I rarely give this kind of review but Savco has earned it's unrivaled position as Santa Clara County's Best Pharmacy (according to this former County Commissioner, of a Santa Clara County Healthcare Planning Commission) with consistently premier service I've been given for over 2.5 decades of my depending on them. And I'm not a simple customer because I take between 13-15 meds a day, have debilitating chronic pain (2 meds), ADHD (2meds), Bipolar Type 1 (4meds), HIV+ (2meds), & minor others along with very frequent med changes. No other pharmacy has actually made my life easier & been pleasant to deal with. Because she cares. She wants you to be well. I've gone to other small, independent pharmacies. I like them because they're locally owned. I like them because when you talk to the people there, it's usually the same people - not a giant rotating cast - and that matters because it means less "I don't know who told you that but..." and "above my paygrade / not my job." I like them because their wait times are almost nil, especially compared to giant chains. I like them because they're able to pivot more easily when a wholesaler or manufacturer is having a problem. I transferred from a big retail pharmacy and while I empathize that those folks are overworked and understaffed, it was really difficult to get a hold of any of them to get my C2 medications filled on time unless I were to go in person, ask them to fill it, and then return another time for pickup. With Cate and Wellcome, I can easily send a text or call. However, because Cate knows I will regularly need these medications, she works out the calendar to know when they can be filled and tells me the dates. Parking is easy in the El Paseo plaza - it's in the section of the plaza next to Saratoga Avenue - a little northeast of Lawrence/Quito, next to a traffic light. It's been such a delight these few weeks knowing my medications are handled in a timely and wonderful manner. I really appreciate the care Cate provides and her desire to be here for the community. It's so nice to be able to develop that relationship with a pharmacist as many retail pharmacists don't get the chance to do so with their patients due to the volume of their work.

I called to get a prescription…read morethat was delayed due to power outage last week and not optimistic I'd be able to get it before I travel overseas in two days. Richard took my call and said he'd do his best to get it by Thursday, which is all the info he could provide. I know that the medication takes a minimum of 3 days to arrive at the pharmacy after being ordered and often up to a week. He called me back about 20 minutes later saying he found the medication and I could come pick it up right then. Incredible! Richard is a superstar hero. I got to the pharmacy an hour later and -- no surprise -- there's a line of over 10 people waiting to pick up. But, instead of the usual one person very slowly helping customers, there were three staff members fulfilling prescriptions so the line moved very fast. This is a huge change from the past couple years where the same selection of slow unhelpful staff take their time helping customers and the lines at Campbell pharmacy moved very slowly. I don't know what happened but this change is very welcome and much appreciated.

My mom was always a loyal patient/customer of Bascom Pharmacy as she would drive 7+ miles to this pharmacy to have her prescriptions filled. After a while, the pharmacy would send the maintenance prescriptions to my mom's house, unless my mom had an appointment close by and will go pick up the new prescriptions in person. The pharmacist and her staff were always professional, courteous and compassionate. They went above and beyond to help my mom with the prior authorization when needed. They even sent her complementary cough drops knowing it is one of the regular items she had purchased previously. What made this pharmacy stood out from all the other pharmacies was the pharmacist Tina's attendance at my Mom's funeral. What a pleasant heartwarming surprise! She must have seen the obituary from the newspaper. I write this review as a sincere appreciation of all the help my mom had received from this Bascom Pharmacy. Tina, the pharmacist is truly special and compassionate. Please support small good neighbor pharmacies as the service is impeccable when you truly need personal assistance, listening ear, and a human side of healthcare providers. Thank you.
