Since 2021 I have been going to CVS for all my immunizations, given by David Le. I have been phobic about needles from a young age due to very unpleasant experiences. David Le has changed that attitude. He has been very patient and I rarely even feel the prick of the needle. It's hard to overstate how important it has been to have found someone I trust to give me the shots I need. David is a compassionate, soothing, wholly professional and lovely man. Picture if you will: two self checkouts, one broken and the other being used. The customer standing at the "working" self checkout was having problems with her purchase, but the cashier (brusque Indian woman in her 50s) rudely kept telling her repeatedly to "follow the instructions," although the customer was clearly confused. The cashier never helped her. I waited six minutes in line patiently (one person ahead of me) while she slowly rang up an elderly lady, which is just fine with me, because not every store can be staffed to help all customers at all times. This is a hard job, and I understand that these employees have to deal with rude customers all day. I finally handed my item to the cashier with a smile. The cashier's first action was to berate me for not using the self-checkout. When I started to explain that I got in line because one self-checkout was broken and the other was being used, she interrupted and dismissed me with a wave of her hand, berating me (again) for bringing her a pair of sunglasses (the only pair that fit me!) which had a barcode that wasn't working in her scanner. All this time, she's criticizing a young kid who's working behind her. She refused to help me, refused to let me explain why I couldn't simply bring up a different item which might have a different price. I don't work at CVS. I don't know what to look for. She just began fighting me on it, like it was the most natural thing in the world for her. I threw up my hands and walked out of the store without a purchase. Read some other reviews on this app. There's at least one talking about the same person, the same behavior. I don't care how long I have to wait in line. Like I said, I have compassion for stores that are understaffed and under-trained. I also have endless patience for this kind of thing usually. If anything, I'm the person wanting to make someone's day better if they're having a bad one. But this cashier was needlessly antagonistic, not just to me but to every customer and employee around me, creating an atmosphere and experience so unpleasant that now I'm logging on to f***ing YELP to write you a novel about this CVS location and warn you off it. read more

The pharmacists here are generally kind, but unfortunately, there's a very, very rude Indian lady who works both at the front and in the pharmacy as a technician. Her behavior is completely unacceptable. She's consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She never wears a name tag, always keeps a mask on to avoid being identified, and when I politely asked for her name so I could file a complaint, she snapped, "Why do you need my name?" then shouted "Next!" and blatantly ignored me. It's genuinely upsetting that someone with such an attitude is allowed to work in a pharmacy ,a place where people come in vulnerable, in need of care, and deserve kindness. Sharing my experience with CVS Pharmacy #9700 to alert others about their serious systemic issues in handling prescriptions. Major Problems: 1. Complete Communication Breakdown - No notification after receiving prescription from doctor - Had to manually request refill despite having doctor's authorization - Zero response to refill requests through their app - Found out about medication being out-of-stock only after calling them 2. Subpar Customer Service - Never updated about any delays - Wouldn't check inventory at other CVS locations - Told to call multiple pharmacies myself - Displayed no sense of urgency for important medication 3. Dysfunctional Systems - Unable/unwilling to check their own store network's inventory - No help with transferring prescription to stocked locations - Refused to suggest alternatives - No accountability for the situation The most frustrating part? Expecting patients to do all the legwork. We shouldn't have to call multiple pharmacies ourselves when they have direct access to their inventory system. This approach creates unnecessary stress and risks for patients. If you need regular medications, be prepared - you'll spend time chasing them down rather than receiving proper pharmacy service. I came here last week to grab a few items. On my way to the self checkout station, I was looking for a small piece of chocolate. I walked around the front area but couldn't find what I wanted. While I was searching for that particular piece of chocolate, the employee just stared at me and even walked away after a few minutes. She didn't even bother asking me if I needed help. We had a very odd experience here 1/11/25 4:30pm. The young male cashier was trying to scan two target gift cards for my husband to buy but the screen kept freezing. He asked another employee if he can try another register and the older female employee denied his request (her name tag had "shift manager". Open 24 hours? Think again. This store has cut its hours from 24/7 to 12/7, 9am to 9pm everyday, with the pharmacy closing at 8pm on weekends. The only reason to come here is to obtain medicine from a doctor's prescription at the pharmacy. My provider is Kaiser Permanente, so I can go directly to the pharmacy at Kaiser to get my medicine, and get my refills done online, with the medicine mailed to me. This store is a direct competitor to Walgreens. However, Walgreens is slightly closer to my house, and has a better selection of chocolates on sale, and has 1 hour photo development. Like Walgreens, CVS is like a mini grocery store, with canned goods, snacks, refrigerated items selling at Hawaii prices. $2 for an 18 ounce can of Progresso soup, or $4 for a half gallon of milk. And those were on sale items. 18 ounce can of Campbell's chunky soup is $4. 46 ounces of V8 vegetable juice $4. The prices become more glaring, when compared to the Dollar Tree 200 feet on the other side of the shopping center. And like Walgreens, and Dollar Tree, all the shelves full of hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes, paper towels, tissues, and toilet paper have been cleaned out by hoarders in panic buying in the age of the coronavirus, before the limits of 1 per customer were put into place. And even then, a 6 mega roll of Charmin Bath tissue goes for $12. Granted, it's 400 sheets of 3 ply toilet paper, and cheaper than using the San Jose Mercury News as toilet paper, which charged me $568 for 6 months. And that was single ply paper. I had a 30% off coupon good up to $100 in purchases, not good on sale items, and not good on milk, due to state law of price controls on milk. I gave it to a passerby in the store. I'm sure the homeless guy in front of the store would have thrown it away, as worthless, or used it as toilet paper. read more

I came here on a Friday night; it wasn't busy at all. I looked at cold and flu medication section. I wanted to buy the adult Robitussin (sugar free). When I found the adult Robitussin, one of the medication boxes had scotch tape on it. I am not sure if this medication was returned or the box was opened by a customer and an employee taped it up. I don't know how or why it was still on the shelves, but I personally would not purchase that. I would recommend being observant of the items you buy, especially medications. I actually overheard a customer talking to an employee about an item she purchased that she noticed was broken when she got home. Not sure what it was, but now that makes me think twice about purchasing from this location. read more

I came in for prescriptions my doctor sent me. When I got it I asked them if it was at all possible for them to give the ointments with the furthest expiration date since I knew I wouldnt have insurance coverage for a while. They were super busy but they still helped me out. Then when I saw the packages I saw that insurance hadn't covered it so I told them my insurance changed. Initially the lady said they're no longer contracted with them but walgreens is. I was on my way to walgreens but the lady called me and said that they ended up still being contracted. She ran one up and saw the correct copay and told me to come back. Even though some things could have been prevented, they were super busy and still tried to help me out. Three pieces of medication being picked up, first pickup couldn't even find the name, consultation was able to confirm the name and asked for a 25min wait. 30 minutes later at the pickup window they only had 1 of three medications available, and clueless about the other two. Back to the consultation window, wasted another 15 minutes.... An hour later i still don't have all 3 medications. The staff is clueless, non understanding and lack an ounce of empathy. Definitely not a spot to be at after a sleepless night of fevers, chills and illness for a 3 year old. If you can't rely on your pharmacy to come through, they are not a pharmacy you should use. read more

Horrible customer service! I've used this pharmacy several times and have Carepass and have gotten prescriptions delivered multiple times in the past 2 years since moving to Sunnyvale. I came down with Covid and needed my paxlovid delivered. I spent 20 minutes on the phone updating my address with some idiot named Kim. She kept giving me my address from where I lived before I moved to Sunnyvale, and had several random phone numbers that were never my phone numbers! After that was all straightened out, I got a text confirming delivery was scheduled. A half hour later I got a text saying the delivery was "cancelled". Called back, pharmacy out to lunch Will never use them again!! read more

This is for the pharmacy. I refill a prescription every 90 days here and everytime I have issues getting this prescription refilled. Today whoever answered the phone was so rude they hung up on me when I was trying to figure out why they canceled my original order. They have no respect for anyone. They just abuse the customers especially if they know that the plan does not allow them to go to another pharmacy. I have reported this to the corporate office and they do not do anything either. Horrible pharmacy customer service. One assistant asked "Can you hold a minute?" 36 minutes later I was still on hold. Don't trust them for COVID vaccine. Made my appointment a week in advance. The night before: I get a text canceling the appointment claiming they had no vaccine. They would not let me reschedule, claiming all appointments were filled. No one at the pharmacy seems to know what they are talking about. The employees need to be trained better before being allowed to answer the phone or schedule appointments. read more

CVS is just awful. A poorly run business. The worst part is that they inflate their prices by a bunch, then they offer coupons that bring the cost down somewhat. But if you want to buy a product for which you have no coupon, then you are paying too much. Most of the current CVS employees are unprofessional. The 2 good ones have left the store. On numerous occasions I have tried to use a coupon to purchase a single item, but if the store has a sale that requires you buy more than one, then the coupon is NOT honored and that turns me away from CVS. I used to shop there fairly often until I got wise to CVS' incompetence. Sad. So I switched to Walgreens and have encountered mostly satisfactory purchases and at better prices. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my life. I have been going there for a few months now and i have had enough. I was will to say maybe they are under staffed maybe there is a restaurant but it a lie. They are lazy, rude, poorly organized and completely self absorbed. I have never seen anything like this from a health care providing institution. CVS corporate should step in at this point and do something about this place. They never answer the phone, they take ages to enter prescriptions when they come in and even longer to fill them. The pharmacy is why I'm leaving a review, they are so understaffed it isn't funny, they have shortages in medicine (not their fault), but true miscommunication with their customers isn't ok. I was told by one person two medications would be available and within 15-20 minutes, 45 minutes later I finally go up to the counter because I'm thinking WTH is going on. I get one medication and am told to speak to the pharmacist again, coke to find out they don't have one in stock via tablet but they have it in capsule form. This almost enraged me because if they look at my past orders they'll see I've only ever gotten capsules. I had to leave without one of my prescriptions because she had to call my doctor and have the order changed. No previous pharmacist has had to call my doctor to change from tablet to capsule. I waited so long that I'm now running late for another appointment. I gave myself 1.5 hours and now I'm racing home to try and eat before I have to turn around again. I came to this CVS store to buy the "Seventh Generation 100% Recycled Bath Tissue, 4 CT" listed below because the online price was $4.99 BEFORE I decided to visit your store. I found out by surprise this CVS in-store price was $0.3 higher at $5.29 + sales tax. I am disappointed the store would price higher than advertised online price. Granted, it wasn't a big price difference, but they do that with most if not all store items and the more you buy, the more you pay. Generally bad customer service, overcrowded, phone always busy, and their system seems to have a problem too. I got a mobile pick up code from CVS to pick up my son's prescription. I thought this would expedite the pick up. Before picking up his medication, I also asked to refill a prescription for me. After my request, the mobile pick up code for my son was somehow overwritten by my prescription even though the code had his name on it. This caused confusion and I had to explain to the pharmacy what happened. This place has to work on customer service and competency. The only one I had good experience was, I think his name is, David who was polite and efficient to find solutions or coupons for medications not covered by insurance. Terribale experience today during checkout. Rude register person names Priti, chatting with the store manager and not paying attention. My doctor sent 3 prescriptions to this pharmacy. They filled one. I called to ask why they didn't fill the others, they left me on hold for more than 20 minutes and then immediately hung up on me. I was shocked with the pharmacy malpractice led by the store pharmacy manager. On two of my recent Rx pickups, I had the worst, unprofessional experience. The pharmacy manger made her own judgement on how much medication to provide, completely disregarding Doctor's recommendation and prescription. I only learnt that the pharmacy gave me half of the Rx on my next visit to the Doctor's office when I enquired with the doctor why they gave me this smaller amount of medication. The pharmacy adopted the same philosophy of giving me less medication than prescribed on my next visit. When I brought this up with the manger, I was shocked with her demeaning and humiliating attitude, completely disrespecting and disregarding Doctor's recommendation and making her own assumptions and judgment on how much medication I would need and dispensing only half. She made me spend over an hour at the pharmacy, for what should have been less than 15 min pickup. She kept attending other customers, ignoring me. And this was just a topical lotion. It wasn't any controlled substance. I don't think or know if it can be used for anything other than what it was prescribed for. The only thing I can think of is some foul play and malpractice at the pharmacy or perhaps conniving with the insurance by charging same copay for half the medication. I have been with this pharmacy for over 20 years and never doubted or suspected foul practice and never really checked the medication with doctor's prescription that closely. Now I have completely lost trust and faith in them. I'm still in shock and disbelief that a pharmacy can adopt such a practice and whether or not there are any regulations, audits and oversight! read more
