Oh my goodness...when I got home after picking up the chicken-flavored (Yum!) medicine for my fur baby I discovered a mouse in the bag ...a cute little toy mouse to be more exact. Additionally, when I picked up the prescription, I was shown how to administer it using a mess-less stopper on the medication bottle with a syringe. I have been coming here for my pets medication for several years and noticed they have been changing over the time. Before, the pharmacies worked with the vet to provide better dosage, less amount, etc. The pharmacies was very helpful to me as well before. However, it has not been like this last couple of times. Even though my cat was one the same medication, they would not bother to check the previous concentration and gave me double the amount to dispense which was not necessary. Also, they would look out for me to get more cost effective solution which they don't any more - filling the refills at the same time, etc. The pharmacist was cold when I brought up a concerns about the having exact amount of liquid since you can lose some medication when you are cleaning the syringes and suggested that she does not clean hers when she gives to her cat and it should be ok as long as it does not touch cats mouth. If you are a long time customer with many medically challenging cases, they stop giving you toys and provide less finger gloves though you pay the same. read more

Now I use them for all of my prescriptions (I have a chronic illness, so that's saying something haha). This was my 1st and last time using Arcade Lane compounding pharmacy. My furbaby was diagnosed with cancer at the end of October and her vet recommended Mixlab but I was skeptical that their free delivery would really arrive the same or next day. I was an emotional mess at the time and wanted to start administering the anti-cancer meds immediately, so I chose Arcade Lane pharmacy and drove 30 minutes to pick it up the next day. I had an absolutely horrible experience with this pharmacy. I filled a prescription for a 60 day liquid suspension and on Day 42 it looked like the meds were about to run out. I'm in grad school and it's finals time, so I have massive anxiety between finals and the thought of my dog without her cancer meds. I called Arcade Lane on Day 42 to discuss the shortage. The woman who answered was nice (I think her name was Uchiko). I was put on hold to speak with Katherine, the pharmacist. She was not friendly when she answered and after I stated my situation, she was very rude. She had zero sympathy or concern about the situation and said she didn't know why the meds were running out and said it should have been on the (30ml) mark when I picked it up. I said it was my 1st time ordering the meds and I didn't even know there were marks on the bottle and obviously, I cannot go back in time to check. She then asked if I spilled the meds! No, I did not spill even one drop. I said even if I were to negligently go a lil bit over 0.5ml a few times, how could the meds run out 16 days short (the meds looked like they would only last until Day 44). She did not have any solutions and just told me to contact my vet for a refill. I said how do I know if I refill it here that it won't be short again? She rudely said "if you have a problem with the liquid formula, you can choose tablets." WOW. I contacted my vet and told them I know it is not 60 days yet but Arcade Lane filled my prescription 2 weeks short. I did not even realize HOW horrible my experience was until I just refilled the meds with Mixlab on Friday. Not only were the meds delivered to my house for FREE at 8:30am the next day, but it came with a free plush toy for my furbaby, hand sanitizer, two high quality syringes, AND Mixlab includes 5ml extra of meds just in case it runs out. Now, that is exceptional customer service. I noticed major differences between the two pharmacies immediately. Mixlab's bottle cap was much easier to unscrew (Arcade Lane's cap would keep turning many times before unscrewing), Mixlab's bottle has an airtight seal opening (the Arcade Lane's bottle opening was just a big hole), the lines on Mixlab's bottle are more readily noticeable, and Mixlab's syringes are far superior (Arcade Lane's syringe numbers rubbed off blue dye onto my skin from the very 1st use and rubbed off further with each use). And the kicker is that Arcade Lane charged me MORE THAN DOUBLE the price for the EXACT same prescription! The meds ended up lasting until Day 47, so I am short nearly 2 weeks of meds, which is unacceptable given that the nature of this item is for cancer. I paid $153 for 1.5 months of meds at Arcade Lane. It makes me cringe that I did not follow my vet's recommendation the 1st time. I could have saved so much stress and money! With Mixlab, I paid $65 for over 2 months of meds, since they included an extra 5ml. Shame on Arcade Lane to allow people like Katherine to treat 1st time customers so rudely. I will never go back. I have been recommending Mixlab to all my friends and colleagues since receiving my refill. read more

I cannot thank you enough Dr. Gayane for today!! My multipoo is 15 years old with congestive heart failure. Due to unfortunate circumstances I had lost track of my dogs medication. I had completely ran out of his meds as of last night -- leaving him without his heart medication over the weekend. By the time they reopen on Monday and be able to order a refill he would have missed 5 doses, putting his little heart at risk. I called the pharmacy after hours about 8:00 PM Friday and left a urgent voicemail explaining the situation. Dr. Gayane called me back the same night and rearranged her trip plans going out of town and went in the next morning out of pharmacy hours to compound my pets medication herself! Thanks to her, my dog Teddy has his meds tonight. There is no words to explain how thankful I am. I give them more than 5 stars!!
