This feels like the hidden Target. It's tucked away in an area of Van Nuys that at least I'm not in a lot and it's definitely not right on the street so it's not super visible to most people. I think that that leads to a generally less busy location. But even if they are busy, this place has a huge parking lot so there's a good chance you're going to find a spot quickly. The inside of the store has a layout slightly different than most Targets I'm used to so it takes me a few moments to get my bearings. But once I do, it's no problem. Staff here is friendly and helpful if you ask for it, but often are just either talking to other coworkers or restocking with a headphone in at least one of their ears. So....just like every other Target you're going to go to. So, if you want a peaceful Target experience, this might be a good option for you. Even if it is slightly out of the way for you. read more

I'll update from my last review two years ago. The store is consistently clean throughout. Inside is a Starbucks , but unfortunately can't order they thru the app. Alcohol is sold in the back , but as of the last last they are locked up. Also some beauty products are locked up. I guess it's not surprising in 2025. But still that's trouble if you need assistance. Parking is always ample. Usually there is only one cashier during the day , so self checkout is quicker. Mixed feelings about the employees, some are attentive /helpful - others are chatting up with other employees or on a phone. This store to me is a little hidden gem. it's not on a big street where you are driving by and see it. it's literally hidden so it's not busy and usually have many things that might be out of stock elsewhere. The staff is friendly the store is clean and very well stocked. This Target is a hidden gem. You can find a lot of products that are out of stock in other stores here. Last time I visited( five or six months ago) nothing was locked and you could get the products. I visited on Monday and most of the skin care products and other things were locked which is sad. Employees are usually nice and helpful. I would give 10 stars for the parking lot of this park. This location is normally good as it's kind of tucked away from the Main Street. It's like a if you know you know location. As everyone knows, it's a one stop shop for anything and everything. This particular visit, we picked up a couple of phot frames as they were but one get one half off. Signs were posted throughout the frames isles so they were pretty visible to see. When we checked out, it rang up a regular price for both. Mentioned to the cashier that it was half off second item. He proceeded to check on the phone which still rang up regular price. From there her called over another employee to see if she could pull it up on her phone. What was in poor taste, she said do we have a picture of the sign. First off, why would o walk around with a picture of the half off sign when it's posted all over the isle. You would think that they would have someone check to see if it was accurate but instead we had to walk back to physically take a picture of it ourself to prove to them that it was indeed half off second frame. And with that, we were holding up the line which was very inappropriate. I know signs are often changed here and there but get it together when it comes to things like. It's not professional when it comes to a situation like that asking the customer to leave the line and hold It up to bring back a picture of the sign when clearly there's other employees working the floor where they have them help out. read more

For those that know, we call this the hidden Target. Its not convenient to get to and its no where near a freeway or a busy street. Sometimes when I am in the area I like to visit this Target. I do find the things I need when my local Target doesn't have an item in stock. This Target is clean and for the most part well organized. Comparing to my local Target there are more check out lanes and more self served check outs. Other than that its just another option for Target. I really do dislike getting to this location as one way you come from an industrial area paralleled to a railroad tracks. The secret Target of the SFV!! Doesn't get more cool to explore than this one level cozy tucked away spot off Raymer Street... If you blink.. You'll miss it! I don't frequent this location, but do enjoy what they have in stock. It's always low foot traffic, smooth customer service and good organization. Pick up orders are easy, but so is plan old school shopping in-store. My friend Shaun who lives close by is a regular and always raves about Target on Raymer... Which has made me want to go a little further passed my more convenient location lately [ on Sepulveda/Hatteras - across from BevMo.. Where the Bevs go]. Parking lot is easy, almost never full and the restrooms are tip top. Our usual go-to Target is the two story one off of Sepulveda and Hatteras, but the Raymer location has some better qualities. Since it's off the beaten path, it's less crowded. Unlike Sepulveda, not everything is locked up so you can shop with peace of mind that you don't have to flag down an employee to open every little thing you need/want. They even have a hot food corner that serves fresh hot dogs & personal size Pizza Hut food (pizza, pasta, breadsticks, wings). Brings back memories of my broke ass middle school days! Some down sides: half the time the carts inside are empty, so grab one on your way in if there's some in the parking lot. The checkout lines are always long- half of the self-checkout machines are perpetually down and only two regular checkout lanes are open (once in a blue moon they'll open three). Two of the four front doors (the ones on the wall sides) are broken so use the middle ones to enter/exit. It's still Van Nuys so be aware of your surroundings if you eat/chill in your car. But Van Nuys is Van Nuys! Go to the Target on Raymer for an overall better shopping experience than you would have at other locations in the area. read more

I love shopping at Target. Always a go to spot to purchase merchandise. I'd rather go into the store to purchase over Amazon when I can. But I'll never ever purchase a 3rd party gift card again from them. I purchased $75 worth of Lowes gift cards as a present. When the person tried to use them the cards only had a 2 digit pin instead of a 4 digit. After phone calls with Lowe's they said they had zero balances and talk to Target. Beware of price markups at this location. Look at my picture. The heater I bought was $34.99 and it rang up as $39.99...so I had to leave the register and take a picture of the shelf price to prove myself. I like this Target because it is clean and the closest to me. One thing I do have to say is they always only have one or two cashiers open when it's super busy, I cant really blame the workers though if they're short staffed. If I need something quick I've used curbside pickup and it's very helpful with having 1 toddler and 1 baby. read more

Today 12/28/2024 I went to buy some things. Everything is fine with the target, but someone talk to the cashier Paul. I had a stressful moment while waiting about 8 minutes to pay for my things because the cashier Paul was flirting with a customer who was paying a bill for no more than 5 items. I've been coming to this target literally my whole life and recently it sucks lol. The new hires are so incredibly rude and just don't care especially the workers who are working the self check out. Idk if they're just young and don't know how to interact with people or what but it's bad. I absolutely love shopping at target. It's one of those places that every time I walk in, with rare exception do I ever leave empty-handed. I have been traveling for work and had forgotten a few things at home, so I figured I would run into target and just pick up some basics and leave it at that. This particular location is oddly configured and doesn't really match the layout that most of the target stores have. It made for a very odd shopping trip, which meant that I was in and out a lot faster than I normally would have been. This location also is much smaller than the average target store, which means of course they have less of everything. As I wandered up and down the various aisles looking for things, I noticed that there did not seem to be a huge salesforce/target employees restocking, helping customers etc. that I normally see in most of the targets that I shop at. As I made my way to the registers to pay for my purchases, I noticed that there was only one register open, and a lengthy line of people waiting to pay for their things etc. I don't understand the management of the store and why they would have only one register open during the day. Just went to buy a steam mop. And disappointed with the customer service...the price online is $49.99 and the same mop is at Walmart for $39.00. I had both pages pulled up on my phone for a price match. The lady at the register looked up Walmart on her phone and couldn't find it. I maneuverd through the apps and reloaded them to prove it was not a screen shot.. she then called gentleman over to help her. She quickly stated she found it but for 59.99 and he quickly said that he found it too but 59 aswell.it was the same exact item shipped and sold by Walmart that I had on my phone. The one she found was on the Walmart app but sold by a third party at 59.99 and told me she couldn't price match. Why would the price match be based off the third party. Every store is different w their pricing. I did not know that. Emily and Mariah are awesome! They found a way to get me the item at the price similar to the other store. They went and did some online a research and found out deals and came back and legit saved me so much money. Customer service at this location is above and beyond. This target is extremely out of my way, but I'd come since I know they have such great people working here and just the vibe is pleasant. Two of the sweetest people. I also rarely leave reviews. A month ago 25 Covid cases reported. Today 47. Lack serious Covid precautions. Zero security before 900am. Although several employees were working at that time I observed a person wondering around the makeup area touching products , trying on hats/sunglasses etc without a mask. No one told her anything. I had to go to a huddle of workers ( 6fts anyone?) gossiping , cough, er stocking , and one girl immediately confronted this person but no one followed her to make sure she kept her mask on. Not only did I not feel safe , I was upset that hardly no one stepped up. Another elderly woman in makeup looked at me blankly for several minutes before stirring into action. I already emailed the team leader . Going early makes no difference. Electronics usually late or on long breaks in the morning. Returns bad, one register opened and the cashier clearly new and untrained. Didn't know how to put paper to print receipt causing line at return before 9a. Just a mess overall . The lady cashiers are still awesome though... the Latina older women clearly love and take their job serious. They're still so nice. read more

We were shopping in the area and had a few hours to kill. We went here to see what was new in their store. First, it has a huge parking lot! Second, the store seemed fairly clean and brightly lit. I did like their display bins that looked like a red plastic carry tote. Their Christmas section was about 75 percent done. Two ladies were stocking it when I was browsing. This is my usual target. And I have never had an issue until today. My bank is with capital one 360. I have no choice but to go into target to make my deposits and withdrawals. I don't think it's fair to wait in a line with 59 ppl to make a deposit. I'm not trying to cut the line and go buy stuff, I'm literally going in for the atm.
