The store itself looked like other Walgreens. Half disarray half organized. Common theme is lack of staff. There was no one in the photo area. I press the button and no one helps me for at least 15-20 minutes. While I'm there there are several people on the main checkout line trying to pay but no staff. However you see staff roaming around. If this was Oakland or some other ghetto area, everyone could have just walked out with merch. Finally someone helps me and the guy was unprofessional and seemed like he was in another world. Another customer came to use the photo automated touch screen and it wasn't working and he made a snide remark to her which prompted her to reply back that he doesn't have to be rude about it. It was a disaster. He found the folder of the photo print, and in the process of checking out, he opened the folder and said the print wasn't actually in there. After fumbling for sometime, another staff member opened the folder and the print was there all along. Like I said, he was out of this world. She leaves and I'm waiting to finally get checked out and he disappears in the back. After more time passes, the other employee comes back and I said I just want to go its been nearly an hour. She finally gets my receipt and in this process that guy comes back out WITH A REPRINT OF THE PHOTO. Like he didn't know what has just been happening this whole time. I took that survey on the receipt and the store manager responded. Clearly Walgreens is going downhill. Look at the reviews of all their stores. It's not good. Corporate needs to come down on all these underperforming stores. They should just stick being just a pharmacy. Walmart, Costco, and CVS seem to be running things much smoother. If you have a bad experience here--which likely you will--do that survey on the receipt.

Incompetent & condescending pharmacy staff on Saturday. Waited 25 minutes in a (slow moving) long…read moreline just to find out that the antibiotic wasn't in stock & they'll need to order for Monday (2 days later). I was confused because my doc confirmed with the pharmacist regarding stock availability when the doc phoned in the prescription about an hour ago. When I confronted the pharmacy staff, she was really defensive, rude & uncaring with no apologies whatsoever. The same staff then grabs the actual antibiotic from the shelf & yells in a snarky tone to come back in one hour & did confirmed the antibiotics was in fact in stock. I have since transferred all my family prescriptions to a locally owned independent pharmacy.

I have been using this pharmacy for a long time with few issues. I really want them to succeed,…read morebecause they are in walking distance from my house and it's a nice, large store with generally good stocking and friendly people. However, I'm old and wanted to get the new COVID vaccine recently. I got an appointment, showed up, and they refused the vaccine because I'm on Medicare. I called the pharmacist after and talked to her about it, and she started that they couldn't give me the vaccine because of my Medicare supplement. I pointed out that vaccines are part of normal Medicare and do not require a supplement, so it doesn't matter what supplement I have. She suggested I go to CVS, so I went to the one in Willow Glen and had a very nice experience. Now, I'm not even sure it's legal for them to refuse a vaccine for someone on "regular" Medicare (not "Medicare advantage," which I might understand), or if they have gotten into some anti-vax "MAHA" kick. But I want to warn my fellow older neighbors that this Walgreens seems to not be friendly to Medicare patients any more. Really a shame and very disappointing, but, outside of warning you, I don't know what can be done about this except take the little side trip to CVS.
