We celebrated Mother's Day at Wally's yesterday. Each mom was treated to a glass of wonderful champagne and wished a Happy Mother's Day by numerous staff members. Reservations were honored in a timely manner even though the restaurant was packed. There were six of us and we sat at a high top table which I prefer because the chairs actually have backs. Service was outstanding and the food was fantastic as always. Two of us had the Caprese Sandwich with heirloom tomato, dijon-sun dried tomato pesto, arugula, basil, buffalo mozzarella, and chicken on ciabatta. Two of us had my favorite-Grilled Cheese with aged gruyere, gouda, shallot chutney, with bacon added on country bread. This is my favorite sandwich-anywhere! We also had a Truffle Eggs Benedict, and a Charcuterie Board with two cheeses and duck mousse. and an order of Truffle Fries with grated parmesan, truffle oil, and grated truffle. Everyone enjoyed their brunch. I even brought home half of my grilled cheese for lunch today! I love Wally's and that grilled cheese is one of my top 10 sandwiches in the city!

What isn't amazing about Wally's? From their amazing astronomically, mine boggling wine collection to the delicious food the amazing service and the amazing vibes without being pretentious. It's a really cool spot to go to happy hours. Always fun and I really do enjoy spending time here I've gone by myself and just sat at the bar and had a glass of wine and a little bite to eat. Wallys is one of those Places that you just can't go wrong at. I have not been to the Wallys in Santa Monica, but I'd like to try it. When you're conflicted as to what you like to eat the bartenders or your servers always have the best suggestions. I have never been steered wrong. Plus there's so much other fun stuff to do around Wally's. You cannot go wrong.

Wally's Beverly Hills is definitely a scene. Every time I've gone it's loud, crowded, and very "see and be seen." The vibe feels kind of transactional with lots of influencers, sugar-daddy energy, and people dressed to impress. It can come off pretentious, but honestly... it's still fun to go for drinks and small appetizers or to catch up with girlfriends. That said, the food is good and I've had a good time when I've gone. It's not somewhere I'd go for a chill dinner. Pubic Parking structure is right to the restaurant can easily be missed but plenty of parking. I've had their crudo, salads, pizzas, charcuterie boards but the truffle lentils really surprised me. It's comforting and delicious. I wana go back just for that dish.

We decided to have our company's holiday lunch and white elephant party at Wally's this year and just based on the appearance, the place looked pretty cool. I walked in and asked the hostess for my party and she said to go all the way to the end and turn right at the Christmas reef. The place is covered with wines all over the walls, a bar towards the entrance and these high tables set up in different sections of the restaurant. It looks very nice and the place was spotless. I end up in a hallway and ask another employee where my party was and he directs me to a room behind sliding doors. I slide open the doors and there's this gorgeous room decorated with wine bottles on the walls, white decorations and big candles on the tables. Our party ordered drinks and the menu was a prefixed 3-course meal that consisted of: Purple and blue salad - 2/5 It had too much vinegar in the salad Truffle Pizzetta - 5/5 This was the hit! Everyone liked it. This went fast. New York Strip 2/5 The steak was a little cold and rare. I didn't complain because some people liked their steak that way. Chicken Paillard - 2/5 This was ok. It was very soft but tasted like first class airplane food. Twice Fried Smashed Fingerling Potatoes - 5/5 This was so good! It came with house made ketchup that they made with cinnamon. Delicious! Toasted Vanilla Creme Brûlée 4/5 This was my favorite dessert. I love crème brûlée and they didn't disappoint here. Very good! Chocolate Fondant - 2/5 I'm not a fan of dark chocolate and this is that lol. Wally's Mojo - 4/5 The mix of vodka, pineapples and berries was on point! Nice and refreshing drink that had your boy feeling a little tipsy. I wanted two but my boss was there lol Overall, I pretty much only liked the pizza, potatoes, crème brûlée and the cocktail. It's a cool little spot but I'm not sure I'll be making my way back here again. There are a lot of other cool restaurants in Beverly Hills I'd rather dine at. OOO 3 out of 5 Afros

Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. Even if you're not trying to splurge, this place leans expensive -- but it's a perfect spot for a memorable date or celebration. The intimate atmosphere makes it feel cozy yet sophisticated, and I'm always drawn to the stunning wine wall. I've discovered some amazing wines here that I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. Pair a glass with a beautifully arranged charcuterie board, and you've got an experience that feels both indulgent and effortless.

Ben is excellent!!! He was attentive, kind and prompt. He radiates positive energy and gave us an excellent dessert recommendation which is the pistachio ganache 100% recommend!! I will be back again. Ambience is dim lit and relaxed. Love the wine cellar decoration

Food was delicious but unfortunately my friends and I had a very unpleasant experience. To start, we waited a long time to place our order despite the restaurant not being very busy. In addition, when one of my friends briefly opened her laptop for a work emergency, we were approached and told about a "no screen" policy. We tried to be understanding, though it was confusing to see children at other tables still using iPads. Lastly, as we were finishing our meal, one of the staff members cleared our plates even though we were not done eating. When we addressed it, he did not apologize and instead said he was "going to change the plate," even though we had no additional food coming. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and uncomfortable for us. Not only did we feel rushed, we felt disrespected. I highly recommended Wally's to my friends who were visiting from Indonesia only to receive such disappointment. food: 4/5 price: 4/5 ambience: 4/5 service: 1/5 (SERVICE HONESTLY IS SO BAD - i have not been to a high end restaurant that gives this kind of service before, smh)

I have eaten at the Wally's in Las Vegas and I was interested to see how the Wallys in Beverly Hills fared when a client invited me to lunch. Wally's is a huge space with its wine market and various tables along massive walls of wine. Excellent service and while they only have salads and some entrees for those gluten intolerant, I chose the CHICKEN SALAD DE LA MANCHA - escarole, chorizo, quince paste, piquillos, almond, olive, toasted-garlic + burnt-lemon dressing, manchego. Totally delicious from first bite to last. Coupled with a great glass of wine this was ample and tasty. Unlike many restaurants perhaps due to the space, there was not the loud noise that can mar enjoying the dining experience. Wally, you done well!

Two friends brought me here for my birthday and we were meeting a group of other people there almost like a meetup. When I walked in we told the hostess we were looking for the party of people. She says they at a table at the bar and went back to looking down at whatever was holding her attention. I almost got upset but I was buzzed and it was my birthday so negative Nancy wasn't going to ruin my night. Anyhoo we walk over to the bar area all of the tables are full so we don't know who's who but come to find out our tables were in another part of the restaurant. Once we were seated, drinks and conversations were flowing a time was had. I love the ambiance I mean it is a vibe. The food was okay I ordered the mushroom pasta. I'll definitely be back for drinks and vibes.

Stopped in for lunch on a layover... best choice ever. The prefix lunch is amazing so many great choices. Our server Jay was the absolute best. He had recommendations of what was good on the menu and his personal favorites. I got a Wally's martini- you get to customize to your liking- blue cheese olives, dirty, dry etc. We got the hamachi crudo, wagyu tartar, and soup of the day for first course. Second course we got salmon, King Durade Bouillabasse and Cresta de Gallo. All followed with a warm chocolate chip cookie with Pistachio gelato. What a fabulous lunch before we headed out on holiday. Thank you Wally's and a very special thanks to Jay for leading us through them menu and having a fabulous meal.

Wally's is such a vibe! Easily one of my favorite spots in LA. I came two Thursdays in a row during my trip, and each time was just as amazing. The crowd is effortlessly cool, the energy is great, and the scene is perfect for mingling, people-watching, and meeting some of LA's most interesting locals. The wine selection is insane. I've truly never seen anything like it. Whether you're a wine lover or just looking for a fun night out, Wally's delivers every time. The cocktails are top-tier, the atmosphere is buzzing, and you're basically guaranteed a memorable night. Love it here!

Now, the place is super small with weird seating. I like the dark vibe it has going though. The most frustrating part of it all? Servers came off super pretentious and would intentionally walk by your table without looking to avoid you asking them anything. Moreover, the place doesn't let you make many changes to your order. For example, if you ask for easy rice on the sushi, they will say no. If you ask for them to put the avocado on the side due to an allergy of one member of the group, they will say no. Our items came out SUPER slow, and this was after waiting a while for a table. The sushi is subpar - heavy on the rice and not enough fish. However, the coconut shrimp roll was good. That all being said, I'd go back and deal with it all again for the chicken sandwich and the burger. Both were a bit heavy on the bread in comparison to the protein, but delicious nonetheless.

Sean Brock (James Beard nominee and winner, "The Mind of a Chef" Season 2 host, "Chef's Table"…read moreSeason 6 featured culinary artist, among other highlights) has taken his Southern US cuisine to Hollywood in a recently opened restaurant. Darling takes some of Sean's favorite dishes, many of which are grilled, and adds an Asian fusion touch. Will it succeed? Time will tell, but we very much enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. The first two things you will notice when entering Darling is the large shade tree settled in the center of the lounge area and the Hi-Fi DJ booth pumping out the vibes. I really liked the decor, it set a casual tone to the fine dining. And the music jammed, from World to R&B to Jazz with a couple pop hits mixed in, it set an enjoyable atmosphere without distracting from the conversation my wife and a couple old friends were able to have. Favorite dish? It had to be the Deviled Egg topped with Bluefin Tuna. It takes a memorable dish from my childhood and turns it, well, not into something my mom would make but so much better! (Sorry, no photos of the dish, our eggs evaporated before I got to my camera). The Wood-Fired Oysters and the Rockfish (which my wife ordered) were also highlights. Any misses? I thought I'd enjoy the Dry-Aged Burger somewhat more than I did. The patty itself is very large and thick making it highly fat-forward on the palate. A little bit of acid, say, a couple slices of pickle and/or tomato would benefit the dish well. All in all, my friends and I very much enjoyed our evening at Darling. Highly recommended!

It has that classic Wolfgang Puck energy and a dining room that still feels special, with a steady mix of regulars and longtime fans. I usually start with the bread box, but it seems like when I dine there most people start the meal with the pizza and scones along with the bread box. The bread box is warm and simple in the best way, and the scones are light, buttery, and one of those signature touches that people always seem to order right away. It all sets a strong tone for the table. For pizza, the salmon pizza is really the signature and what the restaurant is most known for. It's delicate, flavorful, and very well balanced, and it stands out as one of the more unique items on the menu. The vegetarian pizzas are also a great option, especially with white or black truffle, which add a richer aroma and depth without feeling too heavy. They also offer a tasting menu, which the restaurant is known for, but it is very extensive and more of a long, multi-course experience than something I usually go for. For entrées, I'm usually between the pasta dishes and the Jidori chicken. Both are consistently well executed and reliable, and it really just comes down to what I feel like that night. One thing that really drives me a little crazy here though is when the waiter says not to order the same entrée as your date. It's something I've heard on multiple occasions and I honestly still don't really get it. It feels unnecessary because at the end of the day, I just want to order what I want to eat. Parking is always easy and convenient with street parking, nearby parking structures, or valet all available and simple to use. For dessert, the chocolate soufflé is a must, and the cookies are also really good. If you don't order dessert, on some occasions they will even send something complimentary to go, which is a really nice touch. The restaurant overall still has a strong presence, a loyal crowd, and a level of hospitality that feels polished but welcoming. It's not unusual to see Wolfgang Puck or Barbara around the room greeting guests, which adds to the experience. The only real downside has been occasional overbooking, including one instance with a long wait past reservation time, but that has been rare. Overall, it remains a polished, classic Beverly Hills dining experience with a few signature dishes that still make it worth visiting. Cool fact: Arnold Schwarzenegger is a long time patron.

They had the Easter bunny come to take photos with the kids and handed out eggs. Val was our server and was great, and Maya, who was helping her, was honestly amazing. She was so attentive and just always on top of everything. I don't think she stopped moving once the whole time we were there. She was constantly checking in, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and making sure everything felt smooth without ever interrupting the moment. The food was also so good, we loved the chilaquiles and the cinnamon roll was definitely a favorite. Everything came out perfect and the whole experience just felt easy and enjoyable. It's not often you notice a server assistant this much, but Maya really stood out she was so nice and sweet and made us feel welcomed. I would absolutely come back and would love to have them again.

This was the perfect choice. The weather was ideal for sitting outside. All of the wait staff doted on us, particularly our waiter Brian who treated the ladies like royalty. They absolutely adored him. The Terrace has the most unusual croque madam. I had to take a picture of it.

My husband and I found ourselves in Los Angeles last weekend for a matinee show in Inglewood and…read moredecided to have lunch nearby. Well, as you all know, nearby is sort of a misnomer when it comes to LA traffic. We made it on time to our reservation at Super Peach. Parking was easy as we used the Westfield structure. We popped up the escalator and Super Peach was right there, so we did not have to search the mall directory. We checked in a couple minutes late but the place was basically empty. We were seated in a booth and given menus. I went to wash my hands and returned to the booth. Our server was Ansley M. The menu is straightforward. It is sort of like a paired down menu compared to Majordomo, which I've frequented in the past. I was interested in the ssam so we ordered the short rib version ($92), along with the Korean fried chicken wings ($19), and the burnt cheesecake ($15)for dessert. The food arrived in spurts and towards the end was a tad slow. We asked for additional lettuce and kimchi. We had to ask for their house citrus ponzu sauce. We should have mentioned up front that we needed to leave by a certain time, but I honestly did not think our lunch would take almost an hour and a half and that it would take us almost 30 minutes to get to our next destination. But I should have known better, having gone to school in LA, that traffic is unpredictable even on weekends. The food was good. My husband really enjoyed the wings. I loved the short rib. The cheesecake was okay and took forever even though we asked to pack it up to go. We paid and left. They do not validate parking which was a bummer. We were told that Gelson's validated parking. We paid $5 in the parking garage. I think I'll use my Chase Sapphire dining credit elsewhere next time.
