I was impressed with the customer service given when I walked in the door. The front person was busy, so the manager came out of his office to help me. This doesn't sound like a lot, but I believe that it was given that good customer service can be hard to find sometimes. My car was there for the "Best" package, and they were finished when they said they would be. I will go there again for service. read more

They don't honor the prices on the Goodyear website. They also were going to charge me for installation when they had a special for free installation. I went home while they installed my tires and they didn't call when they were finished. They were more concerned with add-on purchases and pushing me to spend more money. They performed tire replacement, major mechanical work and then basic work like an oil change for me. Everytime they called me they had a prepared printed list with all the issues they found and then with recommended services. I'm usually pretty wary to believe a new mechanic because I don't want to be played or lied too. Every time they told me something was wrong I showed up and double checked it by pulling the part myself, measuring the tire depth of tread myself and verifying online the type of problem they are telling me along with the estimated price. They were honest every time and got my cars fixed quickly and correctly the first time. My cars engine mounts were loose and I didn't believe him at first but that was sure the problem and not a faulty engine part firing wrong like I thought. The manager has been doing this a long time and comes off a bit strong at first but he knows his stuff and runs a tight ship. Would recommend to my friends. A benefit I didn't know was that good years are nationwide so if your out of town they will still warranty their work at any location regardless of state. read more

I highly recommend this business. I got a rapidly leaking tire on a rental car. I googled repair place and Goodyear was closest. I called and the friendly guy said they'd squeeze me in. They were busy but I was out of there with a repaired tire in just over an hour. Much faster then it would've taken with the rental car company. We where at the end of our two week road trip. I was coming back down from Washington to California when my change oil light came on. I stopped by in Eugene, Oregon for the night and Goodyear was able to accommodate us with their very busy schedule for 8am the next morning which worked out perfect for us. Even during times of COVID and what not, they did their best to get us back on the road as soon and as safely as possible. I had an oil change on my Tacoma. The mechanic failed to shut the hood properly and It bounced open when I got on the freeway. not all the way open, just up and down several inches because it wasn't latched. This wasnt happening before. I am afraid to drive it, and cannot open nor close the hood now. I called Goodyear to ask them to fix it, but they have no mobile mechanics and I was told to go in again. I'm afraid to drive with an unlatched hood. Their nonchalance and refusal to accept responsibility is what irked me enough to write this review. A neighborhood mechanic would have sent someone over to close it- or more likely, would have taken the time to close it properly in the first place. Dealing with a no-one cares business, is fine until they mess up. read more

Within a half hour of posting the review, Andrew, the manager at Good Year, called and came out to my house to fix the problem with the latch on the Toyota. Thankyou for being responsive to my needs Andrew! Service at the facility was fine and the quick response to the problem changed my 1 star review into a 5 star. Shows me that they read their reviews and that posting a review is good recourse. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!! My partner and I took our 2013 Kia Soul here to get the oil changed. When I scheduled the appointment online I opted for the free alignment check as well. Upon dropping off the car they tried to up-sell us on alignment service without even checking the alignment. The time that they estimated for the oil change was better in the shop than online. We walked to a nearby location to grab some brunch while we were waiting for the car. As part of the oil change they "measured" the tire tread. They called us and told us that the tires that had been on the front and were now on the back were at 2/32nd of an inch and were super dangerous to drive on. They tried to sell us 2 tires for the outrageous price of $195 when we balked saying we could not afford that they immediately attempted to push us into getting a Goodyear credit card. The paperwork they gave us said that one of the tires was actually at 0/32" the other tire they were trying to urge us to replace did say 2/32" and both front tires read 6/32" The tire which read at 0/32" would have already popped if had already been that. The car in question was a used car we had purchased at Kiefer Mazda less than two months ago. They would not have let us drive off the lot with tires that were that dangerously low. We immediately drove across town to Kiefer Mazda where they measured the tires and let us know the back tires are at 4/32" and the front tires are at 7/32". There are other places in Eugene to get reasonably priced oil changes. Don't give these scam artists your business. read more

More than 2 weeks ago, one of the tires on my Subaru went flat. Since I got my original set from Costco, I went back there to get a replacement tire. The technician there told me they don't have my tire in stock. So he ordered one tire for me and told me they should arrive within 3-5 business days. A week goes by, I don't hear from them. So I call them...again and again. They NEVER pick up the phone, nor do they return messages. Even when I call Costco's customer service desk, they can't get ahold of anyone at the tire center for me. The second week goes by, I still don't hear from them. So I go into their office in person. All they can tell me if my tire has not arrived and they don't know why. They would attempt to call the manufacturer to check on the order, but I walked away empty-handed. No answers to anything. I haven't been able to drive on the freeway because the spare tire doesn't allow me to drive over 50 mph. I'm supposed to travel to Portland from Eugene this week. I went to see Paul over at Goodyear and come to find, you can't just replace one tire on an all-wheel-drive vehicle. You have to replace all 4 tires or else the tread depth will be mismatched. This can cause further problems with your vehicle in the future. I wanted to cry because I just got a new set last year and I wasn't prepared to pay for 4 brand new ones. Paul at Goodyear took a look at my flat tire and told me it was actually repairable. They fixed it for free and sent me on my way. I don't even need to pay for a new tire(s). Costco Tire Center never even bothered to look at my flat tire or point out that you can't put one new tire on an AWD vehicle. I'm never going back to Costco Tire Center. Just based on customer service alone, it's obvious Goodyear actually cares about their clientele. I actually felt like a person, instead of a number. Thanks for the great service, Paul! Really great experience! Had an online coupon for an oil change, made the appointment online. I arrived on a Sunday morning, and they were busy for sure. Paul N. helped me at the counter. Efficient and friendly, genuinely nice guy. Zackairy C. was the tech that serviced my car, a very nice young man. Both were impeccably dressed and very professional. These guys did a wonderful job doing my alignment and didn't try to sell me any parts that I didn't need , I'm an ex ASE master tech and have a degree in Automotive Technology and they didn't know that when they did my alignment, in fact, they won't know until they read this review. The only reasons for giving only 4 stars is my car didn't get on the rack until an hour after my appointment and even though the car drives straight as an arrow my steering wheel is off by a degree or 2, other than that I've never had such a precise alignment and the steering wheel is just a pet peeve of mine and if it weren't for the Toyota logo I'd never know it was off. read more

I always get my routine oil change and maintenance at Goodyear. I'm so glad I found this place. Sure, it's not super-speedy like Jiffy Lube or Oil Can Henry's, but what you get in exchange is honest, personalized service. As a young woman I've had so many experiences with auto centers trying to upsell me and scare me into buying parts or services that I don't need. These guys aren't going to pull your perfectly-fine air filter out of your car and tell you you need a new one. They're not going to make you feel bad for using standard oil instead of upgrading fluids, and they'll keep your choices on file so you don't have to tell them which one you want every time you go in. They'll let you know when your car is due for maintenance according to the manufacturer, but they'll be honest about whether or not you really need it. And since they specialize in tires, they're great about checking the wear on your tires to see if you need to rotate them or replace them. If they need to be rotated, they'll do it for free. I haven't needed any major repairs on my car except for my regular oil change and fluid checks, but if something does go wrong I'm not going to hesitate about going straight to Goodyear. I bought a set of tires from them once and they helped me pick out exactly what I needed and didn't try to get me to buy anything fancy. An oil change with standard maintenance is $19.95. It takes about an hour, but they have a nice waiting area with tv, magazines, and free coffee. Since you're right downtown you can also walk around and come back for it later. One time my service was going to take longer (unexpectedly) because I decided to get my tires replaced and one of the guys drove me home so I wouldn't be late for work. Awesome! read more

This place is crap! I got my tires remounted and balanced and it came with free tire rotations. Just brought my car in to rotate the tires. They had the car for an hour and didn't even rotate the tires. Instead they did an inspection and tried to sell me on getting new tires, new wiper blades (which I just replaced) and an oil change. This place will waste your time and are looking to rip people off on services that aren't needed. Go else where for services to your vehicle. I no longer will be going to this place and I will also be canceling my Goodyear credit card. read more

Not Confidental and Damaged Tire When the receptionist man took my information, he said everything letter by letter as he inputted all my confidential information.He was not quiet at all as he spelled out where I lived, what I drove, my full name, phone number, and car information. So all the other customers were privy to my PRIVATE information. When I got my car back from getting a flat tire fixed, there also was a huge gouge out of the side of my tire. Pretty immediate service and they had the tires we needed when we got a flat on our way to Portland. Unfortunately, we had a sharp looking black powdercoat on all four wheels of our Mercedes which they completely ruined. When my husband brought this up, the associate argued with him and tried to minimize the damage because "it isn't stock". So if you have nice wheels I would call attention to it ahead of time or find somewhere that can perform a damage-free tire change. We love Goodyear tires, but this location had poor customer service. read more

These guys tried to rip me off. Came in to Goodyear because one of my tires was low. They told me I had a slow leak and wanted to take a look at it. After a while they told me they can't patch it and handed me a quote for four new tires. I then went into Les Schwab for a second option. Didn't say anything other than I thought I had a slow leak in the tire. They pulled out a nail, patched it up, and sent me on my way. I did not need new tires. Claimed that three year old tires were actually seven years old, and that we needed an entirely new set, but then backtracked and said that they had plenty of tread life left when we questioned the Goodyear warranty. Bought four new Goodyear tires for my 2012 Toyota Avalon back in March 2018, and my husband took the car back in for a wheel alignment check today. (There had been some vibration at 60 mph, so I figured it needed an alignment. Plus the dealer recommended an alignment some time ago.) Turned out the car did not need alignment or brakes. Goodyear balanced the tires and it took care of the vibration. Goodyear tires are my tires of choice; I'v always had good luck with them. The Goodyear Auto Service Center in Eugene gives excellent customer service. I will visit them again the next time I need tires. Meanwhile my Toyota rides like a dream now with the wheel balance, which by the way, was Free! Thank you Goodyear! read more

I drove to Eugene from the Bay Area in California. I had my car serviced before the trip, but had learned there was a slow oil leak in my car. On Friday at 1 o'clock I called to ask if they could check out the car, take a look at the oil, put some air in the tires, and give it a once over before I left town the next morning for the 8 1/2 hour drive home. Paul, one of the men working at the shop, was as nice as could be. He penciled me in for an appointment the following hour, -- he just made a little pocket of time for me. He not only put air in my tires, but also put air in my spare tire -- (a good thing too, it was completely airless). Paul had to go and take care of another customer. The shop manager -- name forgotten, sorry -- took over. He checked the oil and transmission fluid, topped off my wiper fluid. THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME A CENT FOR ALL OF THIS! Before I drove away, Paul came to my car, (I was sitting and reading texts), had me roll down my window. He smiled, stuck his hand out for a shake, and wished me a safe drive home. I have had multiple negative experiences with Goodyear Auto Service center and won't return to them or recommend them to anyone who needs diagnostics or basic car repairs. On both occasions they overstated the need for a car repair and quoted a plethora of services that my car urgently needed, which upon second and third opinion were not urgent repairs. Their exaggerated recommendations led me to follow up with other shops and validated the distrust I felt towards their staff. In an industry where customers are relieved to find an honest technician and expect to be taken advantage of, Goodyear Auto Service on 7th kept the bar low. read more
