Hello, We stopped in to shop at Our Fav Dollar Tree on Sat 1/31/26. It was 9:10 PM. The store was very clean and the employees were working hard at helping customers. I brought in my list and bought everything I needed and found new items to purchase also. We did not feel rushed and when we reached the counter, the nice lady at the register was a great help to Us. Another nice employee held the door open for us so my Husband could carry our bags out to the car. We were the final shoppers of the evening. My husband likes the price scanners as the prices of items can go from .50 up to 1.25, 1.50, 1.75, 5.00, 7.00 & 10.00 . I always enjoy shopping here and Sat's visit was a very nice & happy one. Made a quick stop here. Very clean and well organized Dollar tree on Middlefield Road. Funny thing is years ago on this very grounds I used to work out at the 21st point gym where the Dollar tree store is now. . Not only are the lines (over the holidays) long with just one person manning the register, I waited 20 min in that long line for a happy birthday balloon, only to find out there was no helium. That's fine, but there was also no sign to let me (and other customers) know there was NO HELIUM AVAILABLE to avoid having customers wait in long lines for nothing. We just moved to Mountain View and made our 3rd trip to The Dollar Tree this evening. What a complete 180 degrees from the Dollar Tree in San Jose! This store is clean and organized but the biggest difference are the employees! Diane helped us for the second time in a row. She is so sweet and helpful! We bought a ton of stuff including dishes. She wrapped everything for us one by one while chatting about Thanksgiving and her family. We also needed extra bags from our prior trip to Walmart (who ran out) and she accommodated us happily! If you need something quickly, do not come here. You go to the dollar store to, well, pay $1 for an item. The lines are very long. Usually only one cashier, but sometimes two. Best to come in the morning when it first opens to avoid lines, but then you are stuck with the messy shelves of items totally disorganized like there was a party the night before. They do have a good variety of items from office supplies, snacks, seasonal items, greeting cards, and even wine glasses! If you see someone in line ahead of you ordering helium balloons, you have been warned. Add another 10 to 15 minutes to your wait. read more

I love this Dollar Tree! To be honest and fair, the employees here take a lot of s**t from customers and customers come in as if they have a hole burning in their pocket. This is a bargain store where you get great prices, name brands and awesome finds. Everyone who complains about an employee here is most likely a Karen who's entitled AF and has no patients for a bargain store. If you want a to buy corporate go to Target and pay full price and b***h to them the people at the Dollar Tree don't need your trash. Sandra, the manager at this location is doing a killer job on keeping this store together with everything that's going on during the pandemic. She's the sweetest lady and always willing to put a smile on my face and have a quick chat. She did tell me she trained this new guy, he had a European accident and his attitude was on point, I remember I asked how he was doing and he said something along the lines of "aye, this is a real bad time for everyone so we have to stay positive because we're in this together and we can't start being mean to one another so I try and stay positive even though it really sucks right now." The pure compassion for human kind out of someone who rang me up shocked me because he is right, we are all in this together n we need to show some sort of compassion. I have been to this Dollar Tree several times now to be able to give a fair review. When you first walk in, there is a lot of clutter and I get that they are probably having a hard time of keeping it stocked nicely, but it is a first impression. The store is small and as you go from aisle to aisle, more of the same messy shelves. There is only one register, so that is a bottleneck for sure. Last time I went there, I wanted to pick up some balloons. You pick out from pull out shelves what balloons you want and go pay for it, then they will blow it up for you. Since they seem to be understaffed, at one point, the employee was helping me with the balloons and no one else took over the register. Everyone had to wait. So, overall, I don't recommend coming here unless it's a last resort and if you are not in a hurry. Maybe if management does some improvements, it could be better. read more

I came here to grab some items and as others have mentioned, there IS only 1 person cashiering while there's an 8-10 person line that's been waiting. This is management's fault as they don't hire enough and the current staff there still have other duties to stock supplies, receive shipments, etc... Anyways, the lady at the register today, the stars are for her. I wish I saw her name. The line she had would've stressed anyone out but she was pleasant and very friendly with literally EVERYONE! I came looking for tall cylinder vases for my best friend's wedding. I wanted to use them for her centerpieces. The fact that Dollar Tree only has them for a dollar versus their competitor's price of five dollars, that's considered a steal in my book. I came to this location to hoping to purchase the ones I saw online. Walked through the entire store just to find out they don't have any variety of vases there. This was really disappointing. Usually I'd give a store the benefit of the doubt and purchase a different size or style vase, but they didn't have any vases to choose from. The store's location is hidden within the corner of a plaza. I almost missed the entrance into the parking lot. It's smaller than the other Dollar Tree locations and the lighting is dim. The parking lot can get full pretty quick. Your best bet is to go during the week and call ahead of time if you're looking for something specific. read more

It's the only dollar store around so I enjoy it. It's too bad they don't keep it cleaner. The floors are dirty and there is a general dirtiness compared to other dollar stores. The clerks have been fine over the years except for my last visit. The older woman who waited on me was rude - I've never seen her before. I hope she is not there the next time. It taints the pleasure of the shopping trip to have a clerk say something rude at the last minute. I paid cash and got my change then she wanted me to push some buttons on the point-of-sale keypad. I said I didn't like to touch them because of germs and she crowed, "But you touch dirty money!" She seemed really angry and personally insulted about it. Every single time i come to this location, the line is wrapped around the store. I always see managers and other employees walking around and looking at shelves while there's only one cashier. I'm currently standing in line and the one poor cashier has asked for a manager 3 times on the over com, i watched the manager along with 2 other associates walk right past her into the back room. Why is it that every dollar tree seems to leave one cashier up there to deal with customers who have been in line for 20-25 minutes? I lived in this neighborhood for 17 years and taught exercise classes in this building when it was a health club. This store is unfortunately a major disservice/embarassment to our community. The wait to pay was so long because only 1 cashier opened, when I reached the cashier Leilani, she was not greeting me but gave me the attitude because I wanted to get some balloons and I had to pick up myself from the drawers, she said only 1 person here can't do both. We saw 2 more staffs but did nothing to help her, just hiding back there. While I was paying a lady before me, came back to ask about her receipt, Leilani said I put it in the box along with your shopping (she had 16 xmas ornaments). She left after. I paid using CC with chip on it and when I checked my receipt it has all the 16 ornaments charges on my bill which I only bought 10 items and it became 26 items, I asked Leilani and she said it must be not your receipt, and I said yes it is, this is my CC no and you gave it to me after it came out from the register. And I said these are not mine, I didn't buy for those items but why I had to pay for it, and I want my money back, and another guy Bogart came and said we can't give your money back and asked me to call my bank. They did nothing the whole customers about 10 of them witnessing the rudeness of the store manager and his staff. I've just come out of this store and I'm very disappointed. The store itself is okay, like any other dollar tree. However, it's the second time that I've been very rudely treated. The person at the register(an older red-headed woman) was clearly unhappy for being there and showed no one respect while attending the costumers. So far I've been here three times and all the items I've bought were $1 ea. I like how it's inexpensive, everything I buy is practical and useful. I don't like how there is only one cashier working behind the counter. Every time I've gone to check out, that one cashier has his or her hands full. The first time I've gone took a long time was because the cashier needed to break $100 bill. Last week the cashier had to blow up five balloons and today the veteran cashier had to stand back and watch a rookie does her job right. That's why I knock a star off, the wait is always about 10 mins long when it could've been shorter if the manager could lend a hand or hire someone to. PS- today, 11/5 I went to the dollar store again, had to wait for more than 10 mins because there's this lady in front of me that needed to do an exchange. The matter was complicated that involved a manager because she wanted to return the food she bought from the store, but the employee working there before said she can when the rule was no returns on food. Why oh why must there be drama in that store? There's always some sort of drama that follows a long wait. And who gets screw? Me. Fml. read more
