Customer Service is horrible because of pharmacist LINGU. I Was very frustrating. ,went in after receiving a text message saying i my prescription is ready to be told by another worker who was very nice that it would be ready in 30 minutes. Came , LINGU was frantically looking for my medication then said we are out, I did get frustrated, but she started speaking very loudly, telling me not to give her attitude, she then continue to yell at me telling me not to give her junk. The techs and the pharmacists I've interacted with have all been very kind and helpful. When I didn't get a text notification for a script, it ended up getting returned since I didn't pick it up on time. It was for a 90 day supply and when I found out they only had enough for 30 days. The pharmacist was so nice and helped come up with a solution so I could at least get 30 days in the meantime. Please be kind to your pharmacists and techs. They are overworked. Majority of issues you'll have are going to be with insurance, which isn't their fault. Do your best to be kind and patient. I have never had an unpleasant experience with the people working here, they have helped me the best they could when it came to insurance bs and gave me great info and tips. Also keep in mind they need a break too! They break for lunch so keep that in mind. Calling is annoying, but again, not their fault, it's more CVS's automated system that's annoying. read more

Scheduled a Covid shot, got a confirmation, but when I showed up at the store the Pharmacist (a lady) told me that I don't have an appointment. I showed her my appointment, then she said I'm not eligible for a shot, I showed her my Covid vaccination records and she said I may have made a mistake and need to make another appointment and come back other day. When I asked if that can be fixed in the system she said they don't have enough vaccines. Which one is the reason? Why she kept making up an excuse? Horrible!!! What a waste if time. She even accused me that I probably have got another shot somewhere? Wow, this is the worst Pharmacist I have dealt with. Stay away. I should have given zero star if possible. read more

Been going here both before and after the recent Aug 2021-Feb 2022 store closure. They're very conveniently located in Target which is very close to me so I can easily walk over and stop in to the pharmacy while I do other shopping but that's about it for positives. Even when they have your meds in stock and everything's good with insurance etc. to fill the prescription they've always been on the slow side compared to other pharmacies and usually don't have it ready (or at least don't notify anyone that their prescription is ready) until the evening of the filling day. This means they get mobbed later in the day and you're lucky if you get through the line within an hour. I've called ahead multiple times before getting my prescriptions refilled to make sure everything went through and have been assured by the pharmacy staff that my prescriptions would be ready on the day they're supposed to be. Every single time they've been at least a day or two late. The most recent time I called several days early to make sure I could pick up my prescription on time they told me they were running low on the medication I needed but assured me they'd order more and have it back in stock a day after my refill date. No biggie, I get there's supply chain issues due to COVID. I have enough overlap with my prescription to make sure a slight delay in getting it filled isn't a problem. I called the morning of when they said it'd come in only to find out that the pharmacist had never put the order in because the copay "looked too expensive" to them and they just assumed I wouldn't want the meds because of that. They didn't even bother to give me a call and confirm. Totally unacceptable! It's the pharmacy's job to take care of that stuff and take the initiative to coordinate with patients when issues arise like that. I finally find out that it'll take them at least another two days to get the meds in. By now I only have one more day left so I guess I'll have to do without, luckily it's not life-threatening. This was the final straw. I'll go back to using either the Lucky on Mathilda and Maude or the Walgreens on S. Sunnyvale and El Camino instead even though they're both significantly more out of the way since at least they actually fill your prescription. read more

The pharmacist I talked to needs more people skills. Literally looks as if her parents forced her to get a day job at cvs. She had me wait a while but with barely any communication during this time. On a less emotional note, the wait time to get Covid tests through my insurance was unreasonably long, especially given there were barely any other customers (+25 minutes or paperwork for some reason). I would try to avoid this place in the future. There have been better CVS I've been to in the past. read more

My parents' primary doctor Andrew Lin called my parents that CVS Pharmacy (usually get medication there) located in Target (298 W McKinley Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94086) is not going to provide Covid medicine to my mother on 3/2/2023, the reason is I yelled Ms. Kim Bui. I don't think I yelled her, just told her that she should contact doctor when she thought the prescription incorrect, not to contact me logically. My mother, 88 years old with high fever, did not get Covid Madicine immediately until end of day in different store, 24 hours delay. Is it legally to not provide/reject covid medicine to a patien who is surfing with Coronavirus disease ? My mother got Covid test positive on 3/1/2023 around 6PM, I setup the appointment with Dr. Justin Houman from Sesamecare.com (telephone treatment). Dr. Justin sent medication to CVS located in 1165 W El Camino real, Sunnyvale, CA, I was told no inventory by the pharmacy until next week (unbelievable no regular medicine in such a big pharmacy?). So I called Dr. Justin around 9pm on 3/1/23 to send medication to Walgreens. 3/2/23 morning, my sister went to Walgreen that told her to go to CVS to get medication, because of insurance not covered. My sister went to CVS located at 576 E EL Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA, only got my father's Covid medicine, but not my mother's one, because it is on hold until 3/5/23 (I ask her what is meaning of on hold, Ms. Quynh said, someone has already claimed it). I told Quynh my mother is first time got Covid, I don't think anyone claim this medicine, she said she is busy, ask us to go back around 11:00am. I called Aetna insurance for help. Insurance representative told me that CVS rejected the Covid medicine, because CVS don't accept telephone visit/treatment. With no choice, I called my mother's doctor Andrew Lin to prescript Covid medicine (telephone treatment) via CVS in target and got rejected due to some unbelievable reason (in the first paragraph). I have three questions to Ms. Quynh: 1, Covid patient should be isolated with others normally, why CVS rejected telephone treatment prescription and wants Covid patient to see doctor physically? 2, Actually Dr. Lin is also doing telephone treatment/visit, what is the different between primary /local doctor and online doctor? 3, Why CVS provide medication to my father, not my mother? The both prescriptions are from online authorized doctor. My mother, 88 years old with high fever, did not get Covid Madicine until 6pm 3/2/2023, 24 hours delay. This just launched as a CVS pharmacy here inside Target. I didn't care what it was called...I needed help!! Although the staff here (generally speaking from past experiences) have no time to look away from the computer screens, I was proved wrong with the lead Pharmacist herself - Thuy. I desperately needed SOMETHING for a pretty embarrassing cut on my lip (looked like I had herpes girl, so not cute)! So I flew to the pharmacist for any help she had... She asked me about 5 questions like "does it hurt when you apply force?" And "do you desire a cooling agent too?" ... I was shocked and felt spoiled. She comes around the entire counter area to walk me down the Cortisone Cream area and shows me the exact thing I needed (literally called "Liquid Bandage" - HEALED ME IN 24hrs!) Thank you so so so much Thuy - I just want folks aware that this staff is SUPER kind and the lead pharmacist is excellent beyond words. [I also noticed the line moves VERY fast here]! Good work, team! Since CVS took over Target pharmacy, it has been a terrible experience for our family, and we have changed pharmacies as a result. This particular store in Target closed in August, and made no provision re: transferring prescriptions or notifying customers. Other CVS Pharmacies in the area would not fill prescriptions since they were still "in process" at the now CLOSED Target CVS and could not be released! Inexcusable. It took many days, and a call to corporate CVS to get this straightened out. read more

This place is the worst! I've been coming to this Target pharmacy for years with zero issues, then CVS took over and it has been a shit show for the last 2 years. They changed my brand medication with out saying anything to me. There is ALWAYS a wait to pick up medication, often I have to wait for them to even fill my prescription (which is on auto renew). My last visit, I had just come from urgent care for a torn muscle in my back, and needed to get my meds and go home. The pharmacist happen to be in lunch just as I arrived (the staff there tried to nonchalantly put a sign up stating the lunch hours for the pharmacist), and there wasn't a another pharmacist that could fill my order. I called another CVS, and was told "they were really busy too and I should just wait", like WTF!? I begrudgingly waited the 40 min for her lunch break, then came back, and had to wait another 15 min for them to fill it. Then once I finally got home (over an hour after I got there), noticed they had included OTHER patients prescription info with mine! Another WTF!? I called to let them know thIs, and was told "I'll let the staff know to be more careful", isn't this considered confidential information ? The rant could go on about how unprofessional and horrible they are. I'll be transferring away from CVS. read more

It seems so convenient to shop while waiting for prescriptions, but this place is a hot mess and the employees are the worst - what an embarrassment for CVS who in all other locations is efficient. They all stand in the back and ignore customers waiting in line. They take customers out of order and let the most belligerent decide who's next. The communication is terrible - you will have no idea whether they've started working on your prescription or you should wait. To add insult to injury at the end they will ask for a 5 star review. The ladies here ignore you. I needed to pick up my husband's prescription the other week and they chatted in the back while I just stood there for 15 minutes trying to get help. I saw a few people come and go as I waited, probably as annoyed as I was. When someone finally came to help me, it took another ~10 minutes and they said they'd have to call it in at another store. What a useless pharmacy. Go to a real pharmacy. This Target is awful as a whole, including it. The only thing that is worth going for is the Starbucks and that's because it's brand new! read more
