Oh my god, I'm in love with this place. I stopped here just on a whim when looking for lunch one day when I was out in the Brentwood area. Wish I lived closer. LOCATION: In shopping center next to CVS, starbucks and food store off Deer Park ave. DECOR: Big place, bigger than your average deli. Good amount of seating too. FOOD: Oh boy, the food!!! First off, they have like 20 different types of bagels you can get (strange flavors you don't often see, too, like honey wheat and vegetable bagels). Then they have tons of sandwich choices, most around $7.75 (not too bad). They come with side salad and a pickle. Also have a large salad bar. They also have tons of pastries and cakes as well. You can even purchase premade wraps and salads. I ordered the Time Square sandwich which was cracked pepper turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, cole slaw, and Russian dressing on a roll. Oh my god it was delicious!! On the board it said hot bacon and melted swiss, but I expected it to all just be thrown on a roll quickly. But nope, the bacon was hot and crispy, the cheese was all melted and the cole slaw was chilled so the sandwich had a great hot/cold combo. Interesting and tasty that the cole slaw was actually ON the sandwich as well. I ordered the potato salad and I am a picky person with my salads so I figured maybe that wouldn't be good, but no. It was amazing, really good flavor and texture. I then turned to the pickle, I figured that would probably not taste good (because obviously something has to be wrong with this meal, its rare you get a meal and everything is perfect haha). But no!! The pickle was so crispy and delicious, ugh. I couldn't contain myself. SERVICE: Service was average, people behind the counter seemed friendly. It was a little confusing, when I first entered, on where I order my food because the place is so big. But I guess you order it at the registers. read more

I must say have been a customer for many years and just really getting to the point that I am done with with this place. Reasons being: The STAFF!!! They are always so rude whether you call ahead and place an order or go wait on that ridiculous line. The layout is also ridiculous there is only 1 line for everything where there should be an order then a pick up counter! You should not have to be in a bagel store for 30 mins. Now I have never actually sat down in this place to eat, I have only used them to pick up a couple of dozen bagels to bring to my office. That being said the bagel selection is pretty wide and the bagels are large soft and warm. I get rave reviews and have never been disappointed. I am basing my review on this. I remember the first time i ever came in to First Class Bagles in Deer Park. Completly one of the best places i ever eat at. Quick story, My family and I lives in syosset, and it was probably a little less then a year ago that I was in deer park to take my 2 twin girls to dance classes. After picking my girls up, we were hungry and i remember stopping in at First Class Bagles in Deer Park for a quick bite. Now when i say this, I really and truthfully mean it. Seriously it was one of my best experience's I ever had especially with the girls and I eating their delicious bagles and especially their coffee with their specialty danish's, pastry's and their cheese cake's. Completly breath taking, and my girls found their new spot to eat every saturday morning. Lets start with the service, it was quick and an enjoyment, all the employees have a smile from ear to ear and was so intentive and busting their humps to get our order as fast as possible. The service comes second to none, (Unbeliable). Now the food, completly fresh and the bagles, stand alone is a treat with nothing on it. I dont know how they do it but the owner kieth says its always made with love and freshly baked every 6 hours. Literally you know he is telling the truth because the bagles are legitly out of the world. Now lets get back to their danish, pastries and their cakes. I know my bakery's and when i tell you their sweet treats are always fresh and also elegent and beautiful in looks, but especially the taste of these delights is completly bliss. Now i wanted to state that my twin girls stopped going to dance classes for about 5 months now, but every saturday we still make it like a ritual for me and my daughters to leave from syosset and take a 30 min ride to First Class Bagles in Deer Park. It now became a father and daughter tradition. And we still and never ever breaking a great tradition like going to First Class Bagles in Deer Park. Its funny because one of my daughters always say every single time to me that she want First Class Bagles in Deer Park to make her wedding cake because she thinks they not only have the best food but their bakery is why she loves the most. So let me wrap this up by saying, everyone should go to First Class Bagles In Deer Park at the end of the day. A plethora of genuine junk. Expensive coach class ( with no perks ), certainly not first class. Feels like an amusement park, not a place to eat real food, which you can't find in this place. Asked if they use real butter...they had to check? Ah yes, the old butter blend... Just because they claim to have baked goods doesn't mean what's baked is good. Artificial crap everywhere at this place. Another bad food camouflaged junk yard, claiming to serve food. A bad health and cancer trap. Another garbage truck filled with waste. Obviously, well trained in ignorance and profit at the expense of innocent customers. Read the ingredients and look them up on the web. You will undoubtedly and immediately bolt, get a coach ticket on the next bus away from this place or plan a trip to the emergency room. Very clean, attractive environment with a selection of bagels, spreads, bakery and deli items. My rye with butter was pretty good, heavy on the rye. Bagels are probably on par with most other bagel shops. Service seemed a little unfriendly but it was also 6am on a Sunday. read more

The sandwiches here are good but expensive. Although I don't think the cook knows the difference between scrambled eggs or fried, he also appears to be incapable of not removing egg shells from your orders. Stick to ordering bagels it's easy not to screw that up. read more

To start off, I hate giving bad reviews, but I think this one is important. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, there were so many options and the person who served me behind the counter was very kind. However, there was ABSOLUTELY NO SOCIAL DISTANCING ENFORCED. Management allowed for a very spacious area to become cramped and crowded and let customers ignore their social distancing stickers. They let customers crowd around the register and didn't have clear waiting places marked. I got some rude comments from the ladies behind the counter about standing in the middle near the register, even though there was no where marked to stand and several people were crowding near the right register. A customer even pulled down their mask next to me and started talking to the employees. The wait was long, but our server was kind enough to give us some cookies for our inconvenience, which was really nice! This place would have my 5 stars 100% if it wasn't for the clear disregard of costumer and employee safety through the lack of social distancing measures. read more

I'm never the one to post a bad review about any establishment. I would usually take it directly to management. Unfortunately, I have no other recourse. For the past 2 weeks I would try and order food for my company. And every time we call there's a a different minimum requirement for delivery. First it was $25.00, then it was $30.00, and the last time I called it was $40.00. I understand there being a minimum, but $40.00 is a little excessive. My biggest issue was how incredibly rude the girl on the phone was. I'm in the customer service business and I've encountered my fair share of rude people. This isn't the first time where I felt she was being nasty either. I'm not going to get into exactly what was said. But I'm sure If the owner confronts her about it she'll know exactly who I am. I've always enjoyed their food and never had any complaints. But I will never order from them ever again. read more

The customer service was okay, the lady that helped us was decent as opposed to the other employee with the most miserable look on her face working alongside her. Overall I would say they have a large selection of bagels to choose from. The bagels aren't outstanding just mediocre. The place has an overall clean and neat appearance, but what provoked me to write this review was their specialty cream cheese... I ordered a half pound of bacon scallion cream cheese, and it was horrendous. They used fake hot pink bacon, ya know from the bacon bits container. It was disgusting, and cost $6.50. I hope they read this reviews and decide to either do away with the bacon scallion variety.. or use real bacon like every other bagel store I have ever been to! read more

First time I came here I ordered egg whites, avocado wrap.. when I went to bite my wrap the avocado was hard. The avocado was not ripe! A turn off for me I stopped coming here for a while. Second time around, I ordered two egg whites and one over easy egg, pastrami and Swiss. The girl who attended me was completely rude. And when I told her my order she looked at me like I had a million heads. I repeated my order and dumbed it down for her. I've been going to this bagel shop for about 7 years only because of convenience. Every time we order from here they always always always mess up the order. They write everything down and still mess it up. Sometimes you get an attitude but they seem to have let go (or she left) of the girl with the biggest attitude. I'm just frustrated because they are not a cheap bagel shop. If anyone is reading this and lives in Deer Park, go to Wally's. I ordered a "Kentucky"--which is supposed to be a heated chicken, sundried tomato, fresh mozzerella and pesto sauce sandwich--and instead they gave me rubbery chicken and mozzerella with mayo on a wet hero. I HATE mayo. This concoction was so white I'm surprised they didn't throw in a rescued shelter dog, a Prius, and a voting ballot. I ordered a sandwich with WELL DONE turkey bacon. Does everyone know what well done means? At least cooked u would think... Right? When lunch arrived at work, I found that the bacon was RAW! Uncooked disgustingness. If u can roll up the bacon like a piece of paper... That's not cooked! And I ordered it WELL DONE. I went back very calm and explained what happened and that I got uncooked bacon...u would think I would at least get a "sorry" or an "idk how that happened" NOTHING! U apologize and make it up to the customer...Bc I, the customer was now inconvenienced and now taking time out of my lunch break to fix their error. I'm not picky, I'm not high maintenance... I've worked in the food industry for years when I was younger...and always taught that the customer is always right, (in this case I really was) but also, if u fuck up... U apologize! The bagels are good but the older man that works there was touching and moving the bagels around from bin to bin with his bare hands. I than saw him make someone a bagel and cream cheese with his bare hands touching the bagel and than wiping his hands on his clothes and holding the bagel to cut it. Yuck. Who wants to eat that .
