Hidden gem in Deer Park! Found this spot when I had to get fingerprints done for a new company I work for (they are right next to each other). Ever since that day, I've been a happy customer! The shop has lots of seating, and it is very roomy. They also have a good selection of bottled drinks, house iced tea, coffee, tea. The bagels and rolls are delicious, and yes, soft! read more

A good bagel today and always. The staff is attentive and eager to please. The variety of add ons is enough for the average customer.

Excellent bagels, so fresh, bacon egg and cheese was so good! Always people were so friendly and kind 10/10 recommend!

I am so glad I found this place. I was going halfway across town for Sunday bagels when I realized this place was just down the street from me. I gave them a try and I was not disappointed. Bagels are fresh and taste great and menu is very reasonably priced. But what really stands out is counter people demeanor and customer service. Very friendly and sweet. read more

Great bagel sandwiches, and the owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast with our 20 month old granddaughter and she loved the food and the people watching lol. read more

First time coming into this place. I am not from the area and the food was DELICIOUS!!! Will definitely be back soon. It's a hidden gem.

Love this place. Staff is always so nice. Like family. Food is delish. The owner Paul is the sweetest guy. Our neighborhood place.

The lady who took my order SUPER NICE and attentive. I order Bagels to go and she was nice to ask me to cut them and to wrap them, so that they stay fresh. I wish more places were as considerate and attentive. By the way.. They have all the creamers I like for my coffee. read more

Great service. Food was prepared well. Nice ambiance. Will definitely be back again soon.

We go there every morning for breakfast. We also take out a lot for breakfast and lunch. The shop is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is very good. You can eat there or take out. You will not be disappointed! Family owned and they live in the neighborhood. read more

I'm sad to say this bagel shop left me wanting more. I gave it a couple of tries, and on my first visit it wasn't bad but it was nothing to write home about - decent bagel and tasty veggie cream cheese. Unfortunately today's visit missed the mark entirely - my whole wheat everything with veggie cream cheese seemed so skimpy and sad! I asked for toasted and I could tell that it was but only for a hot second, leaving most of the bagel cold and definitely not warm and toasty to the point where it gets the cream cheese all melty. Maybe it was the lackluster toasting that made it seem chewier than usual but it just did not taste fresh, it was bland and hard to chew. The veggie cream cheese I enjoyed the first time was desperately lacking in veggies, I actually thought I may have gotten plain cream cheese but no, there were a couple of pepper specks but again, very bland. Check out for yourself in the picture, and honestly maybe this bagel is just fine and I'm just spoiled by the big and hearty bagels of Brooklyn! The staff was very nice, efficient and friendly on both visits - these stars are for them! read more

Hands down the best bagel place in Long Island, I don't care what anyone says, this place is amazing. Their bagels are soft and so flavorful. Their egg sandwiches? F**king amazing. I highly recommend going here. They're so underrated and lines arent long. read more

Hot, steamy bacon egg & cheeses right next to the train tracks. Watch the train go whistling by, while you bite into your bacon egg & cheese, or your everything bagel, and see everyone in the windows. Not bad at all. read more

First time here and definitely the last time. Bagel with lox cc tomato and onion. Where's the lox?!?! And a smidge of cream cheese. My brother got a ham egg and cheese with a tiny slice of ham. Bagels are so small too! I just moved out to Suffolk and I'm still searching for a solid bagel spot..Smh read more

Received GrubHub order. French fries were rock hard, no ketchup as requested. No straw for ice tea. So annoying

Avenue is definitely one of the best bagel shops around here. Everything I've had has been delicious. My boyfriend insists we go here if we're grabbing breakfast. One of the young women who's name is escaping me, even made me lox spread even though it wasn't out! That was really impressive to me, customer service-wise. It isn't always the quickest, but absolutely worth the wait. read more

Amazing breakfast sandwiches and the best bagels in the area in my opinion. My go-to is a turkey sausage egg and cheese on a toasted jalapeño bagel (their jalapeño bagel is AMAZING, put whatever you want on there and you'll be happy). They also always have great service and are really friendly, I go here whenever I have the chance. read more

I was so looking forward to getting some of the great Long Island bagels that I grew up with. Sadly disappointed that these bagels weren't even as good as the lousy bagel I get now in California. What the heck happened???? read more

Not a fan of this place, at all! My bagel was ice cold, and hard as a rock! Won't be coming back, especially when there are other amazing options in the area ( i.e. Wally's and First Class). read more

Not sure what everyone's complaining about. This is definitely one of the best bagel shops on Long Island. I like to call it, my hidden gem. Everyone is extremely friendly there. The grill is a little slow, but HEY! Slow and steady wins the race. Smell what I'm steppin in? So when you get there, place your order, watch some news 12 and wait for your delicious sandwich to come out, and enjoy! read more

EXCELLENT! Always fresh. Love the vegatable cream cheese. Coffee is delicious! We go there all the time!

Every single time I come here (which is at least twice a week) every sandwich is perfect and the bagels are the best you'll ever have.

Many thanks for going above and beyond with a wonderful sandwich spread during a very difficult time. Much appreciated!

great bagels! they were fresh when i bought them and SO delicious! they were even good when i brought them up to MA and gave them to a friend. still tastes fresh the next day! i give it 4 stars because when i went, the workers weren't very friendly and the choices of bagels wasn't very impressive. read more

This is the last time we go to this place. Ordered 2 egg sandwiches today and SPECIFICALLY asked them to make sure the eggs were scrambled (because they never are) and I don't even think they tried. The yolks were just short of runny. This is not the first time and we have been way more than forgiving! One time we called in our order and again... SPECIFICALLY told them we had a train to catch. We got there and our sandwiches weren't even started. Had to wait 20 minutes for them to make 5 egg sandwiches. Well... We missed our train. If you know Deer Park trains, then you know we had to wait another hour to catch the next one. Go to First Class Bagels on Deer Park Ave. They know how to not only write an order but how to make an order correct! It's worth the extra mile! read more

Avenue Bagels - Do these look scrambled??? - Bagels Near Me - Deer Park, New York

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars, because giving them one star is being generous. This is seriously the last time I will ever give Avenue Bagels my money. They screw up my bagel EVERY TIME and this is truly mind blowing considering the fact that they specialize in bagels.... Let me start by saying that if you like the idea of having dirty money touching your food before you eat it, then this is the place for you. Without fail, the people who handle the customer's money are the same people who are touching your food whilst wearing the SAME GLOVES!! This is a health hazard! Mark my word, someone is going to get sick from this place. Oh and if you want your bagel toasted, you're going to have to go somewhere else because they won't do it for you. I'm not sure if they even have a toaster at this point, since they refuse to toast my bagel. Do you want home fries with your egg sandwich? Well too bad because apparently they don't have potatoes either. Is this a joke? But the best part about this place is it's staff. The owner is an arrogant, rude, pig. And his staff are no better, they are completely incompetent of making a simple bagel. With the exception of the young blonde girl and the woman in her mid 40's with brown hair. They're really sweet and do a good job. read more

Love this bagel store. Go here almost every morning befor work. Cheap and fast and good sandwichs and bagels. As well as coffee and the house ice tea is awsome read more

The bacon is garbage, thin, cheap and tasteless! Why do you think the breakfast is cheap! The cold cuts are the lowest grade money can, they deliberately water down the coffee and the bagels got smaller the. I know what I'm talking about. I ate there for months everyday until I realized my first lunch sandwich meat was not round but triangular shaped??? And for $7.00 you needed to look for the meat! They have lost so much business because they sell cheap crap! If you like receiving holy communion then you will love the paper thin bacon! read more

They use microwave bacon for their egg sandwiches. Its thin and not crunchy, not good. Their bagels are nothing special also. Half the time I went in there and they have hardly any bagels to sell. I stopped going there because of that. read more

Ordered a Reuben sandwich from here and it was probably the most pathetic Reuben I've ever had in my entire life. The sandwich first of all was super tiny, wasn't even on rye bread and had such a small amount of Swiss cheese that I couldn't even taste it. There was barely any sauerkraut at all on it. I'm just so beyond disappointed because the girl at the counter promised me it was a very good sandwich and it was terrible. read more

First time here and I JUST missed the morning commute rush (fortunately). Very good buttered plain bagel (90 cents toasted, $1.40 buttered) and it fills you up even if you don't add eggs or make a sandwich. The staff was very friendly and the shop itself is kept in a neat fashion. read more

avenue bagels is the worst.!!!!!! there customer service stinks. They need to get there heads out of there asses and figure out how to run a business. I called them grieving and asking them to get something together for my aunts funeral. they gave me the run around, all different baskets all different prices! first they said they could deliver it and than 2 days later when I was expecting it to be there the manager who by the way has no clue how to deal with people says oh we dont deliver unless you order in advance....I said I did order 2 days in advance. He told me that was my problem cause they didnt have the order written down and oh well!!! I think you all suck!!!!!! I for 3 days thought my order would be going to my family and than at the last minute had to order something else... thanks for the hospitality at such a difficult time....yeah right!!!! dont go to this bagel place, like I said it sucks read more
