Please do not go to this Walgreens. It has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. The manager, Maribel, always seems to be in a bad mood, no matter what day it is. She often comes across with an attitude, slams items around, and makes customers feel like they're an inconvenience. Even simple products like Colgate toothpaste are locked up, and when you ask for assistance, she responds as if she doesn't want to help. The only positive experience I've had is with Leo, the cashier. He is always kind, patient, and respectful to customers. Another ongoing issue is that the store's machines frequently break down, and customers are made to feel like it's somehow their fault. The store also doesn't seem to have much in stock. I've noticed other customers complaining that no one comes when they ask for help, and when someone finally does, they often seem annoyed or upset about having to assist. Since many people in this neighborhood are elderly, it was especially upsetting to see them being treated this way. I hope management addresses these issues because every customer deserves to be treated with respect. read more

I stopped by the store today to check whether the fans were still on sale, and the experience was extremely disappointing. As soon as I walked in, an employee named Mari, who had long eyelashes, immediately seemed to assume the worst and began following me around the store. It made me feel uncomfortable from the moment I entered. When I got to the register, a second employee wearing a face mask started ringing up my purchase and immediately asked for my ID before I had even finished placing my items on the counter. Then Mari came over and inserted herself into the transaction. If one employee has already started helping a customer, let that employee finish the transaction instead of taking over. It was unnecessary and made the interaction even more uncomfortable. I'm a paying customer--not someone there to steal. In fact, my last purchase at your store was a good one. Customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect, not suspicion the moment they walk through the door. Both employees came across as rude, unprofessional, and more focused on making customers feel uncomfortable than providing good customer service. Mari's behavior, in particular, made me feel watched and unwelcome throughout my visit. The employee wearing the face mask was equally unfriendly during the checkout process. Management should seriously address the level of customer service at this location. A store should be welcoming, not a place where customers feel judged or profiled from the moment they walk in. I sincerely hope management provides additional customer service training or considers staffing changes if this is how customers are being treated. Awful Walgreens, that's all I can say. I originally went to the one closer to my home, but had to come here because they only had the prescription I needed. Came in and went to the pharmacy, and the staff who helped me were no help. Also, I was waiting for my prescription to be ready and had to use the restroom. I asked the pharmacy, and they told me to go to the front. I went to the front and told them I'm waiting, and immediately the woman at the counter said, "NO PUBLIC RESTROOM". I again explained to her and told her the pharmacy sent me to the front, and at the end I wasn't able to use the restroom. Would never come here ever again! My wife and I stopped by this Walgreens because it was across the street from her doctor office. She had a doctor note to get some medicine so she thought it would be quick to fill up at Walgreens pharmacy. There parking in the back so you don't have to look for street parking unless they are full. The pharmacy is toward the back of the store on the left side. This pharmacy had two people working the window which is different from the Walgreens near my house because it's usually one person and they take forever to help people. We had an experience where an old lady cut in front of three people when she said she was just going to ask someone a quick question but she took like over ten minutes. The pharmacy workers didn't say anything to her and just tried to help her. The Walgreens staff are very friendly and helpful when we were here. The bathroom is on the second floor so you'll have to take the elevator or stairs to get to it. read more

I've had problems with two different prescriptions on two completely separate occasions, and every time I deal with them it feels like a headache waiting to happen. The pharmacist I spoke to today was unbelievably rude. She talked to me like I was bothering her just by asking a basic question. She was dismissive, impatient, and honestly made the situation feel worse than it needed to be. If you can avoid this pharmacy, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I've come into this Walgreens a handful of times for various items as its location is within walking distance of my workplace. But as of today, I'm done. I have a very painful headache and needed relief. Walked in shortly before 3pm on 2/25/2026. Ask the cashier where I can find excedrine, I'm sure she meant isle 27 but she said 28. It took me a couple painful minutes to learn she was wrong. Eventually I found the pain relief section on the wall outside of aisle 27. I pressed the required button to get help with a key..... FIVE FULL MINUTES.... Absolutely nothing. Not even an acknowledgment of my existence. Walked back up to the front and spoke to the same lady "I've been back there for 5 minutes after pushing the button, no help" she got on the intercom and repeated to the whole store that a customer needs help in the pain relief department. I stood there next to the pain relief that's locked behind an employee provided key for another full 5 minutes, absolutely nothing. Nobody spoke to me, confronted me, nothing. I walked into this Walgreens with desperate need for pain relief, and walked out pissed and ignored and STILL in severe pain. I will never be back. While it's a convenient location and the store is small and easy to navigate, the pharmacy leaves something to be desired. Call in a prescription and automation says it's ready at such and such time. Call to make sure it's ready and, after being on hold with what is the worst on hold funeral dirge musak, nope, it's not ready. She says she will fax the doctor for approval. 24 hours later check again, go through the automation - sorry, cannot find your prescription; connecting you to the pharmacy. Wait 8 minutes on hold before she answers. Sounds like the same woman I spoke with yesterday but she gives no sign of voice recognition. Okay. it's busy there. Again I give birthdate and phone number. "Your doctor did not approve the refill. You should call and ask them." Call the doctor's office and she calls it in right away. Three hours later call again check to see if it's ready - mind you this is a small already prepared bottle of eyedrops; not pills that need to be counted out and poured into a container. Automation says, "I'm sorry there's been a mistake, the pharmacy's hours are... blah blah we take a one hour break for lunch blah blah." Connected to a human (same person) who says, "It will be ready for pick up at 4:36." Not 4:30; not 4:35; not 4:45, you see. Precisely at 4:36. So we shall see if it is indeed there at the counter when we arrive at 4:36. Not 4:35. Impersonal, joyless tone, annoyed to have to deal with a customer and unconcerned over the urgency. It's not everyone at the pharmacy mind you. But this particular individual is quite a challenge. She brings down what would be a nice rating to a 3 and that's because the parking is good with some shady spots, the store has a nice selection of cards, nail polish and bandaids, the cashiers are friendly. read more

I've been going to this pharmacy the last few years and I don't know why I haven't written a review! I've always had wonderful interactions with the pharmacists, Vy and Tina. And all of the pharmacy techs are so kind and compassionate, especially Rakell! I love that they help you reach out to your provider if there's a discrepancy in your medication order or prescription. They help to alleviate the stress. They're also very kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They try to be as quick as they can with filling prescription orders, which I appreciate. I love that they also ask if you have any questions about your medication (especially new ones) to ensure that you understand how to take them and what side effects to watch out for. Sung worked out the issue and called us to keep us informed all the way through resolution of the problem. I guess it's been awhile since I last reviewed this store. My last review was 5 years ago after a bad accident and I've been coming back regularly ever since. The pharmacy is generally pretty good - although I recently came there to get a shingles shot (I'm way under age 50 but my doc recommended I get it). We got as far as the pharmacist himself - putting me in the room with loaded syringe, only to look at my DOB and see that I am not yet 50. He said he could not give me the shot, but that he'd go check with somebody to see if maybe he could. Ultimately, he could not. The other pharmacy employees are pretty nice usually. You have to have tons of patience to work in a pharmacy and deal with the dregs of humanity, it's like the post office. As for the rest of the store - it's about like any other Walgreens. Unless you shop there a lot, you'll pay their high prices for everything. I've been a photo customer (yeah call me Mr. Stone Age but I love printed photos) for 10-15 years now, I love their 50% discounts and take full advantage of those. The Tarzana location has a newer guy working in the front, really cute Latino about 5'6" who just makes me melt every time I see him. He is just way too nice and would not hurt a fly, which makes him an unlikely Walgreens worker (most of them are either indifferent or just downright rude, which is why I quit going to the two Canoga Park locations which were both terrible as far as employee kindness goes.) Ways to improve...bring the prices down on more stuff. I know there are discounts for various things but do even more of it. Also, there are some employees of your store who smoke cigarettes. It's definitely a bad image for your store to see someone in a Walgreens uniform/jacket standing like 10 feet from the front door with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. You guys are a PHARMACY, for crying out loud. This isn't the 1950s anymore, where everyone still smokes. Smoking is over. But if someone who works for you needs to smoke, they need to do it in a back alley or at least far away from the main door. There are plenty of alleyways behind this Tarzana store location. If I could give zero stars I would. I attempted to fill my first prescription there, Tarzana Walgreens after the Encino Store closed. It was for a narcotic which I have taken many times in the past. I am a senior on SS for context, and I have been going to the same doctor for years and he is well aware of my pain issue. The pharmacist, Tina, continued to request additional information INCLUDING a TREATMENT PLAN, A PLAN TO WEAN ME OFF AND ALL PROGRESS NOTES. Is this her business? Honestly she went way too far. PLUS, each time my doctor sent what she requested, she said it wasn't enough! When I called and asked what exactly did she want/need. She unbelievably said that if my amazing doctor was REPUTABLE he would know exactly what to send. When I discussed this with another pharmacist he said that all of this WAS NOT NECESSARY and that I should report her to the Pharmacy Board. I will NEVER go to Walgreens Tarzana again. I just received a letter announcing the closing of the Reseda store ONE WEEK after it CLOSED also announcing they had sent my information to CVS WITHOUT ANY notice indicating their upper management has NO CONCERN for their customers since my medication ran out causing me problems then having to move it from CVS and order it to the Tarzana location where the store manager was very helpful. I have been a customer for years but no longer as i am moving everything to my medical groups pharmacy and suggest everyone do the same. If I could give this place a negative star I would!! I came into the store to fill a prescription. As I was waiting in line I kindly asked an associate where their restrooms were. He responded by telling me that they don't have a public restroom that I could use. I told him that it was an emergency and that I was PREGNANT. His response was the exact same. I find this "policy" COMPLETELY unacceptable! THIS IS A PHARMACY! Literally, the next step to an urgent care facility and they don't let PAYING customers use their restrooms?!? I'm pretty sure this is illegal is some way. I would really hate to this this was an act of racism, but I'm completely flabbergasted that a company whose in the business of selling prescriptions and medications deny their customers access to their restrooms. After it was very clear that I was NOT able to use their restrooms. I decided to call corporate. I have NEVER called a companies corporate office to complain...EVER! But this was beyond unacceptable! The only thing I could think about was was all the pregnant women, elderly people and children being denied access to a SIMPLE restroom?!?!? I also decided to talk to the manager about this matter & he explained that due to people going into the restrooms and "making a mess" he has decided to "close off the restrooms". I explained to him why it was important to allow PAYING CUSTOMERS access to the restrooms regardless of the cleanliness. I also told him that I DID call corporate to file a complaint.
