This review is mainly for the pharmacy but I have no issues with the store itself. I've been using the CVS on Sherman Way for months and have had nothing but horrible service, waiting an hour EVERY time no matter what time of day, inside or drive-thru, and always an attitude because the people working there clearly hate their jobs. This is my new pharmacy. The employees are super friendly and helpful, called to get my insurance information from CVS and had my prescriptions ready for me when I arrived. I can't believe the difference in service and I'm so glad I switched to them. read more

This place has got to be the dirtiest and nastiest Walgreens I have ever been. The cash register employees are not trained on how to deal with store coupons. My mother is coming back from Chicago and I wanted to surprise her with some photos that I got from a friend who sent them to me online. I am glad Walgreens has an online order system and I can pick it up later without making two trips to the store and wait an hour. I ordered 50 prints and I used Walgreens' Special 50 Prints for $5. My total including tax was $5.49. This location is a busy location because of the Sherman Way/ Van Nuys Blvd Hub for most residents and Bus Patrons. I have ordered a lot of my digital prints and its way better than SnapFish. Look at your Sunday Circular and Walgreens got a lot of special deals. This place is 24 hours and not too far away from my house so it is a bonus. The area is kinda sketchy during the day and that goes double at night. They wax the floors late at night so some areas get roped off. The place is generally clean and the staff is friendly. Sometimes it seems like the cashiers are just not paying attention though. They have just about anything you could need in a pinch. It isn't a bad place but overall I like CVS better. read more

For some reason my prescription is on hold, but I can't find out because the staff refuses to answer the phone. I spent 25 minutes on hold with 1 caller ahead of me. This pharmacy sucks. The staff is inattentive and clearly don't care about running a pharmacy that helps people. I love coming here. I buy my lip gloss here (Jordana) for $2.99 & eye/lip liners for $1.99, they stock up on Fridays and they go fast. They are inexpensive & great quality. This is the only place I have found these. I have bought MANY name brand and all kinds of lip glosses and these are by far the best and at the BEST PRICE. I am addicted to buying Lip Glosses and when I find one that I luv how it feels on my lips, I buy all the colors & flavors :) They also have a Red Box inside, which I love. Since I am a woman it can be quite dangerous to stand there deciding which movie to take while watching your back, for the locations where they are outside. Futhermore, this is a 24 hour Walgreens & it's around the corner from my house, fo rme it is great, especially in case of emergencies and they do happen. read more

The absolute WORST!!! The pharmacist always seems annoyed. It's like she doesn't want to be there...ever! She is miserable! The last time I came to pick up I was there right at 8 because I needed to be to my kids school at 8:30. At 8:03 when no one had opened the window yet I rang the bell and was greeted by an annoyed pharmacist who barked "give me a minute, I just walked into my pharmacy". Wouldn't accept coupon printed from internet. Accused us of copying it instead. Tried explaining three times that the coupon was from a site, clicked "print" and out it came from the printer. They didn't get it and refused to honor the coupon. There are numbers printed above the bar code which they could have entered but the cashier either wasn't aware of it or was aware of it but was too stupid to realize she could have done so. Even the manager refused to budge. She was about as bright as a sack of potatoes. read more

I give this place zero stars. If you want to have your time wasted and be yelled at by the extremely rude and unprofessional "manager" named NAYELLI come here. I came in to have photos printed and was given a time frame of about an hour, which we were totally ok waiting for. About 5 minutes left of this time frame hour we see this Nayelli girl start printing the photos, which WHAT? Why wait so late to start printing when it is completely empty. Its way after the hour time frame and we calmly ask whats going on and she says the machine has conveniently broken and doesn't know when it will start working (with a nasty attitude basically saying to f off). We ask why we weren't updated and she starts giving even more nasty attitude almost yelling at me. So in my defense I ask why she is being so rude and continues to be rude and tell me to never come in the store again? I dont get why this manager Nayelli is in this position when she was extremely rude and unhelpful, in the time span of waiting I saw her do the same to other people. I firmly recommend this Walgreens re-evaluates her as the manager as I have never been treated so negatively at this store ever! read more

How can I put this in a way this store thinks of itself. Hmmmmm, "a mess". Outside of the store, just trashed and debris everywhere. I get they are in a business complex and feel that they do not have to pick up outside their store, But come on, common sense, would say send a staff member outside to just pick up the trash. (right thing to do). Inside the store is of course in order, nothing on the floor, but the layout and the way it looks inside, is just cold and not inviting. Now, here is the real kicker, the pharmacy area (staff members and pharmacist). One staff member with multi-color hair (blonde, routes coming through and some brown as well, young looking) Well not polite one bit, attitude just is negative. Now the young Asian lady (pharmacist I think, from what I was told); is passive aggressive when asking a question about the meds or even mentioning that the text messages to alert when meds are ready doesn't work; well she gives bland answers "you are not the only one". No apology, hmmm I'm guessing I do not expect anything more given that the staff seems negative, so why should I think the pharmacist would be any different. All in all, I would rather take a ride to another place that is cleaner and nicer and pay more money, just because it would be well worth it, then to come back here. Another WalGreens bites the dust. I welcome back a response from this establishment. Please fix, the staffs attitudes, cleanliness of the outside store, inside ambiance and overall have a care about the place you work at. read more

I wish I could give negative stars for this pharmacy. They ignore customers and take 3x longer than any other Walgreens I've been to. They told me to wait fifteen minutes and ended up waiting for over an hour and being ignored both inside and at the drive thru. In the meantime the staff was talking and laughing in the back. No urgency. I'm severely ill and need my prescription. I also tried calling them multiple times while I was waiting and they'd put me on hold for 10 minutes before answering and then hanging up on me. Never again! This place needs new management. Completely incompetent. They need to train the pharmacy techs in empathy for the ill. This is an important job that needs to be taken seriously. read more

So, I realize that the past handful of reviews were negative ones. I'm not saying that they are wrong in what they say BUT I will say that there are probably reasons behind it. I've only been here once (which was today) and it was for a flu shot. You're probably thinking why did I choose this location? Well, let me tell you - it was the only appointment I can get today that was in the area. I drove from Sherman Oaks to here because I got a vaccine voucher from work. Anyway, yes the pharmacy was super super busy. And yes, there was definitely a wait. But you know what? In these crazy times especially with vaccines, these retail pharmacies can only handle so much with little staff. Just like what seems almost every other retail pharmacy (mostly CVS and Walgreens) they are not staffed properly. Had to wait a while. Got my flu shot. No one was mean. It was busy but people waited. I think it's a deeper rooted issue at this point where people have no patience and expect everything done at a snap of a finger. Then again, this was my first time. Probably my last too since I don't expect myself to drive to this location. My 4 stars are for the hardworking employees at the pharmacy only. read more

Pharmacy has the worst customer service and they are rude as heck. They never get calls from doctors offices correct, and they will have you waiting forever just to pick up a prescription. They need to shut this store down and occupy this building with a real pharmacy with people who know the meaning of empathy. Just left this location with a friend of mine who accompanied me to look at hair products and get cash back. While in the natural hair care section an older Hispanic employee came over to us twice to "look" at a box relaxer for several minutes. Not once did she ask either of us if we needed help nor did greet us. Her actions showed she was following my friend and I because we are both African American. Why else would she come to the aisle we were in TWICE without acknowledging us to look at a product that had nothing to do with her working at the register in the skin care section? Neither of us have ever stolen anything in our lives and we do not appreciate being followed solely on the basis of our appearance. No other customers in the store were being followed as we were the only people of color there at the time. We will no longer be shopping at Walgreens and I hope the company provides their employees with training as to not presume and follow customers based on the color of their skin. read more

DO NOT GO HERE LATE AT NIGHT!!! Their is a marijuana dispensary in the same parking lot where all the thugs hang out. Me and my girlfriend went to get some movies from the Red Box. And with the few steps we took to get from the parking lot to the store we heard the most inappropriate hollering. It was so obnoxious and annoying. I felt extremely disrespected and unsafe. I called before to make sure my prescription was ready and they said that I could pick it up in their "fast service drive-thru" because it's faster than getting out of your car and actually walking into the store. Since I got to the drive-thru there was only 1 car in front of me who waited over 20 mins to get their prescription. When it came to my turn he asked us to wait a few more minutes.. In total I've been waiting about 30 minutes so far! This is ridiculous!!! Fast service?!!! They need to have ONE person working the drive thru customers only! Now there's someone behind me who isn't as patient as me and is honking their life away! read more

Pretty cool store. Customer service was great. The only downside really is coming here at night. There is a lot of homeless people who hang out by the store & people trying to sell stuff to you as your walking out of the store. If you go there late, I would bring someone with you. read more

Ok, where do I start. I have been a patron of this particular Walgreens for YEARS. Most of the staff is friendly and some just hate Their job. Tonight 3/31/19 at about 7:12 pm I went in to buy my shampoo and conditioner and other needed toiletries. I grabbed 2 bottles of shampoo and 2 bottles of conditioner and put them in my shopping bag like I Normally do. I was approached by a person by the name of Josh who refuse to give me any info, after he harassed me to take out the stuff out of my bag and leave the store. I laughed because I was in disbelief this was happening. I said I was going to buy the content in my bag. He said to go to the cashier and he will check me out... I was offended, harassed, and profiled by this man who claimed to be the store manager... I will be making a formal complaint about place. Any advice feel free to share. read more

The photo lab is not helpful. I had my pictures printed and it was all cut off! The clerk said I had to resize my photos. Why did they print in then if it does not fit 4x6? I asked the clerk if he can help me fix the problem. He said no. Went back to my car really pissed. My husband went back inside and called the manager, and he fixed my pictures! What began as a time consuming photo lab visit, turned into a horrific experience! My photos that were being printed had all the heads cut off, I asked for help and the person working the counter said I had to resize all my pictures. Okay not a problem but I just spent $96 to have these printed and I need a refund. It will take days to return my money, and my photos are a loss about a month earlier I took in hard copy prints to copy for my nieces quinceñera party and when I returned to pick them up, I was informed they were already picked up.. By who!? They have no other answer for me other than they were picked up. Also, most employees work as if they are half asker or on something with slurred speech and attitude problems. This is one of the few stores of any chain that will still develop underwater disposable cameras. I have had film to develop since October 2012 just waiting to find a developer.They were super nice when I went in. Gave me the number to the photo department and said I can call to see if my film is ready before I come in. The store itself has tons of stuff, it's big and clean. read more
