If you would like a side of E.Coli and Hepatitis then this is the place for you. Not one person was wearing gloves on a busy Sunday morning. I saw people in the kitchen and several people serving bagels behind the counter without gloves. It's a state mandated law!!! Put them on, it's disgusting!! Took 2 bites of my bagel because I couldn't get the thought of the guys not wearing gloves out of my head. Those 2 bites were bland, stale, and mediocre at best. Look at the other reviews. This place is a disgrace! read more

This bagel place is good .. I don't know why the reviews are so poor based on the customer service. I have never had an issue with any service in here... Everyone behind the counter is always more than willing to help .. I loveeee grabbing food to go for all of my journeys in here .. This is my fav pre beach spot bc they have the best buffalo chicken wraps pre made in containers, they're pretty amazing... Also, the bagels are always fresh, never hard.. They have never messed up my order and I'm one of those... "Can you scoop it out for me?" People lol don't judge. Fan of their veggie and lox cream cheese... And their bialy mmm.. They have a wide variety of baked goods as well and lots of stuff that are pre made and put together for when you need stuff in a pinch! read more

Terrible Customer Service!!! I make the mistake of going back to this place because there food is pretty good, however it is very common for them to screw up our lunch orders. Every time I let them know that there was a screwup I get an arrogant response telling me I ordered wrong and the mistake is mine. They have yet to take any responsibility for the screw-ups or make any attempts to resolve it. I am done dealing with this place and the arrogance that any mistake is the customers fault. read more

I am not sure who and why few people noted this as best bagel place on Long Island .The bagels I got were soggy and tasted like stale bread. The coffee is nothing to brag about either. Given that it's a bagel and coffee place I would expect better bagels and coffee. read more

Awful! Chopped salads are a JOKE! I paid $37.50 for 2 of the worst chopped Salads ive ever had!!! Coworker said the same!!!! Charged for ingredients not even IN THE SALAD!! Going back to Emma's they blow these guys out of the water. Waste of money!! read more

I just paid $3.53 for a bagel with scallion cream cheese! The prices here have gotten to be ridiculous! Almost $4 for a bagel that's not even that great is absurd. I think I'll be sticking to Wally's from now on! read more

FYI...the website says they close at 9:00, but they close at 6:00 now, well actually they close whenever they want. I called at 5:33 to place an order and was told they were closing at 6:00 (and wouldn't take orders over the phone). Raced in my car and got there at 5:50 just to be told that they decided to close already. Saw another customer with the same situation. read more

Wowza, rude server meatheads who look alike, and Incredibly slow service. I would willingly go out of my way, even though this is down the block, to go to ANY other bagel place. They have a great selection of bagels, so this is a shame. But honestly, eggs and bacon on a toasted flagel. This shouldn't be a difficult order...they didn't give me the flagel, instead gave me the bagel AND they didn't toast it. Not to mention that the wait was outrageous...shouldn't be a line out the door and shouldn't be waiting more than 20 minutes on line. It's Long Island, give me a break. There are bagel shops by the dozen, so I'll be going elsewhere in the future. PS. shame though, because the bagel and the eggs and the bacon were pretty good! read more

I've been to this place more times than I care to recount. I haven't been in for a long while due to the prices, the attitudes of those at the register and the wait times, but I was in the shopping center picking up my dry cleaning and running late so I decided to chance it. I wish I didn't. Long wait time, par for the course (I wish I remembered the wait times when I walked in, I was thinking more about the prices which I decided to endure). My order- completely wrong. I ordered 2 sandwiches. He wrote it down and still got it wrong. $25 dollars and 20 minutes later I'm staring at food I didn't want. The only redemption was that for a change the guy at the counter was relatively friendly, meaning that he said "have a nice day" at the end of the transaction which is a rarity at this place. Never again. read more

The line was pretty intimidating but it moved relatively fast. There were multiple staff moving the line and keeping it going. They definitely never stopped working. The place is a good size and never got over crowded despite it being so busy. That's a huge plus for deli time. Nothing like waiting for your egg sandwich and worrying you'll be forgotten and never get what you so desperately want. Also, holy treats. I think the line moved fast at a delusional pace for me, for I was sucked into the land of magical pastries and cookies. Literally had to compose myself when I saw a freshly made, uncut, Italian rainbow cookie cake. Like why cut them into little pieces? I would be totally fine with eating it in bigger chunks. Like, let me live. Don't make me hate myself because I have to count how many I've had. Okay, sorry. Back to the deli. Wasn't a fan of the sandwich. I also never get my egg sandwich on a bagel, usually a roll. I did this time so it could've been my bad. The sandwich just was falling apart and I hated the bacon. Which is impossible because nobody hates bacon unless they're Satan. I'll try it again. And I will be buying that entire rainbow cookie cake just so I can do as a please with it. read more

Seeing as how this was St. Patrick's Day I was in the mood for some corned beef and cabbage. The best way I know of to enjoy this combination is in a Reuben sandwich! I asked my friend Joanne on FB where I might find a good one in Deer Park and she told me about this place. Can't tell you how many times I've passed by this place thinking it was "just a bagel shop." She was right, it is MUCH more. A good sign was that they used all Boar's Head meats and cheeses. I didn't see a "Reuben" on their overhead menu boards but I ordered one anyway. It came out hot and fresh with a dill pickle spear and a side of cole slaw (the other two choices were potato or macaroni salads). I suppose I could've gone with the potato salad in keeping with my "St. Patrick's" theme, but decided to go with the cole slaw (more cabbage with my corned beef, right?). The sandwich was delicious, and I was actually able to eat it AS a sandwich. Too many times I order a Reuben and it comes as an Open Face sandwich that requires a knife and fork to eat. The cole slaw was also very good (I can be picky about my cole slaw). While I was eating, the cashier who took my order came to my table and dropped off a complementary plate of cookies for dessert. I'll have to remember this place for future reference. I'm usually across the street at Taj Tandoor when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

We went there just now. Guy was rude. I simply ordered an egg sandwich and a grilled muffin. The muffin was not only stale but way over grilled. It tasted like it was a week old. My egg sandwich was wrong. The egg bagel was not fresh and this was at 6am. It surely was not a hot, fresh bagel. They were definitely selling old food all around. The egg sandwich was covered in a gallon of ketchup and pepper. The eggs were fried and not scrambled. There were two thick slices of cheese and one slice of ham. Did I mention the guy was really rude? read more

Food is average. I just paid $11.68 for two eggs turkey and cheese in a wrap and a med. Iced coffee. Rip off City! Not sure how places expect to stay in business. A wrap sandwich and a coffee. Really? Anyway I have been coming here for years out of pure convenience not for its quality or horrible prices. By the way check out their Menu board. Shhh! We don't want anyone to know we raised our prices! read more

Ok, let's start off with how many bagel shops/delis are there in Long Island. Probably thousands. This bagel shop is by far the best of the best. They are slightly pricy but trust me, its so so worth it! The location is a good size, with plenty of seating. Upon walking in you have so many options of what you want to drink, along with some pre-made salads and fruit cups. Next you can see all the delicious pastries/cookies on display. There's usually a wait, but I never mind because it takes me a while to decide what I want. I have tried so many different options from here, and all of them are better than the next. My usual go to is a flagel toasted with lite scallion cream cheese- and lox. Talk about yum. The lox never disappoints and is super fresh! Their delis sandwiches are also killer!!! I also recommend you try the potato salad. Never had anything like it! I have been going here for years, and have never had a problem! The staff is all welcoming, super friendly, super knowledgeable and I love coming here! Shout out to Brett and Keith for making great sandwiches!!! read more

Showed up today with family prior to a funeral to get some bagels. Immediately realized it was cold inside, and the lights to all the display cases were out or off. Only 2 customers in front of us customer service was poor. No urgency on part of bagel store to expedite. One of us asked for a bacon egg and cheese and the women "female, dark skinned, 5'7" responded, we ain't got any of those left! So to clarify my friend said you have no more of those left? As in what does that mean? No what? No eggs? No bacon? Clearly there were ton of bagels on display and it was 945 am. The women responded, "that's what I said did n't I." So we were like screw this, we are going somewhere else. As we were getting in car, an older gentleman late 50's, early 60's came running out to car to ask what happened. We told him and he apologized. I would advise not coming to this establishment, clearly they don't have the right people working there and have operational issues. I recommend you try another business. read more

My all time favorite deli ! Best bagel place ever !! Everyone is always so nice and friendly. The food is always excellent. I am super picky with my egg sandwiches and this is the only place to go, I've been coming here for years and only place I have never had an accidental egg shell in a sandwich. The staff is amazing to my two kids. The chopped salad, sandwiches, and side salads are all to die for. They even have done special request pastries for my sister who is allergic to nuts. My whole family refers to this place as "the good deli". Also they deliver ! Definitely recommend 110%. read more

Been here over 30 times easy. So I'am a fan, but... The line makes zero sense, I wish they would take a week to change the layout somewhat. Since they are making money hand over fist nothing will change. The prices are way to high on all things across the board. More than a Brooklyn bakery who is located in Carroll Gardens! $$$$ But the food is good, some of the staff that sticks around is great! They don't hassle you on credit cards for a $1.50 purchase. I keep going back for a reason! read more

I've been here quite a few times. The food is always good to great. Never had anything I couldn't eat but there are better bagels out there. Coffee is a little on the sweet and weak side. Today tho I got there and was so excited that there was no line. I got right to the counter and ordered my three sandwiches. I stood there as the person helping me took 25 minutes to make my sandwiches. If your in a hurry maybe call ahead or something. read more

The chicken on my sandwich was really dry and over cooked .... and my bacon was undercooked ... I didn't enjoy my sandwich at all :/

I was there today with my kids and personally watched a line almost out of the door. Its a normal saturday morning rush. But let me tell you what made it better. The owner Keith came out with a tray of rainbow cookies, danishes and handed it out to every customer on the line. It was one of the most heart warming expierence I ever recieved from any food establishment. Not only that was such a nice gesture of receiving amazng treats. The service and quickness of the staff was second to none. I must of waited on that line no more than 5 min. I got restless kids and they did not complain once. When we recieved our breakfest sandwiches once again very consistant always top notch taste. I want to thank the deer park FIRST CLASS BAGEL family for your great service Sincerely, MP read more

Placed on online order yesterday for pick-up today. Arrived at the designated time and they had not prepared the order. I was told to wait in another location while they prepared the order (defeating the entire purpose of ordering in advance). Finally received the order from a rude female employee, No apology for the delay, nor a thank you for the business. I honestly think that some of the posts here are written by people who have no idea what they are talking about. These are the best bagels on Long Island. They boil the bagels before baking them. That is the only way to make a bagel. Anything else is a roll with a hole in it. They are also a nice size. No skimpy little bagels here. The people there have always been nice to me. I have never seen the bad attitudes that some are mentioning and I have been a regular customer for years. My kids now live down south and all they ever ask for when we visit is bagels from 1st Class. read more

We come here at least 2x week. Bagels are great as well as their sandwiches! Everyone is always so friendly. Super clean as well !!

Loved this bagel place in a big shopping center. Everything looked so fresh, and there was a huge line which is usually a great indication of good food. Also, the people waiting on line were so diverse...business suits, maintenance guys, and kids were oohing and ahhing over the dessert window. I got the chicken salad with apples and it was delicious. I will definitely come back and try this place again! read more

Pretty good bagels and very busy place on the weekends. Bagels are nice size and soft! Egg sandwiches are always good.

Great!! I order a 5 foot hero sandwich everyone loved it, good customer service! Thanks

Why people want to give this place less than a 5 star by anybody is beyond me. The staff is friendly, the bagels are always fresh, there is a wide selection and their pastries and baked goods are the best on Long Island!! My only complaint is that it is so popular that there is always a line, but for me the line is worth it. read more

This bagel store is the best!!! From the bagels to the pastries, they are absolutely amazing. They are so quick with getting people in and out, and there is always huge line. Walked in, waited ten minutes for service and walked out. At least 3 workers passed by me and didn't say a word. I felt like I was wearing an invisible cloak. Seemed to be very hectic behind all registers. They need to learn how to greet customers and say "I'll be with you in just a minute" -- is that so hard?! read more

Oh my god, I'm in love with this place. I stopped here just on a whim when looking for lunch one day when I was out in the Brentwood area. Wish I lived closer. LOCATION: In shopping center next to CVS, starbucks and food store off Deer Park ave. DECOR: Big place, bigger than your average deli. Good amount of seating too. FOOD: Oh boy, the food!!! First off, they have like 20 different types of bagels you can get (strange flavors you don't often see, too, like honey wheat and vegetable bagels). Then they have tons of sandwich choices, most around $7.75 (not too bad). They come with side salad and a pickle. Also have a large salad bar. They also have tons of pastries and cakes as well. You can even purchase premade wraps and salads. I ordered the Time Square sandwich which was cracked pepper turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, cole slaw, and Russian dressing on a roll. Oh my god it was delicious!! On the board it said hot bacon and melted swiss, but I expected it to all just be thrown on a roll quickly. But nope, the bacon was hot and crispy, the cheese was all melted and the cole slaw was chilled so the sandwich had a great hot/cold combo. Interesting and tasty that the cole slaw was actually ON the sandwich as well. I ordered the potato salad and I am a picky person with my salads so I figured maybe that wouldn't be good, but no. It was amazing, really good flavor and texture. I then turned to the pickle, I figured that would probably not taste good (because obviously something has to be wrong with this meal, its rare you get a meal and everything is perfect haha). But no!! The pickle was so crispy and delicious, ugh. I couldn't contain myself. SERVICE: Service was average, people behind the counter seemed friendly. It was a little confusing, when I first entered, on where I order my food because the place is so big. But I guess you order it at the registers. read more

First thing I am going to say is that I have always enjoyed going here. Great sandwiches, soups, salads and their bakery selection is top notch. Amazing bagels. I am very much a regular since I moved locally to the area. I also must say that the staff has always been friendly, helpful and attentive. Sooooo. I am just going to post this and whatever it is, it is. Went in this afternoon for a hero (again delicious) some fruit and bagels. While waiting for my order a young woman came in and approached the counter and politely waited. At this time there is only one person in front but multiple people just through the plastic that separated the back to the kitchen. Two young gentleman who were working on stocking the cabinet with baked goods (well one worked the other just talking to the other. Whatever, no problem. However these two came out three times and basically ignored her to the point where she looked at me like WTF. So another minute goes by and I just can't take it and say and I quote " hey guys, this young woman has been waiting for quite awhile and the two of you have just walked bye can you please help her". VERBATIM. The younger of the two came over to help her and then decided it would be a good idea to get loud with me and aggressive. Accusing me of saying that he was not purposely (he was) helping her. Apparently in a desperate attempt to look like a big strong tough guy in front of the young woman who was extremely attractive. He was in fact the biggest asshole I've met in a minute. Not like he physically attacked me or anything but I literally had to put up my hand in his face to get him to shut the fuck up and just help the woman. Paid for my food, thanked the very nice woman helping me and left. Best for last. As the young woman was leaving with her stuff she turned to thank me for my help and captain asshole from behind the counter said "no problem, have a nice day". She just laughed with me as she thanked me again and left. Like I said take that as you will but personally I am disappointed because now I gotta find a new place to go. If this is the standard of service then NOPE. This will be the end of my rant. FUCK CAPTAIN ASSHOLE and may locusts roost in his underwear PEACE Y'ALL read more

Delicious bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Always a line because they are worth the wait, but the line definitely moves quick! Unbelievable amount of delicious bakery items, hard to choose what to get each time. When you want to eat light, a fresh chopped salad where you choose all the ingredients is the way to go! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert - they have awesome choices for all, top that with a friendly, courteous and efficient staff - no need to go anywhere else!!! read more

Food may be good, but I wouldn't know....a deli that doesn't have bread at a prime time in the day. ‍

I must say have been a customer for many years and just really getting to the point that I am done with with this place. Reasons being: The STAFF!!! They are always so rude whether you call ahead and place an order or go wait on that ridiculous line. The layout is also ridiculous there is only 1 line for everything where there should be an order then a pick up counter! You should not have to be in a bagel store for 30 mins. And the prices are a little too high! read more
