The worst pharmacist in the whole entire world by the name of Christy. I came to get a refill of my medication and she told me that it would be a 2 hour wait. So after dinner I came to get my medication when I didn't get a text reminder and it still hasn't been ready! This is ridiculous! She was treating the technician poorly when she told me that she will personally go back and get the medication ready for me. "Christy" yelled at her and said "tell her to come back tommorow". What do you mean come back tommorow? I gave you 2 hours to get it ready! The girl helping me out was very professional and assured me it would be ready. I witnessed Christy yell at other patients and the technician. I felt bad becuae she was so sweet. Horrible Horrible Horrible! I hope she gets fired. This woman has no manners. read more

This is a typical Walgreens in their stock//selection. I've been in here twice because I work up the street and both times the line was excitingly slow. Once when I was there a manger was upset with an employee for not coming back to work yet because his break ended 5 minutes from when she was talking to him. Does that mean if someone has a ten minute break they get five? It just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

This is probably the worst Walgreens I've been to. It is disorganized, quite small, and staff can be rude. And they don't have alcohol. The reason why I mention this is because the one in Hollywood has an incredible selection of fancy beers :). The pharmacists are nice for the most part though, and are quite clear on the instructions. However, the wait times have always been longer at this branch than any other Walgreens I've been to. Update: came here to pick up a prescription, but the wait time was 1.5 hrs!! I've never encountered a wait time longer than 20 min at any other pharmacy. read more

I went there to drop off 3 prescriptions, the guy who "help" me Ari was kind of slow and didn't really care, he didn't have any of my 3 prescriptions, he said he needed to order them and it would take 5-7 days to get here!!!! Seriously guys?where are you ordering those meds from? overseas? any other pharmcy would take 1 or 2 business days! Anyway that poor guy seemed totally lost, apathetic or under something...it took him 15 minutes to check 1 med availability.... I just gave up and left. Too slow and incompetent. I go to this pharmacy all the time and have never had any problems. Wait isn't long and the Pharmacist and pharm techs are pleasant. I have also bought random candy,makeup, and eye drops here before. Staff have been nice and helpful. I witnessed someone claim to have had their item stolen and although it kind of seemed far fetched, the manager was on top of it. Photo prints are also great quality. read more

Absolute worst pharmacy ever. Last three times I've been there the wait in the pharmacy area has been over 30 minutes. I used to be able to go in and out with barely a wait. My doctor's office has called in a prescription twice and both times they have told me they don't have it. The last time, my doctor called it in personally. They tell me I should have a supply based on the last time I got an order, only problem, I didn't get a prescription at the time they are saying. Don't know if the staff has changed in the past few months. But this place is a mess. Even though this is by far the most convenient pharmacy for me, I will not be going here anymore. read more

Convenient parking, good staff, lots of products for such a small space. This Walgreen's really packs in lots of random yet attractive products. I've picked up Christmas gifts, sunglasses, even flavored ice bars here before. read more

I really like this Walgreen's. They are always well stocked and I have never come in and not gone home with something I needed because they were out. The staff is really friendly and helpful as well...without being pushy! -1 star for what seems to be a bit of a weird layout. It would make sense for all products that are in the same category to be together. Yet, I have found that when I am looking for certain items (particularly hair products) that some are in one aisle and the rest of them are in another aisle and further down. Smaller in size compared to other Walgreens I've been to. They don't always carry all the products and brands I use, but if I need the some basic items like trash bags, paper towers or body wash etc., I will come here to pick it up.  The target up the street can get pretty crazy on the weekends, so if I can avoid the crowds I will come here. Not too much staff working at this location.  Though the staff is pretty friendly here, don't expect much help in finding anything as there is no staff except the cashiers in the front. Usually will see at most two cashiers out there. This location does also have a pharmacy located to the far back and to the left of the store and a photo center as well. Parking is pretty convenient. They have a huge lot in front of the store. read more

This review is only for the Photo Dept. I put an order in for 4x6 prints at 3:26pm and they were promised to be ready by 4:16pm (50 minutes). As I was getting ready to get out of the house, at 3:33 (7 minutes later) they sent me an email saying my prints were ready. Awesome! Definitely have had some photo places promise 1 hour and take more than 1 day to have my prints ready. Quick service! Would print photos from this location again. read more

In general, the regular store staff and the pharmacists are friendly and helpful. I've picked up prescriptions from here for some time and occasionally purchased other items from the store. I've gotten the best deals from the store when using coupons of any kind in conjunction with store sales. The pharmacy is good about asking doctors to renew prescriptions so that there is not a break. I've only had one negative experience here. I switched doctors and some errors were made when prescribing, not by the pharmacy. The first pharmacist I called about it was helpful, and our conversation was normal and polite. Before this morning, every single interaction I've ever had at this store was positive. Based on that, I would give this store 5 stars as customer service is the most important factor for me. Unfortunately, the second pharmacist I talked to about this recent issue was very rude. She refused to let me finish a sentence and repeatedly sharply cut me off to demand information that was literally ready to be stated in my next sentence. I kept saying, "That's what I'm trying to tell you," hoping she'd stop slowing the process down with all of her interruptions. I was not being longwinded but was deliberately brief with each piece of information I was providing. Nonetheless, just before I'd state something, she'd sharply, without apologies, interrupt me to demand that information. She seemingly couldn't stop herself. I wondered if she'd had too much caffeine this morning. I will also note that because the quantity stated in the prescription was not a size offered, the pharmacy filled it with a size that was 1/3 smaller instead of asking the doctor's office if they preferred the smaller size or the larger size. The size they filled was less than half what I normally get. I asked that they request a prescription for the larger size, the size shown on my Walgreens records. Pharmacists can at times struggle to juggle many orders at once while maintaining accuracy and speed. I very much understand that and appreciate the importance of their focus. However, this pharmacist allowed her concentration on efficiency to simultaneously create inefficiency and offense. Most Walgreens pharmacists have good communication skills and are courteous and helpful. I do recommend Walgreens. However, since I've twice recently had this kind of experience with a Walgreens pharmacist (first at a different store), I'd advise the regional management to ensure that their pharmacists receive customer service training. It's possible that the pharmacist I spoke with today was the same pharmacist who was rude recently at the other store and was, in fact, working at two different, nearby stores on different days. They sounded similar. As I wrote in my review of the other store, store management may be as much responsible for this kind of experience as the pharmacist themselves. When they do not provide adequate pharmacy tech support, it places undue pressure on pharmacists to fill prescriptions accurately while also providing customer service. That's no excuse for rudeness, but a pharmacist with rough customer service skills may behave in a downright rude fashion when under the pressure of time. Again, I recommend the pharmacy despite this surprising experience, but I also recommend that you let write a fair review of your actual experiences to allow management to made adjustments for more consistent service. I only took one star off for the rude pharmacist because it was my only bad experience at this store. read more

Have been a customer for 7 years-a lot of coming and going of staff including pharmacists. I wasn't too thrilled when they reorganized everything and moved products around. Generally well stocked though. The one girl in pharmacy dept could use personality lessons. Not a bit friendly. No hello. Smile. Thank you. She seems unhappy to be there and helping customers seems to be a bother to her. One girl at pharmacy counter is super friendly but hardly ever there or is gone now. But the girl there now leaves a lot to be desired. These employees need to be friendly and courteous and glad you are there. I preferred this store years ago. It's not the same now. read more

This Walgreens Drug Store is relatively new to the South Lake Business District, but it is certainly a welcome addition. I live in the neighborhood and I never thought I would become addicted to a daily jaunt through the store. Staff are so rude. Went to buy umbrella and asked question from one of the staffs and she answered it when I asked another question she gave a really bad look as if I am not supposed to ask any more questions or as if she was the president and I am taking her time. I don't remember her name but she was the one with short hair. Apparently she is not happy doing her job which is partly helping customers. I should have talked with her manager so they make sure their staff don't look or talk rudely with people. She made me so upset and ruined my day. read more

If you're a Caltech student, this is a great place to get your prescriptions filled, especially if someone at the health center is writing you a prescription. If you make sure that your doc/health provider sends in the prescription request during the day, then picking up your meds is a pretty painless process. At most, you're waiting for a few minutes behind others in line to pick up their prescriptions (as opposed to other pharmacies I've experienced in the past, such as CVS and Rite Aid, where you can get stuck for anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour, just waiting for your prescription). read more

Look, it's a drugstore. You don't come here for fun...you come here for necessities like cough syrup, toothpaste, and prescriptions. But the people at this location make it a little less tedious to run your errands. Efficient pharmacy, friendly staff, and plenty of free parking in back. You can be in and out in 5 minutes. Major props for Leticia in the beauty aisle. She really knows her stuff and is an absolute doll. Plus, Walgreens now has makeup testers (like lipsticks) so you can swatch colors on your hand instead of having to guess based on tiny plastic color chips. So, yeah. Maybe you don't *need* a hot pink lipstick...but for $2.99 while your prescription is being filled? Why not? read more

Stopped in here to look for a specific perfume set for my mother and they did not have it. They did not have much of anything, this location is pretty small and on the day I went looked like no one was working. I didn't buy anything but noticed a line and no one at the register. Not much staff working here. Seemed pretty when i came in. Came to pick up some mascara, but they didn't carry the one I usually get or maybe they ran out. So bummed. Had to drive to target. I work near here and found it very convenient. I found many things I needed last minute from light bulbs to band aids. Very easy to checkout no long lines and lots of parking in the rear. The staff are very nice and helpful. read more

This place is conviently located in the South Lake Shopping District with lots of parking spaces. The store has a good variety of items at decent prices. The pharmacy is reliable, my prescriptions are ready when I need them. The only downside to this place is sometimes they get busy and there is a looong and slow-moving line to ring up your items. I usually only go in the early mornings so I don't have to risk waiting in line for five minutes to buy an item or two. read more

The competition in the drug store arena is not so huge and therefore the choice is relatively limited. This particular one is close by so I tend to go here but not for any specific reason other than convenience. Walgreens have been around forever and are a reliable store. The selection is good and the service adequate. Low prices are not their forte and in that respect you are better off going to Target or CVS. But as mentioned before ... convenience is also important. Huge parking facilities in the back ... but watch the two hour free parking notice. read more

I actually don't want to give any star to this particular Walgreen branch store. It is a particular one store manager that brings my rating down. My husband and I went to this store to take a picture with a white background. The photo tech says no photo inside the store. So we found the manager just to see if it's possible. The manager says no, which is fine and we were about to leave. Just before we set off, the manager came to fold the white canvass. As he was doing so, he started to accuse us of unfolding the canvass without permission, which we didn't since the canvass had been already that way. He also said in a VERY VERY condescending way, "next time you come, you report to my photo tech!" I told him as a customer that I was very upset. He just threw me this so-what attitude saying " You can't report me anyway!!!" REALLY, REALLY,REALLY???!!! If you want customers and don't want ratings like this, this is what you should do as a store manager????!!!! read more

This store is hit or miss. I fill my prescriptions here because I live nearby and its always a quick, in and out experience. However, there was one time when I was quite sick and needed my prescription, arrived slightly before the pharmacy closed, and the manager refused to give me the medicine because she was closing. But, pretty typical walgreens experience. There is a parking lot for free which is great. read more

This review is for the Photo Printing Lab at this facility. I just want to say that you don't know how much I appreciate high quality prints, and this place makes excellent color quality prints. They are not high end high quality grade, but I have gone to cvs, target, rite aid, and this place makes superior prints. I am really happy and is close to my home. I have also gone to pasadena samy's camera and costco, and their prints are not better although they charge more. At least samy's camera. What ever it is they are doing at this walgreens please keep up the good work. Whoever tuned their photo printers did an excellent job and thank you for that. read more

The pharmacist is exceptionally prompt and attentive. She understands that people need excellent care and may not be feeling their best. She also works especially well by coordinating attention to people at the counter and keeping the line moving as well as possible. Recently I had a special request and she maintained regular phone contact with me and resolved a complicated problem with a mail order pharmacy in just a few hours. This Walgreens works like drug stores are supposed to work. read more
