Very surprised why this store wasn't listed on yelp. I couldn't help but register this business as customer. I ran into this store without any preplan. Wanted to buy a kid's mask(they carry multiple theme ones). Once I entered, I was like wow, this is all in one store. This store has pretty much all the supplies that you find at dollar store, party city, some small convenient stores and such. You can pretty much find anything. Prices are super cheap and the owner was super nice too. I discovered that this lady has been running this business for about 20 years. I would support this kind of local business which must be competing with other chain business as well as online shopping. Prices are $1 and up. You need hair clippers, bags, baby crafts and all other stuffs, this store has it. Handicrafts, household collection, cleaning supplies and too many stuffs. Most importantly, it's next to Safeway and is inconvenient location. It's a hidden Gem and you will end up finding more than you are looking, as well as surprisingly satisfied with it. Additionally, they do have purified water you can fill up here. Note: Support local, be part of community. You can complain about certain things, but you shall also not hesitate compliment what they are good at.

That was fine when my son would come there to get chips and Ramune, but then he tried to be nice and get me a pair of slippers. I was waiting in the car for him. He grabbed a pair of slippers, but didn't think to get a receipt - which apparently has no value anyways - and brought them back to the car. They were way too small, so I sent him back to exchange (60 seconds after he'd left the store). The lady at the counter said he could not because he had no receipt (not even a true statement as you'll find out). So, then he didn't want to disappoint me and went and got another pair. The sizing is in super super small print, and he got it wrong again. I went back with him and asked for a refund. The lady at the counter was nervous and said she would need to call a manager. Another guy came up, and said he couldn't help, and called for a third person. This guy comes up and says he can't help me, and points to the receipt that says "no returns or exchanges"... which begs the question, why even have receipts?! I said he just bought these two items a minute ago, and the "second" manager said there were no exceptions. I get it if we brought back slippers that had been used, but clearly that wasn't the case. I've told my son to go next door to the Marketplace now for his Ramunes and snacks, which he buys 3-4 times a week. I would say they have terrible customer service, but they really have NO customer service. I had a decent impression of this store and now think they are awful. I am stuck with two pairs of slippers that don't fit and my young son feels badly about the whole thing. Much ado about losing $12? Maybe, but the experience is way more important than the goods, and the experience was hot garbage.

The staff tries to move the line pretty quickly and they try to keep the carts stacked near the entrance so you can easily get one cart. And and store is clean well kept. I would consider it a small to medium sized grocery store with a decent selection of produce, milk, eggs and canned foods at a reasonable price. There's frequently great prices on many protein options; some changing each trip but many essentials staying consistently in stock like chicken and ground beef. The staff is really friendly, the app frequently offers coupons and updates with the current inventory. Yes - inventory is changing all the time and they are not going to consistently have some of the same items like snack foods, frozen items, drinks, other items of that nature, but I always find myself pretty satisfied with what I can find. Also, the pleasant surprises I find throughout the store along with the steeply discounted prices compared to Safeway or Nob Hill usually make up for what I don't find. I consistently find my usual laundry detergent, great candles, new wines to try, hygiene items and over-the-counter medication all at much better prices than the typical commercial grocery store around Campbell. I don't mind making two trips for grocery shopping considering how much money I save when I do so.

You can tell that they are careful about what they decide to put out on the floor. The items were all in good condition and contemporary. Everything was priced to sell and I snagged some good deals on some pots for my plants. I was looking for a single teacup but they didn't have any on the floor. The prices are beyond great if you love vintage clothing and know fabrics. I may have found my favorite dress of all time here for a whopping $14 (because it's a two piece set of decorative vintage fabric) it was in the premium section and the volunteers were adorable making sure I knew why it was priced this way. (I couldn't afford a yard of this fabric retail I'm giddy about a vintage two piece set that I can customize). To then discover that the proceeds go to support women's scholarships was the ultimate bonus! My grand total for everything was $54 and I happily gave my change to the donation bucket by the register. If you are in the area and love unique vintage items this is a must explore. I had to resist the urge to buy several of the tea cup collections. I'm a sucker for vintage tea sets and they have several that are stunning! Great shop, fantastic volunteers who are donating their time to support a wonderful cause.

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2021…read more Quarantine Chronicles - May 2021 Ave Maria is an essential shop for Catholics. Long ago you couldn't take photos in the shop but I spoke with one of the clerks and they said it's fine to take photos but they still haven't taken the old sign where it said photos are not allowed. In the advent of the internet and social media the only way businesses can survive is by customers sharing photos online. I've been coming to this shop for over 30 years with my family. The shop is specific for Catholics. They have all materials that Catholics may be interested in such as books for children, books for adults, dvds, musical cds, gifts, crucifixes, bottles for holy water, candles, gift sets for first holy communion, confirmation gifts, cards for all occasions, prayer cards, the selection is amazing! They even have garments for Priests, Deacons and things you might need for inside the church but that is separate from the main shopping area. Customer service is good on the phone and in person. The only problem is they only had two staff on a very busy Saturday. They require masks to be worn inside due to the pandemic. Upon entering you are required to sanitize your hands and the sanitizer station. Selection was a little slim on communion and confirmation items as many children are having their first communion and confirmation. I was still able to get the items I needed. One thing I love is their greeting card section - it's super extensive, for all occasions. This is a one stop shop for all your Catholic needs. A favorite place of mine to shop for sure :) Noelle's Notes A great resource for all things Catholic. They are taking pandemic precautions- must wear a mask to shop and sanitize hands upon entering. They are closed on Sundays. If you cannot get here another great catholic resource is the religious gift shop at Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara (not far from Great America and Mission College).

I wanted to pick up a couple of scapulars, St Michael cards and a St Michael book for my son's school project and they had many children's book options. They carry rosaries, figurines, art work, cards, wind chimes, music, books and many other items that would be great gifts overall and if you are looking for something to celebrate the Sacraments. Now that I know this store is here, I will be sure to frequent it! Parking is very easy to find as there are plenty of them right in front of the store.
