The Cafe on a regular basis is not set up. It opens at 6:00am. Today I was asked to move at 7:00am because he wanted to wipe my table. I said it is clean. He said I had to move. He furthermore said that I had to have purchased Starbucks food to sit there. This is not true. Therefore Safeway you get a 1. Perfectly good drug store and pharmacy with everything you would expect. I took one of my in laws here to get a flu shot since here (like everywhere else), it says "free flu shots." As it turns out you need to have US health insurance (he didn't), but we felt we needed the shot so we paid the USD120 or so for the shot. read more

Don't even bother going for a simple appointment to get vaccines. I made the appointment online and checked in using the QR code at the line entrance. My appointment was for 11:10am. I checked in pretty early before the appointment, but did not get called up for the appointment. I asked the cashier at the pharmacy when I was going to be seen because my appointment time has passed. It wasn't until 11:35am I was helped and I just cancelled the appointment because I was at that point I was running late to work. What is the point of making an appointment if they're not going to acknowledge it? read more

The staff were nice but very slow to assist. Hit the customer service button twice for help with a locked item and twice they cleared the button call but never came. Also there's only 2 people working the entire store side right now and I only seen 1 of them running around doing everything. I use Walgreens for their photo department. Quick, reliable printing service and many fun photo gift options. I have used this store, in particular, for years. After ordering some prints online today, they were ready in a matter of minutes. When I arrived, the staff member in the photo department was on the phone in the back (his cell / a personal call). He asked me to wait just a minute. I said ok. After what I considered too long to wrap up a personal call, he came to the register, found my order, and processed it---still chatting away on the phone. I paid and left, and he was STILL on the phone. This is rude and unacceptable behavior. I discovered the manager was not at the store. Although I would hope for better from adults, some people have to be physically supervised to do the right thing. read more

My aunt has had multiple amputations due to being diabetic, it's hard for her to get from the living room to her bedroom let alone into the car then all the way to the back of a store to the pharmacy and back. If you think you're helping by not selling them, you're not, you're only hurting, why do you think you're the only store that has that policy?! I wouldn't bitch so much if I didn't spend $15 to Uber here just to have to spend another $10 to get to the next Walgreens and $18 to get back home (since Uber only waits 5 min at any stop), when I would have only had to spend the first 15 round trip. I was prescribed "medication" antimicrobial cream for pimples on skin. First message was my insurance is not paying it is about $88.00. Second message was it is OK to pick up $47.00 from out of my pocket. I got it. It was a small bottle... I check on internet without any insurance I could get it for $20.00 with free shipping... It's been a long time since I have been here and now I remember why. Had a prescription sent in, went to pick it up and they were closed. No big deal, I understand. What I don't understand is the horrible attitude by the woman at the pharmacy when I tried to ask a question. I just needed to know where the nearest Walgreens was for the pharmacy. Her response was rude and short ( mind you, I have been understanding and non rude) She dismissed me by telling me she was too busy to be bothered. I made an appointment on the website for a flu shot at 5 pm. I filled out few pages of forms on line and showed up for the appointment. When I told them I was for the flu vaccine, they told me they don't do vaccinations after 4 pm as they're short staffed. When I asked why they accept appointments on the web past 4, they said I need to take that up with corporate and they didn't even apologize. My wife and kids went to get passport pictures. This older guy with heavy accent was so mad because the electronic pictures he was taking were not proper enough for passport. Eyes closed, kids moving. All in all he toke 3-4 takes per child. He then told my wife this is the last one. There was no one behind us, these are for passports, they wont change for another 6 years and this guy is mad because he has to do his job. Man, what is going on with customer service? How is this guy in customer service if he hates customers. Its not like he is printing photos. Either teach him how to serve or fire him. I will contact the branch manager. Enough is enough. Absolutely horrid photo department! I was out of town on a family emergency so couldn't order my cards till a few days ago. I need them done ASAP since some of them are going in packages to out of the country. Their estimated time said they would be done in a few hours. Great! I decided not to even try the other places. I came late in the evening to pick them up (did not wait to get a notice they were ready because half the time they don't send those). They said they weren't done, and not to bother them again, they will call me. Next day in the afternoon I get an email saying my order is ready for pickup. I give them a few more hours and go there. I had to wait 20 minutes since the employee was chatting with the customer in front of me and dealing with her customer complaints. She had to look at every card to make sure it was trimmed correctly. Then it was my turn. First he had trouble finding it, then showed them to me and said it still needs to be cut and they don't have a machine for that - they will hopefully get it tomorrow. But, I asked, the email said I can come and pick it up, to which is coldly replied, that message really only meant they had printed. Then I asked why he was able to trim the other lady's cards he simply replied "that was different", don't come back until we call you. If you are considering using them for your cards *STOP* and go somewhere else! read more

I came for curbside pickup. All the curbside pickup spaces were taken by walk-in customers who were unable to find parking anywhere else. One person even parked in a handicap space without a placard. I found one spot nearby, checked in on the Walgreens app, entered in my car description, and called the store to let them know exactly where I was parked (unlike Safeway, the Walgreens app lacks a place to describe what other spot you've parked in). After calling the store twice, and both times the Indian lady kept asking for my car description, and insisting that I park in the curbside spaces, which I explained were all taken by walk-in customers, however I was sure to describe the spot I was parked in - I saw an Indian man come out and look like he was looking for something, yet he never walked over to my spot, and I was unsure whether he worked at the store since all I could see was his head over the other parked cars. After about a minute that man walked back inside. My 3rd time calling, I talked with a Vietnamese lady, who could finally help me. She came out herself, walked directly to the spot I had described, found me there, and seamlessly dropped off the bag. I don't recommend coming to this Walgreens. Given the horrible experience I had, and the fact that there was only one person I talked to who cared enough to actually deliver the items, I hope people will be enlightened as to the sort of experience they'll likely receive here. read more

Just walked in not too long ago to get hairspray and as I'm heading out to the checkout line there is more than 10 people in line and one cashier open. Very unhelpful staff. I purchased three photo cubes from their photo center and they came back with grainy photo quality and the edges were misaligned, like it was glued together very sloppy! Their online customer service said they would provide a refund, but it had to be in store. When I went back to this store to get a refund, I waited several minutes at the counter while the staff finished complaining to each other about their working hours until they noticed customers waiting for them. Then they proceeded to tell me I could not get a refund. Terrible experience and don't recommend their photo products. Poor quality and service! read more

LOL. I had to come to Walgreens because for some reason this was the closest & nearest pharmacy after I had a dr appt. I had to pick up some shampoo as well so I figured why not. It was convenient but sort of empty. There wasn't as good of a selection of brands as you would have thought, and they were missing quite a bit of stock of certain standard things that I usually find in Walgreens or CVS near me such as variations of Dove shampoo / conditioner. I come here today to pick up my pictures being developed at 82 prints for $9.84. Normally it's $0.20 per print, but with a 40% off coupon only for internet orders, I get them for about $0.12 per print, cheaper than Costco, and without the Disneyland lines! Milk is also comparable to Costco, at about $3.69 a gallon, a bit more than Costco's $6.69 for two gallons. I check the Sunday papers - yes some of us still subscribe to newspapers, at $1.50 a day -for sales on goodies. 8 ounces of cashews for $3 -got to get the unsalted kind, and beat the Sunday morning crowds for this and eggs.. Today checking the aisles, I see 3.5 ounce Cadbury chocolates for $1 apiece -I grab 4 of them, as both the wife and I are chocolate addicts -waistline be damned! The wife usually gets all these creams and facial preparations. She has to come with me, as I know nothing about such stuff, only that she uses it religiously,. She's fighting a losing battle trying to keep her skin looking younger than mine! I get two six packs of heavy duty toilet paper, with a buy one at $3.79, get a second at half off, or about $0.44 a roll. Yeah, I know you can get a four roll pack for a buck at the Dollar store three blocks down El Camino Real, but those rolls are about 50% less in diameter than these heavy duty types. I'm paying by credit card and my Walgreen's points card at the photo development counter, during our big storm in the Bay Area. The staff behind the counter gives me a smile, rings up my purchase, and as I'm leaving, says thanks, and 'stay dry'. I smile back, glance at the flip flops on the lady behind me, and say 'I'll stay dry, but not this lady's painted toenails'! The lady gives me a sheepish grin, and admits dressing in too much a hurry to run errands. She's smiling, clearly enjoying that I'm standing with my tongue hanging out, oogling her bright red toenails! No wonder she wore open toed sandals on a rainy day! One of those stores which repeatedly offer photo prints for free. I have seen that offer almost every other week and be able to get prints from them. Besides, their pharmacy is also quite convenient to pick from. The store has multiple offers going on for various items, so would definitely recommend giving it a try. The food items/make-up section usually has discounts going on. Detergents also are sold at a reasonable discount. read more

This is the worst damn Walgreens there is. I really wish I knew a phone number to call to report all the shit they do when customers are shopping in store. I was told today that they close 20 min earlier than it says online (20 min). I was trying to find some stuff for my child and some manager I've never seen (I come pretty often) comes and tells me I got 5 mins because they're about to close. I told him this store closes at 10, and he says "yeah today we'll be closing earlier". Yesterday, some asian cashier by the name FE, (Older short woman with short hair) was racist towards someone not being able to speak english. He has asked them if they spoke spanish and no one did so I stepped in and asked what he needed since I speak spanish. He told me he needed a receipt for two items that he had purchased and didn't know whatever deliverinh job he was doing was going to ask for a receipt on the app. The asian older lady instantly screamed "I HANDED HIM A RECEIPT ALREADY" and proceeded to say "He doesn't even speak english" in a broken accent.. How Ironic. Manager came and said "she told me she gave him a receipt" and I asked if she can just print another one instead of being so fucking dramatic. and told him to wait 10 minutes for it. Worst experience @ Walgreens store located at 105 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA. The customer representative was very rude and couldn't understand the coupon system. To my surprise even the manager was really horrible. Both the ladies were racist and asked us to leave the store and go to other store, this is really intolerable. Came in here for photos to print, and to get a pregnancy test for my girlfriend. While waiting for the photos I was looking at the toys. One of the workers walked by and was glaring at me in a harrassing way (like I was trying to steal something) and shortly after I hear the button for security to walk the floor. I am disappointed because today I decided to dress really preppy and they treated me like a Kleptomaniac. Come on now! Also no security came out. The lady helping us with the pictures was nice though. :) Props to her for working with people who are impulsive on the security button.
