He gets the second tech to go get it, and I give him money. In the meantime while waiting, the first tech cleans my headlight covers, puts my new registration tags on the car (I've forgotten for like a month, but they were in the car), fixes the trunk latch, so I don't have to hold it up every time we open it. All little things that came up in discussion that he just took care of, without being asked. All I really wanted was the thermostat done. But he saw a need and fixed it. Both work on the thermostat, and we get it in and done. Car still overheats. Shit! So find out the fans aren't kicking in. Putter with that, and figure out why. Two relays were bad. Switch those out for good ones. Runs perfect now! All I have to do is replace the two bad relays. Which isn't a huge deal, and I'll be doing that this afternoon. I told both of these guys that by taking over 2 hours out of their evening, off the clock, they've insured I can send my husband to work with full confidence the car will work and I don't have to worry about him. Neither of them really wanted to be paid, which I'm not a fan of anyone working for free. These guys just did it because it was helpful to me and it was the right thing to do. I don't know much about the Jiffy Lube company or how they typically treat customers, but these guys were amazing. I was so impressed by how far above and beyond they went, while on their own time. I would definitely return here, because they were upfront and honest, telling me the work I had asked for wasn't needed, but other items that were. Price was discussed before work was done. They asked customers if they were ok with whatever price, no surprises. They are cheaper than most places. The coolant flush was $75, my normal mechanic charges $150 for that. I was always raised to trust Jiffy Lube. I figured that this would be a safe bet when I took my car to get the oil changed for the first time without my dad or SO tagging along. Nope. Not only was the check-out dude extremely condenscending, rude and impatient towards me, he failed to both engage the emergency brake in my car and leave it in gear. I saw my car rolling off on a VERY windy day and ran out to stop it from ending up in the busy street. He did not apolozige and instead rolled his eyes and told me to pay. They also failed to identify a leak in the coolant reservoir. I had a strong urge that was the issue I was facing when my car starting overheating out of nowhere and I discovered my coolant had magically disappeared. I asked them to check up on it. Rude guy didn't inform me of the outcome and, upon asking, he briefly walked out to talk to 'confirm' there wasn't an issue. Who knows if they even checked. My regular guy spotted the problem immediately when I drove out to him soon after. Only positive thing about this place was the guy with the dermal under his eye that checked me in. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! They didn't latch my hood and i got on the freeway and my hood flew up and smashed my windshield. After calling them and getting my car towed to a mechanic, the jiffy lube boss told me they were going to take care of it. So i got a car rental. After 5 days of me thinking it was being worked on i called to be informed that jiffy lube said it wasn't their fault and they weren't paying for the damages. No one told me my car wasn't being paid for/worked on. I've asked multiple times to have the owner get ahold of me. It's been 2 weeks and still no call. So I've had to pay out of pocket for their mistake. And to top it off, my check engine light is now on and it was not before i took it to jiffy lube. read more

This place has one of the worst customer service I have ever been subjected to. I am appalled by how they treat women and people in general. They didn't tighten my oil cap causing my check engine light to come on. They then wasted 3 hours of my time and tried to manipulate me into thinking it wasnt their fault. My dad always has me go get the oil changed in his car and this is where he has always done it and the guys are always really nice and flirty hahaha. :) Always really fast too. Like, not even ten minutes. But then again I always happen to get there when it's completely empty. The only problem (it isn't really a problem! nobody's fault really) is their groupon thing. My mom is obsessed with getting groupons for like everything and she always gives me these free oil change things and the guys always have issues trying to enter it in the computer. I dunno whose fault that is, making those fricken groupons so hard to process, but it should be fixed! DO NOT HAVE THESE AMATEURS WORK ON YOUR CAR! I was sold an engine air filter and noticed an unfinished installation. The filter was askew and only three of the four screws used to close the air box were installed. The technician could not properly install the filter. I had to reinstall it myself. I was not told of this lack of a finished job by the branch manager. I was left to find this on my own. My check engine light went off and my mass air censor was effected by air flow seeping in through the filter air box that was not properly closed by the Jiffy Lube technician. I, in no way, trust this Jiffy Lube and its technicians. I will now be working on my own car for maintenance. Don't waste your time with this Jiffy Lube location. You cannot trust them. read more

Perhaps it seems weird to write a review here for something like a Jiffy Lube, but I just wanted to share this: The employees at this particular Jiffy Lube are fantastic. They are so friendly and fun to talk to, they actually make it fun to get an oil change. I've come in with two different vehicles lately and both times everyone was great. When I came in on a very quiet day, nobody just stood around doing nothing just because there was only one car, the whole team worked on my car, and they got me out of there in no time. (It was like a whirlwind going on around my car haha, and they still found time to chat and joke around in the middle) Unfortunately I don't know their names, otherwise I'd thank them here specifically. In short: if you're going to get your oil changed anywhere in town, I would suggest going to this place. The employees are really what makes it great. And if it IS a busy day: Pier 1 is just across the street, and Trader Joe's and Bed Bath and Beyond are right there too, so you can always run some quick errands. read more

When I called to ask how to get it removed the man on the phone simply laughed at me and told me it was a "courtsey" and if it didn't happen then to figure it out/not my problem. I'm not someone to do a review but I've experienced the WORST service ever. My car is my baby. For the first time EVER I went and got my oil changed instead of doing it myself and not only did they not completely screw my skid plate back on, but they didn't use ALL the screws! They didn't put some back on. Then when I called to simply say I want all my screws back, the manager (Allan) said to come on in and they will fix them for free. Well guess what, I went back and the manager said he got under my car himself and fixed it all. Come to find out, no he didn't. After proceeded to check under my car myself I noticed the same thing. I was missing screws and some were loose. And they did clip the flaps correctly. I would expect it from a minimum wage paid employee but the MANAGER did that quality. Not to mention one service tech asked if I needed help resetting my oil light and when I informed him I already had, he responded saying "oh good cause I don't know how". He also told me he was "in a zone" and accidentally flushed my engine. That is not a real term so who knows what he did to my car that has continued to make a rattling noise. Topped off fluids and cleaned windows, as well as offered to vacuum floorboards (declined due to car being full), light check and wiper check. I have been getting my oil changed at the Jiffy Lube on Coburg Road for 4 years now and have always been happy with my service. Today, I felt they went above and beyond. During the quality check, they noticed that there was something wrong with my air filter housing intake that could have caused my car to stop working if I didn't get it fixed right away. Alec told me where to get the part, about how much it cost, and did the labor for close to nothing. He seemed so sorry about the inconvenience but was so helpful and kind throughout the whole process and genuinely seemed worried about the cars safety. He saved me what would have been a very expensive trip to the mechanic. He gave me his schedule and his assistants schedule so that I could come back whenever was best for me to be fixed. Everyone I interacted with today was kind, helpful and concerned about my car; quick oil changes already kept me coming back, but this example of above and beyond service is something I will be sure to share with everyone. read more

Being a previous employee for Jiffy Lube #2533 (Coburg Rd), I would like to dismiss the common rumors and myths of Jiffy Lube. (I am not employed by Jiffy Lube at the time of this review) 1. Each one is franchised - The owners set their own prices and services they offer. 2. Jiffy Lube will NEVER (it's illegal) recommend services on your vehicle that are not recommended by the manufacturer. Therefore JL will never try to "sell" you a product. You say no and we say o.k. 3. Jiffy Lube ALWAYS changes the oil, and ALWAYS changes the filter. This is not even a "common mistake" or something that people can forget. If someone has told you this has happened, it is because it was done on purpose, or it was a previous oil leak they blamed on JL. Now from an employee's point of view I can tell you that we do 40+ cars a day. Tiring yes, and sometimes it shows. I agree this needs to be worked on, because It can give off a bad impression to the customer, even though the work done is still thorough and honest. Prices tend to be in the higher range ($28 and up) for an oil change, much like Oil Can Henry's and other private or franchised lube shops. Being someone who knows cars and how much things cost, that's expensive. If you have the know-how and right tools, you can change your own oil for less than $10 (for a standard 4 cylinder engine). But you must remember, as with most businesses and products, you're paying for the convenience. Now you see, it's not so bad. Spending 30 bucks or so to have your oil changed, fluids checked and topped-off, tires checked, undercarriage lubed (if needed), and gearboxes checked and topped off - while you sit in the car for 10 min - is fair. I'll leave it at that. Last but not least, so many customers would come in with assumptions based off of media or other store's poor service that they treat the employees there like dirt. This is one of the only establishments ive seen people come in with general hostility to all employees regardless or prior history/service. REMEMBER THESE ARE FRANCHISED BUSINESSES. Davis, Ca. Jiffy Lube offers tire rotation. Eugene, Or Jiffy Lube(s) DO NOT. A lot of people would come in complaining about tires (or other issues on services we don't provide) and although we professionally suggest going back to where it was done or providing directions to nearby mechanics/auto parts stores, hostility still remains our biggest issue with customers. Employees at JL will do their best to help within their, for lack of better words, jurisdiction. Im not trying to fix problems via internet review. I wanted to give some insight about a company that a lot of people are still unfamiliar with. So give em a try, and for less busy times, I suggest going in before noon. And when you smile at someone, 99% of the time they will smile back, and it goes a loooong way. read more

Any time I show up the oil change never takes longer than 20 mins, even if changing the air filter or other services are required (which, by the way, they seem very honest about). The people there are always very polite and they don't even make me feel bad for not knowing where the lever is that pops my hood, haha. Stopped in and the guys checked out the car, topped off the oil, cleaned out some gunk, and sent us on our way after 20 min without charging us.
