This bagel spot is next to my house and we couldn't be happier! There is a large selection of cream cheese, like their new Dubai Chocolate and they are constantly filling the hot fresh bagels. I really enjoy their breakfast platters, like the western omelette and home fries. Their French toast platter is phenomenal as well, a must try. They do get busy, but don't let that scare you away. They have parking in the front and back plus, make an online order to skip the line THEN pick it up to the left door...they have an extension now that was built specifically for online orders. read more

Wally's Bagels in Long Island was hands down the best bagel I have ever had. Coming from Syracuse, where *I THOUGHT* we had some top tier bagels, this completely elevated my expectations. These bagels were so fresh, soft, and perfectly chewy. Not crunchy at all, just exactly how a bagel should be. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a rainbow bagel with salt, pepper, and ketchup. I had never done the salt and pepper with ketchup combo before, but my friend recommended it and I am so glad she did. It was incredible. I could not stop thinking about these bagels the entire weekend. We literally ended up going both days. The ambience was chill, exactly what you would want from a bagel spot. The customers were kind and friendly and the service matched that same energy. I am so grateful my friend brought me here and introduced me to what real, fresh bagels are supposed to taste like. I encounter this place and was so happy to be able to try these classic bagels in Long Island! They were so yummy, the bagel was not so thick neither which gave the perfect mix between bread and spread! I must say you should always suggest that they put less spread on your bagel cause believe me they are pretty generous about it, but their spread is definitely worth it! I'm tired of these places charging ridiculous prices. I've been here a few times and each time the price seems to go up. These places including this place all had signs "the prices for egg sandwiches have gone up due to the increase for the price of eggs", ok that's fair but the problem is they never lowered the price to reflect the lower egg prices in fact the prices just keep going up because people seem willing to pay it. They seem to just keep inching the price up to test what people will pay, $9.24 for a bacon egg and cheese is ridiculous, oh you get a "free" tiny coffee. I could make peace with it if the sandwich seemed worth it but they definitely skimped on the eggs too. read more

When we first moved in the neighborhood from Queens, we were definitely missing great bagels. Our neighborh told us about Wally's and said it's handsdown, the bagel spot. We've ordered here before but I actually went in-person today for the first time! I picked up half a dozen bagels, 1/2lb of cream cheese, 1/4 lb of lox spread plus a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. The bagels were chewy, light and still a little warm. Definitely tastes like it was fresh out of the oven. Cream cheeses were light, creamy and tasted really fresh and their store baked muffins were moist, light but had a lot of chips in it. I'll definitely bring back. Things to consider: - Went here around 9:30 AM and there was a huge line but the line does move quick. - When ordering bagel sandwiches or other items, do expect to wait 5-7 min for their crew to build so, I stuck to easy to go items. - Order in advance so you don't have to wait in the store line. Tasty bagels but the cream cheese was like nothing I've ever seen before. I took off over 2/3 of cream cheese that was put onto my bagel. It looks like they took an entire tub of cream cheese and plopped it onto my bagel, closed it up, and then sold it to me. I understand bagel shops tend to overload the cream cheese but this was just beyond. It wasn't even an attempt of a smear. read more

Saturday I ordered egg whites with spinach on a whole wheat wrap. I was shocked when I opened the wrap. Nothing, one little egg white and about three to four pieces of spinach. I was so impressed with Wally's signature bagels and sandwiches, I couldn't wait to get back to NY to experience one of Long Island's gems. I started with a breakfast order like a true New Yorker. I ordered the Bialy bagel with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese toasted with butter and Mayo. The Bialy was made famous on the television show "The Sopranos", so when I saw they made it at Wally's, I went straight for it. It was absolutely delicious. Every bite into the soft and crispy bagel with the perfect amount of butter and Mayo on the bacon egg and cheese was beyond good. Then I had to order one of their Hero sandwiches, the Turkey and Swiss cheese with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and extra Mayo. When I tell you this sandwich was made with love the first time, and this visit was no different. Highly impressed with their quality of bread and using the best Boar's Head meats and cheeses. My search up until Wally's was mostly in vain and couldn't understand what everyone was hyping up. Wally's bagel is 10/10 the best place for bagels. They offer tons of bagel options with a myriad of shmears to put on top of them. We went with toasted bagels with jalapeño / veggie cream cheese and we savored every single bite. It set the tone for the rest of the day. On top of that, they have a full breakfast menu with breakfast sandwiches, coffee, muffins, etc. The interior is cramped and the AC unit was leaking water on me, but honestly I totally forgot about all of that after the first bite. There will be a short line indoors on the weekend which testifies to the quality of the bagels that this place offers. There is no room for dining, so grab and go is the only option. I love the new pick up storefront which makes a busy mom's life so much easier. We recently had a bunch of BECs (bacon, egg and cheeses) and SECs (sausage, egg and cheeses). They were exactly what you want them to be. The hubby especially loved the maple flavoring in the sausage. Always a great day when Wally's is involved. read more

They also have platters. There's no sense of greasiness or aftertaste -- a sign that the grill is kept clean. Service: 5/5 - The place gets really busy but they have a bunch of people working behind the counter. They move people in/out quickly. They multi-task well. For example, while the food is cooking they come over and ring you up and get your coffee. This way as soon as the food is done, you're out the door. The team is friendly and they seem to know a lot of the "regulars." Cleanliness 4/5 - No issues. The kitchen is in full display. So you can really see that there is nothing improper going on. Food, like the hash browns is kept refrigerated until use. Atmosphere 2/5 - This is not a restaurant and there is no seating. You order and you're on your way. Tight quarters. Value 5/5 - Not too expensive. Way cheaper than going to a diner or restaurant. Parking: 4/5 - Big lot but the shopping area can get very congested during the day. Overall 4/5 -- All of my visits so far were consistent and good. This, and the fact that they open at 5am - 7 days a week is a big plus for me. Ive tried Wally's a few times now and think they are overhyped. I ordered SEC on an everything bagel and it was extremely salty. I was picking off the bagel salt in order to eat it. I then came back again a month later and ordered a SEC on a sesame bagel and the sandwich was bland. My boyfriend ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and it came with a mountain of cream cheese on it and had to smear almost half of it off. They are reasonably priced however I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

I'm simple so I ordered a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese and it was good. I mean comparing the bagel to crappy store bought bagels, it tasted fresh and had a good texture. The real winner was the scallion cream cheese because I've never had that before in my life. My only reason for not giving them 4 stars is because my bagel was cold. I guess I assumed it would have been warmed up but my friend said that's an additional request. Bagels are really good! Omelette was okay, I just didn't like that my avocado was warm and didn't look fresh. I wish they didn't just throw a bunch of pepper on one side and not the other, instead of mixing it in. Home fries really good also. Wally's has crafted one of the best bagels and that alone is reason to come here, but when they make them into a breakfast sandwich, things get special. Why stick to a BEC or SEC when you can have a PEC? What's the P stand for? Why Pastrami of course! Yes, these guys actually have a pastrami, egg, and cheese and YES it is the truth. Always a long line here - usually out the door! But turnaround is pretty quick. The bagels are super soft and fresh - easy to chew and not tough to eat especially for those who may have weaker teeth. If you get cream cheese on your bagel they definitely don't skimp out and lather a lot of it on.
