This is probably the most responsive and helpful pharmacy that I have ever been to. My grandparents…read morehave been coming here for years, but I stuck with my local Rite Aid pharmacy. My son recently tested positive for flu and was prescribed Tamiflu, which as it turns out of out of stock at every major pharmacy (Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS) and needed to be back ordered, which would take days. I called Five Star, which not only had it in stock, they got it ready within an hour. Michelle, the pharmacist, was extremely helpful and gave detailed instructions for use, dosage and store. I couldn't be more relieved to have found this place! Thank you Five Star and Michelle!

Fred is the owner of this Drug Store but I first met him at the age of 20 when I was a grocery…read morechecker for Vons. The one thing people would say about him is you never have to wait longer than 10 minutes to get a prescription filled. So if I needed a prescription for antibiotics like when I caught pneumonia, mine was filled very quickly. Then after I got married and had children and they would get ear infections in daycare and pre school Fred is the one I would go to. Then he bought his own Reliable pharmacy and it still is the same. You never wait longer than 10 minutes. Fred is a Doctor of pharmacology which means he knows what every drug will do for you or to you. He gives out sage advice and talks to everyone as though he would talk and look out for his own family. He really cares about his patients! The name Reliable is a spot on name for this store because for every aspect done in this store, whether it be giving vaccines, or helping people to decide which vitamins to take or asking questions about a procedure they are thinking of having done or a drug to consider taking, he weighs it heavily with much thought and wisdom and gives you his answer. Also he will catch drug interactions and quickly call your Doctor up and say "I can't give them this drug because it will interact with what he or she is taking which in the ends keeps you safe. He's on top of it! His store is always clean and sanitary. They also sell nick nacks as well as jewelry and all holiday items. They have Brown Bag sandwiches which are really delicious and nutritious. Most hospitals buy these for their patients in case they get hungry in the middle of the night. They also sell baby items there, toys and ambulatory supplies as well as bandages and some His staff are amazing!!!! Mina has been with him for years and does a variety of right hand stuff for him. In other words she is competent, gone to school, got her degree and takes care of everything. I have seen her very , very busy and yet she just smiles, is kind and warm and makes her patients feel as though everything will be okay. If anything is wrong in the price for your drug or the prescription, she will catch it and correct it right away. Jay is another great employee! She is always smiling, and works hard. She is not ever idle. Her warmth and charm will light up a room and draw people in. This is my favorite pharmacy and I will be a forever patient.

Even stranger because we live well over an hour away from this pharmacy. I now assume he knows the owners or is related. They must charge the insurance a bundle to hand deliver the meds by courier. Which was also shady. Btw, someone had to be home to sign every time, which was a pain. They also kept sending the meds, even when we had said we switched pharmacies! The kicker was when we had our credit card info stolen/misused by TNH.

I'm extremely disappointed with the pricing practices at ABC pharmacy…read more I was initially quoted $365 for my methadone prescription, and when I called back just two weeks later, the price had jumped to $565 with no clear explanation. That kind of sudden increase is unacceptable. After doing my own research and calling around, I was able to get the exact same medication at another pharmacy for just $66. Methadone is a very inexpensive medication .20 cent a pill so this kind of markup feels excessive and, frankly, like price gouging. Patients rely on pharmacies for fair and consistent pricing, especially for essential medications. Situations like this create unnecessary stress and make it hard to trust that you're being treated fairly. I would strongly recommend that others call around and compare prices before filling prescriptions here. Oh, on top of that, the main reason why I'm recommending not going to them. They are rude mean men.

There's something uneasy and depressing about a store that- for YEARS- has pushed their agenda for…read more'wellness' and 'caring'- and yet is impersonal and downright rude in terms of actual customer service. KEVIN, the "Manager", is disinterested in helping customers, this is the third interaction with him where he's been hurt and makes it clear that he'd rather you go to another store than have to deal with anything less complicated than pulling something off the shelf. Note that this issue came up with Kevin a year ago, and he's consistently uncaring if it doesn't suit his agenda or his timetable. That that's not how you handle loyal customers. They employ one "homeopathist", who apparently splits their time between stores, and was not available the three times we called. Apparently, she runs her own business and puts more of her time and energy in that then in being on site for walk-in customers. Did manage to schedule a call with the owner, we'll see if that makes any difference in how this rather entitled staff handles loyal customers. Called on a Thursday around 3:30 to see if they had anything to help me address what felt like a hard-hitting cold or flu, RIGHT before a 4 day business trip starting that evening. Got transferred inadvertently to the pharmacist - a woman who was lovely and took the time to go through over-the-counter options. She said she would put them aside for me at the register. I literally jumped in my car and headed over- and traffic being what traffic is at that time, wound up right at the correct exit at about 5:15 (they close at 5:30). Called the store, got someone named "Kevin" who said they were 'already closing up for the evening' (? it's 5:15, but okay). I plead that I'd been in the car for close to 45 minutes for what should have been a 20 minute commute, and could I please purchase the items, perhaps they could just leave them outside or with a neighbor. NOTE that I've been frequenting this business for close to 30 years, and like so many businesses, have observed what used to be genuine kindness and care for customers dwindle along with the rest of the retail culture. So Kevin again repeats he's 'already closing the register' and cannot help me. I manage to park and make it to the front door at EXACTLY 5:31. EXACTLY. The store is already gated and there is Kevin - RIGHT by the front door - and he ignores my knocking. Yes. This 'caring' business about wellness that knows I am trying to beat a horrible cold before travel chooses to IGNORE the 30-year-loyal customer because it's uncomfortable for Kevin to show some compassion or kindness. He waves for me to go away. I plead that the pharamacist left everything right there at the register, could I just please pay cash and get my items after being in traffic for close to an hour? Again, he ignores me. That will be my last trip to Capitol Drugs. Caring and wellness, this place is definitely NOT about. And Kevin: I hope you never are on the receiving end of the unkindness you showed this 30-year-loyal customer... WOULD GO TO KING'S DOWN THE ROAD with far cheaper pricing for the same Chinese and Homeopathic remedies at 1/3 the cost of the re-branded Capitol Drugs items.
