Fred is the owner of this Drug Store but I first met him at the age of 20 when I was a grocery checker for Vons. The one thing people would say about him is you never have to wait longer than 10 minutes to get a prescription filled. So if I needed a prescription for antibiotics like when I caught pneumonia, mine was filled very quickly. Then after I got married and had children and they would get ear infections in daycare and pre school Fred is the one I would go to. Then he bought his own Reliable pharmacy and it still is the same. You never wait longer than 10 minutes. Fred is a Doctor of pharmacology which means he knows what every drug will do for you or to you. He gives out sage advice and talks to everyone as though he would talk and look out for his own family. He really cares about his patients! The name Reliable is a spot on name for this store because for every aspect done in this store, whether it be giving vaccines, or helping people to decide which vitamins to take or asking questions about a procedure they are thinking of having done or a drug to consider taking, he weighs it heavily with much thought and wisdom and gives you his answer. Also he will catch drug interactions and quickly call your Doctor up and say "I can't give them this drug because it will interact with what he or she is taking which in the ends keeps you safe. He's on top of it! His store is always clean and sanitary. They also sell nick nacks as well as jewelry and all holiday items. They have Brown Bag sandwiches which are really delicious and nutritious. Most hospitals buy these for their patients in case they get hungry in the middle of the night. They also sell baby items there, toys and ambulatory supplies as well as bandages and some His staff are amazing!!!! Mina has been with him for years and does a variety of right hand stuff for him. In other words she is competent, gone to school, got her degree and takes care of everything. I have seen her very , very busy and yet she just smiles, is kind and warm and makes her patients feel as though everything will be okay. If anything is wrong in the price for your drug or the prescription, she will catch it and correct it right away. Jay is another great employee! She is always smiling, and works hard. She is not ever idle. Her warmth and charm will light up a room and draw people in. This is my favorite pharmacy and I will be a forever patient. read more

So glad I found reliable pharmacy! We had years of issues with other pharmacies in the area trying to get RX's filled, including one pharmacist refusing to fill an RX (for a non controlled substance) because they thought the RX was suspicious, and referred to their "clinical team' to review. None of that has been a problem with reliable pharmacy! Reliable is always prompt, and courteous when I call to refill things, and we have never had a problem in the last 9 months since switching to them. When we have needed medicine delivered, they are prompt and courteous, and always let us know if there will be a delay. the only thing that would make reliable pharmacy better is if they started offering compounding services, but for our non compounded meds, this is the place! Quite frankly, this place is unreliable. For three months in a row, I have used the automated system to refill a prescription and have been given a projected time that the medication would be ready for pick up (10 or 11 am). The medication wasn't ready a single time...and I went hours after the projected time. Each time when I showed up, I was told the medication had to be ordered and would be ready after 4 pm. The first time it happened, I was told I would be called when it was ready. I never received a phone call and when I called the following morning...I was given an insincere apology. These experiences, combined with the inconvenience hours (close at 6 pm on weekdays, earlier on Saturday, not open at all on Sunday) have me ready to switch over to another retailer. read more

This is by far the WORST pharmacy you could ever buy from. Even though they promised me that medical equipment is returnable if still in sealed package, unused, unopened, with receipt, if recently purchased, they will try to cheat you out of some or all of your money, claiming: "Oh, we gave you a 10% discount", or "We don't accept returns"!!!! Then when you finally get them to refund your credit card, they will not include the tax, saying: "Oh but the tax only is added when it reaches your credit card and doesn't show on your refund receipt". Really???? Three of the women employees there were all in on it, supporting each others' lies. A few years ago I had the same issue but forgot about it. This is the second time! Only decent thing about this pharmacy is you never have to wait more than 15 minutes or so. However, my last experience, the Pharmacist didn't read the prescription properly. He gave me the wrong dose! That could have endangered my life. To me, health and safety should be of the upmost importance. He didn't even apologize when I bought it to their attention, but instead offered a quick fix and tried to shrub it off so I wouldn't report him to the CA Department of Pharmacy, which I have. I would not go here if it was the last pharmacy on earth! We had an incredibly horrible experience there last week. I broke both ankles during a fall during a rainstorm last week and my husband drove me to my doctor's office which is in the same building as this pharmacy. The only close parking spot was one that belonged to the pharmacy so being an emergency, we took it. My husband ran in and got a wheelchair and we were trying to get me out of the car and into the wheelchair when someone who works at this pharmacy came running out into the parking lot - in the pouring rain - screaming about people parking in their spots. My husband said 'Can't you see what is going on here - my wife is severly injured and I'm trying to get her out of the rain and into her doctor." He said "This is a hospital -everyone has a problem!" and a few things I would not care to repeat. Fortunately, a handicapped spot opened up right then - we had a pass - and I told my husband to move the car as I sat in a wheelchair in the rain. I was worred we would come back out and our car would be gone if we didn't and then where would we be with it raining and me not able to walk! Now, I understand that the pharmacy pays for these parking spots for it's customers - I get that - but in a situation like this - a little compassion is a huge thing and worth far more than a parking spot. If a person does not get understnad that, then - in my opinion - they do not belong in any aspect of the medical profession. This man was out of control - cussing, screaming, running through the parking lot and I was just hoping my husband would not approach him for fear this man would have swung at him. He could see what was going on. He could see that I was in agony and crying and that we were struggling to get me into a wheelchair since I couldn't stand. If this man had just been a decent human being, my husband would have told him he would just get me inside and then come right back out and move the car. But no, this supposed pharmacy professional just ranted and raved and didn't give a - well you know what word goes here! Outrageous behavior from a person supposedly in the health profession. People in the lot were staring - not believing what they were hearing or seeing and yes, this man had a blue smock on so anyone familiar with the pharmacy knew where he worked. Came today, to get some antibiotic drops for my stye. Stupid CVS had me waiting 20 mins to say they would have to order it! I was getting an X-ray next door, so I decided to see if I could get it filled here. They were not busy when I went in, but they did have to call CVS to transfer my prescription. I waited a bit more than 20 minutes, but when I asked the girl she said it was now ready. They are friendly here, but the wait can be long at times. read more

Stay away from the pharmacist (Allison?) She is nasty, rude, condescending, and can care less about you as a patient. She was rushed, irate, difficult to speak with, everything you don't want from your pharmacist. She spoke so quickly, and if you ever asked her to repeat what she said, she actually told me no. Wow. Never have been treated this way by even the busiest CVS. There is no excuse for that attitude, even if you are having a bad day. read more

Each time I've come here they've been quick to fill my prescriptions and their location is convenient. One occasion they didn't want to fill my prescription until the pharmacist spoke with my doctor, which I can understand. Since my dr's office was already closed, they said they would give me a call the following day after they spoke with her. Its been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard anything. Hi Fred I think you need to change your policy for the customer restrooms. Asking for collateral to use the facilities is absurd. Coming with a script in hand from my MDs office, I asked for a restroom key. Claudia ' s response was "I'll need your car keys". I thought she was kidding. but I felt uncomfortable so I said no. Then she asked rudely," then you have to give me something". I'd understand if I was a transient or some shady person going to vandalize the place but I "was" a paying customer, with a script in hand. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had with a Pharmacy. I am shocked by how unprofessional and pushy, plus annoying they were. I used to try to support Mom and Pop pharma, just because. But this place changed my whole perspective. They wasted a bunch of my time. They have a computer that admittedly kicks people out after a year. The have a basically dumb ass managing the place and a staff that has no idea what is going on. They have the gall to not fill certain prescriptions, even written by local reputable doctors, just because! I'd imagine by listening to them on the phone that they should lay off the meds THEMSELVES! I am a disabled person. I have enough problems already, I don't need my Pharmacy to be one more! From now on I do only big box pharmacies. At least THEY know how to treat me with respect. read more

This place is awesome we had an emergency involving broken bones and went in hoping to pick up the pain meds. The Dr hadn't called the prescription in yet and they were closing in about five minutes. My husband was terminally ill and we got pain patches there, the head pharmacist was short and rude, we tried to ask if there was something else we could do. I was treated as if we were imposing on him. He was loud and very disrespectful to a dying man and his wife! I told him that I worked at Northridge Hospital, and with out skipping a beat, he said I don't care if you are the president. We quickly transferred all of our prescription to oak hills pharmacy in West Hills, Now that's a wonderful Pharmacy with a great staff. When I had my choice of pharmacies, Reliable was always where I went. Unfortunately, since my insurance now limits all my meds to one large chain, I've had no choice by to go there. Today, my chain called to tell me they could not get my meds and didn't know when they'd be in stock in the foreseeable future. They told me to find the meds elsewhere and they would transfer the prescription temporarily. Well, even on this one-shot arrangement, the pharmacy staff went out of their way to make this happen. They had to take special steps and work things out with my current facility. Then, when I couldn't figure out my insurance ID information (I had not needed it for several years) - they tracked that information down, too. To top it all off, they produced a special coupon - and, after all the time the Reliable staff put in on this one prescription, they ended up charging me only $4.
