medical aisle with variety of supplies. More on the other side.

Let me start my review by saying how much I love this CVS and their customer service. I don't go there as often, but being the biggest store on Ventura Blvd, I can find a lot more things that I can't find at the 2 CVS stores closer to my house in Studio City. Customer service is top notch, they are all on board to help you and really want to help you by walking with you to the particular aisle/S to find what you are looking for. This review is ONLY for the store and not the pharmacy. I needed a special kind of vitamin about 2 weeks ago and the other locations that I normally go to were out. I found my vitamins pretty quickly and also checked out their medical supply aisle for some things like a walker, wheelchair, bed pan and other things for my neighbor, and they had it all for a very affordable/reasonable price. Thank God I haven't reached that point to use a walker or a wheelchair yet since my 2 legs & arms are working just fine. They have a vast amount of everything from food, clothes, beauty merchandise, medication of every kind, (over the counter), household items, paper goods, medical supplies, vitamins, beverages and more.. 3 employees are always on the registers with nice smiles, and 3 self check out machines. I get their coupons in my mail once every 2 weeks and they come in very handy when making a big purchase. They also have a lot of discounted items like buy one & get the 2nd one for free or 50% off. Look out for the yellow tags! Open 24/7, security guard by the door, they even have a water machine outside of the store, store is very well maintained and super clean. Plenty of parking spaces shared with Party City, a cleaners and this new business that opened up in the place of Marie Callendars! They do have a restroom and sometimes they let you use it and sometimes they don't. Thank you CVS & management!!

I've been a loyal customer for over a decade. The last 6-7 times I've come here to get a prescription the lines are ridiculous! They need to hire more people! I'm finally changing to any other location. If you get more customers.... Hit more help!!

This has become my go to CVS because of its convenience and ease of parking. I also like how spacious the store is inside. Checking out is also very quick as there are many available self check out stations as well as employees to help you if you need it. The store is also clean and well maintained. The downside is definitely that while the store is huge, a lot of products are often out of stock and they just don't do a good job of refilling things. I came here yesterday looking for a few items and every item I needed was out of stock. I was able to find some replacements but it definitely feels frustrating to see so many empty shelves!

New one-way security gates blocking half of the store, including the shampoo and toothpaste.

CVS has lost the plot. They're already losing business to amazon, and then they go ahead and make it feel more like a prison commissary than a business. This place already had everything locked up behind glass. Then they added multiple cops on duty inside the store. And just recently they added something I have never seen anywhere in my life: electronic security gates, blocking off half the store, with a one way entrance and exit. Shopping in places like this is just degrading. It's awkward, you're very aggressively and obviously being watched the whole time, and then you still have to wait for employees to unlock glass containers for basic items. And still, most importantly, you can't just stand there and shop! I can't do the basic things I need to do to make shopping a useful experience! Because you can't pick things up and look at them or read ingredients. You have to awkwardly bend down to peer at them at all. There's so little thought put into customer experience that they don't even bother to put the cases at eye level. There's just no point at all anymore. I want CVS to actually think for once: Why would I ever buy anything here instead of amazon? The pharmacy is great though, even though this location is always super busy they still have very friendly and helpful staff :)

Thank you so much Imanol for your excellent, purposeful service at the cashier. He also answered my questions very well regarding scrubs. He deserve a pay raise! ;) All personal items I need were all there--dry shampoo, make-up remover, wipes. Fast check out. Clean environment. God bless!

Took 4 tries to get the flash discount on ONE item !!

Wednesday morning: I called again. No answer. I try corporate. No answer. I call Sherman Oaks again, yay! they answer. Yes, your prescription is here and ready. It will be delivered after 6:30 p.m. today. Guess what? Nothing came. Wednesday evening: I call and get put on hold then disconnected. (One of the employees once told me they don't answer the phones. He was honest.) I call again, get put on hold, wait and get put on hold again, wait and get put on hold yet again, and then someone answers and "oh yes, it's here and will be delivered tomorrow." Are you kidding me? That's what you told me YESTERDAY. It's now 8:15 pm. I contacted someone who is on their way to pick it up for me as a favor. I miss Rite Aid and while I know Walgreen's absorbed a lot of their traffic, they should have staffed up. This is the United States, and I can't get my prescription when I'm sick. The rest of health care has degenerated, too, but this was just for one prescription. Walgreen's, you are a disappointment. Time to find another pharmacy.

I said fine that's not a big deal I'll buy Tylenol I said it has been approved before with no issue but no problem I can purchase the syrup version. Then all of the sudden like a week later I got txt saying the medicine was ready for pick up , I thought they couldn't process it right? She calls the pharmacy and whoever answers her is in a rush and doesn't even acknowledge my sister. the only thing she said was: oh, thanks for letting us know bye! And hangs up the phone. My sister felt uneasy because she can see they have charged her insurance already so she just took a drive to the pharmacy because over the phone they just hanged up on her, at the pharmacy she said they told her: oh yeah we cancelled it and ignored her. Mostly for snacks, juice... the occasional weekend out and about minis and/or lottery tickets on occasion. They have a lot of product in the store especially wine, spirits and the essential liquor store snacks. The isles aren't too big which can be a little bitter sweet especially if a small line starts to form or there's a few customers trying to navigate around or past you. The gentlemen who work here are pretty laidback and personable as well as pretty nice. I've place an orders here via minibar app a few times, especially more so back in May and June when things were still pretty closed down... And even then I received quality customer service. One time they were out of a bottle of sweet shiraz I wanted to get to gift to a friend who was between jobs and they were out of stock but upgraded me to an equally comparable wine that was a dollar or so more. One of the gentlemen at the store called me and gave me updates on my order because they were actually pretty busy during memorial day weekend. I passed through recently for super lotto and always get wished a good luck! The parking is pretty smooth and keeps a steady flow despite being in a mini plaza of neighborhood shops. Though there is also street parking close by. I definitely prefer coming here to 7-11 just across the street from them as they have just about everything they carry with a few surprises here and there via snacks and beverages. Definitely support this long standing small business when you can and satisfy your cravings of convenience.
