The pharmacists are great. The counter staff is mostly great. It's difficult to speak to anyone over the phone, but I've found that going to the pharmacy and waiting to speak to someone always pays off. It takes some experience to know when the best times are to pick up prescriptions. Sometimes there is no wait, some times it is 10 to 20 minutes.

Either for lunch (the posted time was different on the internet) or, like today, they had some random reason on the front door. This, to me, shows a level of unprofessionalism not expected at a pharmacy. Do they even care about their community?

Last time I forgot it while out of town, I was able to buy one at CVS. So naturally, I went to CVS in Solvang but to my surprise they did not have any form of a wrist brace. So my only option now was Rite Aide. I was crossing my fingers they had one. It was about 8:00pm on a Saturday and when I walked in the store was empty and a clerk was stocking merchandise. She greeted me immediately and asked if she could help me find anything. I told her what I was looking for and she confirmed they did carry the item and she led me to the shelf. She even looked over the options to find the one most like the one I described. I was so excited they had it! It was a bit pricier than I paid on my last purchase for it but I was just happy they had it in stock. It was such a huge relief to know I could sleep that night.

So if I needed a prescription for antibiotics like when I caught pneumonia, mine was filled very quickly. Then after I got married and had children and they would get ear infections in daycare and pre school Fred is the one I would go to. Then he bought his own Reliable pharmacy and it still is the same. You never wait longer than 10 minutes. Fred is a Doctor of pharmacology which means he knows what every drug will do for you or to you. He gives out sage advice and talks to everyone as though he would talk and look out for his own family. He really cares about his patients! The name Reliable is a spot on name for this store because for every aspect done in this store, whether it be giving vaccines, or helping people to decide which vitamins to take or asking questions about a procedure they are thinking of having done or a drug to consider taking, he weighs it heavily with much thought and wisdom and gives you his answer. Also he will catch drug interactions and quickly call your Doctor up and say "I can't give them this drug because it will interact with what he or she is taking which in the ends keeps you safe. He's on top of it! His store is always clean and sanitary. They also sell nick nacks as well as jewelry and all holiday items. They have Brown Bag sandwiches which are really delicious and nutritious. Most hospitals buy these for their patients in case they get hungry in the middle of the night. They also sell baby items there, toys and ambulatory supplies as well as bandages and some His staff are amazing!!!! Mina has been with him for years and does a variety of right hand stuff for him. I have seen her very , very busy and yet she just smiles, is kind and warm and makes her patients feel as though everything will be okay. If anything is wrong in the price for your drug or the prescription, she will catch it and correct it right away. Jay is another great employee! She is always smiling, and works hard.
