I had a very disappointing experience at this Walgreens. I came in to print over 100 photos and asked if they could apply a discount. There was a 50% coupon available, but instead of simply helping me, the manager, Surendra, insisted that I cancel my order, re-upload all of my photos on the store kiosk, and submit a completely new order. The entire process took almost 30 minutes. I was there with my baby in a stroller, who woke up crying, and instead of trying to make the situation easier, there was no empathy at all. To make matters worse, the store's Wi-Fi wasn't working properly, so the photos were taking a long time to upload. When I mentioned it, Surendra told me to go outside because the upload would be faster there. So I had to stand outside with my crying baby just to upload my photos. Communication was difficult, and when I asked why he wasn't helping me, he repeatedly said, "I'm helping you," then simply walked away while I was still speaking to him. I understand that employees have to follow store policies, but customer service is about more than just policies it's about treating customers with patience, respect, and compassion. This experience was unnecessarily stressful, and I left feeling completely dismissed. I hope Walgreens provides better customer service and support in the future. read more

Here's to 2nd to 4rth chances, after my less than stellar yelp review of Walgreens on S. Mary Sunnyvale my active prescriptions appear to all have been transferred out of this store. In addition, each Walgreen's store asks for a new Rx to be called in. I am not sure that Charles Walgreens had this in mind when founded his business. As a former pharmacist, I hate to say it, Mail Order and Bezos Inc may be better. read more

This is the worst pharmacy you can choose, ever. I called them 3 times to confirm they had the drug my husband needed after a major surgery. After I go in, they tell me they can give me half of the ordered dosage and I need to "void" the rest. Yeah try telling that to someone with a 10/10 pain. I will be changing my pharmacy. Stay away if you need critical time sensitive medication. read more

No for RSV vaccinations I'm not old enough per CDC guidelines and even though my MD sent the prescription in AND they sent me a reminder 30 minutes before arrival time, AND I waited in line ... they declined to give me the vaccine. Ok so decline me, but tell me before I spend my time and energy and rearrange my s beside to get to your location! If you can remind me to get here, can't you tell me when your system says you can't give me the vaccine!?! Worst case, someone in corporate needs to update their systems. Rx's at this location repeatedly take many hours to fill. ie 2 of my Rx went in today sent by my MD at noon.. 1 wasn't ready until 5pm. I called about 2nd Rx. Told that per the computer it told them it wasn't promised untill tomorrow @ 4:25pm. Really you have an infection & they determine you can get 1 Rx one day but need to wait another day to get the rest of the Rx. This past year have had to wait many hours to get any Rx that is called in by a MD. Then you wait in a line of people sometimes 6 people deep to pick it up once it is finally ready. This Walgreens needs to be more Patient Care friendly if they want to have a pharmacy. Maybe they could spend the money & get at least one more pharmacist if they are this busy. read more

The customer service here is so terrible it's sad. Especially the photo area. He had no clue where photos were even located or what was printed. Went there to buy Tylenol but they all locked up inside of closet, don't know why. There was a button to press for customer service, pressed it and wait no body came, wait, wait, wait and pressed again.... no body still. Did it 10 times and still. Went to casher and asked her "what shall I do?" she pointed me a man has all the keys standing inside of photo shop. He said, first come first serve and treated me like "cut in the line"... no other customers around (on-line customers?) Really rude and surprising. read more

Used to be great, now they are the pits. Any prescription takes over 4 hours to get. Got one today, got the phone call it was ready, 4 and a half hours later. Then the guy behind the counter spent 5 minutes trying to find my prescription. Did I mention they had 6 people working and still over 4 hours!!! Unfortunately this is the rule not the exception. Dear Walgreens location: your Pharmacy has been closing at 6pm for months and you have never updated your hours online. I was prescribed critical medication that needed to be started immediately and the hours stated the pharmacy closed at 9pm. The doctors office sent the request in at 5pm and it was filled just before 6pm. We got there at 6:30 and the pharmacy was closed. Just PLEASE update your hours in the app, yelp, google, wherever. Ok Walgreens. Just be aware they closed down photos services and passport photos. They don't have enough staff anymore, so I was told they've had to close down photos services. Hopefully they'll update their website so customers know to try a different location for photos. Really eel bad for this store. Their very thin on staffing and you can tell the staff are feeling exhausted. read more

Give it negative if I could, just had my tooth extraction done in nearby dental office and came here to pick up pain killer before I head home. I was at 3 PM and the dude said medicine will be ready in a hour. 1 hour 45 mins later they still don't have my medication and refused to give me back my signed prescription paper so I could go somewhere else. Anesthesia is wearing off and I felt lot of pain, had to go back to the dentist to get few more shots. When I was back at 5:15 PM, they finally have my medication, Fuck these guys, I was hurting a lot read more

This review is strictly for their pharmacy. I ended up at urgent care on Thursday and they sent my medication to this Walgreens location. Since I was in a lot of pain, I called prior to coming here to confirm that my medication was ready and was told that they have it so I headed over. When I arrived 15 minutes later, I stood in a long line and listened to 3 different employees being rude to the patients ahead of me and was appalled at their demeanor but wasn't going to say anything as I was in pain and just wanted to get out of there with my medication as fast as humanly possible. When it was finally my turn, I was told by Pablo that that not only do they not have my medication ready, but also apparently they never even received a prescription for me. Once they finally managed to locate the prescription (Pablo needed the assistance of 2 other coworkers to locate it), they argued with me that my medical insurance was not for pharmacy use (I always use this insurance at other Walgreens locations with no issues) and that I'd have to pay $160 for my medication. At this point, I wasn't going to argue as I was at the verge of tears in pain and I was ready to pay out of pocket for this medication so he went to get it ready for me. While all of this was going on, there were 2 other customers arguing with them over the same issue -- either being over charged for what insurance should cover or insisting that a medication isn't ready when the patient said he received a confirmation call a few days ago. Once they were finally ready to dispense my medication to me, I asked them to run my insurance one more time and to no surprise, it was only $10.75 at which point Pablo practically threw the bag at my face. Walgreens, get Pablo in check. He's seriously the rudest person that I have ever encountered in healthcare and with an attitude like his, he should not be allowed to work face to face with patients. This is the first and last time that I visit this particular location. read more

Rude Cashier. Just as I placed merchandise I was about to buy, this cashier lady just left looking and didn't bother saying anything. This terrible store is the SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA WALGREENS on Mary Ave. And Fremont where the cashiers are not trained or professional. I rarely write reviews and even more rarely bad ones but this store deserves it richly. I ordered a print there and was given a pick-up time, when I showed up 2 hours after that indicated time I was met by the most unmotivated staff member you can imagine. She shuffled around the photo department for a few minutes and then told me that the print wasn't ready, that the pick up time I was given is merely a suggestion and not an actual guarantee that the order is actually ready for pick-up then. I asked her to print it right now and her response was "I don't know how to do that". She told me that she could not tell me when the print would be ready and that they wouldn't call me when it was ready and that I should call them to find out. That was yesterday, I have been on the phone to try and connect with them for 30 minutes now. Nobody in the photo department is picking up and when I ask other staff members to check into the order and ask them NOT to connect me to the photo department because nobody is picking up, they connect me to the photo department and I am in the endless waiting loop again. I have been going to this store for years, not anymore. They couldn't care less about customers. read more

By far the worst pharmacy ever. Request refill. Helpful message appears in app saying "your prescription is delayed". Why? How come? No indication. Only way to find out is call and wait 20 minutes on hold to speak to someone. Told I submitted refill request early and come back in 2 days. Will they fill it in two days ? No, I have to call back and request it. Two days later, 20 minutes on hold again, another person tells me I have to wait another 2 days. First person is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile this is a med you can't stop taking suddenly and I'm now reduced to cutting pills in half so I won't run out. Do they care? Not in the slightest. They're just following orders. If there was an alternative to this clown show I'd use it. read more

Debit card users beware! No issues with actual store or pharmacy, which I have been a regular customer at for years. But someone is hacking their debit card machines, waiting a couple months, then going to the banks across the street to take out money. Be very cautious. Use your credit card instead. read more

I walked around and couldn't find any employees, save for a cashier who was dealing with some customers and, therefore, couldn't help me. He went ahead and called another cashier over the intercom. When did someone finally arrive? 20 minutes later. This all, by the way, was around 7:30 on a Thursday evening. After I was finally done, I walked around the store just to see, out of curiosity, how many employees were on the floor. How many? Three. One of my co-workers told me that chips were on sale for $1.99 and there was a $3 off coupon for salsa that's attached to certain bags. I thought it was such a steal so I decided to drop by Walgreens during lunch. Since I was heading to Sunnyvale to buy lunch, this location was the closest to where I was. I walked inside and headed straight to the snack aisle. I skimmed through the first 2 rows of chips and didn't see the coupon. Oh well...since I was there and chips were on sale, I grabbed 2 bags and headed straight to the cashier. The cashier that helped me (tall, thin guy) was so friendly. I was digging for money and he didn't give me an attitude for taking my time. Instead, he made small conversations with me while he waited. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever seen. I dropped a prescription yesterday 3:00pm and they took down my phone and date of birth. They said they will text me when it is ready. 20 hours later today i went to inquire as I have not heard anything. The pharmacy said they couldn't find my prescription on the file. After 5 people chaotically trying to find it and finally trey found it. This pharmacy is so chaotic and they have zero empathy about the patient and zero urgency. The PHARMACY line here is Always (at least for me) Ridiculously long .... 10 people deep.... There's only one person working the register... everyone has complicated issues that aren't easily solvable, leading to over an hour of waiting in line. The staff is always nice which is great. This isn't the first time she has helped me out because I'm so clueless but she is so patient and she is very knowledgeable of what has to be done to correct an issue with the photos. Usually, when I think about Walgreens, the first thing that comes into my mind is, "Why is the Pharmacy so mediocre?" The lines are always long, the pharmacists don't know what they're doing, and the prices are ridiculous! But not this time. I visited this Walgreens on Mary Avenue in Sunnyvale a few days ago to pick up some drugs that my doctor recently prescribed to me. The first time that I came, the pharmacy was closed, and so I recommend calling beforehand to check the hours. I believe, at least for weekdays, it's open from 8-9pm? Even though there were a few people in line ahead of me, the pharm techs worked efficiently to make sure everyone was helped quickly and effectively. Once I approached the front, I knew I would have a good and smooth experience. The pharm tech who helped me was so sweet. She went through my different insurance cards to make sure I got the best possible deal and I ended up saving a good amount in the end. In addition, the main pharmacist explained to me everything I needed to know about my drugs. Overall I had a positive and smooth experience at this Walgreens' Pharamcy. Everyone was nice, I didn't have to wait long, and best of all, I got a great deal! I give this place an "omg, I'd travel 2 hours for this!" Stay well and prosper, read more

The pharmacy was awful before but it's even worse now. They randomly close the pharmacy during work hours. The website says "open" but it's not. I drove twice to pick up a medication as they notified me I had 5 days before they cancel the order. It was closed both times. They also stopped taking calls on weekends. You just wait indefinitely to speak to a person until you give up. When confronted they are full of excuses. They also lied about contacting my doctor for instructions. This location, along with the one on Bollinger in Cupertino, have the unfriendliest workers. They walk right past shoppers out on the sales floor. To top it off, they have poor selection. Items are out of stock for weeks at a time. Some of the nail polish was separating into two distinct layers, and should have been thrown out or returned to the manufacturer. It doesn't help that just about every time I'm near the pharmacy, I hear a customer complaining about how their refills weren't ready at the time the pharmacy had said they would be. The two Walgreens locations on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale are so much better than this place. read more

When I'm in the area I'll stop by to pick up some drinks/snacks and just browse the toy section with my kids. It's always clean and the cashiers are generally friendly. I've never tried getting photos or utilizing FedEx drop off, but I do notice there isn't always someone there. I usually see people just standing around waiting for a clerk. read more

This is a great store. I've witnessed pharmacy staff provide nothing but respectful interactions to even the crankiest sickly customers. On the rare occasion that there is a waiting line at the pharmacy, the line moves at a reasonable pace. In general the store is clean and orderly. It's my go to place for toiletries and such on my way home. Thanks for frequently announcing that the cashier in cosmetics is open when things get a bit backed up at the main cashiers. Pharmacy service very good but slow. There's always a line. The general cash registers are really quick. Photo booth, quick and professional (as can be expected from Walgreen) and if you need a passport picture, you'll get it quickly here (would not look for the best picture but it will be quick). This store is operative normal basis neighboorhood hours. The pharmacist Maggie (Vietnamese) narcissistic individual does what would be called bickering and guilt tripping people. She wears makeup and is all over place, uneasy color lipstick, and advises customers on wrong motive of customer service. It's customer service not you are doctor and you provide prescriptions! Today I asked Oksana at the cash register where the powder household cleansers (for example Comet brand or Ajax brand or Bon Ami brand) are located. She said that all of the cleansers are in the same aisle. I told her I looked in the aisle where the brooms are located but couldn't find anything there. She said "Do you want me to show you?". I said "Yes". She took me to the aisle that I had already checked. I told her again I couldn't find anything there. I asked her if we could ask another employee. We returned to the register. She pointed to another employee that was about 10 yards away and told me to ask him. I said "Can you please call him over?". Instead of calling him over for me she told me that I can just go ask him. I asked him and he said all of the cleansers are in the same aisle. I asked him to show me where. He took me to the same aisle I had already checked. I asked him again if there are any powder household cleansers in that aisle. He said that if they carry it that it would be in that aisle but he didn't actually look for me. He told me that if I don't see it then they don't have it. I returned to the cash register to pay for my other things. I asked Oksana what the name of that man was. She said Rahul (sp?). I asked her to spell it for me. She said that I should go find him and ask him myself. Needless to say, it was an extremely disappointing customer service experience. Oksana and Rahul were not very interested at all in being helpful. read more
