A truly good neighbor in Santa Clara County. The service here is very nice I brought my mother here twice as her gastroenterologist has a direction affiliation with this place and it was the best decision I ever seen. People who work here are very professional. They explained how to drink that weir colonoscopy thingy to my mother with great clarity and quickly responded to her questions. Delivery is on time and there is no wait. If you are looking for other random stuff they got it too. Their store brand is a bit better than your retail versions. I also found some first aid doohickies and they work like a charm. Warning: Do not have your medication and other things mailed, it is not worth it. I usually don't write a yelp review unless my experience is very negative or very positive. Well, my experience with Bascom Pharmacy has always been very positive and even more so after my mother passed away. My mom was always a loyal patient/customer of Bascom Pharmacy as she would drive 7+ miles to this pharmacy to have her prescriptions filled. After a while, the pharmacy would send the maintenance prescriptions to my mom's house, unless my mom had an appointment close by and will go pick up the new prescriptions in person. The pharmacist and her staff were always professional, courteous and compassionate. They went above and beyond to help my mom with the prior authorization when needed. They even sent her complementary cough drops knowing it is one of the regular items she had purchased previously. What made this pharmacy stood out from all the other pharmacies was the pharmacist Tina's attendance at my Mom's funeral. What a pleasant heartwarming surprise! She must have seen the obituary from the newspaper. I write this review as a sincere appreciation of all the help my mom had received from this Bascom Pharmacy. Tina, the pharmacist is truly special and compassionate. I like getting my meds from Bascom Pharmacy- they're really nice to us. They fill our prescriptions fast. There are times when I order them, they look for coupons to see if I can get them lower than what they are. I didn't understand the coupons, until lately. They answer the phone right away- no music like other pharmacys. They put you on hold for tooooo long. I hang up, on these other pharmacies. I used to use another pharmacy. My Dr. happened to send a prescription to Bascom Pharmacy, by mistake. But we like it. I try to move my prescriptions to this pharmacy. I am happy that we can get our meds delivered to us and it's closer to home. They're truly a Good Neighbor Pharmacy. Awesome Team !! read more

I'm still in shock as I write this. In my whole life I've never seen a business act as rude to a potential first time customer. Ever. My doctor told me to try Bascom and directed his staff to fax in my prescriptions to this pharmacy. Calling to find out what the status was of my order I was barked at rudely by someone who apparently must think I am a dog. They started making a range of very vague and bizarre accusations, one of which was that I had tried to do business with them previously but had gone to another pharmacy instead. Actually the truth was that my doctor had accidentally once faxed my prescription once to them (apparently they do a lot of business with Bascom, and up until now always recommended them), but they mistakenly sent my scripts to Bascom instead of my usual pharmacy Express Scripts. Months later when visiting my doctor was when he told me about Bascom, and to give them a try. I feel that the staff do not want to help me because of the medications I receive. I feel like they are judgmental and they always yell when speaking to me, very unprofessional. Also they are always out of stock of the medication (or so they say) every month and it's very inconvenient. They keep me waiting for weeks to finally fill the prescription. It's also frustrating when I call in a refill for a prescription and go to pick it up only be waiting for over 30 min when it should have been ready...what's the point of calling it in? I also experience when I'm there ppl will come in after me will get their medication and be out the door before me, and have me wait for over an hour. ZERO stars. The language barrier here is insurmountable. I tried to bring my business here since my pharmacy of over 20 years recently closed, but the staff here can barely understand English. It was an exasperating experience trying to 1) Get my records transferred, and 2) Confirm that they had been received. I threw in the towel after trying once more to complete the transfer process, and receiving the response that "her prescription is ready for pickup." What? I had no choice but to give up and take my business elsewhere, since I needed a refill and was unable to lay the groundwork here in time. I contacted another nearby pharmacy with staff fluent in English and had everything handled within a couple of hours. Do not even attempt to deal with these people unless you speak their language. read more

Poor experience. They don't care about you or your time. I dropped off my prescription and waited for over 10 minutes while they walked around and ignored me. Then they told me to come back the next day. I call the next day, they said that it would be available the day after at 10AM. I show up and have to wait twenty minutes while they "check the prescription". Finally I got my medication. Yay. Also worth noting is that their English skills are mediocre at best. read more

I really like Tina and the staff. They call you when they have questions & know the best way to get a good price on meds. They are located less than five minutes from our house. I definitely do not recommend this pharmacy. I had a really bad experience with them. I used to get my medication mailed through them, but at one point they failed to deliver my medication and blamed it on USPS. This resulted in a weeks-long lapse in my treatment. When I asked for their help to resolve the issue, they refused to take responsibility for failing to deliver my meds, and I had to get my bank to intervene to get my copay refunded. At one point, the pharmacist insisted that they had been doing me favors because supposedly my insurance was "difficult to deal with" and the pharmacy was allegedly "keeping my copayments low." After switching to a different mail-in pharmacy upon the recommendation of my medical provider, somehow my copay was cut in half, and I started receiving my meds on time with insured mail, text notifications, tracking numbers, and utmost professionalism without any hiccups. I kept wondering why I stuck to Bascom Pharmacy for almost an entire year, and I just couldn't find a good answer. read more

Hands down best pharmacy in entire bay area. Pharmecist goes out of their way to ensure that i get the absolute best medicine at best prices. They even called pharmecuitcal company to get discount coupon to minimize my insurance deductible. The medicine which used to cost me 47$ in wallgreens/riteaid etc only costs 10$ here. Tina & Mini ensure that I get right medicine & then call back to ensure that there are no side effects. they even contacted my doctor & pointed to her about certain side effects of prescribled medicine & suggested alternative medicine which finally helped me recover.
