This Walgreens is my favorite location. The staff is mostly male, with one female employee I believe is named Roxanne. Everyone here is friendly, patient, and always willing to help. As a couponer, I really appreciate how accommodating they are. They never make me feel rushed, and they even let me know when items I'm looking for will be restocked so I don't waste a trip, my time, or my gas. Even though this store is a little farther from me, it's absolutely worth the drive. I'd much rather shop here than at the Walgreens in Topanga because the customer service is consistently outstanding. read more

I am extremely disappointed with Walgreens Pharmacy. For over a year, after telling them more than 20 times that I changed doctors, they still keep contacting my old doctor for refills. Because of their repeated mistakes, every month I have to argue and fight just to get my medication. This causes major stress and delays my treatment. The staff is often rude and unprofessional. They frequently do not answer the phone, and sometimes even hang up on me. I even called Walgreens corporate headquarters and filed a formal complaint. They gave me case number 26384540, but after two weeks, nobody ever called me back. I strongly warn others: think twice before using this pharmacy. My experience has been so stressful, it feels like this place could give someone a heart attack. read more

This place is a hit or miss. You just never know how it's going to be. The people working at the pharmacy most of the time seem tired. Mind you, doctor sends over medication prescription. I try to wait at least an hour so that it gives them time to fill it. Once I arrive, at the drive thru window, they say about a 10 minute wait but really it's more like 20-30 minute wait. I really miss having the doctor send a prescription to rite aid. They were always friendly, happy, and by the time I arrived, the medication was already filled. read more

The service here is bad, the people here were even worse. I saw a girl nonstop coughing in this place, like every 2-3-4 seconds. I probably heard the cough 40+ times before I dipped out. Helen in the front pretended to be a manager when asking for one. She is a shift leader not head manager of the entire store, she did not state that. Since the problem was with her racial profiling me and my family she never stated she was not the manager. Beware when shopping here if you are Latino she will profile and be little you. Provender: I feel like this is one of the cleaner pharmacies in this area. Better than some of the CVSs in the area. In addition to the pharmacy, their store seems cleaner too. They also have a drive thru pharmacy window, which makes it convenient to pick up your medication. Prices: comparable to other pharmacies. Parking: there's a large lot, so parking won't be a problem. It's best if you're traveling west on Sherman. You can also enter from Mason. People: fun for all. Perks: the staff are friendly. Some of the pharmacy techs are also super gorgeous. If I can write a 0 star I would. We've been with them for over 10 years but recently the pharmacy customer service is horrible. Yesterday I picked up my daughter's prescription and the girl in the counter said I have to pay $100. I asked her to double check the insurance information they have on file and with a smirk she said" I have everything correct." I asked her to ask another personnel to double check. She asked Gabriela who has zero smile on her face and looked like she did not want to be there checked and found out that some of the numbers were incorrect. She was still not able to fix the coverage problem and said they will have to call my insurance. And without any apologies asked me "wait in that corner and We will call." I asked her how long will it be and she just said in a indifferent voice," as soon as she gets to it" pointing at the other lady on the phone. At this point, I went ahead and called my own insurance and got the numbers like BIn etc and verified that my daughter do have coverage. At the point the lady (Genesis) who was on the phone approached me and said she was on the phone with my insurance and my daughter does not have coverage. I told her I'm on the phone with my insurance and they are saying she does. I asked Genesis to talk to the person I have on the phone. My insurance rep gave her all the numbers she needed. She was putting the information on the computer and said my daughter does not have coverage AGAIN! I asked her if she can double check the numbers that she put in and she said "I know how to read ma'am!" I told her that I did not say that she cannot read but is simply asking her to check her numbers on the computer. At this point, Gabriela asked to take over again. Gabriela asked the insurance rep to call Walgreens. Gabriela was looking at the computer and when the insurance rep called her all she said is "it's ok I have the information." So I asked Gabriela," how come you're able to verify that my daughter has insurance even before talking to my insurance?" Gabriela unapologetically looked at me with so much indifference on her face verified that Genesis had put in some wrong information. At this point I was very frustrated because had I not persisted that my daughter has insurance, I would have pain $100 instead of just the $5 that they eventually asked me to pay. The customer service was very horrible!! They are not a patient advocate! They were looking and talking to me as if I did not deserve good customer service! What if this happened to someone who does not know how to stand up for themselves? It took me over 30 minutes just to get the coverage that I already have! If I did not insist I would have not gotten the coverage a paid for! Gabriela even had the audacity to tell me that she is the supervisor and any complaints I can talk to her when she herself does not k ow how to treat people with respect and she does not know how to give basic customer service. Walgreens should hire people who really wants to help people who are sick. Or incompetent people like Genesis who is as rude as Gabriela! read more

Idk where to start with this place. Most of the staff here are so nice and helpful. However there's always those rotten apples. Like the store manager named Lady Chavez who's rude as hell. Lady needs to either find another job or practice her social skills if she's going to be running the store. She's such an arrogant person. There's also the associate named Christabell who rolls her eyes each time we ring for help. Such a nasty person. We wouldn't have to do that if you guys didn't maintain everything locked up. I guess I can see why. There's theft in the store COUNTLESS of times. We always see someone either walking so calmly from the store with handful of items or stashing them inside their bags. Genesis at the pharmacy is completely unprofessional! I've heard this Walgreens is infamous for the pharmacy having poor customer service, but this was insane. I watched her treat other people worse than me. In my experience, she looked right at me and ignored me at the window, then walked away to chat with coworkers. When she came back, she interrupted me and told me to "wait in line" then walked away. There was nobody in line. I just waited 10 more minutes for her to speak with me again and ask me medical questions. After I answer them all, she hands me paperwork to fill out with all of the exact same questions I just answered...Then she walks away and I had to wait for her to come back and ask for my ID back. She cuts patients off mid-sentence when they tried to speak with her and acts like she'd rather be watching paint dry than help people. The others at the pharmacy are lovely, just overworked and understaffed. If they had one more hard worker, I'm sure they'd have a much better reputation. I do not like writing a less than happy review. But my experiences with the pharmacy staff at this location have been frequently awful. I know Covid is making life difficult. Trust me. I KNOW. I've been dealing with cancer this year and I have a genetic mutation which means I have to deal with multiple specialists and have many different medications. The staff here is unhelpful, rude and have made me cry more than once. They speak to me as if I'm stupid and have given me erroneous advice many times. The woman today was so mean that im switching pharmacies immediately. You do not want to use this pharmacy. If you can use another one please do. Save yourself the headache and heartache. Update: I spoke to the head of pharmacy staff at this location and this woman was so unbelievably rude to me that I am furious. She demanded my doctor's information and not even 30 seconds after I hung up with her, telling her in no uncertain terms I do not want her or her staff to contact any of my drs because I do not trust them and I am SWITCHING PHARMACIES, I received notice that the pharmacy had contacted my Dr about my prescription. I feel so violated that I'm now never stepping foot in any Walgreens pharmacy again. I go out of my way to be proactive about my health needs. In the middle of a pandemic everyone is overworked. I get it. But to have this staff speak to me like I'm stupid SO many times the past few months, when all I am requesting is more information on what I can do on my end to help them help ME, is ridiculous and cruel. I like going to my local Walgreens (Sherman way and mason) since it's conveniently right around the corner from where I live, but as of lately it's been very disappointing to see More and more products locked up behind plexiglass. And due to the lack of staff (or limited staff) one has to wait to get what they need, like body wash. Which is pretty wild. I know theft and robberies are at and all time high in LA county at the moment, but this Walgreens wasn't so bad before. I noticed a significant downfall in the neighborhood once Walgreens allowed an illegal taco stand /a churro stand/ and a stuffed animal, hat, mask stand to set up shop in front of their parking lot. Firstly, The taco stand is disposing their cooking oil all over the walgreens surrounding plants and bushes and dirt outside, which has killed a majority of the vegetation and turned a lot of it black and ugly. The soil/dirt has absorbed gallons of cooking oil and has developed an awful stench on top of making the sidewalk in front of the business dangerously slippery and black. Since this taco stand had been operating illegally now for about 4 years, it has created quite a fan base, which uses the Walgreens parking lot to park and get their food and eat their food in the parking lot. There has been several incidents where my car has been hit/scratched by someone who is not even a Walgreens customer, They're a taco stand customer. A lot of the times I can't even find parking since several of the taco stand customers are utilizing them to eat or park to stand in line and get a taco. I use to come to this Walgreens way more often anytime throughout the day, now I have to think about it since it has become very dangerous during the day and at night. Several of the taco stand customers get drunk in their cars and leave glass bottles standing in the lot, which have given a few locals some flat tires. I use to do my night walks and swing by Walgreens to get a drink, not anymore, since it's dangerous to walk through the entrance of the parking lot since the taco stand parks their big truck right before the entrance to the Walgreens parking lot, which blocks the view of the drivers pulling into the parking lot, I can't tell you the amount of times I've almost been hit in front of Walgreens because of this taco stand operating illegally and parking illegally. Lastly, the most awful incidents that keep occurring at this Walgreens is the amount of drunks that are allowed to loiter in front of the business and throughout the parking lot. They ogle, stare, and whistle at women that are alone or with their children walking by, on top of pulling out their private parts and urinating all over the remaining brushes and greenery on the side of the parking lot. The combination of nasty cooking oil and urine does not make it pleasant to drive or walk into this Walgreens. The taco stand enables the drunks that loiter in the Walgreens by giving them food, which keeps them around and several other sketchy people.I've developed a schedule to work around all this madness, just to go to this Walgreens and get my necessities. Taco stand usually arrives around 2:50pm, if I leave my house by 2pm I'm safe. If I need anything after 2pm, I rather drive to CVS on Roscoe and De Soto. I feel safer going into that business, on top of not having to worry about my car being hit by a drunk, who's there for tacos. read more

Very unsafe with scarey homeless in parking lot AND inside store. The wait line for the pharmacy inside is usually a minimum 20 minutes and the drive up wait has many times been 30 mins! Not acceptable. Inside the store, so many items are locked up and it takes a long time to get someone to unlock an item for you. Additionally, they are so low in stock of a lot of items and the checkout line at the front of the store is always a long wait as well. read more

I've had a horrible experience dealing with this Walgreens' pharmacy. I've been to sooo many Walgreens, and they're all kinda bad, but this one is the worst I've been to. When you call the pharmacy, make sure to set aside about an hour, because that's how long it will take them to get to you and answer your question after putting you on hold multiple times. When they answer the phone, they say, "Walgreens. Hold," without letting you speak (that's honestly never happened to me at other locations), and you get to enjoy some lovely elevator music on a loop for a good 20 minutes or so. Then someone will ask what you want, and they'll say they don't know the answer, and then put you on hold for another 20 or so. Then someone else will answer and ask what you want, and you have to start all over. It took me around 1.5 weeks of waiting and work (me calling the pharmacy, calls to my old Walgreens location, calls to general customer service, calls to the store itself instead of the pharmacy department, calls from my doctor, etc.) to get my first prescription here filed. If you are covered by Medi-Cal and another private insurance, they will have NO IDEA how to process the billing. I ran out of meds before they were able to fill it. So if you are doing anything out of the norm, give it 2-3 weeks for them to sort it out to be safe. The pharmacist accused me of lying to her about Medi-Cal billing and told me I need to call Medi-Cal, not her, to figure out her job! I told her I had called Medi-Cal many times before, and I'm right about this (I was). Some manager guy left me a voicemail about 1.5 minutes long telling me the solution is "more patience" from me, while my meds ran out. Unfortunately I have to keep going to this location because if I switch, I'll probably have to go through all the confusion again somewhere else. UGH. read more

I don't understand why everyone keeps going to this location if they hate it. Go to a different one then. Yes, it's a long time to wait in the drive-through to get to the window. Yes this location appears to be understaffed. Yes, I don't always get my medication on the day that it's supposed to be filled, but that's life. I was able to speak to somebody on my last refill, and I was told my medication will be ready later that day, and it was. No problem we live in LA everything is crowded. I have been going to this location for years and have probably spent a lot more than I should have over the years. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with their service today. I was over charged for two additional items. I told the cashier she charged me for extra items. She admitted she made a mistake and refunded my money back. Except instead of refunding the $19 owed to me she refunded $14 (to my credit card)and gave me a $5 gift card for store credit. $19 was over charged to my card and $19 should have been returned. I was told it's store policy and I could call customer service to get my money back. read more

What do I expect from Walgreens? Nothing much. However this place is below average when it comes to service. Pharmacy staffs looked annoyed when they were looking up my information, and they even failed to find certain info. I called another Walgreens for the same information which they pulled up in a second, and said it's "unbelievable" the other Walgreens (one I'm reviewing right now) failed to find this. The cashier was standing there lifeless, all she did was scan my product and nothing else. I paid on the card machine which was a bit far from her, and she didn't even hand me the product afterwards. So I had to reach it over while someone was already standing there to get their stuff scanned. If these people are going to be so careless and rude, might as well just replace them with automated machines. At least the guy who was stocking the shelf smiled and say bye to me and my husband, so I thought 1 star was harsh. Educate the staff to be friendlier or find someone else. I usually like this Walgreens, it's my go to store but today that changed when I came across the employee named Angie. She was super rude and unhelpful. I've never been treated so poorly in all my times at Walgreens and I visit nearly every day. She was so unbelievably unprofessional and had a crazy attitude huffing and puffing like I was such a huge inconvenience to her asking for my online pickup order. She barely helped and left the counter storming off without answering my question to go hang out with an employee off duty with her dog in the store. Disgusted on how I was treated. The thing I like about Walgreens is the fact that when the opioid crisis came out they started limiting peoples prescriptions. Some people didn't like them because of that but I think it was really safe for the community. And I think they save a lot of lives by doing that! They also have a wide variety of different foods, snacks, water, drinks, and many other accessories. I love the hair isle. I'm able to get some good shampoo for a good and low price. read more

This location is kept up with all merchandise and stocked up. What usually needs restocking on a daily basis are food items and beauty products. Theres a drive thru pharmacy The store itself could be a little cleaner. Sometimes homeless people chill behind the Walgreens or right next to the church next door. I usually walk here and have never had a problem. Parking is plentiful and there is a private lot. It is conveniently located in the corner of Mason ave and Sherman way in the city of Winnetka. The reason why i gave 3 stars is because there is no interaction from staff. This will most def make the store instantly better. read more

I go here for Redbox/movie night. I like that they have the machine inside. Also, can't go wrong with their cheap candy. I stock up on the candy boxes that are 3/$3. Those are like $5 each at the theatre so it's good to sneak em in for a cheap candy snack. Also, amazingly there's no hobos hanging out here so I feel slightly safer coming here with my kid.
