They have a drive-thru pharmacy. The makeup section was well organized. They have a lot of sales and deals in their makeup section. They sold shoes and fun summer pool toys as well. The bad: A lot of the makeup items have security locks so you cannot remove them to purchase without getting help. I had to press the call button twice to get help. It is organized as one large square and the signs above are visible enough to see where you need to go. We had some time to kill, so made note of some things that I have not noticed at other CVS before. - hands-on ear piercing: nobody was manning the booth, but it looks like it is operational. Of course it is not very private, so wondering how the experience goes, especially for really young children. - there was a section dedicated to Claire's products. It does look like the teenage accessory retailer formed a partnership with CVS in 2017. - there were still some products locked down, but nearly as much as other CVS that we frequent. - the alcohol aisle was blocked off even though it was the afternoon. - the checkout lines were set-up to encourage the use of the self-checkout lines, with only one queue servicing it and the manned register. read more

I had placed a photo order for same day pick up. I didn't get a call that my pics are ready so I decided to call. I was told the person in charge of photos didn't come it. Also, they were out of paper. I sent the corporate an Email. I was going out of town that day for a celebration of life and the picture cards were for guests. An agent called to let me know they could forward the order to a store where I was going. So I did that and received my order. However, customer service is very lagging. This Particular CVS is by the train station and there are always homeless in the area. I don't feel safe there. It's the closest by my house but I'm not going to shop here if I don't have too the manager needs to step it up! Clear out the riff raff! read more

Isabella answers the phone, and I feel immediate reief....short lived. I ask Isabella if she has a vaporizer. She tells me, "I don't know, that is in the flu aisle." I beg her to take 10 steps to see if there is a vaporizer in stock. She refused. Please if you work in Healthcare or in a pharmacy, please know that you are often dealing with ill people. This is an okay CVS compared to other ones I've been to. Most beauty stuff is locked up, and you have to ask the staff to unlock something simple as pimple patches, which is weird. The selection is like any other cvs. Usually there's only 1 cashier, so if there's a long line, then it takes quite a long time. The parking is decent, tho I guess. read more

This is my local and go to pharmacy. I've been coming here since 2015. I just went to pick up meds and was helped by the rudest person ever. Her name is Ginny. She asked for my insurance card because she said the person I'm picking up for is not in the system. I said how odd we have all been coming here for years and they are all under my insurance. She said is this insurance new I said no I'v had the same one for years as well. She said well he's not in here. I said I picked up the same meds two weeks ago and the person that helped me didn't have trouble finding him. She says are you sure it was for him and I said yes he is the only one in the family that takes (medicine name) in the family. She said are you sure you were here what was the date?(in a very condescending way as if I am lying) I said December 11 to be exact there is no reason for me to lye about it. I give her my insurance card she puts it in the system and says "oh ok it went through" with an attitude so I say of course it went through why wouldn't it? And "she said why are you giving me an attitude I'm trying to help you. So I said how are you helping me you're the one giving me a hard time telling me my family member isn't in the system and being difficult about it. I come here all the time and everyone is always so nice to me. She didn't talk to be for the rest of the encounter. She just pointed to the machine for me to sign. SMH she was upset that she had to create a new profile for the medication, questioned me as if I am lying, and gives me an attitude because I'm responding to all of her questions. Then she spends an inordinate amount of time talking with the Spanish-only speaking customer in front of me without acknowledging me. The absolute worst. 30 min on hold to correct a dosing mistake the pharmacy made in my Rx and no one ever answered. Filthy homeless people and junkies wandering around inside. Gross. Just gross. Edit: So, the pharmacy finally picked up. According to the woman I talked to, they got two duplicate Rx from my doctor at the same time with two different dosages. Instead of calling the doctor to confirm which dosage was correct, they just used the dosage from the Rx from the Rx I'd picked up a month ago. This used to be my favorite pharmacy b/c it was open 24/7 and carried French beauty brands. Late night is the perfect time to browse for bargains and use my endless supply of CVS coupons and reward bucks. Wanting to wean myself off Amazon - which is no longer cheaper than the competition - I stopped by this morning and saw a diminished experience, with lots of stuff locked up and entire shelves empty. Ok, I get that. I'm sad about the reduced hours, and I get that this is a magnet for the unhoused. But customer service shouldn't suffer. As I brought my stuff up to check out, the cashier who had been happily chatting with another customer about gift card scams resolutely avoided my eye and proceeded to flatten boxes. If she were doing tasks that had to be done that minute, a simple "please use self-checkout" would have been fine. I hate leaving bad reviews after one bad interaction when I've had far more positive ones, but I want to alert management that customer service is the main reason why people choose brick and mortar stores over Amazon. read more

I know most people are leaving reviews about the pharmacy, but I've never had trouble picking up prescriptions. Anything not related to the pharmacy is also great. Sergio and the people who work the cashiers are the best. Very helpful with any questions I have. It was chaotic during the time when CVS was giving away free masks but Sergio and his team were so generous with the extras they had after the initial influx of customers. All of my experiences here buying small things have been painless and easy. I can't say anything about the pharmacy, but it is a small area with heavy amounts of traffic so don't blame the staff for structural limitations. read more

I appreciate the outside drive through pharmacy pick-up ever since COVID started. It is a real convenience. If you do have to go inside and buy things, cashiers are always friendly and efficient. The worst. False advertising on their own website. They refused to honor discount from their website for a new Rx. I transferred a Rx to them to receive a lower price. I called to be sure my Rx was ready and confirm the price, but was told I had to physically come in to confirm the price. I went on the website and was informed if I joined their CVS plan, I'd get an even better price than GoodRx. So I signed up. When I went in, sorry. I don't shop here for drugstore stuff or anything other than the pharmacy but the pharmacy is really great and convenient for me to come by and the staff is always helpful and not unpleasant in the way a lot of service places seem to be nowadays. The lot is on the small side but they have a drive through for their pharmacy as well. I've never had a line for the drive through pharm so it's really easy fills and you get reminders and can refill via text and/or app. It can be slow but I've never really waited more than 10 min. Hours seem to be extended, longer than a lot of others in the vicinity, so easy enough to drop by off hours when it isn't as busy. Plus, if you go inside, it's fun to check up on your blood pressure. Woohooooie. But, be careful if you go at night cause there tends to be a lot of shady lookin people hanging around the store later in the evening. read more

Unfair and unfortunate .... Possibly quite a unfair rating especially because I always have had really nice experiences with this store from the manager to the staff always so polite and welcoming...... except one person named Tomas or Thomas (I did not make an effort to look at the spelling ) The whole store was really busy especially the 2 ladies in the front were super busy and helping everyone. There was a huge line and they were hustling! I asked if i mai use the restroom and they said very politely that they would open it for me as soon as they get a chance ( completely fair as all the customers were there before me naturally I should wait) .... After a while they noticed that they were swamped and wouldn't be able to attend me as fast as they thought so I went to a employee sitting in the isle on his phone. I informed him how busy they were in front and asked if he could help me. He didn't even look at me and just said it's not working sorry. And continued to text . I had to wait for the hard working women in the front to finish helping everyone then go open the restroom for me and they apologized ( while he was sitting the whole time!) afterward I inform him That he was wrong about the bathroom and how it can be perceived that he just doesn't want to help customers to which he just smiled and said "alright" You can't fix lazy ...... Under no circumstances should I have to wait on hold over the phone for almost 40 minutes. I decided to show up in person to see how many people were in line to make me wait that long for my call to be answered. How many people were in line? Zero. Not a single one. How many people were working? Maybe 7? I was helped almost immediately. The absolute worst... (if only negative stars were possible). Prescriptions are always filled late or incorrectly (i.e., I was routinely short-changed on total # pills - super sketchy...). As such, stopped using this CVS for prescriptions years ago despite it being the most convenient pharmacy commute-wise. Recently, I tried filling two photo-printing orders here - both orders were botched. Despite getting the "ready for pick-up" message - CVS failed to print one order (it was still in queue despite ready-for-pickup message) - so, I had to make a return trip the next day so they could "print the order for real this time" (anyone remember the Seinfeld episode about "rental car reservations" ;) ...). The second order was flat-out "lost" such that they couldn't re-print it. I would have had to "re-select", "re-edit" and "re-order" this set of photos manually in google photos. No thank you. Lesson learned. Save yourself the misery and go to the Walgreens up the street on South Lake. read more

The pharmacy took 2 days to get my meds and told me to come inside to the drop off to ask about my prescription. They asked why I needed it and then yelled at me to leave and according to state law I couldn't be In there which isn't true. I put a mask on and sanitized my hands. "While pharmacies are considered essential businesses that will stay open during the widespread shutdowns, many people are avoiding public places to help protect themselves and others from COVID-19. Technically, you can still go to the pharmacy." I don't think it was appropriate to ask why I needed the meds when you're a pharmacist your job is to count pills and measure and tell people how to take a medication. I was a vet pharmacist for 2 years and it isn't your job to ask why someone needs a medication. Totally unprofessional. The other cvs had my prescription ready in 20 minutes and let me pick it up and were very polite. Give us our paxlovid and do your 1 job. It comes precounted in a box. read more

I had two different creams prescribed to me a week ago which I had to pay out of pocket, so I delayed picking them up due to price. CVS kept send me texts daily that the medication was ready and I received one today that this was the last day to pick up. Anyway , I picked up and the pharmacy student didn't even check, she just charged me. When I got home, I realized that they gave me two prescriptions of the same medication. I should have checked as well. I went back and instead of accepting the mistake, the pharmacy tech who served me got very defensive and said people usually got two of the same Medication. When I tried to explain that I needed the other cream, he took one of the creams and scanned it back and then said that's they didn't have it in stock and they had to order it! I was livid! Why text me all week when you haven't even ordered the medication !! I. Don't text people if you don't even have the medication in stock! That's wasting peoples time 2. Pharmacy students are supposed to be on top of it. She should have caught that mistake instead of caring about $$ 3. If the mistake is on your side, own up to it! Because of the big bright sign that says "PHARMACY OPEN 24 HRS" I have always thought of this as a "24 hr pharmacy." Seems reasonable, right? Well tonight, for the first time in years, I needed a 24 hr pharmacy. It's a long story, but our baby was in the emergency room all day. The ER doesn't call prescriptions in like doctors. They give you a paper that you must bring to a pharmacy. I couldn't get to any other pharmacy in time so, after a very long day, I made it to this place at 10:15pm. Guess what? I have been using this pharmacy for at lEasT 8 years. The last 5 times I have used this pharmacy I have had problems. I couldn't be found in their system. Another time it took 15 minutes for them to honor a sale price that was posted during the current sales week. Today someone finally answered after I waited for 6 minutes and 23 seconds. I have been on hold for a grand total of 17 minutes just trying to get a prescription transferred to another CVS. They just hung up on me. I find it fascinating that this location has so many staff members but only one person in the pharmacy drop off for prescriptions. After waiting approximately 15 minutes I was told that they needed more information from the doctor and that they would fax the individual. Guess what- they never faxed it. I got ahold of the physician's office and they got right on it. I went back to the pharmacy and the pick up window could not make any of the scanning work and seemed perplexed by their system. In the meantime, my physician's office called me to make sure that I got the medication since they had called them three times to only be put on hold. I gave them a 2 because the staff members seemed nice but inefficient and they had a medication my regular pharmacy did not carry. read more

I stopped by my cvs pharmacy, 15 minutes before closing, to pick up antibiotics for my little kids, who were crying from bad earaches. We had just left urgent care. It was hours after their bedtime. The mood was stressful and desperate. The pharmacy wouldn't fill my prescription because they said they don't mix prescriptions 15 minutes or 20 minutes before closing. I pointed to the posted hours, that said the pharmacy closed in 15 minutes. They wouldn't fill it. If I had known this, I could've stopped by another cvs closer to urgent care. I appealed to the pharmacy manager, then to the store manager. I was told there were too many people ahead of me that needed prescriptions mixed, so there wouldn't be time for mine to be mixed before closing. So, not only was this rule not posted or adjusted for in posted pharmacy closing times, but the manager also lied to me, because the whole time I sat there in the drive through, I never saw anyone check out or approach the cash register in the store. They wanted to close early. Also, the store manager recommended I drive ten miles to the Silverlake cvs, when there were other locations much closer than that. Zero help. We really rely on our pharmacy with little kids always sick, and for regular medications. I don't trust this store anymore. And it is just a bad memory. Pass on cvs. read more
