This is my favorite drug store. The pharmacy staff are amazing and remember you by your name. They are incredibly helpful and personable. The pharmacy staff at this location abuse their pharmacy customers who call on the phone. They will repeatedly answer the phone call that is ON HOLD. Then immediately hang up while inserting my call back into the HOLD queue. They will do this for 40+ minutes. I got frustrated with this on April 28th; drove to the location; stood in line while my call was ON HOLD. Then while in line for 10 minutes, I watched the staff ignore my call while re-inserting my call that is ON HOLD back into the queue. This is customer abuse. read more

I just went to Walgreens to purchase a few items. When I went to go check out the lady kept saying stuff and I thought she was talking to me at first. Then I figured out she's got her Bluetooth headset on and she's talking on her phone while she's working and helping customers. Very unprofessional. read more

The only thing weighing down this Walgreens is the lack of coffee options in the back refrigerators. This Walgreens has the coolest digital refrigerators with LED screens in the back, but it's would even be better if they were stocked with various types of coffee. Every time I visit, they are out of good beverages on a hot day. Such a cool refrigerator, but poorly stocked. Other than that when I walk out empty handed, because there is absolutely nothing to drink, the employees give me side eye as if I stole something. I stopped going after 5 times, because drinks and desserts were out. I can buy anything else for less when I'm grocery shopping, so that's where I go now. Know your audience, know what will sell, know your products, and you'll do fine. read more

This review is for the Walgreens Photo Center at this location only. Before you order photo prints or related products online (especially Same Day service), absolutely do not choose this location for pickup. The Photo Center is incredibly disorganized, and there is very clearly zero training for the staff. If you choose this location, you will not receive your order on time. Definitely do not order *anything* with Same Day turnaround. This has happened to me twice now - once before the pandemic and then again this week. The first time I thought it was just a bad day, but after having the same experience this week, it's now a pattern of poor customer service: * Staff clueless about my order - can't locate it, confusing it with other customers' orders and seemingly unable to look it up in their system * For same day order pickup many hours after the estimated pickup time - telling me they have no materials to print it and to come back later * Getting the specifics of my order completely wrong even when I ordered online so the specifications are clear - in this case, "Framed Matted Print - Black w/ White Mat 8x10 Print" - they literally did not know what this meant and kept trying to tell me that I ordered a floating frame when the online order clearly shows that I didn't * Staff having no clue about basic aspects of the products that they sell. Example: I had to keep explaining that a "matted frame" is not a "matte frame" - "We don't have matte frames, we only have shiny." The online order said a matTED frame. A frame with paper behind the photo - this is not a matte/shiny issue at all * Telling me that they are out of the frame I ordered online entirely 7 hours after estimated pickup time and that my order couldn't be fulfilled on time (of course) * Zero apology or offer to make anything right, and total nonchalance when I finally had to cancel the order altogether because they could not read my online order, understand what products I ordered, and fulfill it on time Save yourself the frustration and go to CVS. Absolutely 100% permanently done with this Photo Center. read more

If I could leave zero stars for this pharmacy location I would. I've tried to refrain from writing a review and give this pharmacy the benefit of the doubt but after over a year of poor customer service I am going else where. I am literally writing this as I wait at the drive through (which is over 10 min now and I am the second car). Two others already left because of the ridiculous wait time. My turn at the drive through finally came and no one to acknowledge me so I hit the call button and was told someone would be with me shortly. Another 7 min has gone by and I hit the call button again and get the same response. This time I make it clear I've waited long enough. In summary, the wait times to pick up filled prescriptions at this drive through is typically 10 minutes or longer, even if there are no other cars other than mine. Going inside is not that much quicker. The last time I was here I was asked to pay for my meds and I mentioned this is a routine medication and I've never had to pay are they sure it's the right medication. The employee was confident and said yes so I paid for it. Thankfully I checked before I drove off. I was given someone else's medication with all their personal info on it (name, address). It took another 10 minutes to get refunded for the wrong prescription I paid for. I worked over 6 years as a pharmacy clerk when I was in college and post college. This place is slow and inefficient. The pharmacy manager needs to train it's staff or get replaced! read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I usually use CVS as my preferred pharmacy, but I had a medication that CVS said they don't carry, so I had to opt for Walgreens instead. WOW, if I ever had complaints about CVS pharmacy, they are like the Four Seasons compared to Walgreens. Their phone line is truly awful. You are supposed to be able to say what you need and get help from their automated messaging system, but I've NEVER been able to get the system to actually direct me correctly. And then when I finally get directed to the pharmacy line, I get put on hold. And wait. And wait. And occasionally, the hold music will end and the line will ring like someone is about to pick up...but then the hold music returns! This happens several times, until finally, I inevitably get hung up on. My fiancé was in the room during one of my attempts to reach the pharmacy, and he was appalled just listening to the process. It was infuriating the first couple times this happened, but I realized that it is inevitable to get hung up on once, and then have to try calling all over again. And then you get put on hold again and have to wait in hopes that this time, a human being will actually pick up. Most recently when I tried calling this morning, I was on hold for over an hour, not exaggerating. I ended up giving up and trying again after lunch and amazingly was able to speak to someone in the pharmacy after being on hold for 20 minutes. What a miracle. Their delivery SUCKS. With CVS, they always tell you delivery will take two days, but it ALWAYS comes a day early. I was spoiled and didn't even realize. Walgreens delivery supposedly takes around 5 days, but the first time I went in store to pick up my medication, the wait was so long I decided to request delivery anyway. The package got lost. This led to a nightmare with insurance, as they were insisting my medication was filled even though it had gone missing during delivery. I was told to contact the mail service used. I tried calling Walgreens for assistance, but they said the local store doesn't handle deliveries and they couldn't help me. Good lord, I don't know if it's just that I happened to pick the shittiest Walgreens in the area, but I've never had such an awful experience with any CVS pharmacy, and I've had to switch pharmacies due to address changes multiple times. If there were any other place I could get my medication, I WOULD NOT USE WALGREENS. Even when you do reach someone on the phone, they are super rude and unfriendly and seem to try to be as unhelpful as possible. If it were possible to give 0 stars, this Walgreens pharmacy would get my first 0 star rating ever! Congratulations! Oh, and they do vaccines, but by appointment only. Don't worry, it'll be like you didn't make an appointment! You're going to have to wait like you did a walk-in! I scheduled a flu shot and had to wait 40 minutes. I recently had some medical issues that had to be addressed immediately. Part of the prescription was antibiotics, and part of the prescription was controlled substances. I went to this pharmacy to get my medication faster. I had some sub par experiences with other pharmacies before. Nice store, nice staff, but for goodness sake, if someone is in pain, they don't want to wait. I'm giving 4 stars since these people were kind enough to get on it in the end. I have been trying to get a prescription filled for four weeks. They keep saying that they need to call my doctor despite it being a refill. My doctor says that she had called it in twice. I finally got a written paper prescription from my doctor. I took it to Walgreens three days ago. Nope they still haven't filled it. I took a new paper copy today and now they say that they need a "wet signature". They also told me to be patient! I told them that I needed a new pharmacy and they said that would be good. Specifically for the pharmacy, well the people who are in charge of hiring. The pharmacy is understaffed and overwhelmed. The pharmacy Manager seemed stressed and spread extremely thin. Although as polite as possible her stress was evident when speaking to customers, like myself. Phones ringing none stop, hold times becoming longer and longer. I commend the pharmacy manager for really holding it together considering she has nearly no help. I didn't surprise why this Walgreens received lowest star and lots of negative feedback, I went there to purchase testing kit, cashier didn't mention it's non-refundable item, if I knew it's non-refundable o wouldn't have it, purchased at 9am and returned within an hour, manger check with cashier and cashier admitted she did not mention it's non-refundable but manger just walked away...... what the hell it's going on this store manager, doesn't know how to handle the case, she literally walked away out the door and did not come back. I had a very good experience with the photo department here. I ordered 7 photo albums which had to be completed within a couple of days. I had to change my order a couple of times because I wasn't happy with what I had ordered. The staff at the photo center was very friendly and accommodating. I want to give a big shout out in particular to Nicholas, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and got my order done on time, despite me making changes to it midway through - and he didn't charge me for all of the extra work he had to do. I would definitely come here again if I need to have photos processed. read more

I went in today to look for a Walgreens exclusive item and didn't find it on the shelves but I asked a nice young lady - I think her name was Masa - and she went above and beyond to try and find the item for me. She was super nice and accommodating with helping me pick out the items and helped me carry it to the cashier. I absolutely love this Walgreens, they are very clean, tidy, and well stocked. Consistently have problems having prescriptions refilled. Calling in which was once easy has become ridiculous with almost a constant requirement to speak to a pharmacist. Tried the online app in hopes of better results. App would indicate prescriptions ready for pick up yet when I arrived they hadn't been filled nor the doctor contacted for a prescription renewal. It's your run-of-the-mill Walgreens. The customer service is fine and you can get your flu shot here. I visit often to pick up prescriptions or anything I run out of at home (milk, sugar, bread, lightbulbs, you know the drill). They accept FSA/HSA debit cards if you happen to have one for eligible purchases and if you have extra $ left on your at the end of the year, this can be a place to go on a shopping spree. The pharmacy always has a queue, so I'm actively considering moving all of my prescriptions to an online service but just haven't gotten around to doing it. read more

A new Walgreens sitting on once was the old Togo's I ate at when I first graduated from college. They tore down the whole site and built a brand new building. Inventory wise it's larger than most Walgreens but not that different in offerings. i'm very excited that my neighborhood-walking distance walgreens has finally opened its doors for business! i had the privilege of attending the official ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome this new store to mountain view. the event was attended by city council members, walgreens management and staff (some from other locations), local business owners and residents (like myself). they provided coffee, cookies, and miniature cupcakes for us to enjoy while we listened to some of the speakers. there were also walgreens branded goodie bags for attendees. i love the layout of this store, very clean, and you can actually seen the signage for every aisle as soon as you walk in. there is a photo center, complete with kiosks and chairs so that you can personalize/customize your photo needs. in the back, there is a pharmacy, again, very nice layout and clear signage. to the left of the store is the dedicated cosmetics counter. they have a drive-thru pharmacy, which is super convenient, as they are the only location in mountain view with this feature. i look forward to walking here for all of my drugstore and cosmetics needs! read more

DO NOT SEND YOUR PRESCRIPTION HERE. This pharmacy is absolutely the WORST I have ever been to in my 15 years of picking up medications and I highly recommend you look elsewhere. I have picked up prescriptions from dozens of pharmacies and this one takes the crown for the last place. Want to wait on the phone for 1 hour minimum to talk to a pharmacist? Want to modify your prescription? Good luck because it's most likely going to be screwed up anyways when you go to pick it up. How about showing up well after you've been notified (hours, days) that your medications are ready, but in reality it's not ready or they are unable to find it. "Please step aside and wait while we fill your prescription." OR "Sorry we have to close please come back in half an hour." Excuse me, what? My prescription says it was ready hours/days ago...? No matter how much effort you put in on your end to make things go smoothly, when you go to pick up your medications there is an extremely high likelihood that the results will be far below your expectations. I have been picking up prescriptions here for over 6 months, but enough is enough. The people working at this pharmacy are beyond incompetent and it's astounding to me that it is still in business. As of today I am 100% transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy. This place needs a kick in the ass because the service they provide is seriously unacceptable, especially when you are paying a premium on medications compared to other pharmacies. read more

I need to add value to my Clipper card for Caltrain/BART/VTA, the cashier said she could leave the cash register, but after 10+ minutes, I see no 2nd staff coming, and I could not wait any longer need to leave. The staff is so slow though there are no lines. Everytime I come here, it's is excruciatingly slow. usually there are 5-6 staff at the pharamacy but it takes them more than 15 minutes per customer. Happens regularly with Walgreens, clearly the company isn't trying hard enough to fix its staffing issues.
