By far the worst place to pick up prescriptions. I should have taken the advise of my Uber driver when he said it would be a long wait. Bad customer service and they can not judge the length of time it takes. 20min should be 20min or close to it. Not 1 he. Then you tell you it's ready but forget they had another prescription. Extremely rude service. The only reason it got a second star is because of the pharmacists who are nice. The cashiers and whoever answers/runs the phones are not. Spent 10 minutes on the phone trying to figure out where my order is (for same-day delivery). For most of the 10 minutes I was on hold, but every time the phone was picked up, the same boy answered and couldn't help me. Finally, I am transferred to someone else and a woman answers and tells me she is new and that I should call back in about 5 minutes so that she can get someone to help me. I call back, and the same boy answers and starts speaking very rudely about how it is not in their system and how I probably am calling the wrong location. After double-checking, I definitely sent the order to their location. They should really work on their customer service. read more

Thankful and appreciate the photo center team- Alex and Brian for going above and beyond with their friendly and helpful customer service! We were at Reno Peppermill for a few days to celebrate my Mother In Laws 75th Birthday and needed to print out a 8x10 photo and have framed. After trying a few times to get both computers to work I asked Alex and she advised me to try plugging the USB into the side panel instead of the front area... worked perfectly! Brian and Alex were so very helpful with printing out the photo in less than 5 minutes, helping us choose a photo frame and then catching that the one we chose had a small crack so changed out for us and even took the time to wipe down the glass frame and place the photo into the frame for us! Their welcome and cheery personalities made for a fun and enjoyable experience overall and completion was so very simple and easy! read more

It's 3:45 am and I'm dying of thirst (from drinking all night). I get up, fill the hotel glass with about 9 glasses of Reno water, but I'm still not satisfied. I grab my clothes and car keys and head to my ride. I drive South on S.Virgina Street two blocks to the 24 hour Walgreen's on the corner. 24 pack of bottled Arrowhead Water - $4.99 and no state tax of course. I'm cool with a place that's open 24/7. I was in desperate need of my Clear Care contact solution since security stole it from me. Yes. THEY STOLE IT!!! It was in the insisted 3 ounces... in a one liter plastic bag. It was clearly contact solution but since it had hydrogen peroxide, they deemed in extremely unsafe. We had to drive around in the middle of the night after I arrived searching for a 24 hour Walgreen. Did I mention that there were shady characters in Reno?? Terrible customer service! Tried to get my COVID shots for two ppl! The website said walk-ins welcome and we took Uber because our car stopped working. We get there and they say oh we're not taking walk-ins today you're gonna have to set an appointment. I set an appointment for 345 which was over 2 1/2 hours later and I before I left I asked and employee can you vaccinate my girlfriend too. He said yes. Then I come back and the manager said no which waste of my time and my Uber money. Horrible management. read more

Not only was Anita a lifesaver, in helping us find what we needed quickly, and easily, but I was truly impressed by her genuine cheerfulness and joyful spirit. My doctor called in a prescription - it has yet to be filled. All I am told is "they are working on it." This is not the first time Walgreen's at 3495 S. Virginia has delayed filling prescriptions. In addition, I have to keep calling to see if it is filled yet - even though they say they will call when it's ready. Which they do not do. Irritating and frustrating. What is the use of the pharmacy if they don't fill the RX in a timely manner? read more

Like others reviewing, I wish I could give this pharmacy (not the store) a 0. Went in 9am when they opened. Counter girl said my prescription would be ready in 15 mins. Came back at 10:00, same girl said it would be a few more minutes. I called her on the 15 min. remark as it was an hour later. She got extremely defensive and said "I don't fill the prescriptions", passing the blame on to the pharmacist. After a short back and forth I sat down and waited for no more than 5 mins. I said nothing more to her, paid for my prescription and began to walk off, she said I needed a receipt to leave the store, I continued to walk when she said "you don't have to be an asshole". Well, I went back and told her she was the asshole and was unprofessional. I assume her supervisor came over and took her side and said it was over and I had to leave. I told the supervisor it was far from over. There were about 4 other customers in line behind me. I went to the front of the store and spoke to the store mgr. After relating what had happened he seemed to know who the girl was without me giving him a description. He said he had seen me come in at 9am. His dejected facial expression told me he wasn't pleased with what had happened, he apologized and said he would take care of this issue. I told him, he did nothing wrong and I appreciated him listening and handling the issue. read more

I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING AT THIS WALGREENS FOR MORE YEARS THAN I can remember. I also was trained there when Walgreens were opening all over Reno. Now as full time customer I would like to give a shout out to MARY. What a good catch for Walgreens. She is so helpful will take the time to do anything within her scope to meet the customers needs. She has a heart of gold also as I asked her one day where I could find a inexpensive blanket for a very cold homeless youth out side the store. Well she found one in the back of her car. I was in awe as was the young man could not stop thanking her. I would love to work for her someday as her understanding and loyal dedication to her job is a plus plus for any store. I just this moment realized that this review I left for the Virginia Walgreens was intended for the NORTH Virginia location, not the south Virginia location. (I was brand-new to Reno a year ago and wasn't aware of the distinctions). I've never had a bad experience at the South Virginia location but Rachel works(ed) at the one on I-80 and Virginia. It's the little things that make the big difference. And while waiting in drive thru for pick up. The pharmacist offer me a doggie treat for my Roscoe. I was really happy with that extra service. And also the text alert to notify me the prescription ready. Way better then assuming its ready. Overall the dog friendinliness and text alerts is what separates them from just being like other chain stores. Store associates being friendly is always a plus. read more

A Walgreens is a Walgreens. Useful cosmetics, beverage, seasonal stuff, toilet paper and general life whatnot. Same basic chain stuff. The Walgreens on Virginia seemed more downscale and kind of depressing then some I've been in. But they had what I came for, a wide and varied selection and some super-cute halloween nicknacks. The checker was nice. The whole thing was pretty easy in and out. No complaints, just nothing that impressive. read more

Walgreens - Wait and wait and wait - Drugstores Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I am a pharmacist and used to actually work for Walgreens. I completely understand how things get backed up and it can take a while to get your prescription. The reason I'm leaving a poor review is because I prepaid for my prescriptions using the express pay option, which is supposed to make picking up your prescription more convenient and quicker. I already paid...they scan the QR code and then we're good to go. Tonight I came in and asked to use the express pay line to pick up my prescription. They had 2 cashiers. They told me they weren't doing express pay. So I waited in line for over 30 mins and didn't even get my prescription because I had an appointment to go to. Prescriptions have been ready for a few days, just to make that clear. It's just frustrating. Get rid of the express pay option then! read more

This review is in regards to the pharmacy. Consistently horrible customer service. The pharmacist Quynh just called me "honey" and yelled at me through the phone after they messed up my prescription. Instead of owning the mistake, I am being sent back to my doctor for a new prescription. Mind blowing. The only reason I go to this pharmacy is because the location is convenient. They are usually out of my medication and I end up making multiple trips back and forth. Another time I called to make sure the prescription was in stock and I was snapped at and told that they couldn't give me that information over the phone. Avoid this place if you want to be treated like a human being. read more

I stopped by here on Friday in desperate need of a medication and unfortunately, the pharmacy did not have the medication that I needed. Somehow, Quyhn and her staff were able to work some magic and acquire enough of the medication for me to stay healthy until they could fully restock. I picked up remainder of my medication today and did not have to wait at all. It was obvious to me that Quyhn and her staff genuinely cared about my well-being. Thank you so much! I came into this Walgreens because it is closer to my home than any other pharmacy. It was 8:45am when I arrived and they open at 9:00am. I was the first one there, as it was so early, but as it got closer to 9:00, there were more people showing up. When the pharmacy did open and I dropped off my prescription, the pharmacist asked if I was going to wait for it. I asked how long it would tkae to fill and he said 20 minutes. Cool, I can wait that long, so I sat down and chatted with another customer waiting for his wife. After about 30 minutes, I went up to the counter and asked the gal with long wavy brown hair how much longer it would take. She simply replied, in a tone that was not pleasant, that the pharmacist would have to talk to me and walked away. Great, but that still did not answer my question. About 10 minutes later she asked me about my insurance then went to go talk to the pharmacist. Another 10 minutes later the pharmacist calls me and asks me about my insurance. Seriously? I gave the gal my card, did she not enter my information? Then, finally, I get my my medication. The whole process took an hour! There was no apology for the delay, no kind of acknowledgement from the staff that I had been there so long, and even when I asked about it, I get a rude snarky comment about the pharmacist needing to talk to me! I understand if they are busy, but say something!! Don't tell someone it will take 20 minutes and then when it doesn't, get rude. I could have left and come back if it was going to take so long. I don't mind waiting, but waiting in the company of rude inconsiderate people is not worth my time and energy. I'd rather drive a bit farther to CVS instead of dealing with people like that. Really puts a damper on your morning, especially when it was going so well. Bottom line: don't expect their wait times to be anywhere close to accurate, and expect to be treated poorly.* *Review is only intended for Pharmacy only. If I could give this a 0 star I would. Absolute horrible customer service! My mom went in this morning and tried multiple times to ask for help and was completely ignored every single time. I wish I could've been there to say something in person but we are definitely not using this Walgreens anymore, EVER! As for the Pharmacy, don't use this location! With 2 cars in front of me I had to wait almost an hour to actually get up to the window. When it was my turn, it took almost half an hour just to get my 1 prescription given to me and paid before I could leave. read more

I go to this Walgreens often, and I like the sales they have. I usually go to buy snacks and the prices are affordable. The customer service is also good and I like that they accept Android pay and Apple pay. I always keep coming back for the awesome sales. The last few trips to this walgreens have been hit and miss. It's not the cleanest walgreens I've ever been to but come to think about it, most walgreens aren't particularly "clean" but I was able navigate into the store and find some toothpaste and a new toothbrush. I was disapointted since I was hoping they had a hair dryer but the only one they had was pink and looked like it was for a little girl. Not exactly what I was hoping for, also they had a special for 3 12 packs for $12 but if I purchased 2 they were 6.39 each - that seemed crazy to me, so I ended up buying the 3rd even though I'm not sure I need all that soda. The service was helpful and knowledgeable about where the products were around the store. All in all I would say 3 stars and will continue to go back and get basic pharmacy things. read more

All I can do is tell you about the poor rude service I received. I was driving and started to get an allergy attack and pulled into this Walgreens. I had been using a 4 hour product from them. I could not remember the total name just "wal" came in a green box and was a four hour duration. I could only find one green package but it was 24 hour. I went to the pharmacy and asked the clerk giving her the description noted. She asked me to repeat and then looked at me like I was speaking Greek. She asked me to step over the a window and had me wait. A pharmacist showed up and asked what I needed. No info given by clerk. After detailing what I was looking for she asked what was after the wal name. I explained that I didn't know and she proceeded to tell me Walgreens had no 4 hour allergy pill. I assured her they did and as I tried to explain again she rudely told me she had heard me the first time. Really? At no time did either look up in the computer for the product. CVS was much more helpful and I found a similar product. When I got home I looked up Walgreens and 4 hour allergy and there it was 30 seconds it took. This store needs an attitude adjustment and training and being told what a customer is and the customer pays their wages. Just got a 10ml prescrip that was filled with three 1ml bottles. Contacting them over phone has lead to a complete runaround and refusal to honor the prescrip just given to us by the doctor an hour or so prior. No pharmacy that gets your prescription 70% wrong and refuses to acknowledge the error should be trusted. Stay away. read more
