Happy with the service at drop-off...tire install went fine BUT after the job was completed and I was checking out, I was treated to an arrogant, rude and unhelpful interaction with LOREN. I wasn't planning on coming to the tire center today, but stuff happens. My husband and I pulled into the parking lot to go shopping at Costco and hear the all too familiar sound of a flat tire. We got out and found it, so went to visit the tire center and see if they could help us. We dealt with Derek at the front who explained everything, tried to find the tires and get us a price. Caleb went out to the car with us to see if it was fixable. I didn't think it was, and that was fine. I knew we needed new tires at this point. I'd been trying to push it back as long as possible, through fall and winter, basically. Caleb chatted with us as we walked and was just nice to talk to. Derek quoted us as things taking a couple of hours to do, because it was a walk-in without an appointment. I told him as long as he could get us home in time to watch the Blazer playoff game, I'd be happy. That was my big request when it came to the time frame. Our tires are Michelin, rates for 80,000 miles, and we paid less than $400 for a set of 4. I'm a happy camper with that! The whole process didn't take nearly as long as originally thought. My husband and I went to share a hotdog and soda, walked over to St. Vinnie's and I found some great books to review in my blog. Score! This wasn't in my plans, but I'm not complaining. After that, we went shopping in Costco and the car was done just as we were finishing. Derek explained all the warranty information before handing over the keys. One of the things I loved about this experience was how quickly it all went. Yet it didn't feel rushed. Both Derek and Caleb were efficient while making each customer feel like they were the only ones there. Would I return? Most definitely. Derek and Caleb made this an excellent experience. Both listened to everything we said, answered questions, and were fast and efficient. Great customer service, in my opinion. read more

Made an appointment for tire rotation and repair. Was told an hour. 2 hours later, finally done.

I arrived at 10:30..as they requested-just a half hour after they opened to have my new set of Michelin tires installed. I was told it would take 3 hours. I asked them to install my brand new tires on the brand new set of Mercedes wheels, located in the back of my rig, they didn't write it down or do what was asked. At 3:05pm, about 4 1/2 hours later they called to say it was ready to go. They installed the tires on the wrong wheels. I had Les Schwab correct their error, rather than wait another 3 hours. Costco caused damage to all of my wheels, and refused to work with me on making it right and was finally sued into buying all 4 of them. Tire returns are not generous like the store, you can only make returns on the first 30 days! Which is like any store that sells Michelin tires. It doesn't matter if you only drove one day on them. I'm not sure why anyone would want to have tires worked on here. It's a major effort to deal with the parking, the waiting for service and the glacial speed of the tire appointment. Any tire shop I have been to does it better and faster. I will be sticking with the professional tire chains in the future, such as Discount Tire, Les Schwab and alike. read more

Thought I'd found a good deal buying set of Michelins from Costco. What I bought was regret. As far as I can tell, they never pick up the phone. Never. They have no automated dial-up or online system. Your only hope is to show up in person and loiter until you can flag someone down. You will then be given an estimate for how long it will take for them to get to your car and how long it will take. This estimate will fall short by a couple hours, minimum. You might be tempted to shop this time away, because hey! It's Costco! Do not give in to this temptation or you will find yourself waiting next to a cart of melting groceries, yearning to escape with no end in sight. Any price advantage Costco offers is completely offset by Eugene's unique brand of incredibly poor service. Clearly, they can't keep up with demand. Do yourself, Costco, and everyone else a big favor and go elsewhere. read more

I took in my car because another Costco Tire Center did a tire rotation that left my car sounding like a helicopter. This shop was able to get me in but did not note my issue and even when I picked my car up said that they did not check the sound I told them about! My car still has the same issue even after leaving the car with them for 4 hours. Did they even look at my car?? Costco....DO BETTER. Your reputation is at stake. read more

Very lousy service. They have the best pricing on Michelins, but.... Terrible service. They installed 4 new Michelins and 4 new tire pressure sensors on one of our work trucks. Within two days a sensor fails. Okay that can happen, but then once it has been replaced we have a bad vibration with the truck (tire not rebalanced correctly)! Every time a tire is removed from a freeway speed automobile wheel it must be rebalanced. Perhaps they just did not have the time.....or maybe they are just unqualified or incompetent. Surprising for a company that claims they may only sell you a set of four due to "safety". So now we have to return again (or go to someone else) to have it fixed. It may cost more up front but with three visits to get it right we are definitely losing money. Time is money. We cannot afford shoddy work that compromises safety and wastes our time! read more

I got a quote on the tires I wanted at an excellent price ($200 less than Schwab). Set up an appointment, tires were installed in under an hour. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. I had no problems at all and am confused by all the negative reviews here. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Don't usually leave reviews but needed to so people can see how bad these guys are. Tried to reach them the past 3 days to buy one of my employees tires. No one answers. Then a manager is supposed to call and no response. Highly suggest not going through these guys. You'd think paying for a Costco executive business membership would help, but guess not. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. More than 2 weeks ago, one of the tires on my Subaru went flat. Since I got my original set from Costco, I went back there to get a replacement tire. The technician told me they don't have my tire in stock. He ordered one tire for me and told me they should arrive within 3-5 business days. A week goes by, I don't hear from them. So I call them...again and again. They NEVER pick up the phone, nor do they return messages. Even when I call Costco's customer service desk, they can't get ahold of anyone at the tire center for me. The second week goes by, I still don't hear from them. So I go into their office in person. All they can tell me if my tire has not arrived and they don't know why. They would attempt to call the manufacturer to check on the order, but I walked away empty-handed. No answers to anything. I haven't been able to drive on the freeway because the spare tire doesn't allow me to drive over 50 mph. I'm supposed to travel to Portland from Eugene this week. I went to a different tire shop and come to find, you can't just replace one tire on an all-wheel-drive vehicle. You have to replace all 4 tires or else the tread depth will be mismatched. This can cause further problems with your vehicle in the future. The technician at this other tire shop took a look at my flat tire and told me it was actually repairable. They fixed it for free and sent me on my way. I don't even need to pay for a new tire(s). Costco Tire Center never even bothered to look at my flat tire or point out that you can't put one new tire on an AWD vehicle. Absolutely awful service from them. I don't know what's going on with that department. But they need to get their act together. Maybe it's because they're the only Costco in Eugene so they don't care about quality, since they already have the quantity. read more

I had a warranty issue with my tires, it took two weeks to get an appointment to see the store manager "Gianni" when I arrived he couldn't of been more rude and dismissive, he looked at me and "said what do you want" and then directed me to someone at the counter and walked away. When I finally did get a moment of us time to discuss the warranty he told me "I won't anything for you" and accused me of lying about the fact that I had rotated my tires.. (60,000 mile Warrantee tires that were out in less than 40,000 miles) Gianni could not of been more rude and condescending! Do not buy your tires here! They do not honor their written warranties and their management team is extremely rude and unprofessional! read more

We recently went to Costco Tire Center on Chad Dr. due to a slow leak in one of our Costco purchased tires. We were told it was not repairable but they didn't have the needed tire in stock and had to order it. Over a week later the tire was in so we made an appointment. The people were pleasant but incompetent. 1. We were told they would rotate the tires, but when we got the paperwork it didn't list rotation. We asked the clerk and he went back to the technician to verify that the tires were indeed rotated. 2. We were told the new tire needed to be installed on the rear but it was installed on the front. 3. We were given specific tire pressure specifications but the tires were over inflated in the front and under inflated in the rear. 4. We heard a noise on the drive home from the spare tire area and on checking found there are missing parts to the spare tire assembly. On calling the tire center, they were clueless on helping us remedy the situation. So until we find and purchase the missing part, we have the spare tire in the trunk and anything we kept in the trunk is now on the back seats which gives us little room for passengers, purchases or supplies. We will never go back to Costco Tire Center again and will warn others to not use their service. read more

Dropped off my SUV to put snow tires on at 4:30 for a 5:30 appointment. Came back to the center at 7 pm and they had just started the work, quoting another 30 - 45 minutes. What's the point of getting an appointment if it's going to take more than two hours to get a 30 - 45 minute job done. read more

Ran over something today that gave me a flat- I was overdue for new tires anyway so they got me new ones as a walk-in in less than 90 minutes. They were all really friendly and efficient and I'm so grateful for their help today, making a crappy situation better. Highly recommend. read more

I have been a Costco tires customer for a very long time.  Over the years I have taken many different cars to be serviced at the Medford location and then in Albany when I first moved north a year and a half ago. At both of those locations I have always been satisfied with the customer service and quality of work being done on my vehicle.  This all changed when I moved to Eugene a year ago.   Since that time I have had nothing but bad experiences with Costco tires.  To begin with, the tire department almost never answers their phone making it nearly impossible to get an appointment for basic maintenance.  The last time that I brought my car in for tire rotation without an appointment I was told it would take 2 and a half hours.  It ended up taking them 4 and a half hours and the technicians were extremely rude to me when I came back to check in. As you can imagine, I was not looking forward to my next maintenance appointment.  After my last experience there was no way that I'd go back without an appointment.  I tried calling to set one up nearly 10 times in a single day before I gave up and called the manager.  He was very nice and explained that he had recently transferred from the Albany store and was working on all of the issues that I mentioned above.  He even said that his own wife was fed up with the Eugene store and much preferred Albany.  He helped me set up an appointment, which for me was a last chance for the Eugene store. I showed up early to my appointment, hoping this would speed things along, but alas this was too optimistic.  An hour and a half later they called my phone and left a message explaining that the alignment was out and my tires were extremely worn and needed replacing immediately.  As a result, they were refusing to rotate my tires.  I had known my tires needed replacing within the next few months, but something seemed off. When I went into the tire center to pick up my car, they insisted that I replace the tires that day, and even seemed irritated when I asked for my keys.  While I waited, I overheard the woman in front of me explaining to her kids that they had to come back and had to wait yet again because they had put the wrong tires on her car. Based on the way I had been treated, I was extremely suspicious of what I'd been told and insisted that they return my keys.  Lo and behold, a week later when I got a second opinion at Les Schwab, not only was I treated much better, but I waited less than half the time.  They told me that my alignment was only slightly off, nothing serious, and the tires had a couple of months left on them, exactly as I'd thought. I don't know if the Costco technicians after just incompetent or if they thought they could take advantage of me and up their sales because I'm a woman.  Either way I'm absolutely disgusted and will not be returning for future vehicle maintenance.  This kind of chauvinistic bullshit is unacceptable.  I consider myself lucky to have had a Dad that taught me not to fall for this kind of blatant sexism.  Ladies, don't waste your time at the Eugene Costco.  You will be treated better and won't be fed a load of bullshit in Albany or Medford.  And if that's too far away for you, I highly recommend the Les Schwab on River Road. read more

Horrible service. Two months after buying brand new tires I got a nail in one and it was not salvageable. I took it into Costco where I bought them and they told me they order a new tire and for the next 10 days I could drive with the nail in, but it may explode. Or drive on my spare 80 miles a day. Go to Les Schwab or a local tire sales place, they treat their customers much better. read more

Reviewing mostly because there are so many 1 star reviews, and I for sure had a much better experience than one stars. I had a flat in my tire due to running over a nail. All other places were closed, as it happened on a weekend. Thankful for Costco, they took me in the same day and fixed it immediately for probably half the cost of what other places would charge. Just thought I'd share my input, because it was a good one and happened relatively recently. Perhaps I got lucky, but knowing Costco, I really think they strive for excellence in their employees. So hopefully things have turned around since some of these other 1 star reviews were written. read more

Argh, I wish I had paid attention to the other 1 star rating. We get there bright and early for 4 tires. We already had a printed estimate and are told it would be 2 hours but they qould call if they were done early. We shop and waste time in Costco for 2 hours 15 min. We come out to get our groceries in our car and go but, and lo and behold are car hasnt even been worked on yet. But, he says he will do us a favor and get our car in next. That it would be another 45-60 min. Whattt? If you plan on getting tires in the future at Costco, you may want to rethink your options. read more

Terrible Terrible Terrible service. Not enough staff, too slow. I went there today and stood in line - 6 ahead of me and 2 at the counter. After 20+ plus minutes not a single transaction was completed. I went back to work and called several hours later. Did not answer phone, bounced back to main store recording twice and disconnected the third time. I give up! read more

No complaints. My tires were special order and I had to wait 10 days for them to arrive but this was not a problem. New set of Michelin's installed for $210 less than Schwab house brand. Not really knocking Schwab here either because they've been good to me in the past but...a good deal is a good deal! read more

I should have done a review months ago!! Our family grew up with Les Schwab's and we never went any where else. That ended last fall when my Dad bought tires at Costco and convinced me to buy tires there also. We both had excellent service and are very happy with the price we paid for tires. They even put stickers in my window reminding me to have my tires rotated! Great service, great price, great choice!! Thank you guys!!! read more

I stopped getting my tires at Costco. I couldn't believe it when I pulled up for them to check the pressure in my tires, they asked me what I wanted the pressure up to. I told them whatever they are suppose to be at. The tire technician evidently doesn't know, so I had to look and tell him. Last set of tires I purchased from them. Also, they always have only one person working the counter and usually more than one person waiting. Takes too long. Just got a new set elsewhere. read more

We called a few times to ask about tires. No one ever answered. So we looked online and they had the tires we wanted. We went here to get tires and they have them in stock but can't mount them til next week. What's the point of buying new tires if they can't mount them for a week?? So we tried setting up an appointment and were told they do not do it by appointments. When we ask led why they are so busy they said because the appointments come first. Weird scenario. Not sure what's going on. Maybe they don't get the tires in until next week? So they can't mount them til then. But they told us they had them. Too many conflicting stories. Anyways the price was similar to most other tire shops and not nearly as big of a hassle at other places. read more
