So disappointed with April the helper at the pharmacy department . Super rude treatment looking at me unfriendly when she was answering me a simple question regarding a prescription that i have . Please save your time . The wait time its absurd!!! She was in a hurry to clock out she exhausted mocking and telling other lady to attend me . I am writing this review to warn others that I got COVID twice coming to this location. I don't know if their air filtration system is broken, but after catching covid there in May (some sick person was picking up their Paxlovid in the pharmacy line in front of me and yes, I was wearing a mask) I was sooo hesitant to set foot in there again last Sunday. But against my best judgement, I went in with a friend who needed to pick up something. This time I wasn't wearing a mask. Sure enough, two days later, body aches, temperature headache. Oh no! CVS Pharmacy - Caught COVID twice at this CVS location - Drugstores Near Me - SAN JOSE, California

I've never been spoken to so rudely before. Martha, at the register was saying absolutely insane things about me and my brother. She blamed us for a shoplifter leaving the store. We were supposed to "stop and tackle" them. It's apparently "our job" to be on the lookout and stop thieves. She threw my change at me and that was it. Very, very odd and disrespectful interaction. Will avoid this location because of her. read more

I am sorry CVS...I really try to like you...but after twice getting medication from this places...and got the girls looking at me funny, one time sending me running to Target, and come back to them to get medication. Second time has some Viet girls, who was nice at first, but than starting to talk in Viet with me while I spoke casual English to her since there other people there speaking English.not sure was she tried to be nice to me, or what else is going on. One thing I have to be clear though, the pharmacy seems to not have enough workers, leading to other workers wanting to quit, or so what I have been told, and go back to school. The line was quite long...but they did try their best before and after lunch I think. Furthermore, they don't have Limisil cream in stock at all, cards also declined on purchases at counter, while working just fine at the pharmacy...really not sure what are the problems. However, needing to said the snack isle are stocked. They even have venison meat jerky. Never have venison meat before in my life so that was difference. They have a huge isle of nut thought. They probably don't need me to say give them a change to see how you like it before you decide that to yourself. But, it is definitely work to check the place out, especially everyone is trying to recovering from the pandemic. read more

I just met the rudest store manager at CVS ever! His name is Juan, an average-height Hispanic-looking young male. At first, he came to scold me and I mean SCOLD me for using the chair I pulled from 6 feet away to play scratchers. He said someone may need for vaccines. I told him I would be happy to give it back if anyone needed it. Nobody did. Second, he came to scold me for playing too long and told me to LEAVE because someone was waiting while I still had cash in the machine!!! Say what??? I would be happy to share if I knew someone was waiting and I did when I found out! His demeanor was as if he was managing a jail, not a CVS store! And "managing" was not even the right word, he was processing people and being as rude and short as he could be while doing it. This is absolutely not acceptable, especially from a store manager!!! None of what he said or did was necessary or helped anyone! read more

This location has the worst staff. Rude, unhelpful, outright hurtful. We have been there a few times especially when baby was sick and they were simply awful. Online it would say something is in stock and it is usually never there in store or not in right place. Staff are unhelpful and seem like high school kids who don't care and have no idea. Especially Martha , she is very helpful and has so much knowledge about Hallmark aisle and she helped me checked out . Unfortunately at the same time someone rob the store and was very rude to Martha . She tried her best to stop the robbers to no avail. She apologized to me! Hi everyone, Take your prescriptions anywhere else. I went to pick up a prescription that urgent care had called in, only to find that the pharmacy had closed the register early. So glad that my kid could be without his medication so that you all could knock off a few minutes early. read more

This pharmacy has really gone downhill in the last 3 months. They frequently ignore customers despite the 4-6 people working in the pharmacy. They fail to open the additional register when long lines develop. They frequently run out of important medications and fail to notify customers. Recently, I was told my antidepressants would take 3 days to come in -- only after I'd stood in line for 15 minutes expecting to pick them up. It's not great for someone to be off their meds for 3 days. Thankfully, I was able to call around and find a different CVS that had the medicine in stock. The worst part is that this used to be a phenomenal pharmacy, and some great people still work there. It just feels like the management and customer service fell off a cliff around the start of 2023. read more

Literally the worst pharmacy ever. The wait time is minimum 20 minutes no matter the time of day. Always 10 people in line. I left in tears last night because of the frustration. Always out of medications or an issue with the prescription. A few months ago I showed up to the pharmacy right at opening (8am) thinking I could beat the crowd lol. Joke was on me. The pharmacist showed up 40 minutes after opening due to "car issues". Meanwhile a line built up because the pharmacy couldn't open without her. I literally dread going in to get my medications every month because of the aggravation, lack of customer service, and wait times. It shouldn't be so difficult to get your medication! This pharmacy has gone downhill and I've been going here for years. I've just had enough, that's why I finally took the time to write this review. read more

I used to get great service at the pharmacy, but since October things have gone so downhill! My husband waited for 40 minutes in line for an antibiotic he urgently needs for an infection, only to reach the register and be told that the pharmacy closed 10 minutes earlier and there was nothing they could do until the next day. This is one frustrating story, but I could tell several more just like it from my own experience! Not to mention the stories I swap with other customers who are waiting horribly long waits to get medications they need. Avoid this store at all costs. This is my last visit here.... read more

There's 3 employees at the front desk talking with each other socializing, while there is a line at the cash register. The employee who is supposed to be handling customers at the cash register keeps leaving to get products at the aisle. And the other employees won't open up the other registers to help the customers. When I complained to Valerie, the manager, her only response was "I don't have 8 eyes." I have no idea what that means when she was barely lifting a finger to do her job and was gabbing with her co-worker. No wonder the place consistently has bad reviews. read more

I'm really disappointed in this pharmacy as it really has gone downhill in the last maybe 6-12 months. I have noticed several new faces behind the desk, so perhaps that's it, or some other reason, who knows. Customer service, outrageous wait times, and a general lack of empathy has been my experience the last several times I have gone in to pick up my family's medications. I see based on other recent reviews, that I'm not the only one. The pharmacy seems to be perennially understaffed. Waiting times to pick up meds can be 20-30 minutes. I was on the phone with CVS Caremark to try to transfer my prescriptions to mail delivery, and even the Caremark rep (and me) were on hold for over 60 minutes until someone hung up on us. Will definitely transfer any in-person prescriptions to another pharmacy. read more

If I could, i'd give it - stars: I've had to call them on several occasions to check on my prescription and the average wait time on the phone has been over an hour. If i know I need to talk to them, i schedule the call so I can sit on the phone waiting for them to answer. Sometimes, its just easier to go to the pharmacy and get my question answered than it is to wait on the phone. Everyone is busy, but if you aren't going to answer the phone, then why have a number? what a joke. read more

Last time I was there I was hearing an automated voice announcing "one pharmacy call" over and over and over again, and they weren't that busy, and yet no one would answer the phone. It made me think about how I'd tried to call in the past, and would be on hold for up to 20 minutes. But this morning was the last straw for me. Called in for a refill and the pharmacist (not the cashier, who is very nice) refused to fax my doctor because, and I quote, "we're too busy right now." Unless it is life or death, just do not go in here. There is one girl in the pharmacy that is AMAZING. The shelves are regularly empty and I have been told at least 3 times by employees that "corporate" doesn't want them to have more than 2 employees on the clock at any given time. Results: really shitty customer service and just about guaranteed you will not find at least 1/2 of the things you come in for. Today I had totally compressed time. I had to drop off some needles and medication. They have drop off boxes. So I get there and they are both locked. GREAT. Time pressures and one girl gets a bunch of keys and is "trying" them. I put the unused needles on top of the bin and tell her to put them in when she figures out the key. One of the pharmacists has opened the medication one so I put that stuff in. Then said pharmacist gives me this "oh no, you cannot just leave them there. I can't have that, I don't even know if we have a key. You cannot leave them." Not even a thought of "give them to me and I will put them in for you when we get our heads out of our asses." Unless you are dying, pass on this store. Because the store itself is dying. Lovely to pay exorbitant property taxes and in our own cute little area have a store that is so ill equipped to service it's customers. Shame on you all. read more

I was followed by the store manager Joshua and he took my cart "to hold behind the counter until I was ready to pay." if you want to buy more than a handful of items they will treat you like a criminal. When he took my cart I decided not to buy anymore items. I purchased what he took and I will never return to this store. There idea of "customer service" is atrocious to say the least. This is one of the strangest laid out stores I have ever seen and one of the few if only that uses a bell for service in the middle of the day. That being said, it's clean, the people are neutrally friendly and they usually have all the items I need, unlike the homeless looking CVS on Leigh. While in SF I used Walgreens very frequently due to their sales and coupon rewards and I've found CVS to be similar in their savings. I had no idea that if you scanned your card at the price checker your coupons would print for you in store, so that's definitely as aspect of this branch that I enjoy. All in all I'll continue coming back as while the service isn't 5 star, this store is definitely A-OK. read more

Pharmacy is out of control - Doctors that call In prescriptions are deleted from voicemail as they will not accept ph orders. Multiple prescriptions lost on numerous occasions. Reduced 90 day subscriptions to 30 days and blamed it on insurance company when it was their own fault. Phone wait times over 30 min. Only use CVS as a last resort read more

I wish I could give them five stars and if it was just for the actual pharmacy department I would... But the store has gone downhill a lot in recent months but the pharmacy is awesome. The pharmacist and the techs are all spectacular, Sure the lines can get long but that's just because they give great customer service. I appreciate the fact that they don't rush you through and they take the time to answer all your questions and . Caroline and Anne are careful and knowledgeable, as are all the amazing Tech's. I just wish they wouldn't have had so many new people recently because it seems like they've had a lot of staff changes in the past four or five months, but that is the nature of Silicon Valley. The store used to be great... I could go get all my sundries there and skip Target but about 9 months ago they stopped stocking the shelves. When they locked the street side door the manager said they would start stocking better because the "theft problem" would be taken care of.... well I'm still waiting... It took them three weeks to stock Arm & Hammer toothpaste... I complain to the manager on the regular basis because I will not move my prescriptions from the pharmacy, I've been going there for a long time they know my kids very complicated medical histories and I trust them, but for the most part I have to go elsewhere to buy my sundries because I can rarely get toothpaste, make up wipes, or even Q-tips there ... it's very sad and frustrating because they could have a lot of my money if they just would stock a shelf once in a while. Well just went in CVS in Willow Glen after walking through the Christmas decorations. They said we couldn't use the restroom. That it wasn't public. The guy was like, go to a restaurant. So was I supposed to buy something so it wouldn't be a public restroom anymore? I have been to other CVSs where this was not a problem. I Wish I could give this pharmacy a million stars!! They truly care!! When they're busy, they all still manage to smile. Retail is hard enough, I've heard people yell at them when I'm in line & they are professionals, they don't take it out on the next person. Please know that there are a lot of your customers that appreciate all your hard work!! Kudos to the whole staff!!! I'm not sure how effective masks are against covid-19 but I'd feel better if they ensured workers and customers have masks on here. Some workers w mask off nose. Some pulling down to talk. Some customers just no mask. I saw the manager kick someone out for having no mask but I think the other employees aren't up for dealing with that. read more
