I had a prescription from my doctor that was sent in to be filled. Unfortunately this location did not have it, and I asked for the prescription to be transferred to a pharmacy that did. I was told by Sarah the intern pharmacist that could only be done by my doctor creating a new prescription, and sending it to the pharmacy that had the medication. She then cancelled my current prescription....I now have no existing prescription for my medication, and am out of luck until my doctor's office opens again on Monday. After looking into the topic, I quickly learned that pharmacies can absolutely transfer prescriptions, and it is common. Thanks Sarah. read more

This CVS is the one I prefer for my online orders. I usually order over the counter meds and beauty items to be picked up here. When I get the Text/email notification that my order is ready for pick up I just head straight to the front counter, give them my name and they pass me my package. Simple... The parking lot has plenty of spaces and it's pretty accessible to get in & out of. They do have a drive through window here but I have never used it. Made an appointment through the CVS app for a flu shot and arrived 15 minutes before the appointment time to check in. I made an appointment for myself, but couldn't make one for my daughter for some reason. Filled out paperwork and about 5 minutes later, we were sitting down to get our shots. The person who administered the shots was so nice and gentle to with my daughter and made her extremely comfortable. We were in and out in no time. Highly recommend! read more

The pharmacy has incompetent staff. I had a prescription with one refill left as stated on the bottle label. A slack and slow minded technician by the name of Sarah was no help. She stated that the medication was probably some other medication. I present the label and she didn't even look at it. She simply responded that it is not in the system. What an incredible apathetic and lethargic person. She seemed to only abide by what data presented without investigating initiative. This is the kind of people that companies hire and a good way to lose customers. I will be going to a different pharmacy other than CVS; and I will also shift my families medication to another pharmacy. read more

Not only that I went and had to wait for them to process the order and then they didn't have the item that showed in stock. What a waste of time. Updating my review but keeping ZERO stars. I have monthly medication I pick up from this CVS and every single month the price is different and I have to go into the store and spend 30 mins talking to them to make sure they are processing it correctly, that they have applied my savings card etc. Every single month it is wrong. Their staff and pharmacist (esp the rude blonde) just cannot be bothered. Very discouraging to have prescriptions that you can't access and zero assistance and care from the people who are there to "help". read more

This CVS pharmacy has a drive-thru! Making it super convenient to pick up prescriptions. The line in the drive thru always moves fairly quickly. The pharmacy drive thru is only for prescriptions and limited drug store items, but it's super convenient. This location has a nice sized parking lot. One downside to this location is that if you DO have to go inside, the checkout line always seems to move pretty slow. They never have enough people working the register and it just feels like you can end up waiting to purchase one or two items. The only other downside to this CVS that I see is that it's difficult to get into the parking lot unless your going south on Van Nuys or West on Burbank. And it's difficult to get out unless you're turning right. Drive thru pharmacies are the best! read more

Called the pharmacist to confirm how I should take my medication as I threw out the pamphlet & it was not written on the bottle. Spoke to the pharmacist ROSA who was screaming at me and gave me the wrong instructions! I later verified with another cvs pharmacy. Aside from the medication error (wrong instructions) I had to endure verbal misconduct (yelling) which violates professional standards. I asked for the pharmacy manager and she gave me a name only to turn the pharmacy phones off that day so I couldn't contact them to complain lol read more

Went to pick up a prescription at closing and the pharmacy would not help me. They closed their register and would not even speak to me. When I asked to speak to the manager, a staff member lied and told me she left for the day. When I asked for her name (Jennifer)all of a sudden she spoke up and said she was here because she heard me ask for her name. I explained to her that none of the 24 CVS locations had the medication I needed and that my prescription was filled and ready, I just needed to pick it up. It was an insulin and it was needed urgently. She didn't care and didn't help in any way cause "the registers were off". Needless to say, I moved my prescription to a different location. This pharmacy is unprofessional, their customer service sucks and they don't deserve your business. read more

On the corner of a busy traffic light - Burbank and Van Nuys Boulevard. Limited parking. Big enough, well lit and plentiful of sale products. I walked around the whole store and I can see that some areas are not being looked into. Shelves are indeed unorganized and empty. I saw a merchandiser restocking the chips. The people that work at this store are very nice and friendly. It isn't their fault that CVS does not staff the store with enough people to handle the traffic it gets. Pharmacist was rude over the phone. I called about a prescription and then I called a second time because I had another important question I forgot to ask. I repeated myself because I didn't realize I was speaking to the same person as before. Then she became attitudinal and said "I already told you etc." and "I can't work on the prescription if I'm on the phone." But as I said I didn't realize this was the same person I talked to before so it was just pretty rude. read more

I was in the drive through line at approximately 6:45. It was 7:03 by the time I was to be served. I was told by the pharmacy tech "sorry we closed at 7. Come back tomorrow we open at 9" I told the tech that I had an early flight out of LAX and needed the meds to take with me. I asked to speak with the manager and was told "it's no use, The manager would tell you the same thing" then the tech proceeded to close the window. read more

The CVS at Van Nuys Blvd and Burbank is a small location yet always clean and usually stocked up. Stopped in recently to take advantage of some expiring rewards member coupons and credits. I've never used the pharmacy here and can't speak to that at all, but will say I find most of what I need here and a few surprise items as well. They are limited in what they have and amid the current situation in the world are getting shopped harder than normal. I've never seen so many empty shelves in the snack and adult beverage areas here. They seem to have removed all shopping carts and hand baskets for the time being as I'm sure it was too much to keep up with and maintains for the time being so definitely bring a reusable bag to carry what you need or your own cart. This is a stand alone location in it's own lot, so easy to navigate with parking always available. read more

The few men in the pharmacy are always great, super helpful and professional. However, the women are a completely different story... they are dismissive, rude and lack customer service. I was recently discharged from the hospital and they sent my prescription to this CVS. I went straight from the hospital to the pharmacy, a young armenian or middle eastern woman looked at my paperwork and completely dismissed it saying it was incorrect, said there were no medications under my name and said I needed to call the hospital. I almost left without my medication because she gave me such a hard time. I came back into the pharmacy because I knew she had to have been WRONG (which she was) I got another worker who was able to help me and saw all the medications under my name. I complained to the manager about her. Not once did she take the time to carefully verify my paperwork or name correctly, or even have the decency to call the hospital to check!! A lot of these women are very racist and only go above and beyond for people that look like them or speak their same language.. it's absolutely abhorrent!! This is the type of terrible customer service that make me want to take my business elsewhere!! If you work in healthcare at any level you need to treat all patients with the same level of respect and decency and if you cant do that you have no business working in healthcare in this country! The store itself is five stars, but the pharmacy is zero. Always had good experiences at the front of the store, but had two scripts filled here, and each time I was treated like my existence was a personal offence to the Pharmacist. I politely asked questions about which medication I was given and got an angry "talk to your doctor and insurance company, that is not my job and you should have that information before you call in." I later asked how to take medication and received a "Read the label" Yikes! I have moved my pharmacy to the Ralphs across the street and we'll be going there for any scripts my family needs filled. Not sure if I will be returning to this CVS at all considering how unprofessional the highest paid individuals at this store behave. read more

Leslie was REALLY great with my son passport photos . She really made him look great and took her time to make sure his photo came perfect . She was really patient after several locations didn't have any patience with my toddler. In fact they didn't even try to make him laugh but Leslie won his heart to smile . I almost gave up but to my surprise I had a good experience I notice customers were being mean to the ladies in the register and they kept it together and Karina rang me up really well . She was a great multi tasker . People only complain because they spoiled rotten but these ladies and staff hold it down alone . I was get good service when I'm here . read more

This CVS location needs self checkouts and new registers. Some of the employees (and other customers) are rude. One specifically is a middle aged Hispanic man with long hair. He is despicable. I just want to pay for my items and not deal with attitudes. Also barely anyone can figure out how to do the cvs coupons. If I have a $5 or 40% off I'm waiting in line til they figure out how to use it. The line moves slowly so I assume other people have the same problem. We tried my coupon on one computer, didn't work. She takes me to another register and it worked on that one. System is probably from 1999. It's a problem most of the time. They have a smaller selection than others. Nothing fancy. I will never be back here and I'm looking forward to going to a better CVS read more

Pharmacy is understaffed and service is awful. If there's a delay getting medication in, no one calls to let you know. I've gone in three times to pick-up prescriptions that were ordered a week before only to be told come back tomorrow. When I've gone back, it's still not ready. I've been going to this store since it opened, but no longer. read more

This is one of the older stores in the chain and they are currently undergoing a facelift to join the Modern World. It should be complete with in a few months. The interior already is complete and is vastly improved. The pharmacy is very efficient and helpful as are the employees in general. Looking forward to the construction to be over. read more

Also employees make no attempt to speak in Spanish despite being in a predominately Spanish speaking neighborhood. I had to help translate for a fellow customer simply trying to pick up her prescription. Recommend going to nearby locations. read more

This is my go to CVS store! The cashiers are super helpful and greet you every time you come in. I give them major props to stay working through the Covid pandemic. The area has a high homeless population that come to steal and mess up the store, but they keep positive attitudes through it all. The only downfall is that they are out of certain products at times which can be major frustrating. read more
