Absolutely love Costco! If you're looking for something, Costco probably has it. They offer a great selection of products and produce, and I especially come here for their wide variety of organic fruits and great selection of organic meats and fish. Of course, you can't forget the free food samples--I always enjoy seeing what new items they're promoting. At my last job, Costco was also a community partner and supported us with food and beverages for nearly all of our events, which made me appreciate them even more. Lastly, the food court is a must. I somehow always leave with a hot dog and a slice of pizza. The only downside is the parking. There are plenty of spaces, but it's almost always packed and can be a bit outrageous to deal with. read more

I definitely wouldn't recommend the pharmacy at Costco! The pharmacist Gloria has the worst manners of any human I've ever dealt with! I work in a medical office and while the patient was waiting here he heard the interaction I experienced with this woman and he heard the way she was speaking to me. I recently had a very frustrating experience at food court @ Costco on Sepulveda Blvd. Van nuys CA The service was extremely poor, and the wait time was unbelievably long. It was clear that there were not enough employees available to handle the number of customers, which led to unnecessary delays and a very disorganized experience. Customers were left waiting for extended periods without any clear communication or sense of urgency from the staff. The overall system they have in place seems inefficient and not designed to handle busy times effectively. I've included a picture to show exactly what the situation looked like--it speaks for itself. Costco usually has a reputation for good service, but this visit was very disappointing. I hope management takes a closer look at staffing and improves their process to better serve customers. read more

Costco does not honor changing policy.They are criticizing all that you bring back and giving you a hard time.Oscar must be restrained to be more polite with customers. I purchased clothing multiple times because the fabric goes back very fast.I dont recommend you purchase underwear or socks there because they go bad pretty quick. 2025/11/11: I came here today to get my membership card since I signed up via Groupon, they have a special for signing up for membership, they will give you a $40 gift card. So I got my photo taken for my membership card, the lady tried really hard to get me to upgrade to their executive level membership It's been a long time since I was last a member so I browsed and look around, tried out the samples. I saw a few things I wanna get next time I visit. This location has a large parking lot but it's always packed. I found out that they now accept visa as payment, they used to accept American Express only.. I also found out that anyone can use their pharmacy without a membership. read more

Definitely a 2-3 star. Not all employees are helpful. Some are rude and don't make you feel welcomed. Probably not the nicest Costco in the valley. This is the closest Costco to me unfortunately. Great deals. I wish some products they didn't get rid of but they did bring 2 back that I appreciate. Parking is a B even with the disabled parking is always full. Always been treated just fine in all departments Some ten days ago I went to get my eyes examined and had Costco Optical department fill my prescription. I was helped by Larissa. I was impressed by her patience with me. It wasn't faked. She came across as very sincere, friendly and she definitely knew what she was doing. I was very very please. Believe it or not, I like this Costco location. Its like my 3rd time coming here in over a year. I do not live in this area anymore, but my girlfriend and I frequently visit her friends and family in the areas, and we come here to shop for food parties and gatherings or spiritual get togethers. I like the store and its lay outs. Only thing annoying here is lining up to get the hot chicken here at a certain time of day or night. People here act like animals as if they had never had hot roasted chicken. Never have this trouble at our Costco locations in Orange Couny. But all in all, I like it here. read more

A trip to Costco is always quite the adventure. It's always exciting to see what new products they have and also check out the seasonal displays. You can always find certain products there, but the brands may change from time to time. So if you see a set of dishes you like, BUY THEM! Because that exact set might not be there next time. I also really enjoy to look through the clothing section because sometimes they have really great deals and even cute kids clothes. It's really easy to blow a couple hundred dollars here in one trip. I always buy diapers, wipes, the taco kit (highly recommend), eggs and berries here at the very least. The prices for the organic produce is great, but they don't always have it available. If you need something, Costco probably has it. Folding tables, back massagers, plants, pots, fans, heaters, automotive supplies, dog beds, laundry detergent, a kayak...the list never ends! Costco is always the place to go when you are throwing a party. Drinks and snacks in bulk are great, as well as their premade foods. Their pizza is SO cheap too! They also have good sized cakes and pies available for a good price. Also, I have been gifted jewelry from Costco and it was absolutely stunning and so reasonable priced. I actually replaced my wedding band with a ring from Costco and it's everything I could have ever wanted. Treat someone special to some beautiful and affordable jewels!!! Lots of parking, but you might have to circle a bit depending on the time of day that you go. This costco somehow runs out of carts so fast. A few times I have waited outside for them to round up carts or even found one out in the parking lot myself. read more

When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was informed that the reduced refund amount was due to a current promotional sale price for Advil. The short Hispanic male employee didn't accept my return. ATTN: Optical Center The employees in optical have the worst customer service. Inside of communicating with customers they are helping, they prefer to choose gossiping about other employees in front of customers like myself. It was a male with a beard, who didn't seem happy to be at work, talking to a female associate, who wears large ear gages, completely ignored other customers not even acknowledge to inform them that she will be right with them. Costco is Costco - it's the same experience no matter which location you go to. This one is a little spicier since it's in the good ol' hood of Van Nuys! Parking lot is Thunderdome as everyone drives it like they stole it! You better put a pep in your step and keep it moving until you get to the safety of the inside deathmatch! It's free-for-all walking around and there's no mercy in this dojo! It's quite the obstacle course dodging the elderly, the jerkasaurus customers who needlessly create traffic jams by stopping in the most inconvenient spots, kids trying to escape from their parent's clutches, people trying free samples like they've never eaten or drank anything before, spillage in aisles, people using their carts like battering rams, sad sack entitled brats, etc... You never know what you're gonna run into so limber up - remember movement is life! You can buy most everything you need in bulk to hunker down for weeks/months, visit the optometry section so your eyes don't rot and stuff your face with cheap eats from the food court as you contemplate your life's decisions that led you to spend more than you originally anticipated. This Costco has great clearanced items, I've gotten some good deals here. I've been noticing lately that they have a lot of ethnic items you don't see in most costcos which I love!! I've seen Afghan Bolani, Indian Pani Puri and tandoori chicken. Parking it the worst unless you get here super early or towards closing. The gas line moves pretty fast. Hit up the food court after shopping for a slice of pizza or one of their famous hotdogs! read more

BEWARE 5/28/24! ALL THE BERRIES WERE MOLDY! Hard to tell on some of them but we picked up soooo many and majority of them were moldy. Absolutely disgusting!!!!!!!!! NIce Costco co-Located with a gas station. While the lines were not too bad int he store the parking section was simply nuts. Most of that was related to the geography of the store and where the gas station was. The rest of the store is set up like most. This particular location had a great set of reusable zip-lock bags that we had not nor have seen at other locations. They also had a good selection of wine and spirits. The RULES! 1) NEVER EVER go in hungry. That 25 gallons of dill pickle chips is much easier to resist on a full stomach.... true story there. 2) Avoid the free samples. People seem to lose their minds with this stuff. They abandon carts with crying babies, block isles, etc all to get that tiny portion of hummus. I have been shoved aside by someone desperate to get a free piece of cheese. Honestly I have seen more dignity from actual starving people in a disaster zone but I digress. 3) Avoid the weekends like the plague. 4) See #1 5) Go often. Costco uses alot of psychology and the fear of missing out is one of them. Odd items you must have pop up then go never to return. I CAN'T MISS OUT AGGGGGGG 6) Know your codes: At costco any price ending in 0.97 means it has been marked down. Any price that is not a 0.99 or .97 such as say 0.49 means it has a manufacturers discount. and price with an * aka "The Death Star" on it means its done and will not be reordered so stock up. If it ends in a .00 or a 0.88 a manager has reduced the price at that location to clear it out. 7) When in an unfamiliar city head to the Costco. They always stock local items you can't find at yours (like two pounds of single origin Kona coffee for 30.00 at the Kilaua / Kona store etc.) and have cheap gas. (Same on Kauai) read more

I am the biggest fan of Costco!! (usually). I cook and do dinner parties, so I value the enormous 'value' of shopping there. I wanted to buy a beautiful chest of drawers for my mom. After realizing it weighed more than 250 lbs, we decided to have it delivered. The delivery was an additional $50, but "installation and box material removal' were included! My mom and I agreed it was the best $50 we would ever spend. The delivery came, and the delivery guy said it was not his job to bring it in, unpack it, install it, or take the box. I told him that was not our understanding and I didn't know how I was going to do it. "As a favor," he opened the box, and the packing material barfed all over the floor; then he said again, "This is not my job' and left. My mom reviewed the contract on the site and spent two hours on the phone trying to get someone to come back and finish the job. They said someone could come back on Monday, FIVE days from the delivery. In those two hours, (while she was trying to get someone to come back), I pulled out a box cutter, filled two black 50lb trash bags, and off-hauled the garbage. The chest of drawers is still sitting on its side with no feet. There is no way I can install and turn over the piece by myself, and my mom is 83 years old and uses a walker. The biggest kick in the teeth of the whole thing (aside from the chest of drawers still sitting in the middle of the room) is that when she called Costco, the Costco agent reached out to the delivery team (the two useless guys who came to the house) and they LIED and said that I REFUSED SERVICE!!! I try not to think people suck, but in these situations. PEOPLE SUCK! We are waiting for someone to come back to the house. Let's see when that happens. read more

I walked into this Costco with a smile, expecting a simple return and a normal interaction. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed, dismissed, and genuinely shaken. I greeted the associate at the returns counter warmly, but she examined the pillows with visible disdain and asked, "Were they that yellow when you bought them?" in a tone that felt unnecessarily accusatory. I stayed polite and honest, but the judgment in her voice made me uncomfortable enough to ask for a manager. The first manager who came over didn't seem interested in hearing me out, and the second arrived visibly annoyed. He even suggested I had "gotten enough use out of them," which wasn't true and felt disrespectful. At that point, I felt so uncomfortable that I asked to cancel my membership -- and the associate handling it did so with even more attitude. I left feeling unresolved, especially after being told the pillows would simply be discarded. The whole experience has made me hesitant to return even a legitimately defective item because I'm afraid of being treated the same way again. My favorite quinoa salad has been discontinued at the Costco closest to me but I wish THRILLED to find it at this Costco location this weekend! This was my first time at this Costco location. I stopped by because I was in the area. I liked the layout out but it did take me some time to figure out where everything was I like how the fresh produce and dairy rooms are next to each other. They had a lot of product and new items I have not seen at my local Costco. The employees were helpful and friendly. The lines did get a little long and the cashier was a bit rude when speaking to us. At my Costco they want everything left in the cart. At this Costco they want everything out of the cart. As I was told to get everything out a kind employee came over and helped me. The parking situation is also awful and I did not love that. If I was in the area I would come back but I would not drive out of my way to come to this location. read more

Jorge must be desperate for a new membership he would do something illegal and desperate in attempt to try to open an account. In 2016 I opened an account on behalf of a previous employer under their EIN and was put on as an authorized user for the business. I haven't used the account since 2017 and it is legally not mine as it was opened under an EIN belonging to the business. He said he couldn't open a personal account because a business account existed with my name on it. That's a Costco problem. Your customers should be able to have a personal and business membership even if it's just for the convenience of accounting for a business and house hold. He insisted on reopening that account even though I told him I have no claim to that account or EIN and it would be illegal. It belongs to the owners of the EIN. In top of this he was very pushy and tried to sell me every single product you guys offer to new members and would not say no when I told him I just wanted to open a gold star membership. Like read the room bro. The experience was horrible from the jump just based off how pushy he was. When I reiterated the time of membership I wanted his tone and demeanor got less and less friendly. When a manager came over to help he again insisted on highjacking the account I am not entitled to and have no ownership over. I was just the employee that opened the account. The fact that his ONLY solution to provide me would to reopen an account that is not mine is crazy. Costco do better for your current and prospective customers. read more

Costco is a mad house with long checkout line. But for what it is, I am pretty happy with this Costco location (my go-to even though there are a few choices about the same distance). Inspired to write a review today after my visit this morning. As I walked in, I saw a gentleman (presumably working in the tire shop) helping an elderly customer to load a tire onto his trunk. As I was lining up for check out, this shopper helped a father and a son team shoppers with their 3 fully loaded shopping carts to push one of their carts. The folks working there are usually courteous and helpful. And if I don't mind walking a bit, I could almost always find parking pretty easily. I was just happy as I finished today's shopping, as I walked back to my car with a cart full of organic eggs, vitamins, veggies and berries, plus a pack of salad and a rotisserie chicken for a healthy, delicious and cheap lunch! PS. I was glad to see the smaller sized muffins in a pack of 8. So tempting. There were 4 flavors, chocolate, blue berry, cinnamon, lemon. I would have definitely bought one if they had a mixed 4-flavor pack or just chocolate and blueberry 4-4 pack. But until then, I would keep drooling when I walk by and be thankful that they don't have the mixed pack that I want. :) read more

The premade food selection is incredible, the salads, sandwiches, wraps, fish etc is all phenomenal. Pickup the croissants, muffins and cookies for a party or to enjoy all week long. The best prices on fish and meat! Come here to find everything from vacation deals, to furniture, cheap gas and electronics. I come here to do a large portion of grocery shopping and am always satisfied with the selection, prices and quality! Thanks to the hard workers here for keeping this location stocked, clean and accessible. Huge parking lot outside and easy to find. This location is in my hood and it seems to be crowded from 1:00pm - 3:00pm consistently! Especially when they put out the "free" food samples:) which causes heavy cart traffic and a lot of inconsiderate stopping in the middle of the aisles! Oy!!! It's pretty well stocked and they have added self checkout which is great if you only have a few items.
