Probably the better les Schwab in the area but they keep leaving stuff behind after getting work done. This time I realized after months of wondering what was rattling under my car was a caliper hanger that was jammed into the spring of one of my struts. Hopefully no permanent damage was done. Guy was honest! Didn't charge for a look Inspected my tires and brakes, told me I have dragging calipers but that I'd have to take it to a full service shop to get it fixed. He also gave me a print out of each tires condition and talked it through with me and answered my questions even though I didn't understand a lot of what he was saying. Only one brake pad went bad out of 4 tire???They do not stand behind their work, dishonest crooks. Thought they were doing me a favor by trying to cut me a deal on shoddy work they should fix! I'm from out of town and needed a repair on my tire due to low air pressure. Came in at 5:30pm and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. I don't know if I've ever had a bad experience with any Les Schwab location. This one is no different. Fast and efficient service, very friendly and professional staff. (Especially fast if you make an appointment, pro tip!) Yeah, it's annoying having to wait for your car to get worked on sometimes, but it's necessary. They'll always do a free pressure check and air fill for you on the fly, which was especially helpful to me when I lived in the country and my tires went through it. I think the prices are fair, too. They give a lot back to their community. Oh, and the popcorn is back now that we're into a later phase of the pandemic. Popcorn is back. Nature is healing. ;-) read more

I suspected a slow leak in one of my tires, and although there was a considerable wait had I opted to hang around for them to fix it, when I opted instead to attend to that some other day, a guy very promptly checked and adjusted the pressures in all of my tires, with no wait at all. He was polite and courteous and apparently I don't have a slow leak. So all's good and I left very satisfied. read more

Went to an automotive repair shop right down the street - they quoted me $1100 for a complete back brake repair. I thought that sounded extreme so I took my car to Les Schwab and the total was $636. With guarantee etc. please please get 2nd or even 3rd opinions if you feel that your being taken advantage of. read more

I once saw a guy who had just got 4 new tires on his pickup and he went around a corner and his wheel fell off.they forget to tighten lug nuts!! that white shirt run to you is all BS . read more

My battery died and I ran a test on it using my own device and it said my battery was completely dead and needed to be replaced. I got towed into Les Schwab at about 3pm and told them I needed a new battery and they told me they'd check it out. Called me back at 5:40pm saying they tested it and its completely fine and recharged it and I'd be good to go. Came in the next morning and got into my car and the battery was dead. They apologized and ran another test and said the battery was, and low and behold, dead and incapable of holding a charge. Making me question if they ran one to begin with, 18 hours wont ruin and a "perfectly good" battery. Then they said since its not the first warranty I've used on car batteries with Les Schwab, my last battery made it 23 months, I would have to pay 60% of battery cost plus price increase since 2022, $120. Horrible experience, never gone anywhere but Les Schwab but will make sure I don't return to the Eugene 18th street one, the one in West Salem treats customers much better and works more efficiently. I also believe they were trying to make it out of my 2 year warranty before replacing my battery if they had tested and charged my battery after the first time I came in. What's the point of a warranty if I pay near full price because I used it for a second time? EDIT: They also told me they were going to test my alternator the first time I came in, the second time I asked what they got from my alternator and they said they were incapable of testing alternators, then the person who did my checkout told my they tested my alternator and it was fine. Also after I left there were 2 lights on my dash on that weren't the day before, my traction and check engine light. All I needed was a battery change and they managed to charge me while under warranty, continuously lie to me about small things, and leave my car in seemingly worse condition than it came in. Mixed reviews for Les Schwab tires. I always appreciated their free flat repair service, and used it several times. Les died in 2007, and some say their customer service has converted to a profit driven business model. I once took in a pickup for snow tire installation, and was informed my control rods needed replacing. I deferred, and asked my trusted mechanic. He said the control rods were fine. A friend who is a Schwab employee told me that the shop managers share in the repair profits. A relative purchased an inexpensive trailer tire at Schwabs in Winnemucca, and asked for his tire warranty sheet. The employee said they did not warranty inexpensive tires. When reminded that the employee was standing under a banner that stated "If we can't guarantee them, we won't sell them", he begrudgingly got his written warranty. At the relatives coffee clatch, the old boys were surprised that it wasn't obvious that Les Schwab was not the same since "the old man died". I busted a Firestone tire about Christmas 2022, and left it with Les Schwabs on River Road. An employee called to say the sidewall was ruptured, the tire was not repairable (which would have been a free patch job) but fortunately they had a Bridgestone takeoff of the same size and tread pattern (?) they could sell me for $125. I agreed. When I picked up the truck, I saw no Bridgestone tire, but what looked like my original busted " unrepairabe" Firestone that had been patched at a cost of $125. Caveat emptor. read more

Les Schwab has always been a very reliable tire store. They don't happen to sell the brand of tire that I like or if they did sell it, they would sell it at a much higher cost that I can get from another vendor. I did purchase studs from them at a cost of nearly $1300 and they have gladly mounted them at no charge. When I went to go back to have my studs taken off and my mounted and balanced summer tires put back on they wanted to charge me a fee. I wasn't so worried about the fee, but just the fact that Les Schwab's policy is usually that they do this for no charge. The manager there, Joey explained to me that he's going to charge me every time when I come in and have, my studs taken off and tires put back on that I did not purchase from them. I called every other Les Schwab in Eugene Springfield and everywhere else and they said there's no charge if they're mounted and balanced. It appears that the East 18th Les Schwab is operating under a different set of rules. Not a real big deal, but I was a little disappointed. read more

Extremely disappointing service, took over 4 hours to change two tires. They had had to get them in a city 20 minutes away so I am unsure why it took over 2 hour to get them back to the shop before they even started to install them. If you feel like waiting hours for a job, this is the place to go! read more

Would give ZERO stars if able (check my reviews as these are VERY rare). Had a leaking tire on the way to work this morning so stopped in at 8:00 AM. This place will have you wait for an hour, then when you inquire you find out it will still be a while. This nearly happened the last time I came in and they wanted 1.5 to 2.0 hours to wait for a tire ROTATION! Never again. They not only lost my brake and tire business, they lost my new wheels for the new truck I will be ordering in a couple months (but, they WILL be getting plenty of bad PR from me). BTW, you cannot schedule a tire going flat so this tells me that items like that are secondary. Keep your Free Beef and popcorn, I expect service and THAT is what you SOLD me on the set of tires and brakes I got from you. read more

Upon changing over my winter tires, Schwab informed me they found my brake pads completely worn down and my rotors in need of replacement by them for almost $600. Schwab also stated my all-season tires needed replacement soon. I decided to take my car to the VW dealership for an oil change and to confirm Les Schwab's recommended brake work, to which VW found was completely BS and that my brakes AND tires are actually completely fine. Which I figured, considering I purchased the car in March. Very disappointed in Les Schwab's attempts to scam a young woman like that. Les Schwab is the reason I don't trust mechanics. Come on guys, it's 2021, not 1975. PS: When I came back to my car, which they parked in the public parking lot, it looked like someone had hit my car. Huge paint scuffs down to the metal, marks from screws, and a partial imprint of a license plate. read more

Greeted before I could even completely pull into my parking spot and turn off my car. Came into the shop for a trip check. staff greeted me, walked me in, signed me up/in and had my keys and car pulled into the bay in less than 5 minutes. While my car was on the rack, they found everything looked good with the exception of one tire, it had begun to separate. Staff came in, and offered to show me while it was up and easily visible on the lift. Went over all the information they gathered and answered all my questions. Professional. Respectful. Bonus points bc they're surprisingly friendly even though they're literally running from place to place! Always have a good experience. read more

Staff are always rude and abrasive with the customers; Les would be appalled. Took our car in for a dead battery and the woman behind the counter told us it was an alternator; didn't even look at the car or ask questions. So glad I paid off our account with this company. You can get better tires and less attitude anywhere else. read more

My rating went down from a couple of years ago. Service is still good but my garage told me I had an unsafe tire and another that was wearing funny. Since I had only 41000 miles on a 70000 mile warranty, I took it back for a warranty on the unsafe tire. The attendant said there was nothing wrong, even after looking at a video and offered 4 new tires which were $30 per tire more expensive than a place out west 11th. The price was per tire not including installing etc. For a $35-40 warranty credit they lost a 45 year customer and a poor review. My apologies to Mr Schwab up in heaven. He made a great business that is not so any longer. read more

I went in for a tire rotation which took much longer than they had claimed. They told me as my car was up on the lift that it needs a rear drum brake repair, an axle repair, and axle alignment - a total of $506. I called my husband who knows about cars. He told me not to approve it. He scheduled for me to go to another car repair shop. This other car repair shop on 13th Ave. looked at the said concerns, drove it around and reported that the car is perfectly fine with no issues with brakes or axles. They charged me $25 for putting it on their lift. I used to like Les Schwab but they've just lost my business. read more

About a quarter to five in the afternoon I was getting ready to head back from Eugene to Corvallis. Crap. There are several Schwab Tire Centers in Eugene; I picked the closest one. It's not hard to install a plug, and I didn't want to drive with a nail in the tire. But it's almost closing time! Not only that, the Oregon Ducks game started at 5:00, and I'm sure the staff at least some of the staff wanted to get OFF WORK. I arrived about 4:58. No problem. I was directed to a bay, the technician took off the wheel, soaped up the nail,and started to pry it out. It was my lucky day. The nail had gone in sideways and was only stuck in the tread; there was no leak to plug. Hooray! I was sent back on my way with a smile. It's about time for me to buy new tires for the truck, and I think I will get them from Schwab. The independent shop I had been using closed one of its locations -- the one I was using. Now there isn't one in Corvallis. Schwab has two locations in Corvallis, and one is right near my house. They have shops all across the region, and their customer care warranty is great. I am SURE they have some technicians that aren't up to snuff. Perhaps they don't stay long. I'm satisfied. read more

Have to say, not happy at all with this business. Took my car in to them this morning to have a flat rear tire repaired. Was told I would have to buy 2 new front tires because the tread was gone on the front, and they won't fix the rear with the front tires like that. Ok, fine.. add two new front tires, and fix the rear. 1 1/2+ hours later tires are done. 9 hours later, guess what's flat again? So $190 later, same tire, still flat. Update 06/02/17: The following day I took the car to Goodyear, who actually fixed the flat, and told me that there was no sign of any repair having been made at all to the tire. So the odds of me returning to a Les Schwab for anything in the future are pretty much non-existant. read more

They talked over which package was best for her driving (just around town, no long distances) and didn't try to upsell her on anything. Wish I could give them zero stars. Bought tires there, and afterward the tire check light was on. Brought the car back so they could fix the problem and now there are FOUR alarm lights lit up on the dash and Les Schwab says they don't know what happened and can't fix the problem. Remember when simple transactions at Les Schwab were done with their great service and without the heavy sales pitch? Chalk up Les Schwab as another regional corporation who is following the trend of passing along value added tax ideas onto long time customers. Free services or inspections have the potential to deliver news of seemingly serious sounding, but inevitably expensive and unnecessary maintenance. Case in point-claiming I needed my front struts replaced for the happy tune of $500 when I asked them to install my winter tires, a free service. This situation happened to my mother earlier this year as well. Second example-getting a break check on a 3 year old car, being told that new brakes were needed, and quoting a price 2x as much as my trusted family mechanic, Sandpiper. (oops, did I just name drop?). Yes the service and work is still good, but I could do without the feeling I am being intimidated into making a fast and pricey decision by someone I don't know. Best to get a second opinion for any work, before you commit to Les Schwab's diagnosis and prices. read more

Quoted 75$ and 3 hours. The day I bring my truck in i get a call saying the quote was incorrect, its now $300 and they have to keep it overnight, I dont have a choice to get it back and return it in the morning because the axle is removed. They say they are at the "mercy" of the machine shop in town and will call me when its done. Fast forward to 330pm the next day. I CALL THEM checking to see when it will be done, they say cant find my name for 5 minutes, then apparently it IS done, they just have to test drive it to make sure all is well, they say to be there in half an hour. I show up at 5pm and my car is still on the hoist. No on has test driven it, its just sitting there. They say wait ten minutes. I watch my car drive out of the lot, 2 minutes later it comes back. Now im sitting here in the window, watching my car parked on the lot.... One employee is standing with my keys looking confused and two other ones, all talking hushed. They apparently "cant figure out the billing". So im still sitting here. I have always had a great experience at les schwab, this was atrocious and I will never be coming back to the 18th st location. read more
