First class is an apt name for this place, because these bagels were delicious. From bacon egg and cheese to just simple cream cheese and butter, the portions have been generous and delicious, but most importantly the bagels have always tasted fresh even when showing up a little late. Coffee ain't half bad either, and a large iced is enough to fuel a jet plane! Service can be a little slow, but the quality is worth the extra wait. This is my go to bagel place in the area Their everything egg bagels are on point -- hits the sweet spot between a bagel and a pastry. Perfect with some scallion cream cheese + lox + lettuce + tomatoes + creamy onions + cucumbers + fresh squeezed lemon + small pinch of pepper.... delicious every single time. The whole wheat everything flagels are fresh always and also my go to flagel. This bagel shop seems to be the one place that doesn't skimp on toppings for bagels- plenty of seeds! This use to be my family's favorite bagel spot, however lately they have not been as good as they could be. The last few times we ordered bagel sandwiches they were extremely dry. I ordered a sandwich with turkey, mayo, and lettuce and the bagel had almost no mayo on it and very little turkey. They used to be so generous with their toppings. The bagels were not fresh either. Normally sandwiches come with side salad or pickle yet nothing here. In addition workers were mopping while people are eating (I get they have to clean however it made the place reek bc the water was dirty) and shaking out the dirty floor mats next to customers! We keep trying to give this place another chance but just end up disappointed. read more

I love this place when they get my order right. Today I ordered salami, turkey, and cheese on a roll with mustard. Instead I got salami, turkey and ham on a roll with mustard. It's really annoying because I work in Queens and look forward to having the lunch that I ordered. I also, do not like ham. It's always the girl with the black hair that gets my sandwhich order wrong. Their sweetened iced tea is amazing though. -- Update: Ordered an everything bagel toasted with butter and got an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. -- Where can I go to get the correct food I order? The sandwiches here are mid to begin with. Against my better judgement, I stopped in to grab lunch and see A HUGE COCKROACH crawling around in the glass case next to open food in the middle of the afternoon. Since our favorite deli (Bagel Factory Farmingdale) closed decided to give this a try. Pleasantly surprised with the interior - large variety of goodies! Soups, sandwiches, bagels, sweets, etc. Rating was pulled down a bit because we felt the bagels were not traditional NY style that has a nice crust shell outside but nice chewy inside. Plus their "everything" bagel did not have salt outside (bummer). The spread we got was lite veggie tuna could've used just a bit more seasoning for that oomph. Another sandwich we shared was the grilled chxn/pesto/sundried tomato with cheese panini. Size was gigantic and flavors spot on for this creation but wished they used bread usually used in paninis (too doughy and did not hold together). Overall, good place but for now I guess the search for great bagels continues. read more

Disappointed - I called and ordered a panini- they were out of the bread so I got it on a wrap- it was ICE COLD and no balsamic dressing that I asked for. It was not busy so hard to understand why it was so wrong. Upsetting to spend $15 on a lunch that was not enjoyable. Do Better First Class! read more

Bagels, Deli Sandwiches, Pastries this place has an abundance of these delicious offerings, so many in fact that the store's counters, display cases and inventory consumes most of the restaurant's floor space leaving very little room for the few tables jammed in the tiny dining area. The quality is above board as well as the service, the line does move a little slow as others have stated but they get it right the first time and it's fresh and delicious. Update: came back after Kieth, the owner private messaged me. I must say, experience is MUCH different. They don't roll your eyes when you have a special request, staff is friendly and sandwiches are sooo good (but they always were) I'll have to come back for lunch and see what it's like bc that's were I get picky lol Glad I can come back here and have a great experience Old review: Customer service is horrible. I've been here a couple of times and the food and service have always been solid. I've never had a bad experience here so I don't get all the negative reviews. There's always a line but it goes pretty quickly. And as soon as my order is taken (cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and an egg bagel with ham and egg), it was ready about 5 minutes later. They were very courteous and prompt. But what about the food itself? With NY bagels, how can you go wrong? The cream cheese tasted creamy and fresh, made on prem. The ham and eggs inside that egg bagel was delightful. If I weren't trying to cut my carb intake, I can easily see myself making this place my daily breakfast spot! read more

Ugh!!! Second visit here and first was okay this time will be my last time. I placed my order and the guy took too long and the one bagel I wanted was taken by another customer who came after me. All I wanted was an egg everything bagel! Someone placed their order long after I did and received the last one. After looking forward to it and getting then getting no sort of response when I mentioned I placed my order before the other customer did is just horrible customer service! So beware of this place! It was my first time here for lunch with some co-workers the other day and my experience was half and half. They have a HUGE selection of bagels, cream cheeses, sandwhiches, paninis, and if you're looking for pasteries...this is your spot. They had tons of goodies all lined up behind the glass, and the best cheesecake from what I'm told. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwhich on a roll with bacon and melted cheddar which was pretty sandard but tasty. Each sandwhich comes with a side salad (mac, potato, coleslaw) which for $7.95 was pretty good. I was only able to each half and saved the other half for the next days lunch. My only gripe was the service, not that it was bad at all...the line got to be a bit long and the manner in which they service guests is not the most organized. Before leaving I has asked for a to-go box from one of the young girls behind the counter to which I recieved not one, but two eye rolls from her....not the best end to my lunch break, but I'm sure I'll make my way back for lunch. First visit here yesterday morning and the last. So disappointed because everything looked so good. I asked the girl at the counter if they had any french toast bagels and she said yes I will make you one (which I thought was odd but very sweet of her). I asked for very lightly buttered - which it was. I had $3.00 in hand and was shocked when she told me $4.00! Took my bagel to go in hopes this would be one of the best bagels for $4.00. I don't know what in the world she put on the outside of the bagel - tasted like oil with brown sugar - one greasy mess. First time eating here and the last time I'll order a bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was soft on the inside but a bit hard on the outside. As for the cream cheese, the taste was average but there wasn't much on the bagel for the price I paid. I expect minimal cream cheese on a bagel from 7eleven, not a bagel shop. Service was extremely fast (11am). I placed my order and in less than 2 minutes the cashier was ringing me up. Pleasant guy with a smile to match. So, I've known these guys for almost 2 years now and I feel like I'm part of the family. I've been to a lot of delis across the island and these guys are top notch. Now, maybe I am a bit unique because I actually take time out of my day to ask how they are doing and treat the guys/gals behind the counter like real people, but I can tell you that I'm on a first name basis with everyone and they always say hi when I walk in the door. When you live on Long Island, it's easy to just go from one deli to another. What's hard is finding the deli that you like with food and people that keep you coming back. Whenever I am in the mood for a bagel this is my go to place. I have been going here for years and have always had good experiences.

If you would like a side of E.Coli and Hepatitis then this is the place for you. Not one person was wearing gloves on a busy Sunday morning. I saw people in the kitchen and several people serving bagels behind the counter without gloves. It's a state mandated law!!! Put them on, it's disgusting!! Took 2 bites of my bagel because I couldn't get the thought of the guys not wearing gloves out of my head. Those 2 bites were bland, stale, and mediocre at best. Look at the other reviews. FYI...the website says they close at 9:00, but they close at 6:00 now, well actually they close whenever they want. I called at 5:33 to place an order and was told they were closing at 6:00 (and wouldn't take orders over the phone).
