Mixed experience here. I ordered an item for pickup. To my surprise, I got a notice that someone has picked up my order. I panicked and called. Marc assured me the item was there. The item was indeed there. Marc was friendly and awesome! Reading online, it seems like this pickup notice bug is very common. Lines are kept long coz there's only one window serving, no line for disabled or the elderly. 3. Staff in the pharmacy are over worked so there is no customer rapport. They lie about filling the prescription and say they don't have the stock but when the customer raises her voice and complaints... the supply is automatically filled in less then 30 minutes! (Meaning you have to threaten!) 4. They don't even say sorry when they make a mistake in giving you the wrong medication 5. Pharmacist here are not knowledgeable so be aware of your own medication... I had a very disappointing experience at this pharmacy. I received a call saying my medication was ready for pickup, so I went to the pharmacy. After waiting about 45 minutes, I was told that my prescription still needed to be filled. I then had to wait an additional 20 minutes. If the medication wasn't actually ready, I shouldn't have received a notification saying it was. The poor communication and long wait made the experience very frustrating. I hope the pharmacy improves its communication and customer service so this doesn't happen to other patients. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. The slowest and most inefficient pharmacy ever. I only go here because it's the closest to me. I was quoted 15-20 minutes to wait for my prescription. I was like fine, I'll wait and look around. I came by after 30 minutes, still not ready. I was told another 5 minutes then get back in line. I got back in line, still not ready for another 10 min. Were they even working on my prescription in the first place? I've been to this pharmacy at least 5 or 6 times and there's always a long *** wait. To management- something needs to change! read more

24hr Walgreens w/ a 24hr pharmacy! I'm for it, but only having one pharmacist and tech on duty w/ fluctuating lines, even at 11PM is WO.OW The entire store could use some tlc in the form of a modern update... I felt like I was visiting a Walgreens from 20 years ago with the old shades and colors on the wall and ceiling that have been touch up, but not much else. The isles are fairly wide, which I appreciate and the deals are solid. We had a few issues with filling prescriptions, but eventually were resolved. The poor pharmacist was crazy overwhelmed. I empathize with anyone working the nightshift, they do close the pharmacy from 130 AM to 2 AM, and the pharmacy techs and clerks are able to switch over with ease. I strongly dislike purchasing items for the store at the pharmacy, but we saw a gentlemen do it and it held up the line for quite a while... It's convenient for the person, but not so much for everyone else. The windows for the pharmacy are covered making it even more difficult for them to scan items outside of the pharmacy... The had to open the door, scan his items, bag them then bring them out again... We got a few snacks for the road on our way out and the clerk upfront was pleasant enough. No line! Very easy parking lot in a large shared plaza off El Camino Real & Grant Road, just behind the Alliance Gas Station. read more

Drugstores seem like a dying breed as there's more and more closures and the stores are less busy inside while the pharmacy can still take a while to get in and out. This Walgreens in Mountain View on corner of El Camino and Grant is one of the better ones. Plenty of parking, and the wait for prescriptions doesn't seem to be as crazy as other locations. read more

My friend and I walked into Walgreens around 4 AM and there was a gentleman who was very rude to me. I have polyarthritis and I have quite a bit of pain and he was asking me questions that were very irrelevant and already being in pain is one thing, but having someone Asking questions that have nothing to do with what I'm doing in the store was very unprofessional. Pharmacy dept. never gets my meds refilled at one time. It's bad enough that the lines are long but when I call to ask if my 4 meds will be ready to be picked up all at once they say, yes but it never is. There's always one refill not ready. This time I had to make 3 seperate calls to see if all my meds were ready to be picked up. After the second call, I'm assuming I spoke to a pharm tech, he said he'll add the 2 meds to be ready. He had a terrible attitude with me! Prior to going, I called again and the pharmacist said 2 meds still need to be refilled! I going call out that pharm tech and say, with his bad attitude, that pharm tech didn't even bother to put in that order to be refilled out of spite! I'm about to switch and try CVS. read more

This is for the pharmacy only. This is the worst run pharmacy I have ever seen. Plenty of people working in the back but only one person at pickup, even when the line is several people long. I have waited here for 45+ m on off hours just to get an already filled prescription picked up. Walgreens, please put some process improvement plans in place to improve efficiency here. People want to come because of the hours and drug availability but I will be moving pharmacies because the customer service is so bad. read more

This is my favorite Walgreens location in the Bay Area. They have a really great staff that will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time here. I recently came out to pick up some folders and a stapler and Gregory was working. A bunch of incompetent asshats here. My girlfriend took a big fall and spent a couple nights at the ER / hospital. Upon being discharged, we came here to fill her prescription. Big mistake. Kept rushing the pharmacist to give out her prescription but she kept saying "too many items, have to be careful". She had literally like seven items on the list. Her last painkillers eventually wore off and so she was sitting in pain, on a crappy Walgreens chair, next to a bunch of stupid slowpokes who couldn't find her meds for more than an hour. read more

This is got the pharmacy. Just avoid it. 1 hr to pick up antibiotics for a child. I was the second person in line and I waited half an hour to pay. I was sent to the consultation line where I waited another half hour for the antibiotics to be mixed and given to me. While I was in line other people were complaining that they've been waiting over an hour and they were told to wait another 20 min. Either they are severely understaffed or just imbeciles. I just tried to get a COVID shot from Walgreen's at 4170 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA. The store and pharmacy display large signs that flu and COVID shots are now available, "Walk-Ins Welcome." I arrived at the pharmacy at 8:10 pm; the store was nearly empty. When I asked for a shot, the pharmacist told me I would have to come back because it was too close to closing time and they prefer to give shots during daytime. Closing time for the pharmacy is 9 pm, and there was only 1 other person waiting for a shot, plus 1 waiting for a prescription. She also told me I could a scan QR code on her window, and see if I could get permission to be a walk-in, or alternatively make an appointment. I did, but there was no option for any walk-ins, and their linked website said there were no appointments available in the near future. I complained to the asst. manager, who apologized for not putting up a sign stating shots were only available during certain hours, and said he will ask the store manager to change the current signs throughout the store. He said to come back another day. I told him Walgreens said no appointments are available in the near future, explained I have a disability and coming back another day would be difficult. He refused to make any accommodation. read more

Horrible customer service from the store manager. It was around mid December 2022 and I printed Christmas photo cards online and picked it up in the store. The picture color wasn't as vivid as the digital copy I had upload online and I wanted my husband's opinion on it so I paid for it and showed it to him at the car. He hated it and told me to just return it and go somewhere else to print it again. I went back in the store and told the lady that my husband doesn't like it and we would like to return it and she said "You looked at it before you paid for it so why didn't you tell me that before" then I told her my husband didn't like the quality and she said it was because of original photo quality when I uploaded online. Btw I took Christmas photos from Gilroy Garden and the quality of the digital print was great. After I told her I would like to return it and said it is expensive because it cost $62.00 and we don't like it. She replied with "So is our time" I was shocked and offended that she responded in such a rude way so I asked her "Are you going to refund me or not". She said she will only do it this time and gave me a refund. I went on Walgreens website after I left and it clearly has a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy. I went home and called the customer service line and the representative gave me a Ref. # for the complaint and told me a district manager will contact me in a few days. I waited and waited and no call at all. I decide to complain again on the Walgreens website and again I got a Ref. # and a member of management will contact me within two business days. Until this day I still haven't got a call. I went in to Walgreens last week and asked a lady to help me do a price check as she was stocking the shelves and as she was scanning the price, I realized she was the same lady at the photo department that day that was helping me with the horrible customer service, I glanced at her name tag and realized she was a store manager there. No wonder I did not get a call and my complaint didn't matter because she was a store manager. Just because she is a store manager doesn't give her the right to be so rude to the customer. She needs to take her manager course again and learn how to provide decent customer service. read more

The level of customer service received by the night pharmacist on the phone was truly insincere. As many women may know that some contraceptive pills with the same active ingredient is essential "the same" but everyone experiences a wide range of side effects based on the brand or generic version they use. I would have expected the pharmacist to be more empathetic in her approach and way of delivering her message that the pills "were all basically the SAME THING". I remained calm and didn't try to justify myself but still tried to request the brand I continued to use for the past year. She sounded so agitated that I dared to ask for the same generic brand of pills to stay consistent. Besides that experience, visiting Walgreens has been increasingly inconvenient and frustrating. They don't train their staff to be kind and helpful. The pharmacists here and in Sunnyvale appear extremely unhappy/bad at providing a decent customer service experience to people who bring business to Walgreens. read more

"ATTENTION STAY AWAY". Went to pick up a prescription for my wife of Clindamycin LOTION. She was using the GEL vision but the doctor switched it. We have been getting various texts and calls and emails about the lotion being ready for pickup. To the point they gave us a 5 day pick-up time before they put it back on the shelve. The women who was at the front of the pharmacy the same one who rang me up with the posted receipt told me nothing is ready for pickup. So I explained the the notifications and showed her my wife's mychart showing the the medicine is ready at this "PHARMACY". She just was silent and said we can have it ready in 20-30 minutes. I am confused at this point because they were spamming us this whole time during the holidays to get there and have to wait 30 minutes. After 30 minutes the pharmacist tosses the lotion on the counter. The girl rings me up and then proceeded to tell me if I had listed to her in the beginning they would have not had made me wait so long. So I confirmed with her that it is the lotion not the gel just for reconfirmation. She said yes it is like I told you. I even go on GoodRX and show her the picture of the lotion to make sure. I get home after work and sure enough my wife gets another text saying her prescription is ready. So I opened the bag and it's a refill of the Clindamycin Gel not the lotion. So the rude and condescending of the cashier and pharmacist turns out they both were wrong! CONGRATULATIONS! People in these positions need to have a better attention to detail because although this case was not extreme older folks who rely on these people could Be overdosed or given the wrong medicine. read more

There are a million drugstores in the Bay Area, do yourself a favor and avoid this one all together. Probably the most poorly run drugstore I've ever been to. Every time I've been the pharmacy line is a 30-40 min wait. This is because the pharmacists are so disorganized and take 5+ minutes to process a simple pickup. The last 2 times I went to pickup a prescription and gave up after 30 min in line after watching only 2-3 folks get processed. Finally when I made it to the front of the line I was told it would be another 30mim wait before they could put together my prescription that I was told over the phone was ready for pickup. read more

This is a review for the pharmacy, a mix of visiting it at a good time (4 stars) and at a bad time (1 star or zero stars if possible). The place is quite badly organized, this explains the preponderance of 1-star reviews here. My experience on weekday at 4PM: come at a wrong time, the place is miserable: I have waited in line for 40 (!) minutes (there were only 3 chairs for 10+ people!), then the young pharmacist was not able to locate my prescription (transmitted electronically by a major hospital) or even simply find my record in the computer (I've been at this place many times before) and redirected me to another window (used for covid shots arrangements), where a more experienced employee was working, waited for 10 more minutes, pushed this person to take care of me, blocked the COVID line for 10 minutes, was told to come back in half an hour to pick up the prescription. NONE of interactions were smooth, everyone spent at least 5 minutes at the window. Very bad experience, and would have been a total disaster if one doesn't know how to work the system. Came later the same day at 7PM - no lines. Waited at the window for 5 minutes and finally got my prescription. Why come here at all? Well this is one of the few remaining places left with long hours of operation (don't trust the 424/7 label, they do close for the night). It the expanded hours are not important to you, avoid: there are many more predictable pharmacies. If someone from Walgreens is reading: 1) There are three windows to service the general line. Man at least two of them at peak times: there were 6 (six!) people behind the glass during my first, horrible, visit. 2) Fix the IT systems. They are either broken or too complex. Getting my prescription right took the most senior pharmacist 10 minutes. Both the prescription and my data should have been already in the system. 3) While at it, fix the express checkout. It did not work at all when I tried. 4) Reorganize and/or expand the pharmacy area. Part of the problem was clearly due to drugs - and filled prescriptions - being hard for staff to locate. read more

Worst service ever! I don't know how they are buying all these five stars. Due to the staff shortage, they have been continuously closing the pharmacy early. All the automated messages say we are open till 9 pm or 10 pm, but when tried to go physically they are saying 'sorry we have staff shortage...'. They can't update the hours in the automated system or google or website, but they can just waste peoples' time. How shitty this service can be! I went to the pharmacy (2140 El Camino Real) multiple times due to the automated message and saw the same f*** closing message. read more
