Shame on me for not realizing this place existed. I love…read morethe variety of asian markets in the South Bay, my usual is mitsuwa but after seeing this on Yelp we decided to give it a visit. The pictures I've seen didn't do this place justice, it was way bigger then I expected, it reminds me of hmart but there was no crazy crowds as a hmart can have so we were able to leisurely shop without having to navigate oncoming cart traffic thought the aisles. We stocked up on various snacks and there was a huge amount of grab and go foods. We were heading for dinner after so I didn't get to try what I wanted but there is next time because the bossom looked delicious. We got a bunch of the Dubai cookie mochi things, an other baked goods, some chicken wings and japchae. The prices I feel are really good. I'm not sure if it'll replace my trips to mitsuwa entirely but I really can't wait for the next time we are in that area to visit again

I would consider Mega Mart a smaller yet more affordable version of H-Mart…read more The produce section was well maintained, though the fruit selection felt somewhat limited. The vegetables looked fresh, vibrant, and were packaged neatly. However, I did notice there were fewer juice and smoothie options than expected. Similarly, the meat and seafood sections were on the smaller side. There were standard cuts of beef and pork alongside a few marinated options, though less commonly used cuts were noticeably absent. There were reasonably priced salmon and tuna blocks available, but the selection of other fish and crustaceans was limited. That said, the seafood on display looked fresh, fatty, and high quality. There was a wide assortment of Asian frozen products and prices were noticeably a few dollars cheaper compared to other grocery stores nearby. As a dumpling and dim sum lover, I found myself gravitating toward the frozen section for quite some time. While most brands leaned Korean, there were still a variety of different Asian cuisines represented. There was also a bakery built into the store and the cakes looked beautiful. Most whole cakes were priced around $40. Unfortunately, the fried pastries were unavailable during my visit so I was unable to try the croquettes. The packaged baked goods also were not fully stocked despite my morning visit, which was one area that could be improved. I did enjoy the roasted sweet potato station though, which gave this corner of the store a warm and inviting smell. The prepackaged meal section was easily the most impressive part of the store. Dumplings, noodle dishes, and rice bowls were mostly priced under $10 and were generously packed with proteins and toppings. The banchan selection leaned heavily vegetable based, though I would love to see more seasoned protein options in the future. There was also a fried chicken station where customers could order individual pieces. The kimchi dumplings were plump and generously filled. The japchae was simple but satisfying, though I would not have minded a heavier hand with the sesame oil. The sushi was neatly prepared and the quality honestly felt comparable to what I would expect at a restaurant. Overall, this is a great market although I would not consider it a true one stop shop. I would likely pair this visit with another grocery store for a wider fruit and protein selection. However, this will absolutely become one of my preferred stops whenever I want convenient and affordable ready made meals.

They had the usual array of nonstick pots, which don't work very well for me. They had a small but useful section for clay pots. I thought Amazon and AliExpress had overpriced clay pots, but I was wrong. These prices were significantly higher. I can only hope these are the best of the best. Checking up on 99 Ranch, I couldn't even find clay pots in there more limited kitchen utensil section. I ran across one item where knockoffs are ubiquitous. They've completely flooded AliExpress and you have to watch it with Amazon. Hankook had the authentic item and at significantly lower price than both Amazon and Aldi express. I found a tea section to be well stocked. I also recognize some of the tea brands. 99 Ranch has gone with lower cost options, but if you buy 6 ounces of tea, are you gonna be stuck with an enormous supply. Better to go with reliable brands that I have enjoyed in the past. I loved the produce section. It was nice and fresh. It also had wider selection of produce than other supermarkets. The store itself is stunning. The the aisles are spacious. The store is meticulously clean. The shelves are fully stocked. There were only about two items which were shopped out. The snack area and the frozen foods were even more interesting. It's obvious in those two sections that there were many more Korean brands. I should've tried some, but it's hard for me to resist snacks and there was a good chance that would finish the entire bag in one go. Better to skip it entirely. The parking lot for the supermarket is spacious. I had no trouble finding a spot even though I arrived in the late afternoon when everybody has gotten off work. I live about two hours away. And I am very jealous because there is no Hankook near me.

We have purchased a wok from here, twice, and they were reasonably priced (around $35 if I recall), and we got a spare lid for a reasonable price as well. They always have inexpensive produce, lots of fresh stuff. I got a bag of bok choy for $2. I think if you are looking for Asian produce, a great place to shop. They also have a lot of prepared foods, snack foods, etc. Everything is reasonably priced. They do have a large enough parking lot, and usually we park on the side to avoid the chaos.

The store was clean, fully stocked, and the employees were friendly and helpful. Prices matched those at other Walmart locations. Sometimes the things in life that you travel far & wide to find is merely next to you. I swear,…read moreit's been years since I drive to a Walmart store to buy something, the full Walmart store is about 8-10 miles drive away, so it's never the first option I'd opt for when shopping. It was on a recent accidental trip that I found myself at this Santa Clara Walmart Neighborhood Market. It essentially is a larger size version of your typical supermarkets like Safeway or Lucky, except it's a lot more spacious & carry more grocery options. Due to its warehouse-like operation, the prices are slightly more affordable in general than those aforementioned stores; especially when things go on sales. For example, I scored a dozen maple glazed donuts for $4.69 (normally, $6.99, Dunkin or Krispy would have been more than $15. And if you take the time to look through each aisle, you may notice that they have some red stickers with significant markdowns, for example, a 10oz brown gravy mix normally $0.99-$1.39 elsewhere, it was $0.32, I got a whole bunch, it's perfect for my Canadian soul food - le Poutine, it works really well! And yes, the staff can be a hit or miss, depending on who you ask, but in general, they are pretty helpful, I never had problems. If there's a minor complaint, it's that you need the physical credit card to self-checkout, no GooglePay or Apple pay, etc, that's kind of pain in the you-know-where, but when I get my groceries with low prices, I'm really OK! In summary, it's been such a long time, I completely forgot that there's this Walmart Neighborhood Market within 2 miles of where I live. With dollar stores no longer offer DOLLAR items, some raised to $1.25, $3 - $5 in certain freezer items. it makes more sense to just drive here where they offer more choices at equal or better prices.
