This is a big store compared to the sun valley location, they do lock up most essentials here so you have to call staff to get your item. Large parking lot shared with other businesses as well. Pharmacy line is always so long and so slow. I know a lot of stores have problem with theft but this store seems to have more things locked down even laundry detergent. Lines are long at the cashier too. Staff is not always the friendliest. read more

They definitely need to hire more staff, this pharmacy is so busy and understaffed, everybody is always in such an unpleasant mood, unless it is a requirement that all staff should be unpleasant ‍ the lines are so long, specially after 2:00 PM. Wow just wow .... When I thought I couldn't give any worse reviews. Had an appointment for a PCR test for pre surgery required by the hospital. What a joke this whole covid test requirement is. I drive to the window, the lady gives me a test and asks to swab both sides for 15 seconds and put it in the tube and drop it in the box. So is this a pcr or a rapid test ???? And the hospital will honor this as a pcr. What a mess we are living in. read more

This CVS is about 20 minutes away from where I live, but I was able to book a COVID vaccine appointment here, the night when we became eligible. I was lucky to find something fast and it was our best option since we wanted to get a Pfizer vaccine. We got reminders so communication was good. The place is easy to find, in a big shopping center. Private lot. Big store, clean. At the entrance they have a table with a lady working it that handles the appointments. She did made a spelling mistake on my husband's card, the nurse made a new one for him after he got his shot. The restrooms are closed for most people, except the ones getting the vaccine because the tables for vaccination are situated in that hallway. I asked first since they tell you to drink a lot of water and I had a major need to use the restroom and they told me no, then they realized I was there for the vaccine and they opened it for me. The nurses were nice with me and my husband, barely felt anything. I did change to a closer location for my 2nd shot, but this place was decent for what we needed to do. It was fast, we were in and out in a half hour, 15 min waiting time included! read more

A nice place to pick up last minutes supply when other stores aren't open yet. I only come to this CVS when I need something last minute and I usually come early in the morning. I notice that this store isn't open 24/7 anymore. So I got here at 7am to get some cough drops and Gatorade. Everything was still in the same place and they have signs to help guide you. The store look somewhat organize and I was able to find everything I wanted. There was only 1 worker working when I went so I was able to just go to the cashier to pay for my items. read more

This store sadly is in a bad area of Arleta.CVS as a company usually, their stores are up to par. This location is one that I would not recommend to visit. The exterior is run down as well as the interior. As other reviews by other Yelpers about homeless people have stated, there is a lot of them around here. Its really sad. I just came and got a lot of candy and other items for this Halloween. The employees do try to do a good job, however its hard to do because of whats goes on in this area. So its understandable that we may not be greeted or even helped. I did observe a plan clothes security individual walking around. The other thing is people come up to you an beg for money. Very bad custumer service girl in number 5 was on register 1 when i came and printed out some coupons and obviously i put my old phone number witch i had changed it when i got the new phone number, well i try to use the coupon because it wasn't my money it was for a friend who had to go to work as well but no, the girl said i couldn't use the coupon i printed out with my old phone number that by luck i figure out to put but forgot at the register because she was telling me she couldn't help me because she was waiting for another custumer and told the girl i put it to printed it to get the coupon but i can remember witch one was, well she said no i need the phone number to accept the coupon and i told her i changed it with one of your associates last time i came, today i try to print the coupons and i was lucky one of the phones i try was my old one and now your telling me even that i have the coupons i can't use it when you guys never update the new number i gave you, well she seems new because she didn't even knew how to printed the recipe when i told her i want my money back she made me pass my cc again and could give me the recipe of the money back i wait for a couple of minutes and they complete ignored me telling me they where gonna call the police because i was getting upset because me and my friend where gonna be late for work after my friend was calling me and told her I'm gonna write a review on yelp surely the girl on number 4 with her attitude like a bitch boss told me your getting twice the money because she refund the money in your cc and i told her she didn't give me a receipt and she said the machine is not working so i was so mad because when i thought she didn't give me a reciept they refused to help me until i fund it but now the machine is not working and the girl in register 5 was only giving me a blank page and wanted me to sing it. Horrible service at this cvs location I call yesterday to the pharmacy and the lady that answered my call very rude and not helpful at all all I wanted if they can transfer my medication from my regular cvs to this one just because I'm staying close by, so I called my regular CVs pharmacy and told them if they can transfer my medication she said yes all I need it to do to give them a call and they can find me, well yeah but this lady she said she couldn't find me so I gave them another call and told them again what my regular pharmacist told me and finally she found me! So it's sad to say that even before COVID these guys have had horrible customer service in the Pharmacy department. The gentleman at 1:00 on the drop off section by all means is the rudest, has curly hair and Hispanic. Either this guy hates working during a pandemic or hates his job but he shouldn't be working with people as they are getting meds for conditions they need help with. His tone of voice was very very rude and also not very wise with his words. I get it during this pandemic things can be difficult but I also work during this pandemic with customer service and I know if that was service I gave someone at my work place it wouldn't be tolerated. Personally I decided to transfer my meds to a different pharmacy because of this persons attitude. Very unprofessional!!! They pre charged my moms prescription for delivery and after she told them not to deliver it because I was picking it up they cancelled the whole prescription. When I tried to reason with him he was actually rude and said my mom gave him a hard time about the charge so now I have to wait! Wow that's how they treat the elderly population. -5 stars read more

CHECK YOUR PRESCRIPTION FULFILLMENT QUANTITY CAREFULLY. The employees can be reckless in giving you the right quantity. The technicians and occasionally the Pharmacist will short change the quantity. This continues to be the most frustrating issue at this location. A 60 day supply 2X a day (per prescription) means 120 count. I have to sometimes educate staff here with simple math. Others, they are so busy they miss it. Be carefull. This has happened on 4 different occasions in 2017. They've already started 2018 with the same. read more

I have been a customer for CVS for years and friends and family members that have worked for CVS in the past so I've been a faithful customer till now. The past few visits have been very unpleasant. But today was the last straw. Like most American i depend on pharmacy's like CVS. I like many American have been told by my Dr. That i need to be more active and exercise. There for I tend to find an excuse to take a walk each day. Today I decided I was gonna take a 45 minute brisk walk to CVS that I now regret. I get to the pharmacy and like the past few visits there and issues with my order and was told it will take an hour. So at this point I'm not mad, just a little disappointed. But I decide to take a walk around the block. 45 minutes past by and I start walk-in back with the urge to use the bathroom. 15 minutes go by and I get to the store, by the way I take diuretic Rx. I ask an employee "Brian" if he can open the bathroom for me. He said it's not working. So unfortunately then I have to wait another 15 minutes for my proscription. When I get to the register at the pharmacy and finish my transaction (paying customer) I asked the pharmacy worker if she (Irma) can let me in the bathroom. Mind you she can see my medication i take and said "no." So I ask "is it broken? I heard some one in the woman's bathroom, can I use it?" Then she said it was policy not to let the public use the bathroom "workers only". I spoke to Brian an gave him another chance to let me in the bathroom but he got abrasive and so did I. He stated that the manager will say the same thing and that is it policy. So I said I will complain to corporate. He said "go ahead" I called corporate and found they have no way to process a complaint other then 9-5pm and no voicemail to leave a complaint. I like most People living in 2022 do not have patience to wait till tomorrow so. I am making it public today. I researched the policy public information for bathroom policy: All CVS stores have public bathrooms inside the store. The restrooms are open for use by CVS employees, customers, and the general public. However, CVS may keep its bathrooms locked to avoid abuse. In this case, you can request a CVS employee for the keys to access them. (literally Google it!) CVS is a publicly traded company meaning if you own shares in the company you own part of it. Your gonna ask were are "you getting with this"... So if you have a 401k a IRA or individual CVS stock you own part of this public company there for they have a certain obligation to the public. Not saying it as a state of entitlement but a reality about our economy. I will do what I didn't want to do, transfer my prescriptions to Walmart, 4 block away. Most of my family that live in this area has made the switch from CVS to Walmart for similar issues with customers service I hate to say I will do the same. Walmart is 3 blocks away has better customer service and my family has had a better experience. If you look at there reviews for Walmart. it reflects the difference. read more

I asked him where I could find a product and he didn't even bother to look at me and kept doing whatever he was doing, so I said "excuse me" once again and he said rudely "yes I am listening to you" while his head is still turned away from me. I then show him if he by chance saw the product I was looking for because I couldn't find it in the aisle it was supposed to be in. I came here to pick up an order for my sister and they told me I had to get her insurance Even though I've picked up for her before. Now I'm in another line waiting again for God know how long, and the lady that assisted me the first time was extremely unhelpful and rude. This was my go to neighborhood pharmacy store until today! I had such a unbelievably horrible experience. Today i walked in for baby medicine for my son and the security tells me to leave as soon as i walk in, he gave me no chance to even ask why this is unbelievable i have never been treated this way. STAY AWAY!!! I sat in the drive thru fro 20 minutes.The always VERY rude woman at the window told me it was not ready. It was called in on 1/10/19 by the doctor. When the pharmacy contacted me they said that they were putting them back on the shelf. I said I ONLY wanted the Ilevro.and would be in on Saturday. It was now $3.80 for less than an once of product, which was $1.25. It also was to be a generic. When I tried to call the pharmacy, I was hold for over 22 minutes. This is a constant issue. The pharmacy is always understaffed, and I have talked to 3 managers about the rude woman at the window. As I have spent a lot of money and wasted dozens of hours in long lines in and out of the pharmacy, and am now on hold with your customer serve phone line for 19 minutes, I am totally disgusted with CVS and it's operations. read more
