ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! I cannot say enough great things about this pharmacy and the staff especially the pharmacist Irina. Such an amazing person. West Val is not our home pharmacy seeing that we do not live in the area. Our babies GI dr is in the building next door and recommended going to them because they could compound our daughters meds. Best decision ever. Not only did they take the time to explain to me what compound medicine actually is in the beginning, they went out of their way each time to get the meds authorized by our insurance ahead of time to save us money. Irina is always very welcoming to both myself and my husband each time we had to get new meds. She takes the time to welcome us by name, discuss the health issue our baby is going through and really is just warm and helpful each time we go in. During this time with our baby being sick, it is very nice to have someone really there listening and concerned and willing to help. Just this week we unfortunately had to get another new med for our baby with hopes it's the last one Not only was this medicine $6,000 but there wasn't a pharmacy in town that had the liquid version. The manufacturer of the medicine was no help and every pharmacy we called their wholesalers couldn't get it either. We were stuck. UNTIL Irina went out of her way and spent the day calling around and found a local specialty pharmacy that could order it for us. Not only that but she sent over all of our information including a coupon for the medicine which made it only $50. HUGE!!!! I'm sorry, but there isn't a pharmacy in town that would go over and beyond like this one did. If you want great customer service, knowledgeable advice and personal care this is the place to go. This place used to be great. My mother came here when it first opened in 1959 or 60- And I have been using W. Val since 1975. The former pharmacist Sue and the rest of the staff really treated me (And everyone) well My little chihuahua dog had had hydrocephalus and they mixed a special complex compound every month for 10 years for him. When I ruptured my back and needed to be on a very controlled substance patch- which had to be removed and replaced every 3 days. In I went twice a week- and someone always promptly took care of me. (For almost a year) I was so grateful for their kindness that when I moved to the desert about 7 years ago- I continued to have my meds filled at West Val and sent to me. I spend about $200 per month out of pocket and figured- (Given our long association)I would rather pay it to W. Val- if I had to pay some place. I would call my doctor or W. Val would call him and once authorized my prescriptions were sent down here. I have been on Disability since 2001- And since then have taken the same 3 medications at the same dosage. Now granted- These are controlled substances. But my records will show that after 21 years-not once have I ever misused them. So imagine my shock when about 3 or 4 years ago- I called in my prescriptions and the lady who answered the phone read me the riot act. I think it was a holiday weekend and my 30 day prescription would run out on a Sunday. (They are closed on Sunday and a holiday weekend leaves me 3 days without my medications) One of these meds is the kind you can't just stop. Your body will go into seizures. She screamed at me that if I couldn't wait an extra day or two. I must be a drug addict. and needed to go to Rehab. I had no clue who this person was ranting and raving at me. And then I found out that West Val had been sold and this lovely woman on the other end of the phone was Irina- The new owner and pharacist. Somehow- Some way- This was straightened out- And although many people told me to never use them again. I continued. Irina and I for the most part had an amicable relationship. (Despite the not so subtle remarks she would make to me on occasion.) And then- suddenly out of the blue- She announced to me that she would no longer fill my prescriptions. Something about my age (65) and the meds and how my prescription dosages never changed. (Her implication was that I had not ever cut down from the prescribed dosage. The dosage prescribed by my doctor of over 30 years!) This woman has the balls of a brass monkey and the same sort of compassion as well. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WEST VAL PHARMACY TO ANYONE ANYWHERE FOR ANY REASON!!! read more

Beware of this pharmacy. They lie saying certain medications are not covered by insurance (when they are) and jack up copays. They've been charging me $60/month and then $90 this month and Blue Shield says the copay is $5! So lets get after it, I called this afternoon to ask a question. from the Pharmacist. I was met with anger, rudeness, and hostility! It was more than just being unprofessional. I told her she needs to go to Business School and get a degree, or a finishing school for polite, telephone manners!! We all have so many choices of pharmacies to include CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aide just to mention a few! Now having said this I can understand her demeanor, if you had to stand behind a counter and count pills all day long, and place a label on a plastic bottle, well, can you possibly imagine anything in this world more boring, and uninteresting?? I cant! I to would have an attitude! It is a career for people that have no personalities, who don't have to be a people person!! I guess if I had to do that all day long I would be angry and hostile as well!! West Val Care Pharmacy is the main pharmacy we use. Irina is very knowledgeable and has given us a lot of very good information as to when we should take medications and supplements with the variety we take, as well as which brands are best for our needs. This pharmacy works very hard to accommodate everyone even trying to get things they don't have on the shelves. The people working there are all very nice. They remember our names and talk to us while we wait for prescriptions to be filled. If we have questions about any issues, Irina is right there trying to help us. I like that she is open to sharing her experiences of different things that might help us as well. She gave us the name of a food plan she used at one time. We decided to try it for our daughter because nothing else had worked for her to lose weight. Our daughter has lost around 28 pounds and feels better than ever! In this day and age, it seems like most pharmacies are very clinical. They fill prescriptions, call your name and ring you out. It is so nice to know we have a pharmacy we can go to that really makes an effort to know about us and everything we take, so the right decisions can be made. I am a long time client of this establishment, this pharmacy was owned & operated by good people. It was an unfortunate time last year, when the pharmacy was sold to the now current owner & operator. I have had Nothing, but problems with this establishment. Terrible attitudes of the employees & owner operated. It seems as though, the poor working conditions ( under new ownership) is a catalyst to treating the clientele quite poorly. I am a sickly older woman, & having to fight or beg & plead for my medication to be available & ready. I have had to call numerous times in a week to make sure my medicine would be available, even though, I have been with this pharmacy for many years & I get the same medicine every month for years!!! In these times of hardship, I would prefer to Not have to have a fight, beg & plead for my medication. I sincerely hope, that will " get better", but attitudes Need to be Kind when dealing with people, especially people that are already hurting in severe pain & scared & worried about their medical conditions read more

I am a person who doesn't usually complain, but i had the MOST HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE recently at this pharmacy, due in large part to a woman named Irina. For the past 30 years I have been a patient of a dentist in the same building as West Val, as well as other doctors. Consequently I have given a ton of business to West Val over the years, and most of my experiences there have been positive. But due to the Coronavirus, I hadn't visited the pharmacy in several months and was not aware if the ownership change. But a couple of days ago I encountered the new owner, Irina, who should be ashamed of herself for treating a loyal customer so badly. FYI I am partially handicapped due to several hip surgeries I've had over the past 3 years. I also have severe osteoarthritis all over my body. Consequently, I am not very stable on my feet and I occasionally drop things because my hands aren't able to hold them very well. When I entered the store I had a mouth full of Novacaine, and was wearing a mask and gloves due to the virus precautions. Apparently none of this mattered to Irina who was incredibly rude to me. While waiting for my dentist's prescription to be filled, I took the opportunity to browse atound the store to find things I needed, since I hadn't been in a pharmacy for so long. Due new ownership, the store had been rearranged so it was difficult for me to find things. I didn't know where things were, and I was using my cane and holding a basket for the items I was going to purchase. Additionally, I was having trouble reading the fine print on some of the packages as well as the price tags, so I'm sure I wasn't the most efficient shopper. The store wasn't busy, but it tiok a long time for someone to offer to help me. He was a very nice employee who remembered me from my many past visits to West Val. He took my full basket and gave me a new one. Apparently Irina saw me having all this difficulty navigating the store, and when I asked her a question she was very short with me and not accomodating to a customer who was trying to purchase several items. Maybe because of my handicap and the Novacaine, she thought I was drunk or a homeless person?? After waiting almost an hour for my prescription, I was still continuing to shop in the store. I has a full basket but she wouldn't let me set it down anywhere so I could get a new one to continue shopping. For someine with my challenges, this was very frustrating for me. On top of that, Irina started to tell me that I needed to leave the store. I was also embarrassed because my husband was in the car and kept calling me on my cell phone because he was worried about me. With 2 full baskets, i was finally ready to check out. Understandably, I was outraged at the treatment I was getting from her, especially since I waa purchasing over $200 worth of merchanduse. I asked her if she thought it was OK to treat a customer this way! She responded with "I don't care. Just get out of my store." I told her that I thought she needed help in dealing with handicapped customers, but she just rudely told me to "get out of the store and don't ever come back!" At the age of 69 years, I've NEVER BEEN TREATED SO DISGUSTINGLY by an employee, much less by an owner of a business! I've read several NEGATIVE YELP REVIEWS about this woman, so I know I'm not the only person to have experienced her RUDE BEHAVIOR. Needless to say I will take my business to another pharmacy where they are respectful and appreciate my business. I'm a senior citizen who now has several physical limitations, and I DON'T DESERVE TO BE TREATED THIS WAY BY ANYONE! I'm not looking for an apology. I just want other potential customers to know what they are in for from Irina if they ask too many questions or have any difficulty shopping in her pharmacy. Despite my aggravation with Irina, I sincerely hope she can shape up and try to have a nice day as she accommodates her customers, no matter their limitations. With the strife and difficulties we are all experiencing with the Coronavirus, I would hope that we could all be patient and respectful of one another. Being relatively new to the area, it seemed that my options were limited to big chain pharmacies.While speaking to a friend recently, I said that I was unhappy with the chain pharmacy I had been using as they were unreliable and did not offer delivery service. She suggested that I contact West Val. The service and professionalism is outstanding. Irina, the pharmacist/owner is warm, friendly and so knowledgeable about the medications. They Deliver!! This is a great service during this time of Covid-19. However, when the new owner, Irina Binder, took over, I followed her from her previous pharmacy to this one. She is wonderful and has only improved West-Val. She remodeled the store. She has added more staff. She added an online order service. Kudos to Irina! Thank you all of the previous, and new, staff. Oh...and lest I should forget, they do home delivery for a very reasonable (small) fee. (And they do validate parking...Thank you!) I'm proud of you, Irina, for writing such a grown-up sounding response, but it's a little late. It would've been better if you had addressed me like that when I was your customer, not after I posted a bad review. I was avoiding listing details, but you force my hand. So what about the time when discussing a problem with you, a problem the pharmacy should be taking care of, and your only response was, and I quote, "You already took a half hour of my pharmacy's time." I said, "Your pharmacy took a half hour of MY time!" You said, "No we didn't." You said, "What do you want ME to do ABOUT IT?" I wanted you to do your job, Irina. Having a bad day? Then, one time I didn't hear what you said from across the pharmacy counter and I said, "What?" Then you mocked me by parroting back, "Whaaat?" in a wierd and rude way. Another bad day? Then when dealing with yet another error, you have staff who are allowed to yell at me, then hang up on me without me ever raising my voice. Another bad day?--just a few examples. WHERE was this respect you speak of these times? I was not ever disrespectful to you. Don was an owner, then Fred (the only good period--except for the same rude staff), then you, all in 2019. Count, that's 3 owners. You gave my sister, who you know has some brain damage from meningitis, the WRONG SEIZURE MEDICINE, even though you had filled it correctly before (but maybe that was Fred), and it had the wrong doctor, NOT HER NEUROLOGIST, on the bottle!!! She's supposed to have extended release, or she has seizures, and she is supposed to have Brandname, or she has seizures. Where was your oversight?? Susan may have taken this if it were not for me. Seizures are dangerous and life threatening. It's personal when you risk my sister's health and her life. This is a Pharmacy Board issue. Then there were the times when you put half the amount of pills in a bottle than what you listed on the outside. This cheats me and it cheats my insurance. Cheating is personal. No oversight. Pharmacy Board issue. Then, one time, I picked up my sister's medicine, went to the car, looked in the bag, and found you had given her 2 DUPLICATE BOTTLES of her OXYCODONE! Same script number and 30 pills each. If I had not brought it back into you, the DEA would've been all over this, knocking at your door. They track these things carefully. This makes you part of the opioid problem, NOT the solution. OVERSIGHT??? You would THINK you'd be exceedingly nice and respectful to me after I did the right thing for your business--after I saved your ass. These are all just a few examples of what I experienced at your pharmacy. I am not writing this to punish you, or I would bring these problems to the Pharmacy Board and the DEA. I just think you should do, and be better, and not punish your customers for having large orders that are then NOT filled correctly, making the customer perform their own "oversight" of what you are doing all the time--ALL THE TIME! And be nicer. I am SOOO happy at Reliable Pharmacy. They are great, no one yelling, or mocking, or hanging up, prescriptions ready on time, no errors whatsoever, totally on top of things!--just like the pharmacy we were at for 30 years before the pharmacist retired, before we came to you. I have been going there since Irina took over and I always had great service and personal attention as do all of her customers. No ask of Irina and her staff is too much. Plus their prices are competitive and their professionalism is without equal. As to how Irina saved my life, no exaggeration, I had been given a devastating diagnosis by a doctor. Prescriptions are frequently incorrect. Delivery is always late at night. I frequently speak to Maria on the phone when I call and she can't hear, can't get the prescription right, and doesn't provide correct information. The only reason I continue to use them is that they have Neocate in stock for my son. The minute that is no longer needed, I'm switching to another pharmacy. read more

My boyfriend has been getting his prescriptions from here for almost 5 years now. It is honestly one of the best pharmacies we have been to. Everyone there is so nice and friendly. Even when it is completely chaotic and there are a lot of customers, screaming kids and just general craziness going on, they are friendly. They pretty much always have his prescriptions. I can probably only count on one hand the number of times they haven't had his prescription. Which for five years, that is amazing! They validate parking if you get a prescription or make a purchase so that's really cool as well! My only complain is that they have so many cool items and trinkets in the shop. So I usually come out spending more money than I originally intended to! Even if I make myself a deal like "Okay if it's here next time I will buy it." It's usually there next time like its taunting me and I end up buying it. I highly recommend this pharmacy! read more
