Bad and almost scary vibes from the older Asian guy cashier. Don't know if he was just tired but he stared at us when we were in line. I kind of smiled back, but he looked like Resident Evil angry so I just looked away. Then when our turn came, he started to toss our items one by one. Trader Joe's workers usually has small talk, but this guy said nothing. Not sure if I pissed him off, but my wife mentioned how the worker was staring at her so I wasn't the only one that felt uncomfortable. Other than that, it's the usual great Trader Joe's. my go to store for buying flowers beside farmer's market or whole foods. they have nice selection of varieties of flowers. they even have small banquet . also checkout the frozen section and organics vegetables and fruits. price is more competitive than the whole foods. read more

I probably shop here 3 or 4 times a month. I loved my trader joes in Irvine and all the team members were so personable and friendly - even made a few friend for how often I went. Here it kinda feels like a get what you need, wait, pay, then leave. Which is COMPLETELY fine because um, HELLO? Pandemic, social distance, masks! Sometimes there's a wait on weekends during this stay at home order so lately I try to go 2x a month and get all the groceries I need 2 weeks at a time. They have a pretty decent selections and the team members are knowledgeable. There was a time I asked for Eucalyptus, and they said they'd order some more and to come again next week. And when I came they were sold our again, haha. It happens, very popular to put Eucalyptus on top of shower heads in the June-ish Tiktok phase. Another time I asked if they had french fry chips in stock and they said they thought they did, but turned out it was discontinued after asking someone else. And another time this worker went above and beyond to find me some fettucine as I was just not able to find it for some reason! Random memories and experiences, most positive! Had a handful of items and this girl said we are not allowed to take the cart outside after checking out. Which was never heard of shopping at other locations. Walked outside literally saw two people pushing carts to their cars. One even helped me open my car door. read more

Trader Joe's is basically TJ ,right ? But this one I have to say typically always find what I'm looking for even with the supply chain issue Store is very clean and like is their trademark ,the staff is super friendly and just seem so happy all the time. Produce area well stocked although it did seem some of the items little less the normal standard quality , but I expect this is due to delivery issues , so can't ding them Only reason this store does not get 5 star is it is a smaller one , so some stuff you might not find. And if you go during peek hours the parking is not the greatest as it shares shopping are with other name brand store that attract traffic Otherwise give it a try read more

Today I attended a funeral of an elder who was like a mother to me. I went to This Trader Joe before the burial, wanting to buy a bouquet of flower, but don't know where to start. The lady from customer service was very nice and kind, she not only offer to help me with my flower bouquet (not a standard service), she ended up gifting this flower bouquet to me. I am grateful to receive such kind gesture during a time like this, and I am sorry for not catching the nice lady's name. I was bathed in my own emotion and I could barely think of anything else. Thank you so much for your help. The bouquet of flower looked very pretty and I will never forget what you did for me today. read more

What a gem of a store. There is always a line to enter, but it always moves quickly. Staff are super friendly and always hustling. Every time I have asked if they have a salad that is out, they go in the back and bring me one from the stock! The staff remember me and ask about my family. Stop at the new items section at the end of the aisle which I like to call the "IPO section" and try out new offerings. Parking is tough, but not impossible. read more

Walked into your store at about 8:50PM this past Tuesday evening, April 25, 2023. I only had a few things to pick up (like 10 items). Another woman and I were the only ones left in the store. At about 8:55, two of the female workers there walked up to me as I was rushing to get out of the store telling me you were about to close. I said that I realized that and was on my way to the checkout. When the second one came up to me only a minute later, I said I was leaving and she said, "We want to go home too!" in a defiant, loud manner. I was appalled. With all that said, I just chalked it up to how difficult it must be to hire good help. If management is even remotely keeping an eye out for feedback, I hope this review is helpful. read more

I received terrible customer service from Amanda M. She was rude and extremely unprofessional which I don't think Trader Joe's is looking for in a crew member. I went in with a smile and left with a frown. Pretty much every member of the TJ's crew is kind, polite and ready to help. Today Amanda M. was really ill tempered, curt with her replies and, in my opinion, just a horrible example of customer service. read more

I like viewing all the creative dishes: Trader Joes's does the work, great for working people or for those who want to relax. And at great prices. Potato pancakes, waffles, toaster waffles, cinnamon toast, bananas, TJ's Sauvignon blanc, wild mushroom ravioli, roasted tomato linguine, raspberry and blueberry jellies and TJ's vanilla ice cream are my favorites. I love TJ for so many reasons and this one is 6 minute run, or 12 minute walk from my home. I just love the collection of succulents , orchids , herb plants,daffodils and many more seasonal flowers here. Great place to find variety of plants to make your home/garden colorful. Atlantic salmon, TJ chicken thighs and TJ brand milk is my goto purchase. $3.69 for a gallon of Trader Joe's brand milk, compared to $5.49 at Sprouts. 26 ounce jar of Trader Joe's brand marinara sauce for $1.79. Dozen large eggs for $2.49. You can't beat these prices, unless you drive to Costco 5 miles away, where there is a 1 hour wait just to walk in the entrance. Go past the produce section. Large navel oranges 69 cents apiece, 3 pound bag of medium-small size Cara Cara oranges for $3.49, 4 lb bag of organic navel medium-small oranges for $4.99, and blueberries $6.99 for 18 ounces. Produce prices generally more expensive here than at Sprouts, when getting comparable sized items, the exceptions being bananas 19 cents each or 44 cents a pound here, and 59 cents a pound at Sprouts, and iceberg lettuce $1.29 a head here, and $1.99 or $2.99 a head at Sprouts. Demand is so great that Sprouts has discontinued its weekly flyers. I love that there are prepared foods that are seasonably priced and a good variety, for brining lunch to work. My favorites are BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA, Veg pulav, Butter chicken meal. These are must try. It's kinda dangerous to come here when I am hungry, so I make a point not to shop on an empty stomach, as I will tend to buy more. read more

This is my neighborhood TJs location, but I'd drive further to go to it even if it wasn't. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they're doing an excellent job practicing social distancing guidelines. They allow seniors and people who have disabilities inside during the first hour daily, and also have a separate line for them for queuing. The staff are always bustling to keep shelves stocked, and they'll stop what they are doing to help a customer find an item. read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's store in the Bay Area. I don't have a whole lot of basis for comparison because I've only been to two other stores. The Campbell store always has horribly long lines, especially during Covid. The Palo Alto store never has the salads or the coconut juice that I'm looking for (the students at Stanford probably get them before I get there). I come here because I know that I'm going to get in and out quickly AND everything that I need will be available in the store. read more

**YES!! A TRADER JOE'S IN LOS ALTOS** Be prepared for defensive driving before entering this parking lot. Imagine elderly people. Lots of them. And my people. Lots of them. Pros: Good produce. Good wine selection. Friendly staff. Good floral selection. Cons: Crowded (especially after work and weekends) Limited sauces selection. The pros definitely outweighed the cons for me. So happy and thrilled that there's a TJ's in my hood. RECOMMEND for those who appreciate good and healthy foods without the Whole Paycheck prices! read more

Bottom line at the top: employees are quite rude, and the other staff members (in a different uniform but still designated as TJ's) who unpack the boxes and restock are even worse. Do yourself a favor and go to the one on Bollinger. -- Avoid this location! The employees here are SO unhelpful, and when you are checking out, no matter what time of day, they all have such an attitude and seem so miserable. What is up with that? This is a store with a cheeky sense of humor that offers yummy snacks, not in a prison?! :/ The staff members who unpack the boxes/restock are even worse. Several of them kept bumping into me from behind and didn't even bother to say excuse me beforehand or apologize afterwards. I know they are working really hard and lifting heavy stuff but I'm not quite sure how that warrants bumping into customers? The parking lot is way too small and there are collisions all too often. AVOID! read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's. It never has construction inside like the Westgate Shopping Mall one and always has everything in stock every time I come here. They have a large selection for people who eat in front of their computers at work for lunch most of the week working like me! Baby spinach (one bag for five salads) = $1.99 (versus a whole box that I have to buy at Safeway for $4.99) White mushrooms (enough for five salads) = $1.69 (versus $2.29+ at Safeway or Lucky's) Their fat free crumbled feta and their cranberry and Gorgonzola pink salad dressing is the best (in the refrigerated section). Their grapes are pretty big and yummy and they have the best dried fruit assortment. The sweet potato chips are pretty good and the dark choco edamame beans aren't bad either. I usually get my blackberries and blueberries next door, but if they are closed, Trader Joe's has them for $2.49 or $2.99. Which is better than $4.99 for the small square pack for the organic ones at Safeway. I don't like their yogurt too much so I have to go to Safeway for the Organic O yogurt. Trader Joe's granola is ok. There is always parking here if you are willing to walk 30 seconds. Don't let the other reviews scare you into not coming to this well-stocked store! All the cashiers are really friendly too! AND if you bring your own bag as opposed to using the paper/plastic, they give you a raffle ticket for a weekly drawing for a $25 trader joe's giftcard. =D read more

I stop by here often on my way to and from work. There is plenty of parking in the plaza, but it is usually really busy so it may be frustrating to try to find parking. Otherwise it's your typical Trader Joe's and I haven't had a bad experience here, yet! It's so fun to go shopping at Trader Joe's because you never know when you might come upon a new product that is awesome. read more

This is where I do a majority of my grocery shopping. I eat mostly vegetarian and there are so many ready made options, especially in the freezer aisle. The produce selection is not the greatest and the parking lot can be an absolute zoo! Try and avoid going on Sunday afternoons / evenings - I find that to be the busiest time and check out lines to be 10 - 15 min long. Other than that, love going here! Great prices and selection :) read more

Perfect location for when I need a quick lunch pick up. I'm a fan of it all! :) I like to go in the morning when they open to avoid the afternoon crowd that take over the parking lot. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Parking lot can be tricky...it's shared with Rite-Aid and several small shops. If your not afraid to walk, park further out to avoid the traffic jam that always takes place in front of this location. read more

Used to like this store more. Some oddball cashiers. Alot of the staff is pretty solid though so its all good. They do a good job. The food is dinky. Trader joes is a fun store to go to but i would say alot of their food is C grade. Had the strawberry lemonade and tasted awful. The produce is the worst part of this trader joes. Oh also the parking lot sucks and they have some gypsy scam family there all the time, the fake dad plays an accordion. Odd acivity for a (fake) family to go set up camp in a parking lot harassing customers while playing a stupid instrument like the accordion. read more

We got a tub of lemon custard and it was not icy at all. It was very smooth and creamy, just like getting scoops at the Marianne's shops in Santa Cruz.

Their prices have always been reasonable, and while there were occasional quality issues, they were easy to overlook. However, I've recently stopped shopping here as often due to a serious decline in the freshness of their produce. It's become common to see pallets of berries and other items that are completely moldy or rotten. Even if these items are discounted, selling produce in this condition is a health risk and shouldn't be allowed. I'm leaving this one-star review to get management's attention, please stop putting moldy products out for customers. I am more than willing to update this review and return as a regular customer once I see a consistent improvement in quality

I had a very frustrating experience at this Safeway due to an expired "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" tag that was still on the shelf today. I mistakenly thought it was "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" and brought only two items to the self-checkout. After paying, I noticed I was charged for both. I went back to the shelf with a staff member and discovered it was actually "Buy 2 Get 1 Free". Even though I had already paid for two items at full price (which should entitle me to the 3rd free item per the posted sign), the staff member argued for a good 5 minutes that they couldn't give me the 3rd item because it wasn't scanned and the tag was old (the promotion expired nearly 3 weeks ago). I had to insist that it is the store's responsibility to honor the price they choose to display (Google "California Business and Professions Code § 12024.2"). Finally, a manager-level staff member stepped in and gave me the 3rd item. Check your receipts and the dates on tags! The pricing management and initial customer service at this location are very poor.

Nijiya offers a fantastic selection of prepared sashimi, rolls, nigiri, and bento boxes. Be sure to get there early though because they do run out of items later in the day. They even have a small dining area with microwave for you to eat at if you'd like. I like that Nijiya is clean, and while the parking can be a little sparse at times, it's generally quite easy to find a spot as long as you're willing to walk a bit. If you haven't been, it's worth a visit to Nijiya.

Ive been going to different trader joes for 24 years, specifically because of their wine and Finlaggen Islay Scotch. 1st issue happened a few months ago: I had rushed into trader Joe's to grab a couple of bottles and when I went to pay, my card didn't go through. They attempted to run it "2 times" and it still didn't work. So, when I left, I called my bank because I knew I had at least a thousand on that card; the funds were still in there and the banker didn't show any attempts on my card from Trader Joe's! I was almost late for work and let it go in the moment. Then today, the second thing happened. Back story: My licensed expired on my 45th bday in January. I immediately renewed it but didnt get a physical one yet. As of March 28th my temporary license expired, sonI went back to DMV today and got another temporary licensed. Today I decided to go to Trader joes to grab a bottle and without looking at my paperwork, the lady says that their policy won't allow for them to accept my temporary licence! Since when? Because I've never a had a problem before, just at this specific trader joes. As much as I've sung Trader Joe's praises over the years especially to young people trying to get into the wine game but don't have the budget to buy expensive bottles of wine for education purposes, it's annoying that I even have to write this. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK HERE.
