I've been going here for about a year now for my morning coffee and occasional bagels/muffins. However, since my husband "discovered" them through searching for a good bagel shop it has become our Sunday morning spot for his bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. Sometimes we try something different but always go back to the original. Even when it's extremely busy the staff is always friendly and try to be as fast as possible. Excellent bagel place. Long Island has a lot a good ones, and their bagels are a little bit better. They make great sandwiches too. Even in the late afternoon, you're getting a bagel you'd swear was just recently made. Prices are on par with everywhere else around. 4.5 stars. read more

This very busy (railroad station) bagel shop is a must!. The owner is second generation from a Brooklyn bakery family. These guys still make all their delicious baked goods in house. In addition to the best sandwich ever you must try the apple turnover. I recommend taking your goodies, sitting at one of the communal tables and chatting up a local while the world heads off to work. It's not fancy but friendly in spades. read more

Awesome place. We got the egg sandwich with bacon and cheese, which was awesome. Bagels were super high quality, as well. The store itself has a fairly overwhelming menu, and the place is certainly chaotic, so I'd recommend knowing what you order as you walk in. Coffee options are limited (no espresso or anything like that), but maybe that's a good thing given their expertise in bagels. Definitely would recommend! read more

Sunday morning line was out the door and down the block so we thought this was a good sign and it was. The line moves fast, once inside know your order. They write it down and pass it off to the cook. I got the Early Bird club on a bagel. The hubby got a regular ham sandwich. Everything was tasty and made as requested. I have never been disappointed when ordering from Railroad Bagel Express! I have gotten bagels here several times and I finally captured a pictured since I wasn't in a rush! Their bagels are delicious, fluffy and a very good size! Came here on New Year's Day for a quick bite for the road. It was super busy but I didn't wait too long. They had lots of options on the menu, but I simply just wanted simple breakfast. I ordered 3 breakfast sandwich in total. Two sausage/egg/cheese and 1 bacon/egg/cheese(Swiss). The sandwiches came out pretty fast and the price was very decent for how big the sandwiches was. I've been coming here a long time, and I thought it was fitting that this store would be my first review. There's simply no place in Suffolk County that gives you a fluffy bagel/roll like Raildroad. Great service, always quick and easy even when busy, and a very generous portions. Recommend this place to even the most avid egg sandwich enthusiasts and regardless if you're a sausage or bacon egg sandwich person, both are amazing. read more

So I had a coupon for bagels and I go here. No other reason, but thank you universe. The bagels were amazing! I've gotten sesame bagels with 5 seeds, but these were covered! Yum. They don't skimp. Every bagels was covered with the designated toppings and they stayed on. BUT the kicker.. they the in a corn muffin. I'm not a corn muffin person, but this converted me. THE best corn muffin I ever tasted. Moist.. hints of vanilla and citrus, very mild corn flavor, great consistency. I'm a huge fan now. Cant wait to try other things there. read more

Egg sandwiches are good, and their bagels have a nice texture. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. Their "everything" bagels are about 90% sesame seeds. I've now ordered extra crispy bacon two different times, and each time, the bacon is so underdone that there's still uncooked spots that I have to pick off my bagel and throw away. This last time, I threw away half the bacon they put on the bagel. You'd think when my husband asks them to practically burn it, they'd understand what that means, so I guess they just don't care about getting customers to come back. read more

Right when you walk in the employees are very personable and welcoming. The menu is filled with delicious options. I was on my way to Robert Moses Beach from Westchester and I really wanted deli sandwiches. This place has really easy and quick services! They have so many classic sandwiches with their own custom names that reflect the theme of the business. The sandwiches and bagels were made fresh.
