Had to go back 3 times. They didn't schedule my vehicle with the mechanic I requested, which was the only reason I went there. The first day they didn't bother ordering the part that was supposed to be replaced. The second day they had me sitting in the really cold waiting room for over two hours without notifying me that they had already stopped working on the vehicle. When I went up there to check they added another charge to the already exorbitant bill because they broke another part when taking it out. Had to wait another day for them to order that part. During that time I was w/o my car. Third day they never called and when I called them I was told that the person who can answer if the car is ready or not is going on a 1.5 hour lunch break and to call back after he comes back. read more

We went here for years with the previous owner. When Point S first took over we enjoyed interacting with Ray but since he left our experience has not been great. We would call to make an appointment to have our car looked at and were told to just bring it in but when we brought it in we were told that they didn't have time to look at our car. More recently we had our back brakes replaced After a few weeks I started to hear an awful sound. I go in Monday afternoon takes 45 minutes. He does a diagnostic on my AC tells me what I already knew. Pump wasn't engaging. Says he will write a quote up and have it for me. The next day I call on the next day says he doesn't have the estimate takes down my phone number says he'll write it up and call me on Thursday just before they close I drive in he doesn't remember who I am asked me to come back to do the diagnostic again so you tell me how many stars you'd rate them. read more

A few days ago, I took my car to Point S for a front end alignment after buying new tires for it. I was told that it would take about one hour and would cost me about $90 for the front end alignment, and that was my expectation as I dropped off the car. About 20 minutes later, I was told that the work on the car was done. I was told that the front end alignment was not necessary as the alignment was within specifications, so no adjustments were necessary, and instead charging me $90, they charged me $34.95. This was a pleasant surprise to me. Point S could have just charged me the original agreed-upon amount of $90, but instead they discounted my charges substantially. I found them to be honest and trustworthy, which I laud and appreciate. read more

This is a follow up to my last review. My a 63 year old sister is being forced to walk to work everyday because Point S in Junction City Oregon has had her car for almost a month now. In fact. October 25th will be a month. They won't return her calls and her car is just sitting behind their shop. My advice would be that all older women avoid Point S in Junction City Oregon. read more

So I was originally recommended the Point S in Springfield and I am currently in the process of still trying to decide if I will end up going back to the Eugene location. The guy that helped me was really nice, really informative. And supposedly they check everything on your car and tell you what needs to happen next, what's crucial and what needs to be done soon, what is looking good, etc. They charged me close to $600 and fixed a few things. "Fixed" being a loose term. I'm not sure if they actually fixed it because the same noise my car was making before it is still making AND my battery died the other day. Surely they would have noticed that my battery was close to being done, right?? Surely if they fixed it the noise would have been gone?? They did tell me that my car would still make a noise different than the original, and I listened to that specific noise...it was much lighter and very different than the original noise. But a few days later after being "fixed" my car was making the same noise as before. I've had a lot of bad luck with car places, seem a lot of scammy places. I'm trying to decide if this is one of them. I was suggested the Springfield location...I think I will take my business there next time. read more

I bought a set of tires from Point S Eugene and they fixed my alignment. After driving for a week, I knew that the new tires were too noisy. Luckily, they let me switch the tires out for a quieter set that really improved the ride of my Subaru. Well, its about time I gave these guys a shout out. Over the years that I have been going there, Point S has been nothing but a fantastic service over and over again for me and when I needed them the most they came through for me. Twice they have come to my rescue when I was out and about and bailed me out of trouble when they didn't even have to and didn't even charge me a dime for it. There was a time when I was having trouble with the brakes on my truck and they tried a couple time to fix them but for what ever reason my problem was beyond them. I finally took my truck to a shop out on 99 to have them fixed properly and when I finally did get my brakes fixed what did Point S do? They refunded all the money that they had charged me for their blunders and apologized to me. It wasn't their fault that the part that they installed was bad from the factory. Folks, these guys are on the up and up, at least for me they always have been. When ever I need work done or new tires I will be going to Point S totally without reservation at all. I went to have some def added to my diesel. When I went in the office The Man behind The desk asked if I had an appointment I said I had not. He said they are awfully busy. They had about six stalls in the garage not one car in a stall . After some discussion he said he would work me in. The man filling the def spilled it down the sides of the car did not offer to clean it. The def can cause damage to a car. I had to wipe it off myself. He said he filled it full and it was not full. What wonderful people! They managed to take a super stressful situation and turn it around! While moving from San Francisco to Seattle earlier this month, we stopped in Eugene for the night. In the morning we noticed one of our tires was low. We called every tire place in the area and all of them had a 2-3 hour wait. It was raining outside and we had our two toddlers and our dog in the car, along with most of our valuables, and we were already behind schedule. We were already stressed and waiting was less than ideal. The guy at Point S said to come on by and they could see us right away. We got there and they patched our tire (we had run over a nail) and we (including our dog) waited in their very comfy and relaxing waiting room. Apparently, our stress was obvious (or our kids charmed the pants off of them) because when they gave us the bill, it was for $0.00. I have been a customer of Tire Factory, then Point S Tire for many years. They have been helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. However, I scheduled an oil change for this morning, and upon my arrival, I saw absolutely no COVID-19 precautions in place. None of the employees were wearing masks. There were no markings on the floor for social distancing. There were no plexiglass barriers at the counter. Nothing. It was as if the entire staff didn't even acknowledge that COVID exists, let alone take any common sense precautions. Someone who was doing some body work had removed my tire and when they replaced it, one of the lug nuts went missing. Without an appointment, I visited Roy at the Tire Factory (new name). We were just in here earlier today needing a single new tire and was quoted at $179 for the tire and labor. This place has a large sign on the front that says "we price match". We looked online and found the same tire for $50 and then was told by the store that they could not price match an online price. We were then told to get a quote over the phone and ended up getting the same price of $50 over the phone but then was told by Point S that they could not price match because it goes "under their budget". We then call discount tire and they tell us the tire is $70 and total install for $93. I'm not sure why Point S has a sign on their window that says "we price match" if they can't honor it or afford it. Seems a little shady that the original quote was $90 more than other stores. Took our Mazda in based on the great reviews when one of our tires started losing pressure, and was not disappointed. It didn't take them very long to get to my car, and fixed the tire quickly. They let me know it had a piece of metal in the tire that was causing the leakage, and they fixed it for no cost at all. Had my Toyota in for a water pump replacement last fall. The service wasn't accomplished correctly and the entire cooling system went toes up. To their credit, they paid a different shop to fix the car (after I had it towed there since Point S was "too busy" to work on it.) and the car quit in after work traffic. Two weeks ago, my daughter took the car in for an alignment which it didn't need. She said it was "jerking". I've driven it and that wasn't the case. Anyhow, they charged her for 1/2 of the alignment cost, stating they couldn't finish it because it needed major work. They wrote up inner and outer tie rods, bearing(s) and another alignment. I was looking at major $$. I purchased this car new and have kept up with all maintenance, so I was especially skeptical. The shop that took care of my water pump and cooling system repair gave me a courtesy check and found all the tie rods were in great condition. I only needed to replace 1 bearing in the future. Seriously! Avoid this place. Leave auto repair to the professionals. Leave tires to the others. I'll never be back read more

Horrible place, do not give these guys any business. I pulled up to their business at 4:45, keep in mind they close at 5:30. I had a flat tire in their parking lot. Went in and talked to the front desk guy, he was rude and said there was no way they could help me. I asked if I could borrow a jack since they wouldn't sell me a tire, very rudely he said they couldn't even lend me a tool. I ended up calling a friend and changing my tire outside their parking lot. The next day I called to talk to the manager and he was extremely rude also, saying oh your the guy who asked to borrow a jack. I am a ethnic person so maybe that is why I was treated the way I was. I ended up buying 4 new tires from another company the next day. I recommend not ever giving this company any money ever. And to add to the story, a coworker had a very similiar experience a few weeks later, so I am not the only one. Stay away from this business. They apparantly don't need the business. read more

I rarely ever write reviews but I was SO happy with my service today - I went in for an alignment and a tire rotation to get ready for a road trip I'm going on in a few weeks. Ray, at the counter, was SO nice and easy to talk to. He always made sure I knew exactly what was going on. When it turned out that I didn't need an alignment but in fact new tires (since mine were bald and I never got them rotated ) I could tell he wasn't just trying to upsell to me, that he and the team genuinely cared about me and my safety. We went there this past Saturday due to a constantly deflating tire. We dropped in at our convenience as they don't take appointments for tire work and they immediately took a look at the tire and were able to remove the piece of metal that had caused the problem and patch the tire in about 15 minutes...and they charged us $0!!! I thought that service like this was an urban myth, but it isn't here. We felt so guilty about paying nothing that we tipped the person who worked on our car and after our experience vowed to return here for all the other work that our car will need in future. They were courteous, prompt and seemed to highly value integrity, which is hard to find in any business these days. Did I mention that they also do tire rotations for free? read more
